Jerry brings us the Jets GM talking trades - Joe Benigno's over the moon about 'em. And Jerry Jones? He just wants one more ring before time runs out.
Jerry wraps up the day with the Lions crushing the Bucs, allowing just 9 points. Aaron Glenn still hasn't named the QB for Cincinnati, and Brian Daboll has no updates on coaching changes. The Moment of the Day? A caller wonders how Joe Benigno would react if the Jets hired an AI as their head coach — chaos imagined!
Joe Benigno is pushing for a 40-minute sitdown with Woody Johnson as Jets drama simmers. Meanwhile, baseball fever is soaring — the Blue Jays punch their ticket to the World Series thanks to George Springer's clutch home run! And in hockey, the Rangers may have lost, but at least they found the back of the net at home.
Gio slammed the Jets' 2025 mess, Boomer defended Campbell and Payton, and a London loss got roasted. Jerry recapped Bears' FG win and Falcons' blowout, while Benigno wants a Jets break, Roberts dreams of Shedeur Sanders, and Tomlin can't believe the Browns' Flacco trade. Belichick shut down buyout talk, and Aaron Glenn's rocky first season got dissected.
Sports Radio Personality Joe Benigno calls in to touch upon various topics ranging from sports to politics. The discussion touches upon Benigno's dislike for the Yankees and his views on the Mets and Jets, highlighting the latter as an embarrassment in professional sports. They also delve into Benigno's disappointment with the Rangers and raise concerns about the Knicks' potential. On the political front, they bring attention to Mike Johnson's mention of Rosenberg on Fox News, and the upcoming gubernatorial debate between Jack Ciattarelli and Mikie Sherrill. The show was wall-to-wall Yankees angst as the Bombers sit on the brink, Boone's bullpen moves under fire and the bats going dead when it mattered most. Boomer & Gio tried to pump optimism with lefties in the lineup and visions of a Bronx breakout, while Gio admitted it all feels like “here we go again.” Along the way we got Benigno raging at everyone from Stearns to Sauce, Jerry Jones rising “like Dracula,” a caller crowning Eddie the only true Mets fan, and Rex Ryan trading insults with Shedeur Sanders' mom. It all wrapped with Gio predicting a Yankees surge, Boomer wondering which Rodón shows up, and plenty of fumes—on and off the field.
Jerry kicked off with the sounds of doom in the Bronx—Grisham whiffing to seal the Yanks' loss, Boone and Cora chiming in after. Ohtani went deep as the Dodgers rolled, Skubal shoved for Detroit, and Joe Benigno lost his mind over Jets' special teams. Toss in Fangio on the FG craze and Saleh stumbling over his words, and you've got your morning mix of misery.
Joe Benigno ripped into David Stearns, trashed Cedric Mullins as a “stiff,” and even took shots at Sauce Gardner on the Jake Asman Show. WNBA player blasts refs and league office.
Boomer & Gio stayed upbeat about the Yanks despite Wild Card jitters, with Boomer harping on the little things like Judge's bad arm. Jerry's update featured a Yankees hype video jabbing the Mets, Bregman's RBI, and Joe Benigno ripping Stearns, Mullins, and Sauce. Jerry Jones was “up like Dracula,” and talk closed on Tyreek Hill maybe being happy to sit, cash checks, and eye a new team.
Joe Benigno calls in as we want to see if he can name the 40 Jets starting quarterbacks since Joe Namath. He did not get all 40. I think he got 23. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with the sounds of the Yankees beating the Twins thanks to two Trent Grisham home runs. Juan Soto missed a game tying home run by inches as it went foul in the Mets' loss to the Padres. Manny Machado hit a grand slam. Dave Sims and Suzyn Waldman got into a disagreement about saves in NY vs saves in Pittsburgh. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about ABC suspending Jimmy Kimmel indefinitely.

Joe Benigno's scorching takedown of the Mets wasn't just a critique; it was a furious, caffeine-fueled sermon delivered to the masses. With the passion of a true New York fan, he lit into every aspect of the team's woes, from a disgraceful bullpen filled with "stiffs" to the "delirious" managerial decisions. He saved his most venomous barbs for "Boy Genius" David Stearns, blaming the front office for the team's abysmal state and an inability to acquire a competent starting pitcher at the trade deadline. Benigno's rant was a raw, unfiltered cry of disgust, perfectly capturing the agony of a fan watching his team self-destruct.

John Minko was very excited as St. John's beat Marquette at the buzzer and it's making him sound youthful. Joe Benigno doesn't like all the analytics talk on SNY Sports Nite. The Devils beat the Flyers in Philadelphia.
The show opened with a humorous anecdote about Eddie's powerful hugs, followed by concerns over Gerrit Cole's potential Tommy John surgery, with Jerry attributing baseball injuries to excessive youth play. C-Lo's update covered NFL moves and Rodgers' Steelers rumors, while Kidd lamented the Mavericks' injury woes. Minko's enthusiastic report on St. John's victory highlighted his youthful energy. Benigno criticized analytics in sports broadcasting, and the Devils' win was mentioned. The segment concluded with a debate on who holds the title of New York's play-by-play king following Sterling's retirement and Rosen's impending departure, questioning if a single undisputed leader exists.
Hour 1 Gio and Jerry, filling in for Boomer, discussed significant NFL player movement, including Metcalf's Steelers move and Garrett's Browns return despite his desire for a winning team. They pondered the Seahawks' rebuild and the Vikings' quarterback situation, speculating on Rodgers' potential arrival and Jones' possible start. C-Lo, replacing Jerry for updates, highlighted Parsons' encounter with a lion and recapped weekend NFL trades, notably Adams to the Rams. Gio concluded by sharing humorous anecdotes from a St. Patrick's Day party that made him feel old. Hour 2 The show discussed Josh Allen's massive contract extension, raising concerns about quarterbacks prioritizing wealth over team success and the difficulty of prenuptial agreements. C-Lo's update covered Yankees injuries, including Stanton's struggles, and NFL rumors linking Rodgers to the Steelers, and Mariota and Wentz to the Jets. Minko and Recco provided updates on college basketball games, and the segment concluded with a discussion about Gene Hackman and his wife's death. The National Championship game between Notre Dame and Ohio State didn't have as many viewers as expected. That could be because while it was happening, Trump was doing a press conference where he was taking questions. It also wasn't a very close game most of the way. Boomer thinks Jalen Hurts is hanging onto the ball too long, the same way Sam Darnold did his last 2 games. Hurts does not look like the QB who had a great performance in the Super Bowl a few years ago. Jerry returns for an update, but first Gio said if Saquon Barkley wins a Super Bowl, this will officially be the worst season in the Giants 100 year history. Brian Schottenheimer will likely be the next Cowboys coach and maybe Rex Ryan will be the defensive coordinator. Andy Reid is looking forward to the challenge of playing Buffalo. Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward did their best Boomer & Phil Simms impression as they talked to each other about each other. Joe Benigno wants Pete Alonso back and he blames Stearns and Cohen. He also said, ‘screw Vlad Guerrero, I want my guy'. We heard audio of Ohtani's interpreter calling a bank pretending to be Ohtani looking for a $200,000 withdrawal. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer heard a sports argument in the hallways in the 5am hour. Gio is ashamed to say, he was part of the argument, which he hates. He was arguing with C-Mac about his takes on the Commanders/Lions game.
