Rincón de la Victoria se une un año más a las Jornadas Europeas de Arqueología (JEA) ofreciendo visitas guiadas gratuitas a las cuevas prehistóricas de El Cantal; la Cueva de la Victoria y la Galería del Higuerón, así como al yacimiento arqueológico, Villa Antiopa, del 14 al 16 de junio. El alcalde de Rincón de la Victoria, Francisco Salado (PP), ha destacado “la importancia de formar parte de estas jornadas europeas para la proyección de nuestro patrimonio arqueológico, que es único, y nos posiciona como ciudad singular, gracias también a la destacada labor de investigación, protección y difusión que venimos realizando por parte de grandes profesionales como Pedro Cantalejo”. El concejal de Turismo, Antonio José Martín (PP), ha explicado que “las visitas arqueológicas y espeleológicas guiadas se realizarán a la Cueva de la Victoria y también a la Galería del Higuerón, zona no abierta al público dentro del complejo de la Cueva del Tesoro, donde se podrán contemplar las excavaciones arqueológicas realizadas en el año 1972, el arte rupestre y los enterramientos prehistóricos”. Además, “el visitante podrá conocer las últimas excavaciones realizadas en el mes de noviembre que han sido habilitadas para profundizar aún más en el importante legado que tenemos en la Cueva de la Victoria”, indica el investigador, Pedro Cantalejo. Las visitas a la Cueva de la Victoria y la Galería del Higuerón se realizarán los días 14, 15 y 16 de junio a las 10:00 y 12:30 horas con aforo limitado de 10 personas cada pase.
