JB Has Been Touched By God

JB finally gets the comeback fans have been waiting for, and one longtime radio staple proves he can still pull off a ridiculous superpower: identifying cars by horn alone. If you love Austin nostalgia, fast laughs, and the kind of live radio chaos that actually feels alive, this one's built for you.Sandy, JB, and Tricia kick things off with the day's Minute to Win It answers, then slide into the stuff that makes their show feel like a local hangout - eyebrow maintenance wars, a legendary family goatee, and Tricia's priceless reaction to a “cow bras” joke that lands just weird enough to work. From there, Care Don't Care delivers the kind of offbeat headlines that turn into full-blown bits, including Austin landing at the top of a list nobody expected and a carnival scam so brazen it earns a new nickname: the old razzle dazzle. You'll discover:Why Austin has the cheapest cheeseburger combo in the country, and why that still feels expensiveHow a rigged carnival game managed to soak one player for $650How Gen Z has repurposed “LARPing” into a perfect insult for fake behavior onlineWhy the return of Katz's Deli downtown hits so hard for Austin localsThen the show pivots into pure listener participation as JB takes on his long-dormant car-by-horn challenge, and somehow nails Lexus after Lexus before calling out a Mercedes like he never stopped. If you've ever wondered whether a bit from a morning show can still shock the room years later, this is the proof. It all lands with comedy legend Jim Gaffigan on hotel indoor pools, plus a feel-good shout-out to retired Navy instructors on the first day of school. Perfect for anyone who misses old Austin, loves live local radio, or just wants 30-plus minutes of smart, silly, unmistakably human entertainment.

A senior's first solo drive, a dog with the cone of shame, and a wildly unnecessary amount of confidence in one man's horn-honking skills - JB and Sandy turn a morning show into a hilarious, oddly heartfelt ride.If you need a laugh, a little parent anxiety, and a reminder that some milestones hit harder than others, this one delivers. Sandy, JB, and Tricia trade stories about Sandy and Tricia's daughter Landry's first drive to school, the emotional spiral of senior year, and the kind of dad behavior that kicks in when your daughter suddenly needs car washes, gas, and emotional support on demand. You'll also hear the trio go off on everything from a classic Napoleon Dynamite Letterman clip to Boerne Little League's path to the Little League World Series, including the age controversy that sent the whole thing to court. And if you're into pop-culture moments, there is a fun detour into surprise celebrity appearances, from Ella Langley in St. Thomas to artists like Train and Bon Jovi showing up unannounced to sing with fans. Then Sandy reveals the behind-the-scenes obsession that's got everyone teasing him: vibe coding and AI automation. He explains how he's using AI to build practical tools, like organizing photos and automating everyday tasks, while JB and Tricia roast him for sounding a little too much like a coder with no coding background at all. Perfect for listeners who love local radio chemistry, funny family stories, and a few genuinely useful takeaways buried inside the chaos. It is smart, silly, and full of the kind of banter that makes you feel like you're hanging out in the room.

What if one of the most powerful ways to grow your practice wasn't ads, social media, or cold outreach—but simply having conversations? In this episode of the Uncaged Clinician Podcast, host David Bayliff sits down with physical therapist and entrepreneur Dr. Jeremy Sutton to talk about an unconventional marketing strategy that's driving real results in his business: launching a local podcast to build relationships and attract patients. Jeremy shares the story behind his concierge mobile physical therapy practice in Shreveport–Bossier City, Louisiana, and how interviewing local business owners, physicians, and community leaders has helped him generate nearly 40% of his clients. But this episode goes far beyond podcasting tactics. It's a conversation about service, resilience, and the power of showing up for people. Jeremy opens up about failing in his first business, filing bankruptcy, and the lessons that shaped the way he approaches entrepreneurship today. From there, he explains how creating meaningful connections in the community—and simply doing what you say you're going to do—can transform both your business and your impact. You'll also hear practical insights on how to start a relationship-driven marketing strategy, why referrals don't have to come only from physicians, and how creating great experiences for people naturally leads to growth. If you're a clinician who feels stuck, uncertain about marketing, or wondering how to build a thriving practice without relying on insurance systems, this episode will challenge and encourage you. Jeremy's story is proof that you don't need fancy equipment, big budgets, or perfect circumstances to succeed—you just need to start, serve people well, and keep moving forward. In this episode, you'll learn: • How a simple local podcast can become a powerful referral engine • Why relationship-based marketing works better than transactional outreach • How Jeremy generated nearly 40% of his clients through podcast connections • The importance of service, consistency, and doing what you promise • Why fear and uncertainty shouldn't stop you from taking action • How failure can become the foundation for your next success Whether you're building a cash-based practice, exploring entrepreneurship, or simply looking for better ways to connect with your community, this episode is packed with practical wisdom and inspiration. Be sure to subscribe to the Uncaged Clinician Podcast and share this episode with a clinician or entrepreneur who could benefit from hearing Jeremy's story.

This week, on the Northeast Newscast, we sit down with President and Security Lead Jon Cokely and Green Spaces Steward Whitney Barnardo from the Pendleton Heights Neighborhood Association. Pendleton Heights, one of Kansas City's oldest communities, dates back to the late 1880s. Initially settled by affluent families seeking respite from city life, it's now a vibrant neighborhood with rich history and Victorian-era homes. Designated a National Register Historic District, it's recognized for its preservation efforts and was even named one of the Best Old House Neighborhoods in the U.S. by This Old House magazine in 2013.Bound by The Paseo, Cliff Drive, Chestnut Trafficway, and Independence Boulevard, Pendleton Heights features Kansas City's first boulevard, three city parks, and a scenic byway. It's also home to a community garden, orchards, and a pocket park maintained by residents. Recent developments include new homes with property tax abatements and trendy coffee shops. The forthcoming Reservoir promises to be a unique food and entertainment venue. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy championship-level disc golf courses amid the picturesque Kessler Park. The neighborhood's active community organization fosters diversity and is fostering an arts enclave.
