We've probably all had times when life felt so challenging or frightening, or our anxious thoughts too strong, that we struggled to find the words to pray. During those moments, many find it helpful to use prompts or prayer guides. God has provided numerous examples throughout Scripture we can use to direct, deepen, and revitalize our prayer life. These prayers provide additional benefit as well in that they can help us better understand the historical events in which these prayers were offered while revealing a glimpse of God's heart. Join Jennifer Slattery and Kelly Cambell in their conversation with Cricket Keeth, author of the Bible study titled "Before the Throne" to hear about two powerful prayers discussed in her latest Bible study and how such prayers can decrease our anxiety and increase our faith and intimacy with Christ.Find Cricket Keeth at:https://www.crickettkeeth.com/teaching/https://www.facebook.com/janene.keethhttps://www.instagram.com/jkeeth52/Resource mentioned: Before the Throne: Finding Strength Through Prayer in Difficult Times: https://amzn.to/3e30xRwJennifer Slattery at:https://jenniferslatterylivesoutloud.com/https://www.facebook.com/jen.pheobus/https://www.instagram.com/slatteryjennifer/Find Kelly Campbell at:https://whollyloved.com/meet-the-team/Find Wholly Loved, at:https://www.WhollyLoved.comFind out about Wholly Loved's online groups at:https://whollyloved.com/resources/online-studies/Join the private Faith Over Fear Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/442736966614671Group Discussion Questions:1.What resonated with you most in today's episode? 2.Do you have favorite prayers in Scripture? From an early age Kory Keeth knew he wanted to announce rodeos and fortunately, had the gift of gab. After graduating high school, he set out to pursue his dream at North Eastern Oklahoma A&M. His announcing career started in the fall of 2012 at the age of 19 announcing every calf roping and team roping jack pot there at the college. He then went on to announce the 2013 Southwestern Oklahoma State University rodeo which officially kicked off his career which led the way for two more college rodeos in the central plains region, including Kansas State and Fort Hays, which he still announces today. From there Kory has spent the last few years announcing a variety of events such as:- RFDTV's The American-Cowboy Channel JR NFR - Ellensburg Rodeo- Las Vegas Days Rodeo- Catfish Stampede- Dacotah Bank Stampede- The American Royal In 2017 Kory began his PRCA announcing career and has spent the last year traveling the country gaining as much experience as possible. Kory takes pride in being sure he knows as much as possible about every contestant. On top of his announcing career, he has a beef cow/calf operation in Southwest Missouri and raises high quality commercial heifers. Kory is also heavily involved in ministry and speaks at many different events throughout the year, as well as plays music and leads worship at cowboy church services all across the country. “I love the lifestyle, the people, and I love telling the great fans all about who we are as Cowboys and Cowgirls” -Kory

At the young age of 11, Keeth Smart was fencing for fun. He also played tennis and many team sports like most children his age. However, unlike everyone else, Keeth had some serious fencing skills and very forward thinking parents that signed him up for lessons at the Peter Westbrook Foundation. By the time he knew it, he was on track for a college scholarship. He got that scholarship and later became the 1st U.S. Fencer to Rank #1 in the world, a 3x Olympian, and Olympic Silver Medalist in 2008 at age 30. He went on to get his MBA at Columbia Business School, co-founded a Fitness Technology Company, Phsyiclo, and is now Regional General Manager at Chelsea Piers Fitness. Keeth and Marni talk about where his athletic journey began, how being athletic and involved in sports set him up for success, his career and next steps at Chelsea Piers Fitness, and the workouts that fuel him for success. Follow us on social @chelseapiersfitness @KeethSmart, @Marnionthemove and meet Keeth Smart at our upcoming January 19 live podcast series and mobile summit at Chelsea Piers Fitness Brooklyn. We hope you enjoy todays episode. Leave us a five-star review in Apple Podcasts and support the show. Thank you and Happy New Year
Keeth Smart is a saber fencer who achieved a lot of success on the fencing strip. He qualified for three Olympics, placing 30th in 2000, 15th in individual and 4th in the team event in 2004, 6th in individual in 2008. He also won the silver medal in the team event that year, after serving as the anchor. In 2002 and 2004, Keeth won the US National Sabre Championship. Perhaps greatest of all, in 2003, he became the first American to be named the top-ranked fencer internationally. He was elected to the US Fencing Hall of Fame in 2014. You can still find Keeth involved in our sport. He coaches at the Peter Westbrook Foundation and serves on their Board. But he’s also involved in the world of business. After an internship at Google, several managerial positions at Verizon and Bank of America, Keeth decided to start his own business, Physiclo, in 2014. He and his team created and now produce high quality compression gear with built in resistance for a more productive workout. Physiclo has received great reviews from publications such as Men’s Health, the Gloss, and Engadget, as well as rave reviews from athletes of many kinds of sport. You can check out the gear on their website www.physiclo.com, on Instagram, and also on Facebook. Listen now to the interview I did with Keeth Smart, fencer and businessman extraordinaire. Also a super nice guy! Note: This one unfortunately turned out a little "buzzy" for Keeth's side of the interview. Working to improve that!
