The Mets and Yankees had recent afternoon games, making it feel like a long break. C-Lo returned for his update, finding they don't know his kids' names. Kenny Albert reported on a Knicks-Pistons scuffle. At the Masters, Justin Thomas cursed after a bad shot, and Al questioned the free Masters app's extensive live coverage. The Yankees beat the Rays and Verdugo had such a good day that Suzyn was barking. The Yankees presented John Sterling with an 83” TV. The Mets won another series, but they lost in L.A. yesterday. Game 2 of the Knicks/Sixers is tonight and Jalen Brunson talked about having to play better. Jerry went around the NBA playoffs yesterday. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about Boomer's trip to Canada.  Hour 2 Knicks fans took to the streets to celebrate their win over the Sixers on Saturday night. We are starting an amazing sports week with the Knicks, Rangers, Islanders and the NFL draft on Thursday. Antonio Brown claims Justin Herbert is going to be traded to the Vikings. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds from yesterday's Rangers win over the Capitals. The Yankees beat the Rays yesterday after getting shut out Saturday. Yankees fans booed Aaron Judge after 4 strikeouts Saturday. John Sterling said he retired because of the commute. A foul ball hit Pat McCarthy in the booth at the Mets game. The Mets lost 10-0 yesterday but took the series from the Dodgers. Jerry went around the NBA playoffs. Patrick Roy talked about the Islanders dropping game 1 to the Hurricanes. The Yankees beat the Rays 5-4 as Alex Verdugo had a big day. The Mets lost 10-0 but took the series from the Dodgers. Jerry went around the NBA playoffs. In the final segment of the hour, we heard from our caller from last week who was bringing his third date to the Rangers playoff game. He said he is the newly elected mayor of ‘pound town'. Boomer has the Larry Johnson 4-point play ball, but Boomer needed to get it signed by Larry in order to auction it off. Boomer asked Wally to take the ball and get it signed when he saw Larry. The ball is now lost and it's Wally's fault.  Hour 4 We reached out to Wally but he did not want to go on air to talk about losing the Larry Johnson 4-point ball. Luckily Boomer did get the ball insured before it was lost. Jerry returns for his final update of the day and starts with a preview of Knicks/Sixers tonight. The Moment of The Day involves an update to the guy who was bringing a third date to the Rangers playoff game. In the final segment of the show, Gio may get to meet Dua Lipa this week.

Hour 1 Boomer is still not feeling great but he's taking his meds and eating Buckly cough drops that taste like you're eating Vicks VapoRub. Boomer was texting Wally Szczerbiak throughout the Knicks game last night. They beat the Nets no problem. Mitchell Robinson is now out for the season in what Gio is calling ‘the first unsuccessful surgery'. Fat Perez reacted to Boomer calling him fat. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and has clips from Fat Perez saying Boomer thinks he's fat. Jerry has audio from the Knicks win over the Nets. Rob Saleh appreciates Aaron Rodgers backing him to the media. Tommy DeVito talked about smoothing things over with the pizza place in Morristown. In the final segment of the hour, Gio watches 3 things during the week: YouTube golf, Hard Knocks and 1,000 Pound Sisters. This week on Hard Knocks, Mike McDaniel was in his office at 4am, blasting Eminem, going through film. Gio thinks McDaniel is the most fascinating guy in the NFL. He tried to sell his wife on it but she wasn't interested.  Hour 2 Today is the shortest day of the year. Tonight the Saints play the Rams in Los Angeles. The Rams are in a competitive rebuild and are currently a Wild Card team. Boomer credits Baker Mayfield for having the Bucs in first place. We looked ahead at this week's key games on the NFL schedule with playoff spots on the line. The Giants point differential is crazy this year. Most of the top teams right now have their starting quarterback. Gio said the Cleveland Browns with Joe Flacco would be a great story to go to the Super Bowl. Jerry returns for an update but first we talked about the year in review CBS Sports Network did. Gio thought it was a great year which now makes him think next year will not be as good. Jerry has audio of the Knicks beating the Nets 121-102. Rob Saleh talked about activating Aaron Rodgers and why they did that even though he will not play. Brian Daboll talked about how good the Eagles are even though they lost 3 straight. Mike McDaniel talked about the ‘trash plan' he had in the game against the Titans. Mike Tomlin talked about George Pickens and the way he's dealing with the media. Butch Goring rejects Paul Bissonnette's olive branch. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer is impressed with the company's medicine cabinet. A caller wonders if OJ will have a presence at the Super Bowl if the Bills get there. Boomer tells the story of being invited to OJ's house for dinner (before the murders). A photo of Boomer with OJ was also used as evidence in the trial. Would we have OJ on the show during Super Bowl week?  Hour 3 Angel Cabrera is cleared to return to the PGA Tour after prison. He did win a Masters so Gio wonders if he will be invited back. Boomer doesn't think he will be invited back. Cameron Diaz thinks it's a good idea for married couples to have separate rooms or maybe even separate houses. Jerry is here for an update and starts with the Knicks beating the Nets 121-102. We heard a clip of John Minko as St. John's beat Xavier. Chris Russo had some thoughts on Christmas. Rob Saleh was asked about Zach Wilson and concussion protocol. Tommy DeVito talked about playing on the road in Philadelphia. He said he likes a hostile crowd. There was a brawl on Sunrise Highway after a car accident. Mike McDaniel talked about playing Eminem in prepping for games. In the final segment of the hour, Matt Shor, Nate Burleson's eyeglasses guy, is in the studio to talk about Phil Simms' lady glasses. He said Phil had the biggest head he has ever fitted.  Hour 4 It seems like we are not going to get a Yamamoto decision until after the New Year. Gio still doesn't think the Mets will get him. MLB free agency is infuriating with how long it takes for a decision to be made. Every insider besides Jeff Passan is just throwing every take out there. A caller wonders how MLB let the Dodgers defer the overwhelming majority of Ohtani's contract. A caller wonders why nobody wants to sign Trevor Bauer even though his name was cleared. Gio thinks teams don't want the negativity around the signing even if he was cleared. A caller still can't believe Peter Schwartz didn't know what veal was. Peter is a simple man and Gio is jealous of that. Boomer said Peter is an optimist and Jerry is a pessimist. Jerry is here for his final update and he starts with the Knicks beating the Nets in Brooklyn. Rob Saleh thinks Aaron Rodgers will play even more than 2 or 3 more years. Tommy DeVito talked about how big it would be to go into Philadelphia and win. The Moment of The Day involves Nate Burleson's glasses guys and Phil Simms' lady glasses. In the final segment of the show, the Jeffrey Epstein client list is set to be released early next month according to a judge's ruling.

Hour 1 We started with the report from the Athletic and Diana Russini saying the Jets wanted to start Zach Wilson at QB this week but he told them he's reluctant to play because he doesn't want to get hurt. Then Rob Saleh held a press conference saying that Zach said he wants the ball and wants to play this weekend. Saleh also said he's not yet ready to make a decision on who will start at QB. Then Joe Benigno went on with Evan & Tiki and revealed ridiculous text messages he sent to Saleh that Saleh then responded to. Boomer wonders who is leaking this information to reporters. Boomer said it was unprofessional for Joe to read those texts on the air, but he also can't believe Saleh gives Joe the information. Gio thinks there's a pretty good chance Joe misinterpreted one of the texts. Jake Browning put on an incredible performance for the Bengals last night in an overtime win in Jacksonville. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and has all the audio from Rob Saleh talking about rumors that Zach Wilson didn't want to play anymore this season. Jerry also has audio of Joe B on with Evan and Tiki talking about his text messages to Rob Saleh. Boomer is flabbergasted that Joe B is on the air misinterpreting text messages. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about Aaron Rodgers talking to Zach Wilson and telling him to play when the Jets ask him to play. Boomer said it's embarrassing if you're a player on the Jets and you hear your coach is texting with some ‘bozo' about the team.  Hour 2 Gio said if he were Aaron Rodgers he would ask Rob Saleh if he's going to text Joe Benigno if he throws 3 picks in a game? How can Rodgers trust him at this point? Gio compared Boomer & Frank Reich's relationship to Benigno and Saleh. Gio said if you are making a pros and cons list for keeping Rob Saleh, what would you put in the pro column? Gio said he wouldn't tell Joe anything in private because he can't help telling other people. Boomer thinks this Benigno stuff is going to ‘do in' Rob Saleh. Jerry is here for his update but first Joe Benigno called in to defend himself. He said he misinterpreted a text where he thought Rob Saleh didn't like Zach Wilson. Jerry has audio from Saleh's press conference about Zach yesterday. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about the decorations in the studio and Doug in East Islip sent a large hat with the B&G logo Hour 3 Aaron Rodgers will be on with Pat McAfee today, so it never ends with the Jets being in the news. We took more calls reacting to Joe Benigno's relationship with Rob Saleh. A caller is worried about the integrity of the radio station because of Joe B. Another caller thinks texting is easy to misinterpret. Tiki Barber couldn't handle the ‘puss move' by Zach Wilson and said, ‘cut his ass today'. Jerry is here for another update but first Peter Schwartz does not want to wear a wrestling singlet when he does Schwartzy the snowman. We talked about Jerry getting a full time play-by-play job and also talked about Kenny Albert doing a hockey game one night, a basketball game another and an NFL game after that. Shannon Sharpe and Ochocinco debated Zach Wilson not wanting to play QB again for the Jets. Was there a fart in the Lightning locker room during an interview? Yes, yes there was. In the final segment of the hour, Jake Browning put on a brilliant performance for the Bengals last night in their overtime win in Jacksonville. The Jets can ruin the Texans season if they can somehow beat them this Sunday. Greg Olsen is interested in the Carolina Panthers Head Coaching job. How he thinks he's going to do that without ever coaching in any aspect is beyond me. There is no way the owner, David Tepper, would do that.  Hour 4 Wally Szczerbiak backed out of Boomer & Gio Live to challenge Al to a free throw shooting contest. Hofstra Head Basketball Coach Speedy Claxton calls in to challenge Al instead. Al had no idea he played in the NBA. Jerry is here for his final update of the day and starts with audio of Rob Saleh responding to the report that Zach Wilson doesn't want to play anymore this season. Saleh said Zach ‘wants the ball' but he hasn't made a decision yet on who's starting Sunday. The Bengals beat the Jags in OT behind the great QB play of Jake Browning. The Manningcast with Kay Adams as a guest reacted to the Bengals having wide receivers throwing passes. Tua was also on and played guitar as Peyton tried to sing. Bill Belichick was on with WEEI and was asked about Rex Ryan bad mouthing the ‘Patriot way'. The Moment of The Day involved Gio's impression of Joe Benigno misinterpreting text messages. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about how things in the city that went away are back in full force: squeegee guys, fake purses.

Hour 1: The Mets swept the Phillies and the Mets TV broadcast booth said Max Scherzer is back. The Mets have suppressed their hump celebration in recent games. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with Mark Canha hitting another HR for the Mets as they swept the Phillies. Boomer is thrown off by Jerry's neck hair. Max Scherzer pitched well and talked about Canha's performance. The Nuggets beat the Heat in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. Nikola Jokic had a triple double. Stephen A. Smith has never tasted breast milk but he likes breasts. This in reaction to Josh Hart of the Knicks asking if anybody has tried breast milk. Jerry had lots of clips of Smith talking about breasts. Tom Brady told Sports Illustrated he is not coming back to play and he's sick of answering the question. Patrick Kane is getting hip resurfacing, whatever that is. In the final segment of the hour, Adam Silver said he will announce the Ja Morant punishment after the NBA Finals are completed. He said ‘we've uncovered a fair amount of additional information'. Is this additional good information or bad information?  Hour 2: Boomer's got a hot take that he's taking out of the oven. The Mets would have to give up a ton, and that doesn't make sense unless they are guaranteed to get him beyond this season. He is going to be the highest paid player in pro sports. The Phillies announcers thought Francisco Lindor was showing them up when he essentially bounced a ball to first base to complete an easy double play. Do you guys floss everyday? It was almost like the Knicks were happy to just win one in Cleveland. The Knicks cannot allow Donovan Mitchell to become Reggie Miller or Trae Young. A caller can't believe Devils fans left the game early when they were down 5-1. If the Islanders win the cup, where will the parade be? Gio said it would be the Canyon of Heroes. Boomer said no way, they are a Long Island team. What about the Devils? Jerry returns for an update but first Boomer says Bryce Young looks like he's going to go first in the draft to the Panthers. Jerry has audio of Peyton Manning singing with Jordan Davis. Jerry thinks it sounds good, but it's terrible. Damar Hamlin has been cleared for all football activities.
