Cybersecurity is an industry rife with paradoxes and trying to get ahead of today's vast threat landscape can feel like an endless loop of Penrose steps. This week's guest Marilise de Villiers, co-founder and CEO of ROAR Consulting & Coaching shares insights on how to break the vicious cycle in an industry where the burn out struggle is real - particularly during the last year as the line between work and home vanished. Marilise shares details for building a personal toolkit for success that not only helps individuals build resilience but can also help organizations shape cultures that support security-first mindsets that truly make your people the strongest front line of security defense. Key to success? Defining what good looks like and redefining winning when winning is seemingly impossible. Joe Rizzo brings you baseball. In a podcast about baseball and about life, Riz & "The Dawg" Jeff Healy did their "Thursday Night Live" format, just after Jacob deGrom left the Mets-Braves game, trailing 3-2 after a "human" outing. deGrom allowed three of the first four batters in the game to score, but ended up with 14 strikeouts in 7 innings pitched. Listen in as Dawg labored through the bizarre Mets-Braves finish in real time. The Yankees entered the day 41-39, but their play recently has driven the public and their fans into a panic about what to do about it. Fear not, "Doctor" Riz has the plan to fix it, and it's an extension of what he prescribed earlier in the season when the Yanks hit a similar skid. Some interesting names would end up on the corners in Yankee Stadium if Brian Cashman could make good on these deals. What happened on this date (July 1) in 1987 and 1992? Listen in to find out. You'll also get background on the NCAA's handling of the sudden dismissal of NC State from the College World Series, the lauding of new champions Mississippi State, and the curious final "out" off a bunt from Vanderbilt. Dawg kicked it off with Veteran of the Day. It was Jeff Casucci, the cousin of Riz & Dawg's dear friend, Fr. Russ Murray, who was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, cousin, and uncle that passed away suddenly at the age of 49. Jeff is survived by his wife of 24 years and best friend, Alicia, who he met while at Airborne School at Ft. Benning, and their four children. Jeff and Alicia were married Oct. 26, 1996, the day his Yankees defeated her Braves in the World Series. The West Point graduate Served 5 years as artillery officer at Ft. Sill, Okla. He kept supporting vets after he left active duty. Jeff served for five years as the president of Sticks for Soldiers, Inc., a charitable organization designed to raise awareness among high school lacrosse players about the sacrifices of U.S. veterans. Jeff and Riz shared an alma mater, Bergen Catholic High School. Please check out our sponsor, FMS Graphics (https://www.fmsgraphics.com), for all your print and promotional needs. On today's episode, Jason kicks things off in a somber mood following Anthony Davis' groin injury in Game 3. The Los Angeles Lakers cannot beat the Phoenix Suns in a series without AD. Point blank, period. LeBron James has been historically great with his back against the wall but the rest of the roster leads a lot to be desired. Dennis Schroder, Andre Drummond and Alex Caruso are fine when they're playing next to LeBron and AD. But when the big guns are off the floor they turn into pumpkins. The Lakers better hope that AD's injury isn't as bad as we initially thought. Later, shares his thoughts on the Boston Celtics fan who threw a bottle at Kyrie Irving on his way off the floor. It was disgusting and embarrassing. In many ways, it was a microcosm of what we see on social media these days. A few bad apples - who don't have the heart to say anything to your face - do something stupid and end up ruining things for everyone else. This recent string of fans behaving badly has almost overshadowed the actual play on the court - which has been fantastic from the Brooklyn side. Kyrie, Kevin Durant and James Harden look as good as advertised, and it should make Nets-Bucks in round 2 must-see TV. Finally, the Los Angeles Clippers rolled in Game 4 against the Dallas Mavericks and suddenly seem to be in control of the series. The Clips looked like they were ready to fold early Game 3 on Friday night but came roaring back to win, and they were able to carry that momentum into Sunday. Kawhi Leonard has been unstoppable, Paul George looks great and Luka Doncic is playing hurt. Somewhere, Clipper Darrell is smiling. The world of North Dakota politics, in the current moment, is one in which Republicans can't get along, and Democrats can't win. A faction of the North Dakota Republican Party, deeply aligned with former President Donald Trump, has launched a largely unsuccessful campaign to take over the state party. Yet though they've fallen short, their actions at local district meetings, including censuring sitting Republican lawmakers, have roiled the NDGOP. Meanwhile, the North Dakota Democratic-NPL has chosen more leadership for a party that hasn't won much of anything for going on three decades. Can the NDGOP's political dominance survive this fraught and divisive moment? Can the Democratic-NPL overcome the toxicity of its brand to take advantage of Republican infighting? Chad Oban, a former executive director of the Democratic-NPL, joins this episode of Plain Talk to discuss.

Acts 19:16 (NSAB) 1 It happened that while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul passed through the upper country and came to Ephesus, and found some disciples. 2 He said to them, Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed? And they said to him, No, we have not even heard whether there is a Holy Spirit. 3 And he said, Into what then were you baptized? And they said, Into Johns baptism. 4 Paul said, John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in Him who was coming after him, that is, in Jesus. 5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking with tongues and prophesying.
