That Does Not Belong To Me is a podcast about human design, stepping out of your comfort zone, attempting to live in alignment, AND letting go of what does NOT belong to you. In this podcast, you will hear real-life examples from real-life people who are
In this episode I go solo! I hop all over the place from how the idea of getting pregnant when you have cancer is allowed to feel scary, to why the Let Them Theory isn't all it's cracked up to be. I share about my new love of reformer Pilates and my mixed feelings about ChatGPT. I also talk about the new direction I'm going by taking a break from group programs and 1:1 coaching to launching my Buy Me A Coffee page (see link below, and feel free to contribute if you enjoyed the episode!) In this episode of That Does Not Belong to Me, we are honoured to be joined by our eldest sister, Tara. Get ready for a heartfelt, hilarious, and sometimes unexpected conversation. We dive into different perspectives on world events, the ever-fascinating debate of nature vs nurture, and ask each other deep, curious questions I never saw coming. Tara wonders how to be honest without hurting anyone's feelings (and why loud chewers exist). I share a personal revelation about whether or not I want to have a baby, and ask my sisters what they would do in my shoes. Nikki poses a thought-provoking question: what do we each secretly want that the other has? There's a lot of laughter (like, turn-down-your-volume laughter), a few awkward moments, and the kind of real sisterly banter that only happens when you truly feel safe to be yourself. To be honest, this episode was just an excuse for us to hang out, but we're so grateful to have you along for the ride. If you're into honest conversations about family dynamics, personal growth, and the messy beauty of sisterhood, this one's for you. Have a question for a future “Dear Sisters” episode? Send it to: info@jaimemoar.com If you or someone you know needs support around domestic violence, please reach out to Maison Horizon Pour Elle.
In this episode Nikki and I once again do our best to answer your questions. We first talk about what weird things we've been doing lately. Then we dive into a question around Nikki's great boundary skills and if she reevaluates them regularly. Question #2 goes deep around the topic of adult friendships and if it's time to let one go. Nikki then brings in a great question around what to do when your kiddo regularly throws a tantrum to avoid going to school (hint hint, screen time isn't the answer). Finally, we get asked what is the main quality that is needed as an entrepreneur. Lots of laughs along the way, and Nikki even therapizes me! Thanks for listening, and don't forget to send your questions to info@jaimemoar.com
In this episode I chat with website designer, entrepreneur, knitting enthusiast and mom of two, Drea Gideon. Previously known as the Weekend Witch, Drea now runs Dia Collective, a web design agency based in Montreal. Her business evolved as her family grew and she now has a team who supports her. Drea also shares how she became obsessed with knitting during her most recent pregnancy and reminded us that we don't need to turn all of our passions into a business (it also doesn't mean it won't ever be!) We discuss our relationship with social media and how the number is truly just a number. I loved my chat with Drea and I can't wait until you meet her! Connect with Drea! In this episode Nikki and I start by clearing up whether or not she is cross-eyed (you'll have to listen to find out!) and then we answer some really juicy questions. One around being ready for a job change, but worried about the guilt that will come from it. Question #2 is multi-layered. We dive into the lasting effects of infidelity and gaslighting and how we feel about strip clubs. And last but not least, a cute question that asks about Nikki and I as little ones and how we've maintained a relationship along the way. As always, thank you for being here! Special episode alert! Welcome to our first episode of Dear Sisters. You asked, and we answered! We do our best to cover questions around topics like self-care, frustration at work, the dynamics of having a family business, and falling in love with yourself again when heartbreak has stolen that love from you. Of course we do this in Nikki and Jaime fashion with plenty of chuckles along the way (is Nikki, in fact, cross-eyed?) These episodes will be coming out monthly, so we would love to hear your questions! Send questions to: info@jaimemoar.com (subject line Dear Sisters) And give us both a follow on Instagram! In this episode I go solo and dive into the energy I'm bringing into 2025. I'm arriving softly, and at the same time with a sense of excitement. I discuss picking a word for the year and how to do that in your own way (mine is BIG...literally the word 'big'). I share about my recent tarot reading that reminded me that I don't need to worry about money or my health, and that the more I can go to the beat of my own drum the better. Maybe those were messages for all of us! I also have a teary moment where I share about the raw truths of dealing with the struggles of infertility during the holiday season. And finally, I'm thrilled to share all of the fun that's to come in this new year. The Homecoming program will now be a 3 month membership that will kick off in February. And I'll be offering a monthly virtual yoga class called Breathing Room, with the first one taking place on Monday January 20th at 8am. I am so excited to connect with you in the year to come! Nikki is back! You all loved my previous episode with her, so it was a no-brainer to have her back on the podcast. We dive into lots of fun topics like how wild it is to be an entrepreneur, how hypnosis could be the exact answer to your problems, and how investing in yourself can have a bigger impact on you than you can imagine. We also talk about our two upcoming programs, and we decided that as a fun gift for you this season we would offer a 2 for 1 deal! Join The Homecoming, which kicks off on October 22nd, and get Nikki's Declutter the Mind program for free! In this episode I share a little update on my life. I share about my health, my marriage, my continued relationship with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada, my pelvic floor physio journey, and The Homecoming. My first round of The Homecoming is wrapping up and it's been such an incredible experience. And I am so excited to lead another crew through this journey. In this episode I get to chat with my longtime friend, Liz Allen. Liz and I go way back, from her working with me at the Marina, to me coaching her, to me bartending at her wedding. And now Liz, a mother of two who lives in Saskatchewan with her husband Pete, is extremely passionate about sharing her birth stories. She wants other women to know that they have options, and that as much as your birth may not go exactly as planned, you still have a say in it. My favourite quote that Liz said was, "There's always your choice and your voice." And I think that can be related to anything in our lives. If anyone has any questions or wants to hear more about Liz's birth stories she would love to hear from you! And if you are interested in dedicating time to building a stronger and more trusting relationship with yourself I highly recommend you join The Homecoming which begins on August 13th. In this episode I get to chat with Valerie Vincent. Val is many things, one being my partner at the Well. We got to chat about her career path, her love of yoga, and how if something doesn't exist, building it yourself might be the best way to make it happen. Val shares how her personal yoga practice made her hesitant to teach it. But I know personally that she was always meant to teach. She steps into this role with compassion, inclusivity and so much knowledge that you are guaranteed to be in good hands when you come to one of her classes. I am so grateful that Val's mom Sylvie encouraged her to open a yoga studio, because if it weren't for her the Well wouldn't exist. And this space has been healing for so many, including Val and myself. In this episode I get to talk to the beautifully inspiring Nicole Marsh. Nicole and I grew up in the same small town and happened to connect again thanks to the world of Instagram. Nicole is your go-to fitness, CrossFit and gym bestie. She has a way of sharing pieces of her life with authenticity that make her both relatable and also someone you would want to learn from. We discuss body image, memories of being a teenage girl, and how even when you think you've found love for your body, there are days when that love is harder to find. Nicole shares a pivotal moment in her life which was when she was at a CrossFit event. It allowed her to see women of all shapes and sizes show their strength and compete without focusing on looks. I highly recommend connecting with Nicole on IG and purchasing her digital program Be Your Own Bestie!
In this episode I chat with the brilliant Sarah Murphy. Sarah and I met through the Soul Detective membership with Natalie Vansier. I immediately felt drawn to her. She is vibrant and full of wisdom, and also happens to be passionate about human design. We talk about the deep dive we've taken into the world of self-development, why community is key, and how a walk in the woods is usually always the answer. If you're curious to learn more from Sarah, to listen to her podcast or to book a human design reading check her out below! In this episode I chat with my dear friend and wonder enthusiast, Jessica Adams. We dive into our WonderWeekend that's coming up on April 5-7th, 2024 in Cowansville, Quebec. Over the course of 48 hours we're going to dive deep into various topics such as mindset, creating copy, playing with Canva, money and finances, photography and marketing, human design, and so much more. You'll leave the weekend feeling so clear on your business, your offerings, and who you are as an entrepreneur. In this episode I'm offering gentle encouragement to reflect on the year that has passed, pick a word for the year ahead, and ask yourself the question: What am I waiting for? I share about why CLARITY is my word for 2024 and about how letting your energy be your guide can eliminate decision fatigue. I hope you enjoy this episode! And since connection is one of my core values, please don't hesitate to reach out on IG (@jaimejessica) or through my website (jaimemoar.com) Wishing you all a new year full of whatever you wish it to be full of!
I've been brainstorming about who I want to interview for this new season of my podcast. I've been trying to think about people that I could have new and unique conversations with that could offer something different to my community. And I figured it out! Both of my sisters came to mind for different reasons, and my middle sister Nikki jumped immediately at the opportunity. So we sat in her home office/gazebo, sitting on the floor while sipping tea and had one of the best conversations I've had in a long time. Nikki is a social worker, reflexologist, counsellor and hypnotist. A true manifesting-generator. She chats about her zigzaggy journey that she is more at peace with now than ever. She also debunks some of the myths of hypnotherapy. Lucky for me, I got to experience one of her combo reflexology hypnotherapy sessions right before we recorded the podcast and it was such a magical experience. You'll have to listen to the episode to find out all of the details! And I have no doubt you'll want to book a session for yourself after listening. Or join her online program that will be kicking off in the New Year! Nikki is still new to the game of being an entrepreneur, but she doesn't need a website or Instagram to be so incredibly gifted. So if you'd like to connect with her or book a session you can email her at: nikkimoar@icloud.com
In this episode I have the absolute privilege of chatting with the brilliant and lovely Diana Davis. As she describes herself in her own podcast, Pollen, she is a gemini, manifesting-generator, rancher's daughter, nomad, matcha snob, former photographer and graphic designer, and the cherry on top, a multi-six figure business owner. I met Diana through Instagram when she sent me a message that I could have possibly interpreted as having an ulterior motive of making a sale. But there was something authentic about it that made me reply. Since then, we've been floating around in each other's worlds at a distance and I look forward to the day when I can join one of her extremely well thought out business coaching programs. Diana shares with me the path she took from living on a ranch, to moving to NYC without a plan, hustling her butt off as a photographer, and taking the leap to coaching creative entrepreneurs. A leap that has absolutely paid off. I highly recommend connecting with Diana to follow along her inspiring journey! After taking a little breather I came back with full energy (and a few unexpected tears). In this episode I share about where I'm at on both the fertility and cancer journey, which continues to be a wild ride. I also talk about decisions I've made in my business such as choosing to not do human design readings at the moment (even though, yes, this is technically still a human design related podcast). I also talk about how the book writing process has challenged me on a new level, and how signing up for a poetry class made book writing seem easy. I also mention a few things I'm loving at the moment. So here they are! Books: Anything Zoe Whitall (especially The Fake and The Best Kind Of People) Aspiring Mama by Melissa Collerett You Better Be Lightning by Andrea Gibson When You're Ready, This Is How You Heal by Brianna Wiest Podcasts: We Can Do Hard Things, with Glennon Doyle (especially the episode with Andrea Gibson and Megan Falley) Life Will Be The Death Of Me, with Chelsea Handler If Books Could Kill (for pleasure) The Brand Is You (for business inspo) Movement: Some Essentrics, some yoga, as much walking as Marley will allow I hope that this podcast continues to inspire you to be curious and to experiment with life. Thank you for being here!
In this episode I get to talk to multidisciplinary artist and creative visionary Jessica Joy Jerome. In the words of Jesse, she is a ceremonialist, pleasure activist, body liberationist, intuitive, psychedelic weed witch. She is a fat, queer, neurodivergent trauma-nerd who practices shamanic-informed Earth-based ritual magic and loves to revel in the beauty, absurdity and mystery of it all. Jesse's magic is in the slow, grounded medicine work where they create soft landing spaces for human beings and bodies who don't always feel safe or seen in traditional so-called 'wellness' spaces. After reading Jesse's bio I couldn't help but feel this deep exhale. And also feel like I need what she offers. In this episode we talk about her life as a young witch living in a small town who became a theatre student and then eventually built a career in set production and design. With a high-pressure job that had long hours Jesse eventually burnt out and needed a break. This led her to creating offerings around psychedelic cannabis journey work which is clearly her calling. She is kind, loving and a soft landing for anyone who has the pleasure of connecting with her. Jesse's upcoming workshop is in Toronto, but we plan on offering it at The Well in May or June. So give her a follow to stay tuned! Connect with Jesse here: Jesse's IG: @jessejoy Soft landings: @___softlandings____
I got introduced to Maida by past guest Melissa Colleret. Mel told me that Maida would be perfect for my podcast, and she was right! Maida is a life coach, specifically for mindset and relationships. But what she really is is a hard ass cheerleader. Maida wrote a book called 'The Road to F*ck It' so that people could read it and activate their inner Maida - a passionate Latina who's other life motto is 'let them.' People are looking at what you're doing with judgmental eyes? Let them. They have opinions about you or your life? Let them. She hasn't had an easy road. Her mother passed away last year, she dealt with a stalker, she returned to Chile which brought up a lot inside. Maida realized through all of this that she hadn't taken the time to process everything that had happened. And while she tries to see a lesson in everything, she knew she was at a breaking point. Not long ago she made the hard, but much needed decision to take a break. This decision wasn't a logical one. She had no idea how long she needed, but she knew she needed it. Her cup was empty and she knew all too well that you can only give from the overflow. Now she is ready to come out the other side, to step back into her coaching business with clarity, and to write a second book! I highly recommend connecting with this beautiful human (and to order her book like I just did!). She is not only fun and passionate, but her authenticity shines through every word she speaks. In this episode I fly solo. I dive into fundraising and how it is both so fulfilling and also a ton of work (surprise, surprise!). I share about my health journey (cancer and fertility struggles are a wild ride you guys!) and of course, about the lessons learned along the way. My theme of the week when recording was 'surrender'. Something I need more than ever as I navigate the rollercoaster ride that is healing. I share my biggest fear, which felt really vulnerable (hence the tears). And I talk about why The Playground, Club Create and The Well are so important to me. Since I always like to leave you with a little something to ponder, I also go through the themes I've been guiding my classes around over the last 9 weeks and I would love to hear which stands out to you! Thank you so much for being along for the ride. Love you lots. PS. To make a donation to my fundraising campaign for the LLSC click the link below! Thank you tremendously for all of your support. https://secure.llscanada.org/site/TR/OTY/Quebec?px=1382857&pg=personal&fr_id=1391
When planning this episode I thought, I could either do it solo OR I could invite my dear friend Ashley to join me. The second option sounded way more fun. And thankfully she said yes! The main goal of this episode was to share about the HUGE fundraising effort I said yes to embarking on for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada. I have 10 weeks to raise $50,000 (or beyond!) for this cause that is near and dear to my heart. We discuss all of the fun events that are to come, the joys and challenges of fundraising, and why this fight against cancer is so important to both of us. As you'll hear in this episode, I believe Ashley was sent to me at the perfect moment. Not just because of all her help with this fundraiser, but mainly because she is one of the best people I know. We hope you enjoy this episode! And stay tuned for ways to donate as we kick off on March 23rd! To connect with Ashley: IG: @ashleyolive Website: ashleyolivieri.com
In this episode I chat with therapist Gaby Balsells. Gaby works at the intersection of Relationships, Communication and Emotional Health, helping individuals & couples reconnect with themselves and their partner! As a Couples Therapist, she has worked with hundreds of people worldwide, helping them stress less and connect more. Gaby shares the story of her own relationship, which wasn't smooth sailing the whole time. It involved living abroad, taking time apart, and making the decision to come back together. Proof that it takes work and support to have a happy and healthy relationship. I loved my chat with Gaby and would highly encourage you to connect with her! In this episode I chat with the radiant Natalie Vansier of Tour de Soul who is currently living in Costa Rica. The jungle was on our side and there were no interruptions! Nat and I go way back. I knew her from my early acting days when I appeared in an episode of Lassie. We've since reconnected in our more grown up years thanks to the wonderful world of spirituality. I loved hearing about Nat's evolving journey from acting, to eating some 'humble pie' (her words), to the world of art, to creating a business led by her internal guidance. Tour de Soul was born in a natural way and has stayed true to its initial vision ever since. While Nat has evolved in terms of her offerings, the foundation was so strong from the beginning that nothing has had to be forced. She is a true inspiration. She's lived a bumpy road of trial and error and is an incredible teacher and guide because of it. I highly recommend connecting with Nat! It's hard to narrow down exactly what this episode was about because there was so much juicy content. We covered everything from book writing to intuitive guidance to healing from dis-ease to your subconscious mind helping you find your lost keys. She shared about her fiery relationship with manifestation and how it's not as 'simple' people make it seem. One of the things Chelsea has taught me is that when practicing meditation, it's not about clearing your thoughts completely but it's actually about the quality of your thoughts. And with that comes the power of your beliefs. Her son once got that typical saying of "I'll believe it when I see it" mixed up and said "I'll see it when I believe it" which is exactly right. Believe it first, and then you will see it. The statement that came out of this eye opening episode was "I am whole". Believe it, and then see it. Chelsea sparks something inside of me that makes me come alive. I highly recommend you check her and her energy school out! IG: @the.energy.school Website: https://www.myenergyschool.com/
I'm baaack! After taking what was supposed to be a longer break, I listened to the signs from the Universe and jumped back into the podcast sooner than planned. Sometimes you need space from something to know how much you love it. In this episode I chat about what I've recently manifested, how I've invested in my healing, The Playground and why I (and others) love it so much, as well as what to expect from this next season (hint hint...you get a say!) In this season I will continue to share about the lessons that human design has to offer, as well as have conversations with humans who are doing amazing things in this world. I'm so excited to be back and so grateful that you are here!
In this episode I am all on my own as I wrap up this 3rd season of That Does Not Belong To Me. I had put off recording this episode because I wanted it to be EPIC. In the end, it was so full of heart and honesty that it couldn't be anything other than epic. I give an update on my health, everything I've been learning recently, my nutrition plan, and I respond to questions around my business, my diagnosis, and my life's purpose. NBD. I also share the 5 lessons that cancer has taught me (even though there are a billion more). As I recorded this last episode I felt like I was directly talking to each of my listeners. It made my heart explode with joy and gratitude (hence the tears). So while I will be taking a little break from the podcast (listening to my gut over here), I'm sure it won't be for very long! I love you all so very much! And thank you for being here. xo, Jaime
I was so excited to have one of my first ever coaches on this episode! I met Mel at a yoga teacher training. I knew the moment that she started speaking about her passion for life that I wanted to connect with her further. As you'll hear in the episode, I was one of the first people who paid her for 1:1 coaching, and let me tell you I was extremely excited to make that investment in myself through her! Mel has lived a zigzaggy journey like so many of us generator energy types. She went from psychology to Lululemon to yoga teaching to opening a studio to coaching to writing to becoming a mom and many other places along the way. I realized while chatting that we have followed a VERY similar journey. One part being that we were both diagnosed with cancer. Her at 25, me at 37. Different types. Different journeys. But I can definitely relate to her a lot. There were so many juicy bits to this episode (like when she opens up about her recent breakup) that you'll just have to listen to find out more! But I will share with you a couple of prompts that Mel mentioned that I think are worth diving into: 1. What would I do if I didn't care what people thought of me? 2. What would I do if anything were possible? I highly suggest connecting with Mel to find out more about what's going on in her world! IG: @melissacolleret Website: melissacolleret.com
In this episode I take the back seat and let Jessica Adams run the show. Well, I try to anyway! Jess asks me questions that I often ask my own guests which was both fun and challenging. I share about who I currently am and what's going on in my life. This includes everything from the Marina season coming to an end, the opening of my new wellness space 'The Well', my virtual membership 'The Playground', my recent diagnosis, the WonderWeekend that we are both hosting at the end of September, and all kinds of laughter and cheersing. It was an absolute joy to be interviewed by Jess who handled it like a pro. And if you're curious about anything mentioned in the episode here you go! One of my most memorable experiences with the vibrant Renee was when she joined us on our first ever WonderWalk. It was in the winter of 2020, moments before COVID struck, and we ventured out onto a frozen lake. When we dove into conversation I remember that there was something stirring inside of Renee. She wouldn't say exactly what, but I could tell the momentum was there and that whatever it was going to be was going to be amazing. At the time Renee had a business called The Hobo Train which she ran for about 12 years. She sewed scarves and bags and learnt all of the ins and outs of running a business through trial and error and self teaching. Around the time of our WonderWalk she knew she was ready for a big pivot. So shortly after is when she moved into the world of jewelry. She did her research, got high quality products to create with, and launched another business off the ground. In true generator fashion, it turns out that was more of a stepping stone. She knew the shift was meant to be bigger. She knew she had gifts she needed to share. And after seeing an osteopath who was also an energy worker she was guided in the direction of her calling: Quantum energy healing practitioner. She is a big believer that we all have the ability to heal ourselves, and that sometimes we just need a little guidance. Which is where she comes in. With her practice she implements the powerful skills of quantum energy healing and second sight to support her clients all over the world in finding relief from physical and emotional issues, in rediscovering their vibrant life-force energy, and in taking full responsibility for their own health, healing, and happiness. And after having two sessions with Renee I can say that she does exactly that. I highly recommend connecting with Renee and experiencing her gifts for yourself! PS. Renee was kind enough to offer a discount to all listeners! When booking use the discount code 'PODCAST10' to get 10% off your session! In this episode I get to chat with the brilliant Stephanie McColm. When we spoke she was newly moved into her home in Revelstoke, British Columbia. Steph has a huge passion for travel, so thankfully she's developed a business that can be done from anywhere. When living in Australia she started a business as a virtual assistant. Then (in Steph's words) the role of a VA simply wasn't enough. She wanted to support others to feel the balance of work and play, too. And that's exactly what she does! Her gift is helping entrepreneurs free up time so that they aren't working in or on their business 24/7. She helps you set up systems so that you can free yourself of those daily tasks that can often take up so much of your time and energy. I've had the pleasure of taking a program with her and I can tell you that her patience is as big as her knowledge of Dubsado. I am also EXTREMELY excited that I will be meeting Steph in real life in Cabo, Mexico where I will be joining her for her mindful marketing retreat SEEN. Want to join us?? "It started with 3 chickens" The perfect intro to this episode with Kristen Gingera of Cheeky Creek Farm. I was so thrilled to be able to talk to Kristen. Partially because I hadn't chatted with a manifestor in a while, and mainly because I have been so curious about her story and her life as a farmer. Kristen and her husband Corey had been living on the South Shore of Montreal when they decided to make a big move out to the Eastern Townships and buy a farm with Kristen's in-laws. Kristen was a teacher and Corey an electrician. When they started their farming journey there was a lot they needed to figure out. But 7 years later they seem to have their feet on the ground (and Kristen got her chickens!) They now have 3 kids and Kristen proudly calls herself a farmer. She's also realized that as manifestor it's ok to kick a project off the ground and then pass it off to others. She also is a very strong believer in eating locally sourced food and that mangos should only be eaten on vacation (just kidding...but have a listen to find out what I mean!) This episode has encouraged me to think more about what I put in my body. I highly encourage connecting with Kristen on IG (her reels are great). And if you live in the area head over to her website to order from her farm! IG: https://www.instagram.com/cheekycreekfarm_mama/ Website: https://www.cheekycreek.com/home-1
In this episode I speak with sacral manifesting-generator Lauren Enright. Lauren embodies being a mani-gen so well. When you hear your story you'll see the beautiful windy path she took to get to the career she has now. She is a multi-passionate entrepreneur who helps women navigate their fertility journey through yoga, support and coaching groups, and as a doula. I met Lauren when we were both teaching at the same yoga studio in Montreal and I knew that the women that were taking classes with her were so very lucky. Whether she's teaching yoga, coaching fertility clients, or providing doula support, her goals are the same: to educate, empower, and support you on your Motherhood journey. I highly recommend connecting with Lauren and checking out the amazing offers she has coming up! Website: https://www.breathewithlauren.com/ IG: https://www.instagram.com/breathewithlauren/
In this episode I have the pleasure of chatting with Jen, who is a multi-passionate entrepreneur. She had big dreams of going to Hollywood and being the modern day Mae West. And she has basically fulfilled that by being on stage as a comedian and a burlesque performer. Jen fell into nutrition when she was struck by a near-fatal autoimmune disease (autoimmune hemolytic anemia) and had to fight for her life. She wanted to do everything should could to not end up in that situation again. And down the rabbit hole of holistic nutrition she went! Now Jen is a holistic nutritionist, a certified vegan health coach a nutritherapy practitioner and a naturopathy student. I feel so lucky to have been able to spend an hour chatting with this hilarious and awesome woman. If you're interested in nutritional guidance from someone who can crack you up at the same time I highly recommend connecting with Jen! This episode was so much fun to record! Gosh I love Katie. Katie is someone who I met in a business coaching program that we were both in with the wonderful Erika Tebbens. As soon as Katie started speaking, and especially when she started speaking about her business, I knew I not only wanted to hire her but I also wanted to be her friend. And that I am. We speak about yoga, meditation, personal practices, energy, human design, and living life in a way that feels good to you. One of the reasons I love Katie is because she speaks about these topics in such a kind and generous way. She knows not everyone is meant to have the same style of meditation. And that everyone has a different reason for incorporating these practices in their lives. And she is brilliant at helping people find their reason. We also talk about the challenges of being an entrepreneur. And how sometimes you need to get another job to take some of the pressure off. And that is absolutely ok. She offers a great reminder that taking a step back in your business does not mean you love it any less. I had the pleasure of joining Katie's Relaxation Club during the fall and winter and it was my favourite 30 minutes of the week. She has such a gentle and loving way of guiding you to move your body in a way that leads to total and complete relaxation - something we could all use a little help with. She'll be kicking that off again in June! And she will be also giving a 'Relaxation 101' workshop at the end of the month! (May 2022) If you're looking to connect with Katie (which I highly recommend!) Website: https://www.katiebraja.com/ IG: @katiebraja
In the first episode of season 3 I interview the fun and sparkly Crystal McIntyre. Crystal is a 1/3 (Investigator/Martyr), emotional manifesting-generator who embraces her many passions in life. She is an intuitive artist and human design mentor amongst many other things (like being the best dressed person Squamish cows have ever seen!) The reason I wanted Crystal here to kick off the season with me is because of her deep knowledge of human design. I think it's important to hear about this fascinating modality from different people using different words, and Crystal has such a beautiful way of speaking about it. We dive into how having a deep trust in human design can help you move through life with ease and how the more you trust it the more you will head exactly in the direction you are meant to go. That is what has encouraged Crystal to dive into her gifts as an artist with full permission. She beautifully creates calendars and picture books and illustrates others' story books. She has the ability to help you birth the story that your soul came here to tell. So if you would like to learn from this wise woman you can find her here! https://www.crystalmcintyre.com/ IG: @crystalmcintyre/
In the final episode season two I get to interview someone very important to me - my dad! When people meet my parents it often gives them a better understanding of me. So here you go! We kick off by talking about him working in the corporate world for 20 years all the while knowing it wasn't right for him. Meanwhile in 1980 he bought a little boat shack because he had a love of boats, and very likely thought it could be a way to get out of working for someone else. We talk about the evolution of this business and about making decisions that weren't necessarily 'logical' but that allowed it to grow in such an aligned way. We also dive into the period of time where we put the Marina up for sale - and about how grateful we both are that we decided against it in the end. Overall, I loved being able to sit with my dad for 40 minutes and tell stories. He is one of the greatest story tellers I know, so get ready for part 2 where we dive into the bank robbery! PS. My dad doesn't know his time of birth so when I tested it out with different times his human design changed quite drastically (early morning he's a sacral mani-gen, 11am onward he's a splenic projector. But if I were to take a guess I would say he's a manifesting-generator considering all the hip-hopping around he does.
In this episode I chat with my beautiful friend, client and mentor Amy Spandau. I first came to know Amy when I listened to her on Heather Kelly's podcast Relentless & Ridiculous. I was on the edge of my seat as she shared her story over this two part interview. Amy had dreams of owning a ranch and she dove heart first into those dreams. What follows is a wild ride of ups and downs and a whole lot of lessons along the way (hello profile line 3!) Fast forward to today and Amy is a CFO, executive coach, board advisor, and finds joy in helping smart, sophisticated entrepreneurs build their businesses and personal finances through her company, Ablaze Financial. In this episode Amy offers so many valuable tips to anyone looking to start a business. And she shares how human design played a huge part in helping her rid herself of the 'shoulds' and find herself again. Amy is such a light in my life and I am so grateful to have met her. In this solo episode I share an update on how my yoga classes and alignment and business programs are going (and how much I'm obsessed with them). With that comes a conversation about the importance of rest as an entrepreneur (and as a human), how knowing your core values can help you live your legacy, and lots more. I also answer a few questions that were sent to me by some Instagram friends! With this I get into how I transitioned from full time yoga teacher to coach, my personal and brand esthetic (call me a fashionista why don't ya!), and my future goals (including some exciting news about what I'll be launching in fall 2022!) I close off the episode with a little human design related reminder that I will never stop repeating. And sprinkled throughout is a whole lot of gratitude for all of my listeners and every single person who has taken a chance on me. I like you and I love you, Jaime xo
In this episode I chat with Yasmin, owner of Boutique Lustre in Montreal, QC. This badass babe is an emotional generator who has been tuning into her sacral's guidance for a long time now. What started out as her mom teaching her how to sew has turned into her owning and operating a boutique where she and her team make clothes that are sustainable and support body positivity. When I was searching for my wedding dress, my wedding coach Carrie-Ann (episode 9 of the podcast) highly recommended Boutique Lustre. And after going into lots of shops in Montreal and Toronto, and trying on what felt like a hundred dresses, Lustre was the winner. When I went back for a second visit to try on the two dresses that I loved I ended up choosing a third one that I loved even more. It was comfortable, it was beautiful, and more importantly it was me. Yasmin says that Lustre changes as much as she does. She believes that clothes should be made to fit bodies, not the other way around. And I couldn't agree more. So if you're looking to get out purchasing fast fashion and wanting to support an ethical business I highly recommend starting with a piece that is made with so much love by Yasmin and her team at Lustre. Check it out here! Website: boutiquelustre.com IG: @boutiquelustre
In this episode I interview beautiful generator, Emilie. She opens up about her life story that I'm sure many listeners will be able to connect to. Emilie was a teacher for almost 10 years until she realized that her teaching career was draining the life out of her. As much as she loved her students, working in the system wasn't feeling aligned anymore. Next thing you know, she signed up for an acting class and everything changed! She found parts of herself that she didn't know were there. And it truly allowed her to break free from the box she had been put in (hello line 5!). And then Emilie proceeded down a windy path of ups and downs, where lessons were learned and powerful connections were made. While dabbling with acting, Emilie jumped into the bar industry where she learned MANY more lessons until she was finally called into the world of health and wellness. And mainly what she was called to was connecting with the spiritual side of herself. She then found essential oils, plant medicine, veganism, movement, reiki, and other energy healing tools. Which is what she now prioritizes and shares with others. So if anyone is looking to dive deeper into their spiritual journey, or even just to take care of themselves, I highly recommend connecting with Emilie. emiliealmontes.com @emiliealmontes
In this episode I chat with beautiful emotional manifesting-generator Amelia Lehman. Amelia was born in Australia and has lived in Canada for all of her adult life. As much as she misses the sounds of the birds in Australia, she seems to love the mountains of Banff even more. I loved hearing about Amelia's journey into the world of entrepreneurship. Her line 1 in her profile (the investigator) showed up hard when she taught herself how to start a matcha business. Fast forward not even 2 years and she turned Matcha Nude into a successful business which she sold at the end of 2021. Now Amelia is an energetics coach who uses reiki and human design to help you become yourself again. And in this episode I have so much fun talking to Amelia about human design and how it's impacted her life. She is a bright light in this world and I highly recommend you connect with her! I am so excited to introduce you all to Danielle Searancke - a professional spiritual medium, mentor, educator & indigenous entrepreneur. When my friend Nikki (from episode 19) told me about Danielle I immediately started binging her Spirit School podcast. And then I immediately knew that I wanted her on my podcast. And Danielle is a big deal! So when she said yes to being on the show I got nervous/excited. In this episode, manifesting-generator Danielle tells us about her windy road to entrepreneurship. She tells us about her stage fright, the leap she took from the motor industry to the spiritual world, about being married to a skeptic, about connecting with your spirit guides, and so much more. Danielle is immediately a trustworthy and loveable person. I could listen to her talk all day. And on reflection, I wish I had asked her a billion more questions. Which might mean I need to have her on for part 2! To get in touch with Danielle: Website: squamishmedium.com IG: @squamishmedium
In this episode I talk to my manifesting-generator childhood friend Nikki Johnston. I always 'joke' that this podcast is a great way for me to catch up with friends (and it really is), but these conversations are more than just shooting the sh*t. Nikki shares her journey from thinking that she 'should' have a desk job to becoming a pregnancy and postpartum fitness coach. There was some trial and error along the way (as there should be), but at the core of it Nikki knew what she loved most. Which was to spend time out in nature, moving, getting stronger, and building connection to self. When Nikki herself got pregnant a couple of years ago her fitness business evolved into one where she helps pregnant women and new mothers take care of themselves and have a better understanding of their bodies. She also shares her journey to motherhood - and I am so happy she did. So many struggle with this journey and Nikki sharing her story will hopefully help others feel not so alone. If you are pregnant, a new mom, or know someone who is, please feel free to spread the word about Nikki! She is a wonderful human with so much knowledge to share. Oh! And she is an expert at poppin' a squat ;)
In this episode I talk to the beautiful and wise Drea Gideon. Drea and I met through the world of yoga. I was teaching at a yoga studio in Montreal where she was a dedicated student. We share how our relationship with yoga has evolved, both due to COVID, and due to our own personal evolution. Drea also opens up about mental health and shares her journey towards healing. She is open, honest, and as a Generator with a 3 in her profile she has a whole lot to share with the world. Not long ago this brave woman took the leap into the world of entrepreneurship and brought back her childhood passion of using her creativity to develop websites. That's right! She was making websites at the ripe age of 8 years old. And now she gets to help people in the wellness industry share their gifts by helping them create beautiful and meaningful websites. So look no further! Your website witch is here! To connect with Drea! Website: dreagideon.com IG: @dreaea
In this episode I get extremely vulnerable and raw - exactly what I want for this podcast. It kicks off with me sharing a little about where I'm at in this season of my life and my business. I talk about how deeply I'm enjoying my yoga classes, how much I am learning through guiding my programs, and my hopes for all that is to come. And then I get to the main topic of the episode...relationships! I share a little about my past and the journey I took that led me to finding Duncan. I also open up about the work we do on our relationship, and how hard yet important that is. So while I may not be a relationship expert, I definitely love sharing my experiences so that others don't feel alone. That's one of my purposes in life, and one of the purposes of this podcast - to remind you that you are not alone. And as always, I hold huge gratitude for each of you that take the time to listen. I like you and I love you.
In this episode I chat with one of the best and most hilarious humans in the world, Joshua Gorrell. Josh and I met through the world of online learning and coaching. We took a few programs together and as soon as I heard him speak I knew I wanted to be his long distance friend. This beautiful human being is an interior design consultant, realtor and innkeeper who lives in Oregon. If you don't follow him over on IG you need to get on it. Rather than following hundreds of funny meme accounts you just need to follow his because he shares all of the best ones. No matter where you live you can book with Josh for an interior design consultation or you can enter his 'Pet Sweater Weather' contest by sending him a photo of your adorable animal in a sweater. Draw is on November 22nd, 2021! AND you can join him for a virtual Christmas card making coworking event on December 5th 3pm EST. I will definitely be there! In this episode I interview not one, but 2 brilliant guests! Melanie, Danielle and I met by taking multiple coaching programs together. And after subtly interacting in larger groups over Zoom we decided to become friends outside of that. And what has come of this friendship is more than I could ever have imagined. One thing being support. We have met biweekly for the last year to support each other, ask and answer questions, hold each other accountable, and laugh. So much laughter. They are two women who I can show up fully and unapologetically as myself with - which is exactly as it should be. What you'll hear in this episode is more hands-on ways of embodying your human design by us sharing some real life examples of how it's changed our lives and helped us run our businesses. We talk about what we love about human design...and also what we don't love. And we close off the episode by chatting about the brainchild of Danielle: The School of Human Design. There are two more months of incredible programs in the school that you will definitely want to jump into! So check out the links below to find out more. In this episode I chat with the man I wake up next to every morning: Duncan McKenna. We speak about how our relationship came to be, about travels, road trips, adventures and mis-adventures. We talk about our engagement, forget to talk about our wedding, and get vulnerable about seeking help from a relationship coach. I won't go into much more detail here because it's definitely worth listening to. Duncan has a way with words and I feel very fortunate to have been able to sit with him for over an hour to chat about life. AND this is the 13th and final episode of the first season of That Does Not Belong To Me! I am so grateful for everyone who has listened and supported me along the way. And I am very excited to kick off the second season!
In this episode I interview a very special guest...myself! You get to hear me answer my very own journal questions out loud. I discuss everything from running a very successful restaurant to teaching yoga in the most magical space to the truth about what alignment means to me. It's unscripted and real. If there is anything I want from this podcast is for it to feel authentic and vulnerable and for you, as the listener, to feel like you are not alone in this world. I also talk about exciting offers I am creating for the fall. So stay tuned for more info on my 6 week intimate group coaching programs: Alignment & Slow and Alignment & Go!
