Kelly Cates presents Friday Night Football from the Amex alongside Izzy Christiansen and Steve Sidwell, who analyse Brighton and Southampton's eventful 1-1 draw. The visitors were controversially denied a winner after Adam Armstrong was deemed to have interfered with the ball in an offside position during the build-up to Cameron Archer's second-half strike. Izzy Christiansen could understand Saints' frustration at the disallowed goal, describing the decision as a ‘bitter pill to swallow'.There is also reaction from player of the match Tyler Dibling, goalscorer Flynn Downes, and Fabian Hurzeler. Russell Martin spoke pitchside after the game and struggled to accept the officials' reasoning for ruling their potential winner out.

The Bitter Pill
Send us a textI often feel frustrated with those of us who romanticize relationships with individuals exhibiting cluster B personality traits, especially during and after a divorce. I remember a specific instance where someone mourned a “best friend” they believed to be a covert narcissist. I found their feelings misguided because these individuals were never true friends. It's so important to recognize the facade presented by these personalities.Reflecting on my own experience, I can assert that my spouse lacked genuine care for me. I believe that many people involved with cluster B personalities often miss out on the benefits of the relationship itself rather than missing the partner. These individuals tend to see others as possessions rather than people deserving of love.I've witnessed the emotional struggles, low self-esteem, manipulation, and gaslighting that are common in these toxic dynamics. I urge anyone in a similar situation to confront the painful reality of their relationships. Self-awareness and healing are essential, and we need to stop romanticizing past connections. Ultimately, I stress that true friendship cannot coexist with harmful behaviors, and accepting this truth is crucial for moving forward.Support the show

Telegram, the bad boy of social messaging, is in deep trouble. Its CEO Pavel Durov has been arrested by the French police on alleged failure to mitigate the misuse of its platform for criminal activities. A new report examining how medicines are funded in New Zealand suggests it's too cost-focused and should instead be approached as an investment in Kiwis' welfare. The ShawView report - commissioned by Johnson&Johnson - says New Zealand is falling behind similar high-income OECD countries in providing access to new treatments. It suggests immediately funding the 109 medicines sitting on Pharmac's Options for Investment List, the creation of a government plan to increase the annual medicines budget to get it closer to the OECD average, developing new financing mechanisms, setting up a dedicated fund to finance innovative new medicines and creating a national medicine policy. Brendan Shaw is behind the report - he's worked in a number of roles across government, NGOs and pharmaceutical associations - including Medicines Australia and with the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Associations.

What does a Philadelphia junk artist have to do with the deaths of a wealthy Canadian pharma giant and his philanthropist wife? Maybe nothing, but it's odd that their bodies were reportedly posed like a piece of junk sculpture that the Shermans displayed nearby. But this strange coincidence is just one of many in this most baffling of unsolved murder cases in Canadian history. Host Kathleen Goldhar goes on a byzantine journey to find out what kind of life do you have to live that your death spurns on multiple theories about who might have killed you, including some involving your closest family. The Sexual Revolution promised to usher in an era of liberty, happiness, and harmony between the sexes. Like many promises of a Utopian paradise, it failed to deliver. Instead, the Sexual Revolution has culminated in a world with sexual enslavement, little joy, and greater friction between men and women than at any point in history. On this episode of The 40 Days for Life Podcast, we break down what went wrong--and why the Sexual Revolution has been a disaster for humanity.
