    Ivy Insights

The Happy Writer with Marissa Meyer podcast is an absolute delight to listen to. From the ukulele intro to the cheerful and happy tone throughout, it provides a wonderful escape from the stress of daily life. Marissa Meyer, best known for her young adult novels, is the perfect host for this writer-interview podcast. She has a great mix of energy and charisma that keeps the conversation flowing smoothly and prevents it from descending into disarray. With a new episode every week, it's always exciting to see what guests she will have on next.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is Marissa Meyer's ability to showcase various authors and their writing processes. Whether they are established writers or debut authors, she brings out interesting insights into their creative journeys. The focus on how to be creative while also being happy is incredibly inspirational and refreshing in a world that often glorifies struggling artists. Additionally, the podcast features many debut authors whose books are added to my ever-growing To Be Read list.

Another great aspect of this podcast is Marissa Meyer's interviewing skills. She asks creative and thoughtful questions that prompt her guests to reveal different and unique sides of the writing industry and their personal writing habits. Her genuine interest in their work shines through in each conversation. As both a reader and a writer, there is something for everyone to love about this podcast.

While there aren't many negative aspects to mention, one minor drawback could be that some episodes may not feature authors that resonate with every listener's taste in literature. However, with such a wide range of guests, there is always something new and intriguing to discover.

In conclusion, The Happy Writer with Marissa Meyer is an exceptional podcast for anyone interested in the world of writing or looking for inspiration in their own creative endeavors. Marissa's infectious personality and genuine passion for storytelling make her not only one of my favorite authors but also one of my favorite podcasters now. With its positive yet realistic tone, this podcast provides the perfect companion for writing sessions or commutes. I highly recommend giving it a listen and joining in on the journey of creativity and happiness.
