In this episode "The Publisher" Mr. Kelly Cole sits down with Kenisha Johnson to discuss her new best selling book Unscripted Dreams: Beyond the Blueprint “Sometimes, life doesn't just test your strength—it demands that you redefine it." In this compelling journey through moments of survival, betrayal, and profound growth, Liberty shares her story of transformation. From lessons learned at her great-grandmother's side to navigating the harsh realities of family, loss, and identity, she explores what it means to forge a path in the face of adversity. Her story is not just about surviving but about finding meaning in every struggle and making the choice to heal, grow, and create something meaningful from life's chaos. Through raw and reflective storytelling, Liberty reveals how we all carry a unique strength shaped by our experiences. Whether narrowly escaping a home invasion, competing against odds in the Olympic trials, or building a supportive community, her journey reminds us that purpose is not found in a destination—it is discovered along the way. This book invites readers to see life differently, honor their resilience, and trust in the power of each choice. Liberty's story is a testament to the power of resilience and the courage to rise above. More than just a story, it's an invitation to live intentionally, uncover your strength, rewrite your narrative, and embrace the journey ahead. This interview is from Father's Day Weekend 2022. We never intended for this episode to be released on our audio network as it was a live interview on YouTube but with our guest having such a great football season, we thought we'd release it today. Jason Candle is the coach of the University of Toledo football team and this year they won the Mid-American Conference Championship and defeated Liberty in the Boca Raton Bowl. We ran into Coach Candle back in June at the Fatherhood Festival at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He had brought his leadership council to help out with the event. The interview took place outside with a lot of other things going on around us but the insights are still good and I think you'll get a sense as to one of the reasons Toledo football had the season that they did. We hope you enjoy this brief interview with Coach Jason Candle from the University of Toledo. - - - - - Watch the full interview at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YwKJjxT4Do - - - - - University of Toledo football coach Jason Candle sat down with the "Success is a Choice" podcast host Jamy Bechler at the Fatherhood Festival. He brought his player leadership council to the event as volunteers. This was a homecoming of sorts for Candle as he played on two NCAA Division III National Championship teams as a Wide Receiver at nearby Mount Union College. Some of the athletes in attendance at this event included Anthony Munoz, Mike Singletary, Ben Garland, Ed McCaffrey, Christian McCaffrey, David Tyree, and Shaun Alexander. Darrin Gray serves as President and CEO of The Lions Lead.  Darrin has more than 25 years of executive leadership experience in communications, media, branding, sports philanthropy and non-profit sectors and has managed annual budgets as large as $40,000,000. Based upon his work with All Pro Dad, the national non-profit founded by Tony Dungy, Darrin is recognized as a thought leader and speaker on the topics of family, fatherhood, mentoring and leadership.  Darrin co-authored The Jersey Effect, Beyond the World Championship, and supports his community by serving on non-profit boards and as the President of the Center for Serving Leadership at the Sagamore Institute, an action-oriented think tank. Darrin has a unique window into the National Football League by virtue of his day-to-day involvement with All Pro Dad, Family First’s national fatherhood program cofounded by Tony Dungy and Clyde Christensen. Darrin interacts with NFL athletes, coaches, and alumni that serve as spokesmen for All Pro Dad, and he has conducted programming with over half of the NFL franchises. He develops innovative partnership strategies to reach families via special events, broadcast, and new media with the assistance of media partners and corporate sponsors. He conceptualized The Jersey Effect years ago when he wondered what motivated some athletes like Tony Dungy to use their professional platform in sports, their jersey, to make a positive impact both on and off the field. A few years later he invited NFL punter Hunter Smith, while he was still playing in the NFL, to coauthor the book and to help him explore the many ways that sports shape culture, with the help of his world champion teammates and coaches.    In today’s episode, we discuss: Working with NFL Hall of Fame Coach Tony Dungy His involvement with All Pro Dad Taking a group of NFL players to Israel   Twitter: @AllProDadLeader Instagram: @AllProDadLeader Linkedin: www.linkedin.com/in/darrin-gray-4995027 Website: http://home.thelionslead.com Pinterest: www.pinterest.com/allprodadleader All Pro Dad: www.allprodad.com The Jersey Effect: www.JerseyEffect.org Promise Keepers: www.PromiseKeepers.org Darrin enjoys listening to the following podcasts ...
