NORRIS BEGINS NAILING THE FINAL NAILS IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP!...PIASTRI LOOSING INTEREST…MAX DRIVER OF THE DAY AND...FERNANDO READY FOR LAS VEGAS. THIS WEEK'S NASIR HAMEED CORNER, WE KEEP IT SIMPLE WITH SOME DUKE OF DIJON AND NASIR BANTER! It was a dominant performance from Lando Norris as he claimed his seventh victory of the year, following up on his victory in the sprint race with another 25 points on Sunday, extending his championship lead to 24 points over Oscar Piastri. Early race incidents would leave Oscar Piastri with a shock penalty and lead to the retirement of Charles Leclerc through no fault of his own. And in unexpected fashion, Max Verstappen would grab fans' attention following his conversion of a pit-lane start all the way to a P3 finish, grabbing a podium on a day many fans would expect his championship shot to slip away from him. None of the top ten were able to get past each other in the initial portion of Lap 1 except Liam Lawson on George Russell, with Lewis Hamilton's Ferrari having the weakest start of any on the grid, dropping four places into 17th. A loss of control from home favorite Gabriel Bortoleto in the Sauber occurred only halfway through the first lap, causing the 21-year-old to hit the barriers, bringing out a safety car and ending his race. The safety car was brought out for the third time in a row at the Brazilian Grand Prix, lasting for three laps and coming in on Lap 4. There was more chaos immediately, as Charles Leclerc, Kimi Antonelli and Oscar Piastri went three abreast at Turn 1 after the Italian struggled to keep up with Lando Norris' pace following the restart. Piastri and Antonelli would collide, sending the Mercedes into Leclerc's Ferrari and causing the Monegasque racer to lose both a tire and incur suspension damage, ending his race prematurely. Unable to continue, Leclerc's Ferrari would pull over and bring out a Virtual Safety Car, with the McLarens of Norris and Piastri leading from the Mercedes of Antonelli and the Racing Bull of Isack Hadjar. Laps 14 and 17 would see ten-second penalties applied for both Yuki Tsunoda and Oscar Piastri, with Tsunoda's given for an incident with Lance Stroll and Piastri's for the aforementioned crash after the safety car restart. Verstappen, who had taken an early pit stop to change from hard tires to mediums, found himself up to seventh by Lap 19 thanks to Hadjar and Pierre Gasly entering the pit lane. Seventh turned into fifth by Lap 21, the Dutchman having gained 15 places in the first third of the race and looking impressive as he looked to restore his championship ambitions. LANDO: “It was an amazing race, and it's nice to win here in Brazil. It's an amazing track with amazing fans. This one was for one of my mentors, Gil, I hope he'd be very proud. “It was a great win, but to be honest, seeing how quick the competition was today, it's clear we've still got work to do. I'll go back, see the team, congratulate them and see what we can do better. Looking ahead, I'll keep focusing on myself, keep my head down, ignore the noise and keep pushing.” MAX: From pitlane to podium, this weekend has completely turned around for me, something that I didn't think was possible. The start of the race was very hectic and I picked up a puncture early on from a load of debris on the track which meant that I pretty much had to start the race again. The Team used the right strategy from start to finish which allowed me to get through all of the traffic very efficiently. I definitely had to send it a few times to get past the other cars but I love doing that and ended up having an unexpectedly fun race. Overall it showed that we had really good pace today and that the grip was much better than the last couple of days. The atmosphere at Interlagos was amazing and it really spurred me on. I am so proud of the Team and would like to thank them for all of the hard work that they put into making the changes post Quali last night. SAO PAULO, BRAZIL - NOVEMBER 09: Race winner Lando Norris of Great Britain and McLaren Second placed Andrea Kimi Antonelli of Italy and Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team Third placed Max Verstappen of the Netherlands and Oracle Red Bull Racing and Mark Norris, Director of Commercial Trackside Operations at McLaren on the podium during the F1 Grand Prix of Brazil at Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace on November 09, 2025 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. (Photo by Mark Thompson/Getty Images) We kept pushing and took multiple risks this weekend because we never want to settle for second and we didn't give up. To start in the pitlane and finish P3 on the podium only 10 seconds off P1 was incredible. Now all we can do is keep fighting hard over the final few races of the season and do the best that we possibly can whilst trying to find as much performance as we can extract from the car. A huge congratulations to Kimi as well, he drove amazingly well which will have given his confidence a huge boost which is great for any rookie!" Alex Albon: It was a good race for the fans today but unfortunately for us it was a bit of a race to forget. We had good pace when we could show it. We've struggled with pace all weekend but seem to have recovered a little bit today. In the end what took us out of contention for points was that I think we stayed out too long on the first stint and we never really recovered from there. In the last stint we were quick and were fighting our way back up the grid and just missed out on a point at the end. It's frustrating that our rivals scored points today, but we will regroup and look forward to a better weekend in Las Vegas. Carlos Sainz: Not the day I was hoping for. Once I got squeezed on turn 1, I had considerable damage to the car and my race was compromised from there. We managed to stay in the hunt for points most of the race but after a slow first stop and compiled with the damage, that was it unfortunately. Time to go back home and see what we can do in these types of circuits, as Qatar will also be a challenge. A few races to go, so we cannot relax. Let's keep going.
Welcome to the carnival of F1! Ted, Karun and Craig are in the Paddock to look ahead to this weekend's Sao Paulo Grand Prix....not the Brazilian Grand Prix! With the gap now just one point between the two McLarens, we discuss how both drivers could be feeling heading into this critical weekend.Arguably, it's a bigger weekend for Max Verstappen in his title bid and we round up what he's been saying to the media today.Plus, could George Russell have a say in where the Championship ends up and, after impressing in Mexico, will Oliver Bearman remain a faithful at Haas? The championship fight is heating up as F1 heads to the high-altitude chaos of Mexico City! Max Verstappen is closing in on both McLarens, while Oscar Piastri's on a 4-race slump that's starting to raise eyebrows. Will the thin air give McLaren and Ferrari enough punch to fight back—or is Red Bull about to dominate south of the border? We're breaking down the altitude advantage, the fiesta energy that makes this race one of the wildest weekends on the F1 calendar, and what to expect when the lights go out at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez.
An absolute clinic from Max Verstappen on the fastest race in F1 history at 1 Hr and 13 mins ! He dominated with a blistering pole and was able to maintain an amazing pace during the race without making a mistake. The Mclarens who finished 2nd and 3rd were mixed up in a strategy controversy when Lando had a slow pit stop and the drivers were told to switch positions. The strategy team decided it was best to keep the peace and switched the positions around. We hear in the podcast from Mclaren race leadership Andrea regarding the matter.

Simon is joined by 1997 world champion Jacques Villeneuve, former Red Bull mechanic Calum Nicholas and Craig Slater to discuss the Dutch Grand Prix. We get into the ongoing Championship battle between the McLarens, Ferraris struggles before Monza and the man of the moment Isack Hadjar after his stunning podium.
Most people are ‘driving McLarens' while ‘insured like Corollas.' In this foundational episode, Hans and Brian revisit one of their core concepts: human life value versus needs-based analysis when it comes to life insurance planning. If you're a military officer with just SGLI coverage, or anyone who thinks $500,000 is "a big check" for life insurance, this episode will fundamentally shift how you think about protecting your family's financial future. The math is sobering, but the solution is clear.Using real calculations, the hosts demonstrate why the traditional "needs analysis" approach to life insurance leaves families exposed to millions in lost income. When your economic value over a working lifetime exceeds $4-6 million, leaving your family with enough to "pay off the mortgage" isn't protection – it's a dereliction of duty. The $6 Million Gap: What You're Really WorthBrian walks through Truth Concepts software to illustrate a 40-year-old earning $150,000 annually. The shocking result: this person needs $4 million just to maintain their family's current lifestyle if they die tomorrow, and over $6 million when accounting for normal salary increases. Yet most people in this situation (military clients, at least) have just $500,000 in SGLI coverage. Why Needs Analysis Gets It WrongThe insurance industry has been improperly trained to focus on "needs" instead of true economic value. As Bob Castiglione writes: "No beneficiary, given the choice, would want only an amount of insurance that they supposedly need rather than the true value of the insured person who died."The Asset You're Not InsuringYou insure your car to full value. You insure your home to full value. But your greatest asset – your ability to produce income – is dramatically underinsured. Hans breaks down why this thinking is backwards, especially when you're guaranteed to "total" this asset eventually. How Whole Life Insurance Bridges the GapThe hosts explain how dividend-paying whole life insurance grows over time, eventually providing more death benefit than insurance companies would initially write on you. This creates a crossing point where your coverage approaches your true economic value as you age.➡️ Chapters: 00:00 - The dereliction of duty: Leaving families exposed 01:10 - Welcome back: Revisiting human life value concepts02:30 - Two approaches: Needs analysis vs. human life value 04:05 - Why we focus on fathers in our examples 06:20 - Economic life value: The better term 09:15 - Truth Concepts calculation: The $6 million reality 14:35 - Why earnings increases matter in the calculation 17:25 - SGLI exposure: Millions in lost income 24:20 - The mortgage payment fallacy 27:20 - Bob Castiglione on proper insurance thinking 30:15 - Why whole life is an asset, not an expense 32:15 - The McLaren vs. Corolla insurance analogy 34:00 - Solomon Ebner on economic forces in human value 35:20 - Questions every father should ask himselfKey Questions for Reflection:If you don't wake up tomorrow, can your wife continue staying home with the kids? Will your children maintain their quality of life? How much insurance would you want if you knew you'd die tomorrow?Got Questions? Oscar Piastri has lost two race wins to Lando Norris purely on luck! First, Silverstone, and second was today in Hungary. We predicted this "race strategy situation" in our race preview. The second McLaren (Norris, in this case) on the road would get the favoured tyre strategy in the race while the first McLaren (Piastri, in this case) would go chase Charles Leclerc for the race win. Was McLaren fair with their drivers who are the only two contenders for the Drivers' Championship in 2025? Did McLaren favour one driver or the other in the 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix? Or did they maximise the team's result of a 1-2 finish irrespective of which driver finished first? And finally, was Norris a lucky winner of the Hungarian Grand Prix, a race where was the "slower" of the two McLarens and was in fact overtaken by two other cars (George Russell & Fernando Alonso) at the race start? Btw, Norris was very lucky that Alonso chose to not battle with him when the DRS was enabled. Why? Alonso, who was also on the one-stop, was the thorn in everyone else's race strategy. He executed a "Monaco-style" strategy at the Hungaroring (also known as "Monaco without the walls"). He bunched up the field and messed up tyre strategy for the other midfielders. Fair play to Aston Martin & Alonso who scored the team's best result of the season and maximised their points to jump two spots in the Constructors' Championship. Finally, Charles Leclerc revealed that the mysterious issue that he faced in the race wasn't the "front wing" adjustment at his pit stop, but in fact, an issue with his chassis that compromised his pace. Leclerc continued to not add to his already embarrassing "pole to win" conversion rate in Formula 1. Lewis Hamilton, on the other hand, had another race to forget. He was one of those who was done in by Alonso's "slow pace" to finish 5th strategy. Sauber's Gabriel Bortoleto impressed throughout the weekend and was the "Driver of the Day". As the summer break looms upon us, the question is whether Lando Norris will be comfortable knowing that he's brought the gap down to just 9 points, or whether he will know at the back of his head that Oscar Piastri would've actually been further ahead in the title battle if he was a tad bit luckier in two races - Silverstone and Hungary. Soumil Arora and Kunal Shah discuss the 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix and how it all played out in strategy. #F1 #F12025 #HungarianGP Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Charles Leclerc grabbed a surprise pole position, his first of the 2025 Formula season, at the Hungaroring. But does he have the pace to win the 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix against the mighty McLarens? On the contrary, does McLaren have a pace advantage that allows them to overtake Leclerc around a circuit that's famously known as "Monaco without the walls". How did McLaren lose their competitive advantage in the qualifying hour? What transpired in Q3 that brought Leclerc & Ferrari into play? And of course, why did Lewis Hamilton say he's "useless" and that Ferrari need a change in driver? Red Bull Racing's Max Verstappen's magic saw him in Q3, but qualify behind a Sauber! Gabriel Bortoleto continued to impress with yet another Q3 session, while his team-mate and "Mr. Saturday" Nico Hulkenberg is now tied with Lance Stroll with the maximum Q1 exits in 2025. Is Aston Martin's pace for real, and if so, where did it come from? A double points finish in the race will propel them in tight the Constructors' Championship battle. Soumil Arora and Kunal Shah discuss the Qualifying session from the 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix and look forward to the race & tyre strategy options for Sunday's race. #F1 #F12025 #HungarianGP Learn more about your ad choices.
