Question de croire
La dépendance est-elle un problème spirituel?

Question de croire

On va à l'épicerie. » Pourquoi continue-t-on? Pourquoi qu'on tolère ça? Malraux l'a dit, quoi. Well well… look who decided to show up. The Mets finally remembered how to hit a baseball out in San Francisco, taking 3 of 4 and giving us just enough hope to start believing again — which, if you've watched this team long enough, is always a dangerous game. Farace tries not to overreact (he will), Rodriguez will pretend he saw this coming all along, and Producer Joe will be behind the wall nodding like he's the smartest one in the room without saying a word.Of course, because this is the Mets, the good vibes last about five minutes before getting punched in the face — Juan Soto is now out 2–3 weeks with a calf strain. Timing? Impeccable. We'll get into what this means for the lineup, who needs to step up (spoiler: everyone), and how long it takes before Rodriguez starts blaming the training staff and Farace starts blaming the universe.Meanwhile, the organization is out here actually doing something right for once — adjusting start times due to freezing temps and even giving away tickets. Mets caring about fans? Somebody check if Steve Cohen got hacked. Farace will take credit for it somehow, Rodriguez will still find something wrong with it, and Joe will just shrug behind the wall like he approved it personally. We also dive into Carlos Beltran getting his number retired on 9/19 against the Phillies — and yes, we'll remind everyone how great he was… right before someone inevitably brings up that one moment and ruins the vibe. You already know it's coming. Rodriguez probably has it bookmarked.Rodriguez is already fired up about the starting pitching needing to be better — which is rich considering he panics after two bad innings like the season's over. We'll talk Sean Manaea's potential to stabilize this staff and turn the bullpen into a real weapon… assuming we don't burn it out by May like we usually do.And then we get into the stuff that drives you insane — mental mistakes. The kind that Little Leaguers get yelled at for. The kind that make Farace lose his mind mid-show while Joe quietly laughs and Rodriguez tries to explain it away like he's on the coaching staff. We'll also ask the uncomfortable question — is Carlos Mendoza already on the hot seat? Too early? Probably. But that's never stopped this show before. If the Mets sneeze wrong, Rodriguez's already got a replacement lined up and Farace's halfway through a rant.At the plate, the approach is… confusing. Patience is great… until you're watching strike three go by like you're admiring the view. There's a balance here, and the Mets are still trying to find it. And yes, Rodriguez will say “I like the approach” while also complaining about it in the same breath. And speaking of reality… here it comes fast. Two more with the Diamondbacks, then three with the Athletics — including a reunion with Jeff McNeil, which is either going to be emotional or just awkward depending on how he plays. Then it's back out West again, this time to Los Angeles to face the back-to-back champion Dodgers. So yeah… that “we're back” feeling? Let's see how long that lasts. So the Mets are trending up… kinda. But there's still a lot to clean up before we start planning anything beyond April optimism. We'll break it all down the only way we know how — loud, honest, sarcastic, and with just enough chaos to keep it real. #PiitB #Mets

Carol White's road to owning Impeccable Closets wound through a corporate PR career at GTE/Verizon, a stint as a stay-at-home mom, and seven years managing sales and training at a big box organization retailer — where she discovered a passion for closet design. A chance conversation at a BNI meeting eventually led to a business partnership, and Impeccable Closets was born two weeks before COVID. She bought out her partner in 2022, opened her first showroom in Huntersville about a year ago, and is now celebrating six years in business alongside her husband Brian. The company designs and installs custom closets, pantries, laundry rooms, home offices, craft rooms, bars, and just about anything else you can dream up in a home — including, most recently, a two-story primary closet with 16-foot ceilings and a floor-to-ceiling sneaker gallery for a Charlotte-area pro athlete housing 265 pairs of shoes. Carol's approach is rooted in solution selling: she gets into the details of how clients actually use their spaces before a single shelf goes up. In 2026, the focus is on growth — expanding the showroom, adding designers and installers, and building systems that allow the business to scale beyond Carol being at the center of it all.Impeccable Closets330 Seagle St Suite 22Huntersville, NC 28078(704) 742-6046---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Lake Norman's #1 Podcast & Email NewsletterThe Best of LKNhttps://thebestoflkn.com/Hosted by:Jeff Hammwww.lknreal.comThanks to Safe harbor Peninsula Yacht Club for their support!Support the show

"It's about improving who you are, not just by thinking, but by actual work."  Strength isn't only about how you look or how much you lift—it's about what you can actually do. Especially when conditions are unpredictable. Real capability shows up when the environment isn't controlled, when the ground is uneven, when fatigue sets in, and when stress demands calm instead of panic. Physical preparedness becomes a moral responsibility when it determines whether you can help yourself or others.  This episode explores the difference between appearance-based fitness and real-world function. The conversation moves through natural movement, adaptability, and the idea that instinct alone isn't enough—it must be refined into skill. Mental composure under pressure is treated as trainable, not theoretical, with stress used deliberately as a tool to build patience, commitment, and clarity.  Erwan Le Corre is the founder of MovNat and Breath Hold Work. He specializes in natural movement, breath control, and training composure under physical and psychological stress, helping people develop real-world capability through structured methods rooted in human instinct.  Learn more & connect:   https://www.movnat.com  https://www.breathholdwork.com  You're invited to come to a Sovereign Circle meeting to experience it for yourself. Something is wrong, and I don't know what it is." Her labs told part of the story: CRP at 87, neutrophils through the roof, lymphocytes bottomed out. But there was no fever. No illness. No obvious source. Until she dropped one sentence that changed everything. This is the first episode of my new Clinical Thinking series where I walk you through real patient cases, step by step, so you can see how I actually think through complex presentations. In this episode, you'll learn why the obvious answer is rarely the right one, how the 30/30/30 rule can keep you from tunnel vision, and what a cracked tooth taught me about dental history and emotional symptoms. It requires a nonrefundable $15,000 processing fee plus a “contribution” or “gift” of at least $1 million per individual (or $2 million via an employer sponsor), with additional amounts for dependents. The funds go to entities like the U.S. Department of Commerce, and applicants must prove a lawful source of money, similar to the EB-5 investor visa.  The process involves filing a new Form I-140G, followed by consular processing abroad—no in-country adjustment of status is allowed—and approvals can happen in weeks, though backlogs from per-country caps (especially for Indian or Chinese nationals) may still cause delays for the actual green card. This program is separate from the H-1B visa system, which remains a temporary work visa for skilled professionals with issues like annual caps (85,000 visas, including 20,000 for advanced degree holders), a random lottery selection process, and criticisms of abuse (e.g., companies using it to displace U.S. workers or suppress wages via outsourcing firms). In fact, alongside the Gold Card, the Trump administration introduced a separate $100,000 one-time entry fee for H-1B applicants to deter such abuses and ensure only “the best and brightest” use it. https://twitter.com/TheRubberDuck79/status/1998791717752062345?s=20  Autopen. https://twitter.com/KobeissiLetter/status/1998407015756964343?s=20   to decide if it gets a floor vote. I hope they do the right thing. The Affordability Crisis Is Not a ‘Hoax.' It Is an Existential Threat to the American Dream.  Recently, President Trump has been quoted as referring to the affordability crisis as a “Democrat scam,” “hoax,” and “con job.” Although I think Trump was likely trying to remind Americans that policies enacted when Democrats had total control of the federal government under the first two years of the Biden administration accelerated and exacerbated the affordability problem, it is dangerous for the president to use that type of language. Already, mainstream media reprobates are twisting Trump's words, leading people to believe that he is saying the affordability crisis does not exist.  In proper context, Trump is not denying that middle- and lower-class Americans are struggling to make ends meet; rather, he is trying to assign blame and hang the affordability crisis on the Democrats. But even doing that is politically unwise.  The American people are not nearly as concerned with pointing fault as they are with seeking immediately viable solutions to the untenable reality they face. For many Americans, the affordability crisis is so severe that they think the American dream is no longer within reach. In fact, only 22 percent of young Americans think they will be better off than their parents. The Code Conduct is a document agreed upon by social media companies for removing hate. The improved upon “Code of Conduct Plus” continues to be an important tool under the DSA: “On 20 January 2025, the revised Code of conduct on countering illegal hate speech online + (the ‘Code of conduct+') was integrated into the regulatory framework of the Digital Services Act (DSA), following a positive assessment from the Commission and the European Board for Digital Services. The Code of conduct+, which builds on the Code of Conduct adopted in 2016, strengthens the way online platforms deal with content deemed illegal hate speech according to EU law and Member States' laws. It facilitates compliance with and the effective enforcement of the DSA in this specific area.” This new Conduct Code+ was established as a “DSA Code of conduct”. Trump has done amazing things in a short period of time against unprecedented institutional resistance. We are winning and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel for the restoration of our Constitutional republic. Nevertheless, there is much to be done. President Trump and the true conservatives in Congress need our enthusiastic, vocal support. We must keep the pressure on the eGOP, the Democrats and the lying media. This is a tough battle, but we will win.” THAT my friends is a message of victory. It too becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy as it inspires the voting base yet does not ignore the work yet to be done. In all fairness, the Democrats have been doing Redistricting for years, and continue to do so. Unfortunately, Indiana Senate “Leader” Rod Bray enjoys being the only person in the United States of America who is against Republicans picking up extra seats, in Indiana's case, two of them. He is putting every ounce of his limited strength into asking his soon to be very vulnerable friends to vote with him. By doing so, he is putting the Majority in the House of Representatives, Washington, D.C., at risk and, at the same time, putting anybody in Indiana who votes against this Redistricting, likewise, at risk. The people of Indiana don't want the Party of Sleepy Joe Biden, Kamala, Ilhan Omar, or the rest to succeed in Washington. Bray doesn't care. He's either a bad guy, or a very stupid one! In any event, he and a couple of his friends will partner with the Radical Left Democrats. They found some Republican “SUCKERS,” and they couldn't be happier that they did! Guys like Failed Senate Candidate Mitch Daniels, who I opposed in his Race against Senator Jim Banks, and Cam Savage, whoever that is, are fighting against the Republican Party, all the way. Bray and his friends are the favorite Republicans of Hakeem Jeffries, Crazy Nancy Pelosi, and Cryin' Chuck Schumer. Anybody that votes against Redistricting, and the SUCCESS of the Republican Party in D.C., will be, I am sure, met with a MAGA Primary in the Spring. If Republicans will not do what is necessary to save our Country, they will eventually lose everything to the Democrats. Rod Bray and his friends won't be in Politics for long, and I will do everything within my power to make sure that they will not hurt the Republican Party, and our Country, again. One of my favorite States, Indiana, will be the only State in the Union to turn the Republican Party down! Master Messenger: Trump Goes Full MAGA at Pennsylvania Rally, Hands GOP the 2026 Talking Points The master messenger is at it again, this time handing the GOP the 2026 midterm talking points directly. During a rally Tuesday evening in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania, President Trump reminded both Republicans and Democrats of just how savvy a messenger he can be when energizing his base. He crushed former President Joe Biden and his administration for overseeing the runaway inflation we are still battling today. He discussed his efforts to bring higher wage jobs to American workers, not illegal aliens. He dismantled Obamacare, highlighting high costs and the trillions in taxpayer dollars given to insurance companies instead of the American people. President Trump went full MAGA. The  message was clear: Republicans, take this message and run with it during the 2026 midterm election cycle. President Trump tore apart Obamacare. He is tired of insurance companies lining their pockets with Obamacare subsidies, and stated once again that he wants that money sent directly to the American people. Imagine being able to use your own money to purchase health insurance instead of those dollars going straight to the insurance companies? For Republicans in 2026, this is a smart policy that could excite the base in an election cycle where President Trump is not on the ballot. Healthcare across America, in many cases, is unaffordable and frustrating. This is certainly an area where the GOP can make up ground with sound policy ideas. President Trump has essentially closed our southern border by the sheer power he wields through the executive branch. The administration has now moved to tackle illegal immigration within our borders, in regards to both deportations and American jobs taken by illegal aliens.  Since President Trump took office, 100 percent of all net job creation has gone to American citizens. That is an amazing statistic that every GOP House and Senate member should be touting on the campaign trail. Not for nothing, but President Trump is also clearly tired of immigrants coming to America who do not care to fully assimilate or share our values. President Trump also announced a permanent pause on third-world migration, “including from hellholes like Afghanistan, Haiti, Somalia, and many other countries.” This is a very smart and, frankly, important policy. During the recent off-year election cycle, many Americans learned for the first time how many third-world immigrants have infiltrated major American cities. This is a winning message and one the GOP should carry into 2026. Finally, the deadly drugs have got to stop flowing into this country. President Trump has taken lethal action that is sure to have every drug boat planning to bring drugs to America second-guessing that decision. For some Republicans who support Trump’s policy but have struggled to properly communicate the importance to their constituents, the president simplified the issue for the entire party. Source: redstate.com https://twitter.com/TheStormRedux/status/1998449163403419722?s=20  ALL THE INFORMATION.” LFG  One thing I know is that the American public (outside of X) needs to understand how rigged and fake our elections are before we have another election in this country. MDJ Script/ Top Stories for November 19th Publish Date:  November 19th Commercial: From the BG Ad Group Studio, Welcome to the Marietta Daily Journal Podcast.    Today is Wednesday, November 19th and Happy Birthday to Meg Ryan I’m Keith Ippolito and here are the stories Cobb is talking about, presented by Times Journal Lawmakers consider paring tax credits and exemptions to offset income tax cuts As Cobb school board approves new buses, Ragsdale pushes back on criticism Cobb’s new Renaissance Fair becomes instant hit with festival-goers All of this and more is coming up on the Marietta Daily Journal Podcast, and if you are looking for community news, we encourage you to listen and subscribe!  BREAK: Ingles 9 STORY 1: Lawmakers consider paring tax credits and exemptions to offset income tax cuts Georgia lawmakers are seriously talking about ditching the state income tax—$16 billion worth of revenue—and replacing it by slashing $30 billion in tax credits and exemptions. “It’s not if, it’s when,” said Sen. Blake Tillery, who’s leading the charge. He called it a move for “competitiveness.” Supporters like economist Arthur Laffer praised states like Tennessee for thriving without income taxes, calling it “really cool” not to file returns. But critics, like Sen. Nan Orrock, warned it could hit low-income families and retirees hardest, especially if sales taxes rise. The debate? Far from over. STORY 2: As Cobb school board approves new buses, Ragsdale pushes back on criticism Tensions ran high Thursday as Cobb Superintendent Chris Ragsdale defended the district’s transportation department amid ongoing criticism of bus safety and maintenance. “There are no unsafe buses on the roads. Period. Zero,” Ragsdale said, calling claims to the contrary “untrue and unacceptable.” The school board approved $4.97 million for 30 new buses, but public commenters weren’t buying the reassurances. Mechanics like Eric Carroll, a 14-year employee, pushed back hard. “We’re not liars,” he said, visibly emotional. “We need help.” Meanwhile, Ragsdale dismissed the concerns as fearmongering, sparking outrage from workers who say they’re overworked, understaffed, and unheard. The investigation? Still ongoing. STORY 3: Cobb’s new Renaissance Fair becomes instant hit with festival-goers  The 16th century came alive Saturday at Cobb’s first-ever Big Shanty Bazaar, and honestly? It was a hit. By the time the gates opened at The Big Shanty Art Station, over 100 people were already lined up, many decked out in Renaissance garb or fantasy costumes—dragons, wizards, you name it. “It’s way more than I expected,” said organizer Roxanne Thompson. “I was hoping for maybe a thousand all day, but this? Wow.” The festival had it all: axe throwing, pony rides, blacksmith demos, and an artisan market selling everything from D&D dice to handmade cloaks. The vibes? Impeccable. We have opportunities for sponsors to get great engagement on these shows. Call 770.799.6810 for more info.  We’ll be right back. Break: STRAND THEATRE STORY 4: Cobb NAACP holds annual awards gala The Cobb NAACP’s 46th annual Oscar Freeman Freedom Fund Awards Gala brought together community leaders, elected officials, and trailblazers Saturday night for an evening of celebration, reflection, and a little dancing. The event featured a reception, silent auction, dinner, and awards ceremony. Civil rights pioneer Deane Bonner, a cornerstone of the Cobb NAACP, was front and center—dancing, speaking, and inspiring. Honorees included Rev. Joe Evans, named Religious Leader of the Year, and countless others who’ve shaped the community. “It’s about honoring the past while building the future,” said organizer Jeriene Bonner-Willis. STORY 5: Cobb reallocates $2.96M for food distribution, South Cobb Public Health Center  Cobb commissioners just gave the green light to reallocate nearly $3 million in unspent federal COVID relief funds, aiming to boost food distribution programs and help fund the long-awaited South Cobb Public Health Center. Of the $2.96 million, $206,000 will go to local nonprofits like MUST Ministries and Sweetwater Mission, which have been struggling to meet surging demand for food assistance. “This will help families get through the holidays,” said Chair Lisa Cupid. The remaining $2.75 million, saved from a bridge project, will go toward the health center, a critical project for South Cobb residents that’s been years in the making. Break: STORY 6: “Stuff the Turkey” donation event collects 1,000 items for locals in need   The Goddard School of Vinings recently held its “Stuff the Turkey” drive, and wow, did the community show up. Located on Log Cabin Drive, the school collected over 1,000 items—canned goods, diapers, hygiene products, you name it. All donations went to 7 Bridges to Recovery, a local nonprofit helping women, kids, and those facing homelessness in Atlanta. “It’s incredible to see what we can do together,” a school representative said. Want to learn more about their efforts (or maybe help out next time)? Check out their website. Small acts, big impact—every bit counts. STORY 7: Fielding Lewis DAR Chapter builds and donates Chad’s Bracket Wagons  The Fielding Lewis Chapter of the DAR recently rolled up their sleeves for the D building nine bright red Chad’s Bracket wagons—specialized hospital wagons designed to make life a little easier (and safer) for kids in hospitals. This wasn’t just any project. Volunteers worked alongside Roger Leggett, the founder of Chad’s Bracket, whose mission began after a heartbreaking loss: his son Chad, an EMT, passed away at 24. Inspired by Chad’s compassion, Leggett created these wagons, which now bring comfort to kids nationwide. “These wagons may seem simple, but they’re life-changing,” said Chapter Regent Melissa Tanner. We’ll have closing comments after this. Break: INGLES 9 Signoff-   Thanks again for hanging out with us on today’s Marietta Daily Journal Podcast. I had such a lovely time sitting down with Liz, a psychotherapist and alum of the Mind. Body. Sleep. mentorship. Not only did Liz make it through insomnia herself, but she stayed active in the community to support others still on their way.Like so many of us, she tried everything:Impeccable sleep hygieneCBT-ISleep medsBut the more she tried, the more fear crept in.Not just a fear of not sleeping, but a fear of fear itself.Which is such a common part of this journey. This episode is filled with heart and insight. A few standout moments:      “Not only was I afraid of not sleeping, I was afraid of fear.”      “You don't have to heal everything to sleep again.”      “Even a little bit of self-compassion is powerful.”If your nervous system feels stuck in high gear, or you've lost trust with your body, Liz's story will help you feel so much less alone.Enjoy!

Impeccable by William Swan Plumer is a pastoral work written to encourage believers unsettled by rising theological error in post-Civil War America. Plumer defends the biblical truth that Christ, as the incarnate Son of God, was not only sinless but incapable of sinning. This doctrine affirms the absolute sufficiency of Christ's obedience and the unshakable certainty of our salvation. In a time when Christological confusion persists, Plumer's clarity remains deeply relevant for the Church today.
