Thank you Spring. While watching Lost in Translation ( for maybe the 10th time), I caught one song that I remembered was in my iTunes library but I couldn't place the artist. I thought it was BT, but nope, it is AIR the french band. This is track number three called Alone in Kyoto. Many songs featured past the 30 min mark (where we get into some funky house, jazzy grooves) are from Naked Music Recordings. Can't wait to meet him one day.  I met the vocalist once at a Dennis Ferrer party.  She is a beautiful girl from Chili or Argentina, I'm not too sure which.  She's going to be so upset that I forgot, it's my DJ pal's X-girl.  Don't you hate forgetting details like that about people?The track is called "Shy" and I bought it from Beatport.com, and it's amazingly beautiful in its' simplicity.  The kind of house song that makes you dance as soon as you hear it, no matter where you are. People think I'm nuts when I'm driving in my tiny Corolla dancing to super loud house music!The underlying drum/congo loop beat is from an old house track that PTS (Peter, Tyrone & Shams) used to kill at the late night warehouse parties in downtown Toronto. They were such a kick butt DJ Crew!  They used to mix reel to reel into records. SICK Groove masters those guys! I think the track was called "Hand on My Heart".  Infectious. Cruising in your car, driving to a party, this mix will get you in the mood.  If you don't like vocals in your house music, then this mix is NOT for you.  "Pleasure Seeker" by the Naked Music crew follows (another unbelievable track from Beatport, getting excited just telling you about it!), and it just takes off from there into vocal house bliss. I drew the red drawing. My friend, Denny went to a party in Miami with DJ Sneak, one of our fav house DJs. The photo of his hands on the DJ mixer was beautiful. I don't know how many vocal tracks she has done since her Naked Music days, but we can't get enough of her (we probably own a dozen at least). 2nd track is "Battery Man" by Fish Go Deep. These guys just keep banging out amazing house vocal tracks! Love their work. At 12mins, one of our top three favourite Charles Webster tracks, Presence featuring Shara Nelson singing "Sense of Danger". Shara Nelson gives us goosebumps on this track. This is followed by another deep and soulful Fish Go Deep, "Weapons of Choice". This sort of sets the tone of the mix. This is mix for people who love house vocals back to back. There's probably only 5 instrumentals in this 70min. mix.We had this fri & sat night gig for about 5mths at this fancy smancy restaurant/bar/patio (we couldn't afford to eat there even at a discount! Ever had a $10beer/$12mix drink/up to $30 martini and feel good about it afterwards?) located in the heart of downtown Toronto. It was sort of restrictive in that the DJ equipment was not fun to play on, two pioneer 200 cd turntables w/ no spinning platter, a pioneer 400 mixer and tiny bookshelf speaker for a monitor that farted bass when you blast it. And we have to blast it because I am sort of deaf in my left/DJ ear.BTW.. this is my youngest baby, Caleb. Isn't he cute? Don't worry, he's not really DJing. Don't want him leaving the house at any age, let alone come home late. Khari Cabra Simmons is a pioneer of Atlanta's eclectic underground Soul scene. In the mid 90's he co-founded the Atlanta collective Earthseed, along with friends India Arie,, Sirius B, Anasa Troutman and Donnie. Shortly after the disbanding of Earthseed Khari began to play with then Naked Music recording artist Gaelle, and remained an in demand bassist playing alongside the likes of Donnie, Roy Ayers, Gaelle, Russel Gunn and eventually signing on as India Arie's bassist in early 2000. When India.Aire was offered the opening act for Sade's Lover's Rock tour, she didn't hesitate to invite Khari to join her on the road and after the three month tour, Khari was asked to become a full-time member of her band. As a recording artist Khari has garnered a reputation for crafting Brazilian-influenced soul sounds via his band Jiva and now in his solo career. Khari's collaborations on his many musical projects have included work with Monday Michiru, Bluey of Incognito, Cecelia Stalin of Koop, Chantae Cann, Brenda Nicole Moorer , Grant Green Junior and Sabrina Malheiros. It was our second Sunday brunch party and we celebrated our friend Michael's birthday. Currently residing in the North East, UK, Rory has been DJing for over 15 years. His early influences were the U.S. west coast House scene, in particular the early Naked Music vibe, Dubtribe Sound System, Miguel Migs, Rasoul, Andy Caldwell, JT Donaldson & Lance Desardi. More of Rory’s influences include the likes of Calum Walker, Brendan Costigane, Jimpster, Charles Webster, Vincenzo, DJ Ino, Seph, Steven Garcia, Schmoov and Crazy P....you can see it’s an eclectic bag. This distinctive sound and its influence is obvious when you hear Rory work a crowd in that individual and unique way that he has made his own by giving you that characteristic Cochrane deep house therapy couch. Rory has performed at some of the North East’s most prestigious and loved venues over the years, joints such as Stereo Bar, Tokyo Bar, To The Manor Born, The Loveboat, The Purple Onion, Cosmic Ballroom, Distrikt Bar & The Faversham down in Leeds to name a few..... His passion for Deep House music makes his sound very current. Rory is now running quality labels such as Deep Site Digital & Deep Site Vinylized along with Croatian DJ/producer and good friend Tom Krizic (DJ Funtom). Rory is also working on some interesting production projects of his own, which have meant remixes and a sweet original track with vocalist Sanna Hartfield 'Focus' on Addex’ label Limitation Music. Всем привет! Вот и первый выпуск  MOTSION Radio Show в новом 2015 году. Всех с уже наступившим.Я прекрасно понимаю,что сейчас праздники и хочется лёгкой музыки. Именно поэтому откроет этот год гость - моё давний друг, порядочный семьянин, отличный диджей и просто хороший парень Женя (Efgen).Евгений Зеркаль, он же Efgen занимается музыкой уже на протяжении 8 лет. Участник сумасшедших рейвов Сибири. И теперь его Музыка – это восходящая звезда, ее слушают по радио, в машине и плеерах, ее чувственные ритмы звучат в самых потаенных уголках мозга. Его Музыка-это частичка души самого Жени, которую он с теплотой подарил нам, его слушателям. Сегодня я отдаю руль управления в его руки и я полностью спокоен за первый выпуск в этом году;)Немного слов от самого Жени: Всем ребята наступившего года. ALBUM INFO Miguel Migs is one of the most respected DJs, producers and label owners in house music; an artist whose influence on the current musical landscape cannot be overlooked. Migs personifies the soul-driven vibe of both the Naked Music and Salted Music Label projects in which he has been involved and, hailing from San Francisco himself, has been influential in cultivating and pioneering the famed ‘West Coast scene'. The very special Naked Music episode where we played that label's artists incl. Blue Six, Petalpusher, Colette, Aquanote, Gaelle, Andy Caldwell, Kaskade... Aired in Oct 2011.

This is the first continuation of the mix cd's that began the career of dj NIMBUS. The Chillout Session series, began 8 years ago, and were mainly tech soul, deep house mixes from the Naked Music era and other variations. Ten were completed, and this was a good one to reinstate that series. It's melodicly deep, enjoy!

dattrax: This mix starts w/ Lisa Shaw's beautiful vocals on a track called "Someday". I don't know how many vocal tracks she has done since her Naked Music days, but we can't get enough of her (we probably own a dozen at least). 2nd track is "Battery Man" by Fish Go Deep. These guys just keep banging out amazing house vocal tracks! Love their work. At 12mins, one of our top three favourite Charles Webster tracks, Presence featuring Shara Nelson singing "Sense of Danger". Shara Nelson gives us goosebumps on this track. This is followed by another deep and soulful Fish Go Deep, "Weapons of Choice". This sort of sets the tone of the mix. This is mix for people who love house vocals back to back. There's probably only 5 instrumentals in this 70min. mix. We had this fri & sat night gig for about 5mths at this fancy smancy restaurant/bar/patio (we couldn't afford to eat there even at a discount! Ever had a $10beer/$12mix drink/up to $30 martini and feel good about it afterwards?) located in the heart of downtown Toronto. It was sort of restrictive in that the DJ equipment was not fun to play on, two pioneer 200 cd turntables w/ no spinning platter, a pioneer 400 mixer and tiny bookshelf speaker for a monitor that farted bass when you blast it. And we have to blast it because I am sort of deaf in my left/DJ ear. continued... BTW.. this is my youngest baby, Caleb. Isn't he cute? Don't worry, he's not really DJing. Don't want him leaving the house at any age, let alone come home late. But that's a non-house related topic for some other Blog in the future. dattrax: This mix begins with an amazing track by Leo produced in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Can't wait to meet him one day.  I met the vocalist once at a Dennis Ferrer party.  She is a beautiful girl from Chili or Argentina, I'm not too sure which.  She's going to be so upset that I forgot, it's my DJ pal's X-girl.  Don't you hate forgetting details like that about people? The track is called "Shy" and I bought it from Beatport.com, and it's amazingly beautiful in its' simplicity.  The kind of house song that makes you dance as soon as you hear it, no matter where you are. People think I'm nuts when I'm driving in my tiny Corolla dancing to super loud house music! The underlying drum/congo loop beat is from an old house track that PTS (Peter, Tyrone & Shams) used to kill at the late night warehouse parties in downtown Toronto. They were such a kick butt DJ Crew!  They used to mix reel to reel into records. SICK Groove masters those guys! I think the track was called "Hand on My Heart".  Infectious.  Cruising in your car, driving to a party, this mix will get you in the mood.  If you don't like vocals in your house music, then this mix is NOT for you.  "Pleasure Seeker" by the Naked Music crew follows (another unbelievable track from Beatport, getting excited just telling you about it!), and it just takes off from there into vocal house bliss.  Enjoy.  Please comment if you like any of our mixes.
