Dextra Hoffman's talent as a portrait artist first captured Elle's attention when Dex posted a WiP (work in progress) of Kate McKinnon as Holtzmann on Facebook. Elle quickly procured the portrait (which now hangs in their bedroom), spent a Comic Con with Dextra, and asked their brilliant friend to come on the podcast with the hopes that she would share the story of her grandpa and Captain America. She lovingly obliged. Il l'aurait écrit en une nuit, du 25 au 26 avril 1792.La France venait, en avril, de déclarer la guerre à l'Autriche. Il lui fallait un chant martial, pour galvaniser les soldats. Ce sera "La Marseillaise", d'abord appelée "Chant de guerre pour l'armée du Rhin".Elle devra son nom définitif aux fédérés marseillais qui, comme tous les gardes nationaux du pays, sont invités, en 1792, à se rassembler dans la capitale pour fêter le 14 juillet. Ils entonnent ce chant sur la route et en arrivant à Paris.Un double plagiat ?"La Marseillaise" tient une telle place dans notre patrimoine national qu'il est difficile d'y toucher. Ainsi, jusqu'à une date assez récente, personne ne s'est vraiment avisé de remettre en cause le caractère original de ce chant.Aujourd'hui, des historiens et des musicologues n'hésitent plus à prétendre que "la Marseillaise" est un plagiat. Ghostbusters isn't getting a sequel. Well, that's what the word is now based on projections that the remake film is likely to post a seventy million dollar loss. Could it have been a backlash from that awful first trailers, sexism, or is it a poorly made movie?
