Please subscribe to TFN: https://www.youtube.com/@TheFootyNetwork?sub_confirmation=1 Welcome to another transfer update from Forest Fan TV! As we approach the January transfer window, the rumour mill is already buzzing with news about potential moves away from Nottingham Forest. In today's video, we delve into the latest speculation surrounding two of Forest's key players whose contracts are set to expire at the end of this season. First up, we have Chris Wood, the club's top scorer, who has reportedly caught the eye of Italian giants AC Milan and Napoli. The transfer gossip suggests both clubs are monitoring Wood's situation closely as his contract winds down, potentially looking to secure his services at the end of the season or even in the upcoming transfer window. We'll be discussing how much truth there might be to these links and what it could mean for Forest if he departs. Next, we turn our attention to Ola Aina, whose stellar performances have not gone unnoticed, particularly by the reigning Premier League champions, Manchester City. There's talk that City are considering Aina as a long-term replacement for their aging right-back, Kyle Walker. We'll analyse the feasibility of this move, looking at Aina's form, his fit within Pep Guardiola's system, and whether Forest might be open to negotiations given his contract situation. What a day for Nottingham Forest fans! In an electrifying clash at Old Trafford, Forest secured a monumental 3-2 victory over Manchester United, marking their first win at this historic ground in 30 years! Join the Grumpy Old Reds team as we dissect this thrilling encounter, analysing the key moments, tactics, and standout performances that led to this incredible result. What does this victory signify for Forest moving forward, and how can the team build on this success in upcoming matches? Let's celebrate this historic win together! The game started badly for the home side when Nikola Milenkovic headed in a corner to give Forest an early lead. Rasmus Hojlund equalised for United with a poacher's goal, but defensive errors cost them dearly in the second half. Morgan Gibbs-White capitalized on a bizarre mistake by goalkeeper Andre Onana to restore Forest's lead, and then Chris Wood scored a looping header to extend it. Although Bruno Fernandes managed to pull one back with a fine strike, United couldn't find the equaliser, leaving them languishing in 13th place in the league table and Forest still high flying in 5th in the Premier League! City lose at home (again!) This is getting frustrating... Despite the great atmosphere, despite 6,000 home supporters cheering our team on, City fell at the most cruel of hurdles against a match-smart West Ham, who lapped up the expansive Ashton Gate pitch, their win orchestrated by a majestic performance from the midfield dynamo, Katrina Gorry. Gutted. Two huge matches in January, two relegation six pointers, absolutely nil points to show for it. Where do we go from here? D-M and Nat explore our options as we stare down the barrel of another stern WSL test: Aston Villa, at the Poundland Bescot Stadium in Walsall, this coming Saturday. D-M and Nat giddily skip through a 1-1 draw away at Liverpool, an excellent point that leaves us sitting pretty in 11th, one ahead of a hapless West Ham United. Amalie Thestrup's insouciant heeled goal - her fifth of the season - enabled City Women to take a share of the spoils in Birkenhead. This was a solid performance from the whole team, with Syme and Mustaki stepping in with great distinction, and Mari Ward showing promising menace off the bench. Bristol City Women slip to a 2-0 defeat to Manchester United in front of a record-breaking crowd at Ashton Gate stadium. Just over 14,000 people flocked to BS3 to watch a solid performance with plenty of stand-out defensive moments. While at least half the crowd were there to see ex-Vixen and now football legend Mary Earps, it was the shot-stopping of City keeper Liv Clark that caught the eye. City will take much heart from a game which saw us struggle to effectively link defensive, midfield and attacking play. Make no mistake, this was a battling effort, and will add fuel to our fire when we face Liverpool after the international break. COYR! Vixens ‘Til We Die! COYR! There's only a few things that are certain in life. Death, taxes, and Bristol City Women losing at home to Birmingham City Women. D-M and Nat spend the 50th Vixencast grousing about our 1-0 loss to the Blues at Ashton Gate Stadium - a defeat that sees us slip to second place in the Barclays Women's Championship, a point behind London City Lionesses.
