Join Paul, Martin & Callum to react to Celtic's 3-1 win over RB Leipzig in Matchday 4 of the UEFA Champions League. Celtic went behind after 23 minutes as Christoph Baumgartner nodded home from a corner to give Leipzig the lead. But the Hoops, who started the game well, responded and a beautiful curling effort from Nicolas Kühn brought us level. Right on half-time, Celtic's pressure caused Leipzig to concede possession on the edge of their box. Hatate worked some space and found Taylor with a lovely slide rule pass and Kuhn was there to fire home from 6 yards to make it 2-1. In the second half, Celtic controlled vast swathes of the game with excellent possession and composure. And after 72 minutes, Kühn found Johnston's overlapping run and the Canadian's low cutback was spilled by Gulasci at the feet of Hatate who clipped it into the roof of the net to send Celtic Park into overdrive. A huge 3 points sees Celtic sit 13th on 7 points after 4 games. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Wednesday morning's briefing from The Celtic Way.
Celtic maintained their 100% start to the Scottish Premiership season with a comfortable 0-3 win over St. Mirren in Paisley. The Celts continued their habit of fast starts with captain Callum McGregor rifling into Balcombe's bottom left-hand corner from the edge of the box. Despite Celtic's dominance in the game, it took until 33 minutes to find the second goal. Maeda's knock down was struck first-time by his compatriot Hatate who found the bottom corner to give Celtic a 0-2 half-time lead. Into the second half and Celtic continued with their good tempo and quick combination play. There were chances for Kyogo and Kuhn, before Allistair Johnston underlapping run on the end of a Kuhn through ball, gave him the time and space to find the roof of the net to cap a great win for the Champions. A week can be a long time in football. Rangers had the chance to leapfrog Celtic into top spot with a win in last week's derby at Ibrox, but failure to do so (do "moral victorys" count?) has cost them badly. Further failure in Dingwall by Phillipe Clement's men has now left the Hoops with a four point lead in the title race as a Reo Hatate inspired performance ensured it was the green side of Glasgow who were celebrating after another weekend of high drama in the title race. In addition to the impact of the returning Hatate, team-mates Cameron Carter-Vickers, Alistair Johnstone, Kyogo and others have found form at the best possible time as the Bhoys focus in on a potential league and cup double. Brendan Rodgers too is in buoyant mood, declaring this as the stage of the season when "Celtic come alive!" And it couldn't come at a better time! Three points clear already, normal service resumes! Celtic did their talking on the pitch as always, gubbing Ross County 4-2 and Reidzo talks with Stevie about todays season opener, although it wasn't quite the hammering the scoreline possibly reflects, albeit Celtic never had to play at their best to win convincingly anyways. We debate Hatate's scowling persona, Starfelt likely away, Turnbull's fine display and Matt O'Riley's goal being eerily similar to Gary Hooper's April 2012 finish. Oh and the goalie position is discussed as well. Instagram and Threads: @GIGPOD Music Credit - The Motion - Where Is My Mind? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Hector, Monty and Desi get together to celebrate with agreement on Good Friday and look back at recent celtic games and related matters ( Brendan - huch spit!) and the big game against Rangers tomorrow which could effectively clinch the league for all intent and purpose. The guys look back at the games both sides of the Intrernational break and they consider the different dynamics many of the players in simialr positions bring to the Celtic performances. They look at Brendan Rodgers getting the bump at leicester and how Ange helped ease much of that lingering pain when he did a midnight flit up here. They then look forward to the game tomorrow and contemplate the possible line-ups and who can step in should players like Hatate not make it or Taylor face further twinges to his hamstring. They wonder if VAR could make a difference this time around, especially after recent games and they consider the possible outcome if Celtic can turn up and execute their game plan successfully.

IF Reo Hatate and some of his new team-mates weren't sure what they were signing up for when they joined Celtic Football Club then things will certainly have become a whole lot clearing after a pulsating Glasgow derby victory over Rangers under the disco lights at Celtic Park. Hatate (2) and Liel Abada got the all important goals on the night, all coming in an explosive first half display which propels Ange Postecoglou's men to the top of the table for the first time under his leadership. Now that the dust has settled (kinda!) Tino, James & Paddy got on the mics to dissect the game, to cover all the key talking points and to discuss what this now means for this new and exciting team of Ange's.
Celtic put Rangers to the Sword on Wednesday night with a 3-0 demolition.. the score line may not show this but Celtic put on some performance and Rangers couldn't live with us.. Hatate x2 and Abada with the goals. Celtic started on the front foot and from the off it looked like Celtic were in the mood.. Sam JP and Ryan went through the game in great detail.Tune in and enjoy.

O'Riley Debut and Hatate playing well.. lots of positives to speak about on which was a tough game on paper.Celtic in the first half were really good quick paced football and created many chances.. very exciting half of football.. 2nd half seen the game out and game management was brilliant.

In this episode Ryan was joined by JP on the aftermath of Celtic's victory over Hibs a 2-0 win.Celtic started with new signings Maeda and Hatate.. Maeda scored on his debut and looked like he had been here for years very good start.. Reo Hatate controlled the game and was effortless spraying about passes.. soild at the back with CCV and Starfelt,So many positives from the game and also in the podcast was news of Leigh Griffiths.
DAIZEN Maeda stole the headlines with a quickfire debut goal against Hibs but it was his countryman Reo Hatate who was the undoubted star of the show with a Man of the Match performance in the heart of Celtic's midfield. The Japanese star showed us exactly why Ange Postecoglou was so keen to secure his signature and already looks like he'll slot seamlessly into the starting XI. A full Celtic Park welcomed the team back after the winter break and the Bhoys didn't disappoint with an impressive performance against Shaun Maloney's side. Yosuke Ideguchi joined Maeda and Hatate in making his debut, but Carl Starfelt, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Greg Taylor also showed their quality on the night. With our Glasgow rivals dropping points at Pittodrie we're now within 4 points of the top of the table with some huge matches in store ahead of the derby on 2ndof February. The January transfer window remains oipen for another couple of weeks but with no activity in or out in over a week Ange has indicated our signings may be done. We'll monitor that space closely for any changes. Tino, James & Sinky were on the mics to discuss all of the above and more.
