When AI first came on the scene, I was skeptical, and my early interactions confirmed my suspicions: when it came to content, AI's attempts were generic and easy to spot. But AI has evolved, and so have my opinions. I've come to believe that when used well, AI doesn't take over your voice... it helps you amplify it. It doesn't steal your creativity... it gives you time to actually use it.In this episode, I'm talking with Kinsey Soderberg of Authentic AI about how creatives (even skeptical ones!) can use AI in a way that feels aligned, ethical, and actually helpful. We're breaking down:Why creatives and women especially need to be shaping how AI evolvesWhat it means to take a human-first approach to AIAnd how we co-created a brand new AI-powered blogging tool for Consistency Club that helps photographers write better blog posts faster... without losing their voice or uniqueness in the processIf you've been curious about AI but don't want to sound like a bro-y robot, this episode is a refreshing, no-pressure look at what's possible when strategy and soul work together.LINKS:Follow Kinsey on Instagram Visit Kinsey's website Register for the Summit (and get your workbook!) After more than four decades of activism and advocacy, David Suzuki is one of the most renowned and respected voices in the environmental movement. So when he says it's too late to stop climate change, people take notice. And that's now exactly what he's saying. He's delivering this message as Prime Minister Mark Carney's government focuses on fast-tracking major projects it deems to be of national interest, which could include a new pipeline for fossil fuels from Alberta. Suzuki says that, despite his understanding of the climate crisis, Carney — like all of us — is trapped by the economic and political systems we've created. And for Suzuki, our only hope for survival is to scrap those systems entirely. In this special episode from our colleagues at Front Burner, David Suzuki joins host Jayme Poisson on the podcast for a wide-ranging discussion from what a world of irreversible climate change looks like to what he describes as the "madness" of continued investment in fossil fuels to the lessons environmentalists of the future can take from the past. Research shows that money activates more areas of the brain than sex, death, politics, or religion. By Rory Henry CFP®, BFA™For CPA TrendlinesA recent McKinsey study found that the demand for holistic financial advice increased 60% from 2018 to 2023. Meanwhile, another McKinsey study projected a shortage of 100,000 financial advisors by 2034. That gap is leaving a massive opportunity for CPAs to step up as holistic advisors. MORE Rory Henry and The Holistic Guide to Wealth Management BUY the Holistic Guide to Wealth Management A recent Holistic Guide to Wealth Management book panel discussion with two industry luminaries showed that CPAs who are in the best position to thrive as holistic advisors are those who use technology to deliver deeper planning and relationship-driven advice. “Traditional econometric models were all predicated on this idea that people were rational,” noted psychologist, author, and behavioral finance expert, Dr. Daniel Crosby. “What we actually know is that it is perhaps least true of us when it comes to money.”
What happens when AI meets the human mind in the world of thought leadership? In this special compilation episode of Leveraging Thought Leadership, host Bill Sherman brings together four voices at the forefront of AI and innovation: Jen Cohen of Toyota Research Institute, Stephanie Grayson a Content Marketing Leader and Thought Leadership Advisor, Amelia Ross of Primer AI, and Spencer Ante, formerly of Meta. Each offers a powerful, firsthand take on how AI is changing the way we lead, communicate, and make decisions. Jen Cohen explores how AI can amplify—rather than replace—human potential. At Toyota, she's seen how automation can unlock joy and confidence, from safe driving to elder care. For Cohen, AI is about purpose, empathy, and enabling people to thrive through their “ikigai.” Stephanie Grayson shares how AI is becoming an essential research partner in the world of B2B thought leadership. But she also flags real risks—from bias to hallucinations—and warns that without humans in the loop, AI can damage brand trust faster than it can build it. Amelia Ross breaks down how natural language processing (NLP) can make sense of real-time chaos, like the war in Ukraine. She reveals how AI-driven insights helped governments and companies cut through disinformation and find clarity in crisis—demonstrating the societal power of smart content strategy. And Spencer Ante takes us to the edge of the AI frontier, where generative tools like ChatGPT are reshaping not just how we work, but how we think. A former investigative journalist, he calls on business leaders to collaborate with AI—not fear it—and to focus on managing truth, training systems, and preserving human creativity and empathy. From content to ethics, strategy to scalability, this episode is a must-listen for anyone leading in a world shaped by machines—and guided by human insight. Four Key Takeaways: • AI should be used to amplify human capability, not replace it. Whether in automated driving or elder care, AI can remove risk and enhance joy—while preserving purpose and human involvement. • Thought leadership must remain human-led and carefully validated. AI is a powerful research assistant, but without human oversight, it risks spreading misinformation and damaging trust. • AI-driven NLP can turn unstructured real-time data into actionable insight, helping organizations cut through disinformation and respond quickly to fast-changing global events. • AI won't replace human creativity—it will augment intelligence. Leaders must learn to collaborate with AI tools, supervise them, and guide them with empathy and strategy.
In the rapidly accelerating world of Artificial Intelligence, the pace of innovation can feel overwhelming. From groundbreaking advancements to the ongoing debate about governance and ethical implications, AI is not just a tool; it's a transformative force. As we race towards super intelligence and navigate increasingly sophisticated models, how do we ensure that human values remain at the core of this technological revolution? How do we, especially in the trust-based nonprofit sector, lead with intentionality and ensure AI serves humanity rather than superseding it? In this episode, Nathan and Scott dive into the relentless evolution of AI, highlighting Meta's staggering $15 billion investment in the race for super intelligence and the critical absence of robust regulation. They reflect on the essential shift from viewing AI adoption as a finite "destination" to embracing it as an ongoing "journey." Nathan shares insights on how AI amplifies human capabilities, particularly for those who are "marginally" good at certain skills, advocating for finding your "why" and offloading tasks AI can do better. Scott discusses his recent AI governance certification, underscoring the complexities and lack of "meat on the bone" in US regulations compared to the EU AI Act. The conversation also explores the concept of AI agents, offering practical tips for leveraging them, even for those with no coding experience. They conclude with a powerful reminder: AI is a mirror reflecting our values, and the nonprofit sector has a vital role in shaping its ethical future. In a world that often feels chaotic and uncertain, what is it that makes some leaders thrive where others crumble? The answer likely isn't what you think. It's not the fancy job titles, experience, or even raw intelligence. It's how comfortable they are steering the ship when they can't see the horizon. It's the ability to bring clarity when everyone feels confused, understand their own blind spots, and truly connect with people – the human-centered skills that most leaders were never taught. Today on The Bridge to FulfillmentⓇ, Blake welcomes Minette Norman. She is an award-winning author, speaker, leadership consultant, and former Silicon Valley executive. Author of "The Boldly Inclusive Leader" and co-author of "The Psychological Safety Playbook," she now runs her own consultancy dedicated to helping leaders unlock their organizations' full human potential through collaborative and inclusive practices. In this episode, you'll learn the most important leadership skills for the AI era and how to lead effectively in times of uncertainty. You'll learn why human skills like empathy, compassion, and creativity are the keys to effective leadership. You'll also learn how to invest in your team's psychological safety and better ways to think about inclusive hiring and more transparent leadership. What You'll Learn: Skills that leaders need to focus on now (10:29) More effective hiring practices (16:46) Why people are less engaged at work (20:21) Recognizing the role emotions play (31:11) A curiosity challenge (41:18) Favorite Quotes: “Having to put on that mask is a huge cognitive burden that actually is creating some of the problems of anxiety and stress. And people are feeling less engaged at work because they can't feel fully present or fully safe.” –Blake Schofield “Leaders, in this age of uncertainty, anxiety, fear of AI and jobs going away, we need to invest more in the skills that are deeply human, the skills that no AI is ever going to have. What is it that we have as humans? It's empathy and compassion and creativity and all the things that are that are uniquely human. This is where leaders need to focus.” –Minette Norman “I think we're moving into a place where the true leaders and true companies that will really be empowered to create growth and become market leaders are the ones that understand these nuances about people working differently, creativity, creating cultures where people are innovating and comfortable with the unknown.” –Blake Schofield “We do not leave our emotions at home when we go to work. They are what make us human. And in fact, without emotions, we can't function, we can't make decisions, but to not acknowledge them does us such a disservice.” -–Minette Norman Additional Resources: Connect with Minette Norman: Website: https://www.minettenorman.com/ Free resources on inclusive leadership: https://www.minettenorman.com/resources LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/minettenorman/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/minettenorman/ For programs and opportunities to work with Blake, go to www.BlakeSchofield.com
In this episode, I sat down with Joseph Anderson from Reliability X for one of the most honest and refreshing conversations I've had on reliability. We didn't just talk tools, data, and KPIs… we talked about what really matters: people.Joseph shares his own journey, from what he calls being a “defect initiator” (yep, he says he would've fired himself back then!) to becoming a leader who changed plant performance by focusing first on the people behind the machines. What really hit me was when he mentioned that maintenance departments have an 80–85% divorce rate. It stopped me in my tracks. That stat alone says it all: reliability is about more than machines. It's about creating workplaces that don't destroy home lives. What I love about Joseph is he breaks down reliability into simple human truths. Relationships between operators and maintenance, leaders who actually listen, collaboration over blame. He even draws lessons from his time running restaurants to show how these principles go beyond manufacturing—they're about how we treat people, full stop.We also got real about why companies trip themselves up: blaming individuals instead of fixing broken systems, chasing completion rates instead of real results, buying the latest tech without teaching people how to use it properly, and cutting costs today only to pay big later.Through it all, Joseph keeps coming back to the same truth: when people know you care, they'll care for the equipment. It's that simple. If you lead a maintenance team, run a plant, or just want to get better at building a strong, reliable culture, this one's for you. As Joseph says: "Maintenance is simple. Don't overcomplicate it. Don't make it harder than it needs to be."Support the show

Exposure Ninja Digital Marketing Podcast | SEO, eCommerce, Digital PR, PPC, Web design and CRO
This is a BONUS EPISODE of the Digital Marketing Podcast by Exposure Ninja---------------The marketing landscape is becoming increasingly automated and impersonal — yet consumers are longing for authentic connections before making major purchasing decisions. This disconnect creates an unprecedented opportunity for forward-thinking marketers willing to take a radical approach: putting humans back at the center of their strategy.Over $1 trillion was spent on advertising last year, but studies show people only remember about 3% of the ads they see. That means roughly $950 billion was wasted on forgettable marketing that failed to create meaningful connections. In this episode, Exposure Ninja's CEO, Charlie Marchant, is joined by Phil Tregus-Evans, CEO of Giraffe Social Media and author of the new book "Human First Marketing," who reveals:• Why treating B2B customers as data points rather than humans is destroying trust and wasting marketing budgets (and the simple shift that instantly changes how prospects respond)• The shocking problems with the traditional marketing funnel that dates back to 1898 (and the innovative "Pinball Method" that accurately reflects how modern buyers actually make decisions)• A practical framework called EMPATH that replaces outdated customer avatars with nuanced human understanding that captures what demographics consistently miss• How to strategically balance AI implementation with authentic human connection (avoiding the "lazy AI" trap that makes your content instantly forgettable)In this episode, you'll discover why putting real team members at the forefront of your marketing substantially increases conversion rates and how leading brands are rebuilding trust in an increasingly sceptical marketplace. As Phil explains: "I think with the advance of data and all of the different ways we now do marketing, we've kind of lost touch a little bit with the fact that when you boil it down, marketing is just one group of humans trying to demonstrate the value they can provide to another group of humans."If your competitors are fixated on automation while neglecting the human element, this episode provides your roadmap to meaningful differentiation that drives sustainable growth through authentic connection.
