How much hope is there for Terps fans? Can Jim Smith right the ship? And will the new proposed bill restore sanity to college sports? Paul, Jeff and Tony break it all down on the latest IMS Radio.

Newt talks with John Tillman, CEO of the American Culture Project, about his new book, “The Political Vise: How the Radical Left Controls America and the Path to Regaining Our Liberty.” They discuss how the “radical left” wields power in America and how conservatives should respond. Tillman argues that the left outperforms the right in emotional storytelling, especially on economic issues like gas prices, and contend that conservatives must connect policy to everyday experiences to win public sentiment. Tillman introduces his “political vise” framework, describing politics as a pressurized system in which media pressure from the left, people pressure from the right, and elite influencers, especially government unions, trial lawyers, and nonprofits dependent on government funding, squeeze political decision-makers. Their conversation also examines why Republicans struggle to recruit and retain strong candidates. Tillman argues that people on the right are more drawn to business than politics, that some politicians adopt policy agendas mainly to advance their careers, and that the culture of Washington often pulls conservatives leftward through constituent and donor pressures.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

JB White closes out the Alexander Muse deep dive on Scott Bessent's dollar swap line doctrine and delivers the five-point grand strategy summary that ties the whole thing together: patient, profitable, protective of the American taxpayer, requiring no troops, and built to make alternative payment systems structurally irrelevant. He also shares an Indian geopolitical chart framing America as the clear dominant power, China as an aspiring power in decline, and argues the UAE has quietly outmaneuvered MBS with a smarter regional alliance. The Supreme Court's race-based redistricting ruling gets a sharp breakdown through John Tillman's lens: sixty years of guaranteed seats in the safest minority Democratic districts produced the worst schools, the highest murder rates, and zero competitive accountability. JB also floats a Trumpian theory about King Charles and Parliament that nobody else is talking about.

There is a Hall of Fame for just about everything in this country. But where is the Hall of Fame celebrating the inventors, the creators, the entrepreneurs that have made America so great? Well, there isn't one yet. However, the great social entrepreneur John Tillman is working on a $350 million project aimed at building a hall of fame for entrepreneurship and American innovation, which he is calling the Hall of Giants. John joins Giving Ventures to share his vision and provide a peek at the special soft launch it has coming up on the mall later this summer. John is the chairman and former CEO of the Illinois Policy Institute. He's also been founding or reviving other organizations from Center Square, Bearing Tree, Iron Light. And before all that, he was a business entrepreneur himself.
Steve Moore engages in a spirited critique of modern urban governance while celebrating the virtues of free-market enterprise. Through a conversation with scholar John Tillman, the dialogue contrasts the perceived incompetence of socialist-leaning politicians in cities like Chicago and New York with the historical success of leaders who embraced individual freedom and capitalism. A significant portion of the discussion focuses on Tillman's upcoming book and his new initiative, the Hall of Giants, which seeks to honor American entrepreneurs as the true heroes who built the nation.
