This week on After Hours x Above the Fold, I sat down with my girl Dillon Duchesne, senior partnerships lead at Yotpo and co-founder of Midcoast, to talk about what actually makes a partnership work (hint: it's not just a logo swap and a handshake). We get into Dillon's wild career path—from 11 years as a runway model to crushing tech sales—and how that experience taught her the kind of relationship-building that most people skip over. We also talk about the power of being underestimated, why referrals can change everything, and how partnerships can either be a flywheel or a full-blown mess.Plus, we dig into why “better together” isn't just a tagline, what makes a brand collab flop, and how being top-of-mind is actually a retention strategy. We also spill a little Midcoast tea, share what we don't want to see at events anymore, and talk about building the kind of community we always wished existed. If you're in tech, sales, partnerships, or just trying to work with people who don't make you cringe—this one's for you.

Doch was genau bedeutet das?

They had no idea that NAFTA was about to rock the U.S. garment industry to its core, but they fought through the tumult and found success in working with brands like Ralph Lauren. Welcome to our first MID episode about hormones & peri & meno…we meant to do it earlier, but, you know: brain fog. For more than twenty-five years, Grace Lam lived and breathed the rarefied air of high fashion as a Vogue editor. Everything was going according to plan for the talented, organised, focused Grace until hormones entirely upended her tidy world. She's going to tell you about exactly what that felt like. Fast forward a few years, and Grace has become a loud and important voice for women being messed with by their hormones. She's just appeared before the Western Australian Senate Public Hearing on issues related to peri/menopause, presenting the practical changes we need our medical and government institutions to make to catch up with what we need. Grace is sharp and funny and honest and no bullshit. Like you. I think you're going like her. OH, and she's sweary. So. Yes, you're definitely going to like her. Grace is also generous - and has opened up her Instagram Rolodex with some links to follow for more information and inspiration about perimenopause & menopause. What's up Bros?? We are bringing you our premier recap ON PREMIER NIGHT! The ladies of Salt Lake kicked off the season with a great episode! Lisa throws a Besos (not Bezos) party for everyone and it is high fashion above all else. We learn what the gangs been up to. Lisa and Whitney have some beef to settle due to Whitney talking some smack on the Viall Files. It appears that Mary Cosby and Angie K. have become besties and it may simply be because Angie pointed out some lipstick on Mary's teeth at the reunion. It's the simple things, amiright? Meredith has issues about Bermuda and the reunion... but none of it has to do with Monica, in fact she is upset because she still hasnt recieved any apologies from anyone. On top of that, Whitney had the audacity to create a bath bomb line. Who cares if she sold bath bombs for years?! Not Meredith. Because between the bath bombs and the jewelry line, it's clear to Meredith that Whitney is attacking her... Angie K. pulls out a scroll of greivences to air out with Meredith. Dinner blows up when Lisa and Whitney get into it, and it appears as though Whitney may be on the outs with pretty much everyone. Last but not least, the newbies in the group (Bronwyn and Britani) performed extremely well in their first showing. Bronwyn seems like a high fashion, socialite while Britani is a genuine wild card. Both did a fantastic job in this first episode and we could not be more excited about whats to come! Want more BravBros content? On this week's episode of the Glossy Podcast, we catch up with Clare Waight Keller, named Uniqlo's creative director early this month. Waight Keller discusses her transition from designing at luxury fashion houses to leading the creative direction at a global retail giant, and her plans for Uniqlo's future. After studying at Ravensbourne College of Art and Design and earning her master's degree from the Royal College of Art, Waight Keller held design roles at Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. She later worked under Tom Ford at Gucci before taking the helm at Pringle of Scotland in 2005. In 2011, she became the creative director at Chloé, where her feminine, free-spirited designs took off. In 2017, she made history as the first female creative director at Givenchy, where she famously designed Meghan Markle's wedding dress. Waight Keller is now taking on a new challenge at Uniqlo, merging her luxury design sensibilities with the brand's technological innovations and global reach. “Good design is good design, whether it's on a luxury runway or in a global retail store,” she said. For Waight Keller, the appeal of Uniqlo lies in its integrity and focus on quality. “What was most surprising to me was how similar the design process at Uniqlo is to that of a luxury house," she said. "We approach it with the same level of care and craftsmanship. The difference is in scale." But she doesn't see the size of Uniqlo's operations as a hindrance. Instead, she embraces it as a unique opportunity to reach a broader audience while maintaining a high standard of design. But one challenge she is realizing is merging fashion with innovation. “The innovation at Uniqlo is unparalleled," she said. "The access to cutting-edge fabrics and the [company's] commitment to performance-based design is something I'm really excited about.” In addition to innovation, Waight Keller is focused on sustainability. As she steps into her new role, she's pushing Uniqlo even further toward environmentally conscious fashion. “We're already doing a lot, but I believe we can do even more," she said. "Sustainability is crucial, but so is longevity. We want to create pieces that last, both in terms of style and durability." Uniqlo's focus on essential, timeless pieces has been refreshing, Waight Keller said. “At Givenchy, I was designing up to 10 collections a year. At Uniqlo, it's two. But the pressure is still there — it's about making sure every piece is perfect. We're creating wardrobe staples that can stand the test of time, and that's where I find the challenge." She added, “Fashion doesn't have to be fleeting. With Uniqlo, I'm designing for everyone, from teenagers experimenting with style to professionals looking for the perfect tailored suit." Her vision is to make high-quality, stylish clothing accessible and inclusive, across all demographics and generations. Men's fashion at Uniqlo is a category she plans to expand. “From the first collection, we had so many men asking when we'd launch menswear. Now, it's here, and the response has been incredible,” she said. As Waight Keller looks ahead, she's excited to build upon Uniqlo's strong foundation, she said. “I've got so much access to the tools I need to push the boundaries," she said. "My goal is to take Uniqlo to the next level, without losing what makes the brand special: quality, accessibility and timeless style."

What would it take to start seeing Indigenous fashion brands held to the same regard as Gucci, Ralph Lauren, and Prada? Lesley Hampton is at the forefront of that question. Leslie Hampton's work as a fashion designer has been making waves across the fashion industry. She's dressed A-listers like Lily Gladstone, and been named Forbes 30 Under 30 and Vogue's No. 1 Canadian designer. In this episode, Leslie unpacks what it means to be a trailblazer in Indigenous Fashion, the inspiration behind her pieces and her style sessions – especially as a body neutrality advocate, and what she means when she says that her designs are for everyone. More about Lesley Hampton: Lesley Hampton is an Anishinaabe artist and fashion designer focused on mental wellness and body neutrality in fashion through the lens of the Indigenous worldview. Lesley is a member of Temagami First Nation, and she identifies as an adult 'Third Culture Kid' with her formative years spent in Canada's Arctic and Atlantic, Australia, England, Indonesia, and New Caledonia. Lauren is joined by Brett Heyman, founder of accessories, home, and cannabis line, Edie Parker. They discuss Brett's past life working in P.R. at Gucci and Dolce & Gabbana, how the industry reacted when she started selling marijuana (legally), and why cottage cheese survives all trend cycles. They also go pretty deep on the technicalities of launching, and maintaining, a cannabis brand in an industry that still very much operates like the Wild West.
