Scott Wilson is a Denver-based conservation photographer and photo advocate for America's wild mustangs. Originally from Glasgow, Scotland, he spent over twenty years as a landscape photographer and corporate communications executive before a stage 4 colon cancer diagnosis changed the course of his life. Sunlight restrictions during chemotherapy pushed him to photograph wildlife from the shade of his car, and that habit led him to Colorado's Sand Wash Basin, where an encounter with a wild pinto stallion named Picasso set him on an entirely new path. What began as an artistic pursuit became an advocacy mission once Wilson witnessed the toll of a federal roundup on the herd he'd come to know. He is an independent conservation photographer and contributor to the We Animals photojournalism agency and Skydog Sanctuary. His black and white portrait "Anger Management" won Open Photographer of the Year at the 2022 Sony World Photography Awards, and his work has appeared in the BBC, the Daily Telegraph, and international galleries. In this conversation, Scott talks about the moment his lens turned from landscapes to advocacy, what he's learned photographing wild horses in their final free spaces, and why he believes the fight for their survival is really a fight for freedom itself.Notable Links:Scott Wilson WebsiteScott Wilson InstagramImage: AdonisImage: PicassoImage: Anger ManagementImage: Wild UnfreeSkydog Ranch and SanctuaryPhoto Advocacy*******MUENCH WORKSHOPS GIVEAWAY** Win a free workshop with me to Bosque del Apache, New Mexico in January, 2027. What happens when a government decides that one of the greatest threats to its future isn't an armed force — but a cultural institution? On July 4th, America's 250th birthday, the White House Domestic Policy Council released a 162-page report accusing the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History of "ideological capture." Twenty days later, the President signed a second executive order directing federal agencies to force the museum to change how it tells the country's story. Host Bill Cleveland lays out the specifics: the named exhibits, the named staff, the quiet stall in confirming new members of the Smithsonian's governing board — and asks what it means when a nation stops trusting itself to hold a complicated history.Drawing on decades of work with artists in Serbia, Cambodia, Northern Ireland, and Watts, California, and revisiting labor leader Ken Grossinger's conversation about Bryan Stevenson's Legacy Sites in Montgomery Alabama, Cleveland makes the case that culture is never a side issue. Authoritarian movements go after artists first, not for their political power, but because artists shape imagination itself. This episode is about why museums, memorials, and community art aren't warehouses of old objects, but living civic spaces where democracy is practiced, one story at a time.In this episode we explore:How an government report, an executive order, and a quiet stall in board appointments aren't three separate stories, they're one strategy for defining and controlling America's history moving through official channels. Why authoritarian movements attack culture first because stories shape what people believe is possible, before governments can control people, they go for the imagination.Democracy isn't only a system to defend; it's a creative practice — rehearsed in murals, story circles, museums, and neighborhood theater as much as in legislatures. If this show sparks your curiosity we invite you to visit this ART IS CHANGE Collection: Art In Action: Stories of Artists Making a Difference in These Tumultuous TimesNotable Mentions People• Lonnie G. Today on The Amber May Show, Amber breaks down a packed slate of stories raising serious questions about election integrity, government accountability, immigration enforcement, and the future of the country. The show begins in Arizona, where the Goldwater Institute is challenging signatures behind a union-funded ballot measure targeting the state's Empowerment Scholarship Account program. Amber also looks at the growing number of school closures across the country and the unusual trend of former school buildings being converted into senior housing. From there, Amber examines election controversies in New Jersey, Oregon, Michigan, and Connecticut. Reports involving noncitizens on voter rolls, disputed ActBlue donations, and ballot-fraud charges are fueling renewed calls for proof of citizenship, stronger voter ID laws, and an end to automatic voter registration through the DMV. Amber also covers House Republicans' effort to move the SAVE America Act through reconciliation, Speaker Mike Johnson's claim that key provisions could pass the Senate with 50 votes plus Vice President JD Vance, and the Senate rules that could still block parts of the bill. Other stories include billions in federal grant spending that cannot be traced to local communities, legislation targeting charities accused of funneling money to extremist groups, congressional stock-trading restrictions, massive DHS fines against illegal immigrants, and escalating attacks on Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea. Then Amber welcomes Jenny Story, COO of Patriot Mobile, for a timely discussion about activating churches, encouraging Christians to vote, and helping faith communities understand their role in civic life. This episode asks a direct question: What happens when churches stay silent while the culture, the courts, and the ballot box shape the future? The western Canadian province of Alberta is grappling with the divisive political issue of separation from the rest of Canada. Indigenous leaders in Alberta are opposed to the idea. And as Dan Karpenchuk reports, the national chief of the Assembly of First Nations recently weighed in on their side. Chief Cindy Woodhouse Nepinak made her position known during the three-day annual gathering in Ottawa of the Assembly of First Nations. She told delegates to the meeting that any movement by Alberta to separate from Canada is illegitimate without the consent of First Nations. Chief Nepinak says First Nations have always stood for Canadian unity and they want Prime Minister Mark Carney to know that. “We have made it clear that any proposal to separate from any province or territory from Canada is fundamentally illegitimate and unconstitutional without the explicit prior informed and collective consent of First Nations. We need to make him call it what it is because Albertans need to know that if they vote to separate from Canada, that they're not taking the land with them.” The chiefs from across the country expressed their overwhelming opposition to Alberta separation. Nepinak says First Nations chiefs want the federal and provincial governments to protect treaty rights from the threats posed by Alberta separatism. They passed a resolution asking Ottawa to ensure constitutional procedures that impact First Nations only go ahead with consultation and the consent of affected groups. They say that the Alberta government has failed to recognize or engage First Nations on the issue, adding that treaty rights would be fundamentally affected by such constitutional change. Alberta Premier Danelle Smith says she supports a stronger Alberta staying in Canada. Recently, an Alberta court quashed the approval of a pro-separation petition. The judge found that the province's chief electoral officer did not properly fulfill his duty to consult with First Nations – and also failed to consider a previous court ruling that said separation would violate treaty rights. The National Congress of American Indians (NCAI) is criticizing a new White House report that it says misrepresents Native history and ignores the sovereign status of Tribal Nations. The report, “Saving America’s Story“, was released earlier this month and calls for changes in how American history is presented in museums and public institutions. In a statement, NCAI Executive Director Larry Wright Jr. says the nation’s history cannot be told truthfully without acknowledging Tribal Nations, the realities of land dispossession, forced removal, federal Indian boarding schools, and other documented chapters of U.S. history. “Tribal Nations are sovereign governments with a unique political relationship with the United States. This distinction is foundational to the U.S. government's relationship with Tribal Nations and should never be minimized or mischaracterized. America’s story begins with Tribal Nations. It cannot be told truthfully without us.” NCAI is urging federal leaders, museums, educators, and the public to reject efforts to revise the documented history of Tribal Nations and instead support accurate historical scholarship and implementation of federal Indian boarding school recommendations. (Courtesy Bureau of Indian Education) New federal data shows graduation rates are rising at Bureau of Indian Education schools. Some tribal schools credit career training, virtual classes and more accurate student records. But Crow Creek Sioux Chairman Peter Lengkeek says severely underfunded schools still depend on the government to fulfill its treaty promises. Swinomish Tribal Chairman Steve Edwards and La Conner Mayor Marna Hanneman mark the day with an inaugural slurp. (Courtesy Swinomish Senate / Facebook) The Swinomish and Squaxin Island tribes in Washington state sued the federal government last week over changes to the Endangered Species Act. Swinomish Chairman Steve Edwards called the rule “anti-science”, saying weakened habitat protections threaten Chinook salmon and treaty fishing rights. The education crisis has reached a breaking point, and the consequences extend far beyond the classroom. America's education system cannot continue down this path without threatening the nation's ability to think critically, innovate, and preserve a free society. This episode explores how America is losing the ability to think, and it's more than a discussion about schools. Artificial intelligence did not create America's education crisis. It exposed it. This episode of The P.A.S. Report Podcast examines how decades of declining academic standards, grade inflation, technology dependence, and progressive ideological influence have weakened critical thinking, civic literacy, and intellectual independence. From public schools and higher education to artificial intelligence and civic education, this episode explains why education reform has become one of the defining issues shaping America's future. It also presents a practical blueprint to rebuild American education, restore high expectations, and prepare future generations to preserve liberty, innovation, and the American Dream. What You'll Learn In This Episode: Why the Brown University AI experiment exposed a much deeper problem than academic cheating. How declining literacy and a lack of critical thinking threaten constitutional government, economic prosperity, and national security. How America's education crisis fuels government dependency, political polarization, and greater wealth inequality. Why the Republican establishment failed to make education the defining issue of a generation while the left transformed the education system. A practical blueprint to rebuild American education through higher standards, life skills, civic education, responsible AI instruction, and intellectual discipline. If this episode resonates, follow the show and share it with a parent, teacher, school board member, or anyone who believes America's future depends on rebuilding the American mind. Topics Covered: Education Crisis, American Education, Public Education, Education Reform, Critical Thinking, Artificial Intelligence, Public Schools, Civic Education, Constitutional Republic, Financial Literacy, Academic Standards, American Decline

Last spring, President Donald Trump issued the “Restoring Truth and Sanity to American History” executive order, taking aim at federal parks, monuments, museums, and sites that have cast the United States's “founding principles and historical milestones in a negative light.” On the Fourth of July this year, the White House published its 162-page “Saving America's Story,” attacking the Smithsonian Institution directly for “anti-white activism,” “illegal alien activism,” “transgender activism,” and more broadly for adopting “an ideological framework that no longer treats the American story as a shared national inheritance to be taught or celebrated, but as a political instrument to divide, dispirit, and discourage our citizens.”“We're in this moment where we are fighting over how America tells its past,” journalist Rebecca Nagle tells The Intercept Briefing. “It can be scary in a moment when it feels like the stakes are really high to really interrogate the myths that we all carry, that we all hold about who our country is and where it started because it's really tempting to want to think, 'OK, if we just wind the clock back 10 years, if we just go back a few election cycles, we'll be back to a democracy that's strong, that's stable, that's solid, and we'll all be fine.' It's much more scary to say, ‘Oh, actually, if we want to talk about where authoritarianism comes from in the United States, it's actually at the foundation.'”As the United States celebrates its 250th birthday this year, the Trump administration has been ramping up its efforts to erase not just the dark parts of U.S. history but also the contributions of basically anyone who isn't a white, Christian man. That project has included taking concrete steps to remove all traces of the history of people who don't fit that description, Black people, immigrants, civil rights advocates, women and gay and trans people — including the first people to live on this land: Native Americans. This week on the podcast, Nagle speaks to host Akela Lacy about her new podcast series “First America,” which examines how Native people have been largely written out of the American story, and how that story informs the current political crisis in the U.S.“One of the big claims that the series makes is that the foundation is in itself is a myth. Because at the same time that our founders were building a democracy, they were also building an empire. The way that you govern an empire, the way that you govern other people by force, is not democratic,” says Nagle, a citizen of Cherokee Nation. “This identity crisis we're having around authoritarianism and democracy, and how could authoritarianism be sneaking into our democracy — what we argue is that it's actually always been there.”“A lot of what is happening now — it's not new, it's not un-American, it's not unprecedented. Sometimes it's not even unconstitutional! It's actually just taking these parts of our government that for a long time most Americans didn't know was there or didn't really think about, and Trump is just pulling it into the center,” says Nagle. On the Flyover Conservatives Show, David and Stacy Whited sit down with journalist, author, educator, and Liberty Sentinel founder Alex Newman to discuss the bombshell White House report exposing what is happening inside the Smithsonian. The report, titled “Saving America's Story,” says the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History has moved away from telling America's story with honesty, seriousness, and pride, and instead accuses it of promoting political activism, division, and anti-American narratives — all while receiving over $1 billion in federal taxpayer funding each year. Alex Newman breaks down why this matters for parents, children, education, history, faith, and the future of America. He also explains how public education, museums, media, and political messaging are being used to shape the minds of the next generation — and why families must become vigilant “sentinels” in this moment. From the Smithsonian controversy to the roots of government education, the spiritual battle for children, and the coordinated media machine protecting powerful institutions, this conversation is a warning every parent, grandparent, and concerned American needs to hear.TO WATCH ALL FLYOVER CONTENT: www.theflyoverapp.com Follow and Subscribe on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TheFlyoverConservativesShow To Schedule A Time To Talk To Dr. Dr. Kirk Elliott Go To ▶ https://flyovergold.comOr Call 720-605-3900 ► Receive your FREE 52 Date Night Ideas Playbook to make date night more exciting, go to www.prosperousmarriage.comAlex NewmanWEBSITE: https://libertysentinel.org WEBSITE: https://www.freedomproject.com/ BOOK: https://a.co/d/9a6Sq3CAlex Newman is an award-winning international journalist, educator, author, and consultant. Today on Uncommon Sense, we're discussing what may be the most consequential political moment of Donald Trump's career. With Trump's approval ratings slipping, the Iran conflict escalating, renewed questions surrounding the Epstein files, and the assassination of Charlie Kirk continuing to reverberate through the conservative movement, many Americans are asking whether these events are isolated, or part of a much larger story. In this episode, I examine the connections I believe may exist between these developments, including my view that the Epstein files may have been used as leverage against powerful political figures and that foreign interests have exerted significant influence over American policy in the Middle East. We'll discuss:Trump's declining support among his baseThe growing controversy surrounding U.S. involvement with IranThe unanswered questions surrounding the Epstein filesThe political impact of Charlie Kirk's assassination and its aftermathWhy I believe these stories intersect in ways the mainstream media refuses to exploreMy goal is not to tell you what to think, but to encourage you to question narratives, follow incentives, and examine who benefits from the decisions being made in Washington.--https://www.bible.com/

Alpha Warrior sits down with 84-year-old (almost 85) Steve Stern, a man who has been working twelve days a week in a seven-day week for so long he treats it as basic math. The conversation starts in Brooklyn, lands in Miami at age 12 with no palm trees and no hotel, and ends with a man on a first-name basis with the President of the United States. Steve walks through the now-legendary "four corner stores" tale: how a kid knocking on doors in the Empire State Building ended up flying to Korea, inventing a banded-bottom shirt empire, and selling JC Penney $14 million a year for 44 years. His motto came from Cuban refugees: work hard and be honest. The rest is history. The second half pivots to election integrity. Steve explains Precinct Strategy, the new Precinct Project USA, the weekly Election Security Call he started after a personal conversation with President Trump, and why the Republican Party still has 400,000 committee slots with only 200,000 people filling them. He talks Tina Peters, Orange County, and the Trump birthday letter that gave an 80-year-old his second wind. Find him at Stern American on Rumble.
