Erik G. Turner has a background in chemical and process engineering and started his career in the Pharma industry. Currently working for Neustark, an ETH spin off which works in the carbon removal space, transforming old concrete and CO2 into recycled concrete, he is contributing to the transformation of one of the largest waste streams in the world. Erik got interested in sustainability in 2018, joining the NGO YES Europe, a youth led initiative focusing on a sustainable energy transition. His thoughts center around identifying leverage points we have as a society to make change happen, around complexity and ambiguity and about "living the questions", which is very much what this episode is about. We explore the topics of "tools" (which will we be choosing to address different crisis), the "simple solutions trap" presented by politics and industry and why Erik's honest answer to: which solutions he is seeing at the moment - is quite shockingly "none!" This is an episode of exploration and questioning and we do hope you enjoy listening

Ideal Para Llevarte O Regalar Productos Del Podcats De Ivoox.

Right out of the gates off of Sunset Strip with their debut album, 1989's "Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich", D.R.F.S.R., also a song on the album. First single off the album, was "Down Boys". But the second single was the ballad "Heaven"; it went to #2. It was denied the #1 position by Milli Vanilli's "Girl I'm Gonna Miss You", so in hindsight, if the Grammy can be stripped from Milli Vanilli, seems that Heaven should be rewarded with the #1 spot. The album spawned other hit singes as well, "Big Talk" and another ballad "Sometimes She Cries". And a fan favorite, "32 Pennies" in a Ragu jar... The band consisted of former Plain Jane band members Jani Lane on vocals and Steven Sweet on drums. Along with Joey Allen on lead guitar, Erik Turner on rhythm guitar, and Jerry Dixon on bass. The following year in 1990, they would release their follow-up to "D.R.F.S.R.", "Cherry Pie". The title song "Cherry Pie" is the song that would define the band, even bigger than the success of "Heaven". The song was a last minute addition, due to record management insistence to have a new sort of 'rock anthem' added to the album for marketability of the new record. So, Jani sits down and pens the track in 15 minutes. This is one of the rare cases of a Music Exec being right, but it was Jani's brilliance that made this tongue in cheek song such a mega hit! The other bandmates weren't even around the studio at the time, so it was recorded like much of the album and like "D.R.F.S.R.", with studio musicians... this I just learned. And they even work in the title to their previous album, "Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich"! Although, it is commonly known that the 'trained professional' reference is to none other than C.C. DeVille of Poison. CC is responsible for those licks and solo in Cherry Pie. This didn't help much with all of their comparison's of sound and appearance to Poison or due to the fact that they were touring partners. But "Cherry Pie" would be the song that Jani would come to resent and hate. It you google "Jani Lane ha", "tes Cherry Pie" comes up and autofills in the search bar for "Jani Lane hates Cherry Pie". He regretted writing the song, because he felt that it delegitimized him as a songwriter. That and that we would be remembered for this one song, "Cherry Pie". He shared his disdain about the song on a VHI interview, by saying "I could shoot myself in the fucking head for writing that song". He hated that he would be known for that song and be forever known as, the "Cherry Pie guy". He regretted writting the song, because he felt that it delegitimized him as a songwriter. We've nearly run out of adjectives to describe this season! The 2017 Buffalo Bills have come off the rails, and Drew isn't far behind. Tonight we run a whole gamut of emotions as we host Erik Turner of Cover1/Locked On Bills to discuss the QB change, and talk about why some of the national criticism of McDermott should be outrightly ignored. Then Drew gets choked up as we recap BUFvsLAC, we discuss the AFC Playoff Picture and preview our matchup with the Chiefs - there's things here to exploit but it's on our coaches and players to see whether or not they want to take advantage of them. Sunday and the rest of our season rest squarely on their shoulders! @Cover_1_ – Erik Turner / Twitterhttps://audioboom.com/channel/locked-on- bills - Locked On Bills Podcast @RockpileReport - Twitter www.Facebook.com/TheRockpileReport - Follow us for pics, updates, live video & more! www.Wiseguysbuffalo.com - The Official Pizzaria of the Rockpile Report Podcast www.Peppermaster.com - The Official Hot Sauce of the Rockpile Report Podcast www.grandstandsportsnetwork.com - Bringing You the Best Views in Sports! www.RocSportsNetwork.com - Bringing Regional Sports & Hunting to the Rocherster & Syracuse Region Learn more about your ad choices. Welcome to a loaded edition of the Rockpile Report, featuring guests Erik Turner of Cover1.net & former SD Chargers blogger Jeff Siniard! We were supposed to go bi-weekly but this week carried too much news to pass up, with the hire of Sean McDermott. We talk about the press conference, and about why Jerry Sullivan and most of the TBN crew can bite the fattest part of Drew's ass. Then, with Erik Turner we talk about the changes coming between the newly hired staff and the defensive scheme. and how our current personnel fits them. And finally, Drew editorializes on the situation in San Diego with the help of former BoltsFromTheBlue.com blogger Jeff Siniard. It's something that not only infuriates Drew, but is also a story line that Bills fans need to realize can play out for anyone considering the NFL's business model.
