Lloret de Mar ha programat, pel mes d'agost, un nou espectacle de dansa titulat Dafne i inspirat en el mite d'Apol·lo i Dafne, en el qual les fletxes de Cupido desencadenen un dels grans relats de la mitologia clàssica. La representació, que tindrà com a escenari l'amfiteatre dels Jardins de Santa Clotilde, comptarà amb alumnes de l'Aula de Teatre i de l'acadèmia de dansa Alira. Serà una història de transformació, amor i natura, combinada amb l'essència dels Jardins de Santa Clotilde. Es tracta d'una proposta dirigida pel lloretenc Joan Romà Ortiz, que compta amb les coreografies d'Iryna Khrebtova. A més, hi haurà una col·laboració especial de l'actor Lluís Soler, que posarà la veu al déu Peneu, pare de Dafne. La regidora de Patrimoni Cultural, Cristina Aymerich, destaca la vinculació que té Lloret de Mar amb el mite en el que s'inspira l'espectacle. “És un espectacle innovador que parlarà del mite d'Apol·lo i Dafne, un mite molt arrelat al sentiment lloretenc, perquè el nom de Lloret està vinculat al llorer, l'arbre en el que es converteix la nimfa Dafne per escapar de la persecució del deu Apol·lo”Cristina Aymerich L'espectacle Dafne es representarà els dies 21 i 22 d’agost, a dos quarts de nou del vespre, a l'amfiteatre dels Jardins de Santa Clotilde.
