In this message, Pastor Armando explores the challenges Christians face in a world that mirrors the world of Babylon—a culture that promotes godlessness, materialism, and rejection of objective truth. Drawing parallels to the story of Daniel in Babylon, Pastor Armando underscores the need to hold firmly to their identity in God, even amidst societal pressures to conform to worldly values.Pastor Armando encourages us to embody both love and truth, to stand united in faith rather than divided by politics, and to prioritize heavenly citizenship over worldly affiliations.Topic: Cost of the call to follow Christ | Faith challenges | Faith Testing Main scripture: Daniel 1-6Support the show ------------------------------------------WANT MORE?Say You Love Me 1: Building Healthy RelationshipsToxic 1: What are Toxic Thoughts? Pastor Shane piggy backs off of last weeks message instructing on different types of earthly relationships by emphasizing the importance of prayer in our daily lives. Intimate prayer and yielding to the Lord are essential to growth in the Christian life but can often times be put on the back burner. Christian's should find hope in walking closely with the Lord.
Paul tells the Colossians what the Christian life looks like in a marriage relationship, a parent-child relationship, a master-servant relationship, and a Christian-non-Christian relationship. This passage highlights the importance of living our relationships in a way that brings honor and glory to the Lord.

July 28, 2024 THE VITALITY OF CHRIST "Faith" Darrell Feemsterr
In Christ Faith Is Expressed Through Love.
This morning we begin our annual theme! The focus for 2024 will be the power of our hope in Christ Jesus! Life outside of Christ is hopeless! Life in Christ, as we walk by faith and not by sight, is filled with hope and love! In light of this truth we will begin this year… Read more
He delivered himself to a process by which he would become embryo, infant, toddler, child, adolescent, and adult.Sunday • 12/24/2023 •Christmas Eve, Year Two This morning's Scriptures are: Psalm 45; Psalm 46; Baruch 4:36–5:9; Galatians 3:23–4:7; Matthew 1:18–25 This morning's Canticles are: following the OT reading, Canticle 10 (“The Second Song of Isaiah,” Isaiah 55:6–11; BCP, p. 86); following the Epistle reading, Canticle 18 (“A Song to the Lamb,” Revelation 4:11; 5:9–10, 13, BCP, p. 93)
Our confession has power because it is rooted in the word of God.As believers our ultimate confession of Faith is found in Romans 10:8-10 Romans 10:8-10: 8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. The word confession means saying two things at the same time to mean the same thing.Meaning, your heart and your mouth must be saying the same thing, passing across the same message. So, don`t pray about something in your bedroom and confess something else when You are being asked about the situation. Whatever you confess when you are only, you should also say that same thing when being around other people. As you say it in private, you have to say it in the public Faith is highly depending on our speaking.Consistence of speaking in Faith is important. It should be always on your lips.Faith is not the denier with your lips of the present situation.Never express yourself in a way that people are pitying youThe moment that happened you should know that you haven't express Faith. If you believe, it will show in your words. It is very easy for you to say something without believing it and it is also very difficult for you to believe something without saying it. Math 12:34: Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speakth. Ensure of saying and believing the right stuffs. Heb 10:23: 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) In Heb 10:23, we see that we have been instructed to hold fast the profession of our Faith. The word “profession”means confession. This verse is referring to the confession of our Faith.Hold fast shows that it can slip, it is not the faith that would slip but you. For it is possible for the believer to let go.It is possible for a believer to stop confession. We are called to hold and not let go. Don't get tired or wavering of confessing what God has promise to you.The word of God is always truth irrespective of your circumstance because of the integrity of the Word of God. The integrity of the Word of God is highly dependent on the character of God himself. His un-changeableness is why His Word will never change. We depend on the never changing ability, never changing strength, never changing power of the Word of God. Our Faith, which is Christ Faith, is that which we use to confess, as stated in Heb.12:2. Heb 12:2: 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/assumpta-widak/message

A key Greek phrase, πίστις Χριστοῦ (with variations), has been hotly debated as to its meaning and translation: “Christ's faith(fulness)”? “Faith in Christ?” Maybe, however, the sense is closer to: “the Christ faith.” Dr. Kevin Grasso (Hebrew University of Jerusalem) is co-founder and CEO of Biblingo, which exists “to advance God's Word in the world by making the biblical languages more accessible and easier to learn through technology.” He is currently working on a revision of his dissertation on verbs of judgment in Biblical Hebrew as well as linguistic introductions to both Biblical Hebrew and Biblical Greek. Galatians 3:22 in Greek reads: ἀλλὰ συνέκλεισεν ἡ γραφὴ τὰ πάντα ὑπὸ ἁμαρτίαν, ἵνα ἡ ἐπαγγελία ἐκ πίστεως Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ δοθῇ τοῖς πιστεύουσιν. We can translate this as 'But the Scriptures shut up everything under sin, so that the promise from πίστεως Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ might be given to those who are faithful.' The only phrase left untranslated in this sentence has led to a tremendous amount of scholarly sparring, which I myself have taken part in. It is the phrase ἐκ πίστεως Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ, and the debate is called "the Pistis Christou debate". It centers around how to understand the relationship between the words 'pistis,' usually translated 'faith' or 'faithfulness,' and 'Jesus Christ.' Most translations translate this as 'faith in Jesus Christ.' This is called the objective genitive position. A significant portion of the scholarly world thinks it should be translated 'faithfulness of Jesus Christ.' This is called the subjective genitive position. Here, Dr. Kevin Grasso argues for a third view, translating the phrase as 'the Jesus-Christ-faith,' where it is the faith or message about Jesus the Christ that is being referred to. This is a bonus episode for our series on Key Terms in Pauline Theology. In this episode, Kevin dives into Galatians 3:22 to show how the Greek can help us better understand how these terms relate, and ultimately better understand the text. Salvation comes through righteousness to those who believe in Christ—Faith comes by hearing the gospel taught by legal administrators sent of God. The post Romans 10 appeared first on Sacred Text Daily.
with Pastor William Shifflett - https://williams-good-word.org/ Variety in faith “Faith gets a man out of self and into Christ” Faith has dimensions. 1. Degrees of faith The Bible describes faith as: Greater and lesser. Little faith. Great faith. Weak faith and strong faith. Growing faith. Sincere faith. Sound faith. Full of faith. The full assurance of faith. All faith. Shipwrecked faith. “The object of faith does not change - Christ.” The object of faith does not change but should the degrees of faith change in Christians? Romans 12:3 For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. Romans 14:1 As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions. Romans 14:21 It is good not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything that causes your brother to stumble. The faith that you have, keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the one who has no reason to pass judgment on himself for what he approves. But whoever has doubts is condemned if he eats, because the eating is not from faith. For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin. Does our Christian life affect other Christian lives? “God does not produce carbon-copy Christians.” “Faith is always dependent upon the living Christ” 2. Kinds of faith Faith based on works Matthew 7:22-23 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?' And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.' Faith without love 1 Corinthians 13:22 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. Does love come out of our faith, or faith come out of our love? True faith, Saving faith, Trusting faith is a gift of the grace of God. Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Ephesians 6:23 Peace be to the brothers, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. It would be a great mistake to say that God believes for us, would it not? “When we find ourselves saying; “Lord I believe; help my unbelief”, then we have reached another landmark in the outworking of God's plan of salvation. (Mark 9:24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!”) Martin Luther Next week: True Repentance. What the Christian world needs today is a good publication. I found that the one, like two centuries ago, entitled Sound Words, would fit into today's world. Times changes but people stay the same. My plan is to republish this magazine, but I am not sure I will get through all 98 volumes. I will read through all the articles and do the ones that seem to fit our times. Let us start out with the original introduction. ‘An Outline of Sound Words' — Introduction In his second epistle to Timothy, the apostle Paul enjoined his beloved child to “have an outline of sound words,” and to “keep by the Holy Spirit which dwells in us, the good deposit entrusted.” This injunction, in the holy Scriptures, comes to us that we might know how to hold fast the truth of God in these last days, when it is being given up on every hand, and when its heavenly power over the hearts of God's dear saints is being lost, with consequent departure from the path of God's will. We do well to realise that the truth cannot be maintained unless the doctrine encompassed in the outline of sound words is held intelligently and tenaciously, or without the spiritual condition, consonant with the doctrine, produced in the heart by the Holy Spirit. With the true knowledge of the doctrine, and with hearts answering to it by the working of the Spirit, there will be the manifestation of the truth in the lives of God's dear saints, where indeed, it is to be held according to the mind of God. If the Lord will, we hope to send out this little magazine occasionally; desiring and praying that the Head of the body, the assembly, our Lord Jesus Christ, will furnish it with ministry that will help His beloved saints in the apprehension of the precious truth of God, and encourage their exercises towards its manifestation in their lives. William C. Reid. (Editor) Quotations of Scripture are from the Authorised Version, or from the New Translation of J. N. Darby.
Intro: So, how did you do on your homework from last Sunday? How many even remembered I gave you homework last Sunday? This exercise is so important for Christ followers who are serious about discipleship and growing in the maturity of Christ. Without a biblical worldview, we are more likely to make poor and sinful decisions in our lives that can have hard consequences. Just because your come to church in Sunday doesn't necessarily mean you have developed a biblical worldview. Just because you may teach Sunday School or a Bible study doesn't necessarily mean you have a biblical worldview. Please let me read to you some very disturbing statistics published from the Family Research Council: In these 3 verse, Paul gives us a snapshot of true Christianity so we can better discern false teaching. Let's unpack these principles: Who or What is the Object of Our Faith? Biblical faith is much different than how we define faith today Biblical faith affects out heart, mind, and will e.g. our entire person Biblical faith must be centered in the Person and Word of the Lord Jesus Christ Biblical faith demands discipleship, sacrifice, and submission to the will of God in Christ Faith in public opinion or movements that deny the Person and Work of Jesus Christ may sound good, but are false and five people a false sense of security and builds up personal ego Listen to this worldview about God that is widely held in America today Read the tenants of moralistic therapeutic deism These sound nice to us, but what is seriously wrong with them? The Person and Work of Jesus Christ isn't even considered The biggest problem humanity faces, sin, is not mentioned This is a very bad teaching, and worldview True Faith Always Shows Itself in Action Biblical faith is not a selfish faith True faith always shows itself in action True faith loves others and actively serves others The faith of non-biblical worldviews is a selfish, ego boosting, faith e.g. everything is all about me or look at what I did! After all, I am a good person so God must accept me If I am good enough, I will go to heaven God doesn't send people to hell... Even atheist exercise faith, but the object of their faith is false and deceiving Remember, any belief system that denies the core doctrines of the Bible are false teachings Any worldview that contradicts the teachings of the Bible are false! Faith and Love Spring From the Hope Stored Up For Us in Heaven Heaven and hell are real! The Person and Work of Jesus Christ opened up for Christ followers the way to be right with God the Father and an incredible inheritance in heaven which has been prepared and being protected for us come the day the Lord calls us home or returns to Earth as the King of kings and Lord of lords! All Christ followers can and should draw their life, love, significance, and security from being in Christ This is done when we yield to the Holy Spirit, the Word of God, and let the Bible formulate in us a biblical worldview Our hope is purely based upon the assurances and promises of God as revealed in the Scriptures Our hope gives us the ability to live by faith and love one another as God commands in His Word Our faith and love that springs from our hope in heaven keeps our eyes on Christ who is the author and finisher of our faith Our faith and love that springs for our hope in heaven helps us to face the challenges of this life and face them in a way that brings God the glory and honor This is all in the "Good News" Gospel The message of the Bible is true The problem of sin is bad news God's solution for our sin problem is Great News! Do we personally know the Lord Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior? Will we permit Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the Word to develop in us a Biblical Worldview? Closing:

Don't let your emotions dictate your life. Jesus died on the cross to give you all of God's goodness every day. God's will is for you to live in victory, so we can claim everything we lack from God when we are in need.
The debate as to whether the phrase πίστiς Χριστοῦ should be translated as "faith in Christ" (objective genitive) or the faithfulness of the Christ (subjective genitive) seems interminable. In an important new journal article, Kevin Grasso claims to have entirely disproven the viability of the objective genitive as traditionally understood. Meanwhile, he claims that a third-way solution ("Christ-faith" is better evidenced grammatically, while it also makes good theological sense of aspects of the subjective interpretation. The post Kevin Grasso – Christ-Faith in Paul's Letters first appeared on OnScript.
Our sins are forgiven through the Finished Work of Jesus Christ on the Cross. We will not be judged by our mistakes; rather, we will be judged by the Good Works we create, which are rooted in Jesus Christ. We can't let fear of making mistakes rule over us. We can walk confidently in the Sabbath that Jesus died to give us because we know that our lives are pleasing to God.
