13k+ Instagram followers in 2 years… and a booming online biz! I'm SO here for it! Get ready to have your mind blown if you've been riding the Instagram growth struggle bus like I have. I learned a TON throughout this conversation with Indee Larsen about how she's been able to crack the code with Instagram, and all of the strategies she shares can be applied to your podcast promotion! Indee Larsen started her teen mom journey unexpectedly at age 17, at a time when she was preparing to play college basketball. Now at age 20, Indee is thriving in a fulfilled life, better in many ways than she ever could have imagined. Throughout this conversation, Indee shares how she was able to flip her mindset to embrace her new future at such a young age, including her strategies for making an extra income from home using Instagram marketing… and how she's helping other young moms (& now podcasters too lol) to do the same! What if you listened to that internal rumble, made the leap, and trusted it would work out? What difference could that make in your life? Whether it's a career change or launch into entrepreneurship, most people want to know the next move before they take it but what if you decided to just go for it? Shannon Olson loved her career and she was really good at it. At the same time, she knew she needed to keep stretching and growing, and it was time for a new adventure. Without knowing what that was, or how she would discover it, she left her corporate job and gave herself time to talk and learn from others. She's now the Founder of Indee, a modern marketing co-op. Be ready to be inspired and challenged to go for it. Show Notes:Shannon OlsonIndee

Appalachian Vibes Radio Show is created and produced by Amanda Bocchi, a neo soul singer-songwriter, multi instrumentalist and journalist hailing from the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia.
Hello! Since Appalachian Vibes is also a radio show airing mini segments Wednesday through Friday on a station in Virginia, we thought we'd share the App Vibes mini episodes every Wednesday through Friday at 1pm. Mini episodes feature one artist, one of their songs and a blurb from their interview. Sunday evening at 7pm the full show is published after the last live airing. Todays featured artist is Indee from Indee Killed the Pop Star. She used to be an opera singer and her destiny brought her to the carnation of truly magical indie singer-songwriter and composer. Her voice is precise and focused but warm and mellifluous. This is her song "Sweetest Soul" from her album The Climb. Join Change Catalyst Founder & CEO Melinda Briana Epler in her interview with Muna Hussaini, Chief of Staff to Indee's CTO, about navigating parenthood during the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020. Muna shares about her own story as an American Muslim; working to build more inclusive workplaces; the impact of Black Lives Matter on her kids and family; the new norm of handling Zoom calls and full- time work with kids; and how teams and companies can show up for parents. Other highlights include:The opportunity to redefine success in this tumultuous timeThe fact that it's ok not to do everything, and ways team members can help each otherThe need for companies to walk the talk when they say that their employees are their most important assetsMuna's insights in this discussion include:"We have an opportunity to redefine what success looks like so that the costs that were incurred by the few are now shared collectively, and I think if we can redefine what that looks like, we win together. "“People have to know that if they share something that maybe makes them vulnerable, that they have the psychological safety to share, and that they won't be penalized for it. And it can be really hard.""I have always struggled with this guilt from being away from my kids... and I just think I am going to miss this, you know?”Listen to Muna's new podcast, 3 Righteous Mamas, on Apple Podcasts at https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/3-righteous-mamas/id1536213832Additional ResourcesConnect with Muna's podcast on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/3RighteousMamasLearn about iACT, the Interfaith Action of Central Texas: http://interfaithtexas.org/Read more about Muslim Space: https://muslimspace.org/⭑⭑ Find this episode meaningful?

Hello again! We are right in the thick of moving out of our house and down to Tennessee but we wanted to get another recording in before we left! We wanted to talk about what the first 19 months of parenting has been for us, and what the first two months of parenting 2 kids has been like. Share some successes and failures. Plus, the real star of the show makes her podcast debut! Indee shows up somewhere with an extremely cute display of her words and animal noises! Enjoy! Happy New Year!
How I Raised It - The podcast where we interview startup founders who raised capital.
Produced by Foundersuite.com, "How I Raised It" goes behind the scenes with startup founders who have raised capital. This episode is with Ryan Pawell of Indee Labs. Indee Labs is a developer of gene delivery hardware designed to unlock gene-modified cell therapy for the masses. In this episode, Ryan talks about raising money for a bio hardware business, raising money from a variety of sources -- from the Australian Government, to Y Combinator, to Founders Fund -- and everything in between. He also discusses using government grants as a proxy for revenue, and how to run a phased milestone-based approach when fundraising. **Note: apologies for the variation in audio volume.
“We want to archive and collect stories on our own terms. A big part of documenting the history is documenting the history for us, by us. And that’s the big seed of everything, everything starts from the story. Everything starts from these interviews and relationships with these elders and the intergenerational connections.” - Indee Mitchell For episode 18 we talked to Bonnie Gabel and Indee Mitchell about their project Last Call: New Orleans Dyke Bar History Project. This project creates a digital archive of queer oral history, hosts a podcast series and tutorials and puts on live performances and events in service of these projects. Look out for our next episode where we talk to Sarah Humble about her interview with the queer photographer Janet Ryan that she submitted to The Leather Archives Museum. Follow this channel for more great content! Please share, like, and send us feedback about the podcast.

Indie tells her story of overcoming vocal nodules and re-branding her art as a singer-songwriter distinguished by her powerful opera vocal chops. In addition, Amanda and Indee talk about the challenges of anxiety and how that affects the trajectory of a music career. She is currently working on a new album that she hopes to release in 2017. In Indie's own words, it is heavily influenced by the band Radiohead. She has been writing the songs since 2009 and she hopes to release the first video Youngblood with a grassroots team of her friends. She supplements her performance income with being a Music Teacher for 40 students. Being thrifty helps with making ends meet They discuss how to convert social media likes to customers and fans that show up to shows. One of the highlights of the interview was the discussion about music scenes in major cities such as New York, LA, Nashville, Atlanta, Austin etc. It is amazing how many musical opportunities you have available in a major city. There can be hundreds of events that you can play. If you are a musician struggling in your small or medium size town, perhaps you should move to a large city and give that a shot. Little fish in a big pond is not always bad! Quotes: "You don't need a music degree to play at Starbucks!" - Amanda Bocchi "When you love it, go for it! This is your life. Go for your dreams". - Indie Sing for Your Life BIO Indee Killed the Pop Star, an indie-folk band from the deep South, combines classical inspiration with a rock-pop mix for audiences around Atlanta. With hints of opera and jazz bursting through the vocals, strings and woodwinds provide a bright backdrop for songs about love, pain, healing and... cats. Lead singer Indee, a self-described "bad-ass rockstar bitch", made a huge impression three years ago, placing fourth runner-up in the first season of Atlanta's Sing For Your Life competition. Since then, her and her band have played venues around the city and around Georgia, creating genre-twisting, original songs and breathing fresh air into the local music scene.
