We start with news that Mitchell Robinson is dealing with a broken pinky, leaving us to wonder how it will affect him in the Finals. Boomer wonders why the Knicks aren't favored over both teams, while Gio would rather play the Spurs. Jerry's first update starts with Victor Wembanyama, followed by Mike Brown on the evolving Knicks offense,Geno Smith on being back with the Jets, Abdul Carter missing the meeting where Jaxson Dart discussed introducing the President, and Andy Reid on Patrick Mahomes' readiness. Finally, we address Claude Lemieux passing away at age 60 due to suicide, Boomer and Jerry's golf outing yesterday at Deepdale—which Gio notes has tremendous showers—and Mayor Mamdani referencing Knicks players by nickname and first name.
We kick off with how Mitchell Robinson's broken pinky finger will affect him in the Finals, debate the Spurs-Thunder Game 7, and react to Claude Lemieux's passing before looking back at Boomer and Jerry's golf outing at Deepdale. Next, we break down the NBA's new draft lottery rule to combat tanking, Garrett Wilson wanting to bring Knicks-level excitement to Jets fans, and CJ Stroud's new haircut. Then, Boomer doubles down on his Jaxson Dart/Abdul Carter take, a caller wonders if Robinson would amputate his finger for a championship ring, and Evan Roberts struggles to pronounce "Wembanyama." Finally, we guess whether Boomer has driven more miles or hit more golf balls, reveal why Daniel Jones is dating a prominent surgeon's daughter, look at what kills humans the most every year, and wrap up with Mike Breen praising Kevin Harlan.
The podcast in search of the sea lives! But, over the course of three QPR games, is a maritime connection uncovered? It seems unlikely as Alex journeys to Deepdale in Preston, Loftus Road in Shepherd's Bush and finally Champion Hill in East Dulwich. Alas, poor FOTM, for Dulwich Hamlet is nowhere near the Med, Preston North End is even further away and QPR's only discernible nautical allusion is the blue of their hoops. No matter. Ricardo and Deano were fine company in the north, Ricardo was again on form in Shepherd's Bush and West Ham Dan was as lively as ever down in Dulwich. The stand-out performer, though, was Alan 'Monday, Tuesday' Haringey. A belting rendition in the midst of a 5-1 London Senior Cup win for the Rs.

You can still donate to our Benali on Tour fundraiser for Saints Foundation here — every contribution makes a difference: https://saintsfoundation.enthuse.com/pf/total-saints-podcast-x-daily-echoSouthampton are officially heading into the play-offs — and with a win behind them.On Episode 378 of the Total Saints Podcast, Martin Starke is joined by Steve Grant, Glen de la Cour, Alfie House and, briefly, Producer Alex Graham to look back on a huge weekend for the club and the podcast team. Before the football, the panel reflect on Benali on Tour, after Martin, Alfie and Alex took part in the gruelling 10 Lake District Peaks challenge in aid of Saints Foundation. It proved to be one of the toughest physical challenges any of them had ever faced, but thanks to the generosity of the TSP community, more than £3,000 has been raised so far, with the wider fundraising total heading towards £50,000. There's also praise for Franny Benali, Iain Dowie, the Saints Foundation team and the many supporters who made the weekend so memorable. The focus then turns to Saints' 3-1 win away at Preston North End. With fourth place on the line, Tonda Eckert made a few changes, resting James Bree and Finn Azaz, while Shea Charles and Cameron Archer were used in slightly different roles. The panel discuss the overall performance, goals from Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Ross Stewart and Kyle Larin, Daniel Peretz's mistake, Tom Fellows' lively display, and why Caspar Jander continues to look like one of Saints' key players heading into the final stretch of the season. There's also a discussion around Player of the Week, the atmosphere at Deepdale, the impressive away following, and the strange sight of an inflatable object making its way around the away end.Attention then turns to the play-off semi-final against Middlesbrough. Saints were beaten 4-0 at the Riverside earlier in the season, but the panel discuss why this version of Southampton looks very different now. With Flynn Downes available again, Jack Stephens working back towards fitness, and selection questions around Matsuki, Tom Fellows, Cyle Larin and Ross Stewart, there are big decisions ahead before Saturday's first leg.The team also discuss the importance of finishing fourth, the psychological benefit of having the second leg at St Mary's, the dangers of complacency, Middlesbrough's recent form, and just how much promotion could shape the future of the squad. To finish, there's a quick word on the Southampton FC Women's team, who ended their WSL2 campaign with a strong win and a fifth-place finish, plus a reminder to catch TSP's recent interview with Marieanne Spacey-Cale.We'll be back next Sunday at 7pm to react to the first leg and look ahead to the decisive return fixture at St Mary's. Well, that's a record anyway - the longest penalty shootout in English domestic football history, and of course Fulham ended up on the wrong side of it. After a frustrating 90 minutes of action against Preston North End at Deepdale, Fulham's heavily rotated XI weren't able to find a winner, and thus ensued one of the most typical stories you could imagine. We take a look back at the game as a whole, examining the performances of a number of players for better and for worse - Ryan Sessegnon, Reiss Nelson, Rodrigo Muniz, Tom Cairney, Harrison Reed, Sander Berge, Issa Diop, Jorge Cuenca and Steven Benda - before touching on the penalty shootout that dominated the headlines this morning for good measure. Then we head onwards to Newcastle at the Cottage this weekend - traditionally a game we always struggle in - and take a look at what changes Marco could make, and how we can win the individual battles against a Magpies side that haven't been playing brilliantly, but keep finding results nonetheless. There's a quick email to address leadership in this group, before we finish with a special This'll Catch On written specifically about the Drama at Deepdale last night.
