In Part 1 of our US Open Threads series, Anastasia is joined by journalist Jessica Schiffer (Hard Court) to explore how tennis and high fashion are becoming inseparable. We also gush over Lorenzo Musetti's Bottega era and take a victory lap for Venus Williams's US Open looks (Khaite, Phillip Lim, Who Decides War) including her Althea Gibson nod and that iconic racquet bag. Have you ever wondered what it's like to move from a high-profile career in fashion to the world of coaching and consulting? In this episode of Coaching Catalysts, co-hosts Sarah Bramall and Rebecca Daniel are joined by Anne Mühlethaler. Coach, communications specialist, storyteller, and founder of Le Trant.Anne talks about her career journey from Christian Louboutin to building her own blend of coaching, consulting, and podcasting. She shares how mentor coaching and ICF credentialing have shaped her path, the challenges she's faced along the way, and the role of ethics and alignment in her practice. If you're curious about the realities of accreditation, stepping into new professional identities, or simply how coaching skills can support both life and business, this conversation will give you plenty to reflect on.Here are the highlights:00:00 Introduction04:59 Developing clear intentions and communicating them simply07:24 Podcasting milestones and diverse coaching10:12 Trusting instincts: finding your own way as a coach15:01 Becoming an ethical coach18:53 The challenge of aligning with ICF guidelines22:55 Piano lessons as a metaphor for coaching mastery26:54 Presence, empathy, and curiosity beyond the session28:24 Who we are is how we coach and vice versa.Anne Mühlethaler:Anne Mühlethaler is the founder of Le Trente, a social learning studio and community of practice where mindfulness, creative expression, and storytelling converge to support personal and professional growth. Since the late 1970s, his studio and stage collaborations have included the classic dance group Platinum Hook, Change, the B.B. & Q. Band, High Fashion, Deodato, Melba Moore, Aleem, Lillo Thomas, Keith Sweat, George Benson, Madonna, Joe, Chaka Khan, Randy Crawford and many others. In more recent years, he has been involved with several organizations in support of music education and is currently touring with Taylor Dayne. RECORDED MAY 2025 Hosted by Scott "DR GX" Goldfine — musicologist, author of “Everything Is on the One: The First Guide of Funk” and creator/host of the popular TRUTH IN RHYTHM podcast — "Where'd You Get Your Funk From?" is the latest interview show brought to you by FUNKNSTUFF.NET. Where'd You Get Your Funk From (WYGYFF) is an open format video and audio podcast focusing on the here and now, with a broad range of creative and artistic guests sharing fascinating stories, experiences, and perspectives. WYGYFF is a welcoming avenue to newer and independent musical acts as well as established and still active musicians of any genre; authors; filmmakers; actors; artists; collectors and archivists; radio & podcast personalities; journalists; scholars; sound techs; promoters; photographers; and other creative people. A common thread, is the show's standard opening question: Where'd you get your funk from? This is much deeper than it may seem as the answer need not be strictly about funky music, as not everyone has found the funk. It could hit on whatever type of music touches their soul or pleasure centers. Additionally, the question extends beyond music. Paraphrasing George Clinton, funk is whatever it needs to be to get you over the hump. Thus, guests can explain where they got their grit, perseverance, inspiration, talent, creativity, character or other qualities that shaped them into who they are today. This serves as a springboard into candid, in-depth and engrossing conversations. LEGAL NOTICE: All video and audio content protected by copyright. After World War I, artists in France treated cars as a new kind of canvas — transforming machines into works of high art and fashion. An original exhibition at the St. Louis Art Museum, “Roaring,” explores that influence through more than 160 items and 12 vintage cars. The museum says the exhibit is its most popular since 2018. It recently expanded its hours in the leadup to its closing July 27. “Roaring” curator Genevieve Cortinovis shares her insight into the exhibit's creation and the convergence of high fashion and beautiful cars.

This week on After Hours x Above the Fold, I sat down with my girl Dillon Duchesne, senior partnerships lead at Yotpo and co-founder of Midcoast, to talk about what actually makes a partnership work (hint: it's not just a logo swap and a handshake). We get into Dillon's wild career path—from 11 years as a runway model to crushing tech sales—and how that experience taught her the kind of relationship-building that most people skip over. We also talk about the power of being underestimated, why referrals can change everything, and how partnerships can either be a flywheel or a full-blown mess.Plus, we dig into why “better together” isn't just a tagline, what makes a brand collab flop, and how being top-of-mind is actually a retention strategy. We also spill a little Midcoast tea, share what we don't want to see at events anymore, and talk about building the kind of community we always wished existed. If you're in tech, sales, partnerships, or just trying to work with people who don't make you cringe—this one's for you.

When husband and wife Carolyn and Joseph Ferrara launched Ferrara Manufacturing in 1987, they set out to make the best womenswear in the business, all from their New York City's Garment District factory. They had no idea that NAFTA was about to rock the U.S. garment industry to its core, but they fought through the tumult and found success in working with brands like Ralph Lauren. Their daughter, Gabrielle Ferrara, Ferrara Manufacturing's chief operating officer, shares how the family-owned, women-owned, union-represented company's knack for innovation has helped it navigate the headwinds of offshoring and find new opportunities through the latest manufacturing technology. What's up Bros?? We are bringing you our premier recap ON PREMIER NIGHT! The ladies of Salt Lake kicked off the season with a great episode! Lisa throws a Besos (not Bezos) party for everyone and it is high fashion above all else. We learn what the gangs been up to. Lisa and Whitney have some beef to settle due to Whitney talking some smack on the Viall Files. It appears that Mary Cosby and Angie K. have become besties and it may simply be because Angie pointed out some lipstick on Mary's teeth at the reunion. It's the simple things, amiright? Meredith has issues about Bermuda and the reunion... but none of it has to do with Monica, in fact she is upset because she still hasnt recieved any apologies from anyone. On top of that, Whitney had the audacity to create a bath bomb line. Who cares if she sold bath bombs for years?! Not Meredith. Because between the bath bombs and the jewelry line, it's clear to Meredith that Whitney is attacking her... Angie K. pulls out a scroll of greivences to air out with Meredith. Dinner blows up when Lisa and Whitney get into it, and it appears as though Whitney may be on the outs with pretty much everyone. Last but not least, the newbies in the group (Bronwyn and Britani) performed extremely well in their first showing. Bronwyn seems like a high fashion, socialite while Britani is a genuine wild card. Both did a fantastic job in this first episode and we could not be more excited about whats to come! Want more BravBros content? On this week's episode of the Glossy Podcast, we catch up with Clare Waight Keller, named Uniqlo's creative director early this month. Waight Keller discusses her transition from designing at luxury fashion houses to leading the creative direction at a global retail giant, and her plans for Uniqlo's future. After studying at Ravensbourne College of Art and Design and earning her master's degree from the Royal College of Art, Waight Keller held design roles at Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. She later worked under Tom Ford at Gucci before taking the helm at Pringle of Scotland in 2005. In 2011, she became the creative director at Chloé, where her feminine, free-spirited designs took off. In 2017, she made history as the first female creative director at Givenchy, where she famously designed Meghan Markle's wedding dress. Waight Keller is now taking on a new challenge at Uniqlo, merging her luxury design sensibilities with the brand's technological innovations and global reach. “Good design is good design, whether it's on a luxury runway or in a global retail store,” she said. For Waight Keller, the appeal of Uniqlo lies in its integrity and focus on quality. “What was most surprising to me was how similar the design process at Uniqlo is to that of a luxury house," she said. "We approach it with the same level of care and craftsmanship. The difference is in scale." But she doesn't see the size of Uniqlo's operations as a hindrance. Instead, she embraces it as a unique opportunity to reach a broader audience while maintaining a high standard of design. But one challenge she is realizing is merging fashion with innovation. “The innovation at Uniqlo is unparalleled," she said. "The access to cutting-edge fabrics and the [company's] commitment to performance-based design is something I'm really excited about.” In addition to innovation, Waight Keller is focused on sustainability. As she steps into her new role, she's pushing Uniqlo even further toward environmentally conscious fashion. “We're already doing a lot, but I believe we can do even more," she said. "Sustainability is crucial, but so is longevity. We want to create pieces that last, both in terms of style and durability." Uniqlo's focus on essential, timeless pieces has been refreshing, Waight Keller said. “At Givenchy, I was designing up to 10 collections a year. At Uniqlo, it's two. But the pressure is still there — it's about making sure every piece is perfect. We're creating wardrobe staples that can stand the test of time, and that's where I find the challenge." She added, “Fashion doesn't have to be fleeting. With Uniqlo, I'm designing for everyone, from teenagers experimenting with style to professionals looking for the perfect tailored suit." Her vision is to make high-quality, stylish clothing accessible and inclusive, across all demographics and generations. Men's fashion at Uniqlo is a category she plans to expand. “From the first collection, we had so many men asking when we'd launch menswear. Now, it's here, and the response has been incredible,” she said. As Waight Keller looks ahead, she's excited to build upon Uniqlo's strong foundation, she said. “I've got so much access to the tools I need to push the boundaries," she said. "My goal is to take Uniqlo to the next level, without losing what makes the brand special: quality, accessibility and timeless style."
