Trump did not have success with Hispanic voters because of “anything conservatives did,” but rather “things that the Left has done,” according to Mike Gonzalez, author of “A Race for the Future: How Conservatives Can Break the Liberal Monopoly on Hispanic Americans.”  The “Left has actually done 95% of it of the work” of driving Hispanics to the Republican Party “by going crazy, completely crazy over woke issues that are completely rejected by Hispanics,” he said.  Gonzalez, who serves as a senior fellow at The Heritage Foundation, joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to discuss the central issues that drove Hispanic voters across the aisle to Trump.

Their concerns about the high cost of living and rising crime have them trending toward former President Donald Trump, which could make them the deciding factor in the 2024 presidential election. Gabriel Nadales, national director of Our America, spoke with The Daily Signal about these surprising developments—and shared first-hand accounts of why voters are switching sides. Not likely. On Sunday, Politico's Playbook argued that Harris is “still largely avoiding the media.” They continue: “Most of these are not the types of interviews that are going to press her on issues she may not want to talk about, even as voters want more specifics from Harris. Hazelton, Pennsylvania is more than 60% Hispanic. In 2012, Democrats won it narrowly—it's now a double-digit Trump place. Allentown has come down 10 points in its margin for Democrats." 4:30pm- The Truth About Amber Thurman's Death. Nicholas Tomaino of The Wall Street Journal investigates the death of 28-year-old Amber Thurman in Georgia—a tragic death Kamala Harris and Tim Walz have falsely blamed on restrictive Georgia abortion laws. Tomaino finds: The law, which Gov. Brian Kemp signed in 2019 and a state judge in Atlanta enjoined last week, defines abortion as an act intended to ‘cause the death of an unborn child' when a “detectable human heartbeat” is present. Thurman's unborn children were, it seems, already dead. Even if they hadn't been, however, the law allows for immediate treatment ‘when a physician determines, in reasonable medical judgment, that a medical emergency exists' or that the ‘pregnancy is medically futile.' Contrary to Ms. Harris's claim, no abortion statute in the country requires doctors to ‘wait until the patient is at death's door' to intervene…Medicare's rating of Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge, where Thurman died, gives it two out of five stars and reports that only 41% of patients with severe sepsis or septic shock received appropriate care.' The numbers highlight an overarching pattern of dwindling support for Biden, impacting several other pivotal demographic groups, notably younger voters. According to the survey, Trump has managed to pull ahead within the voter sector aged under 35, acquiring 37% of their support.
