When I sang this song at the very place where Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura had performed his worship of Śrī Śrī Gaura-Gadādhara, the devotees were dancing and spinning, and my very close friend and worldwide-famous kīrtaniyā Havi Prabhu came up to me privately and said, “Vaiś, this is such a somber song by Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura. He's talking about the jīva soul and its sojourn in the material world from a time before anyone can trace—except for Kṛṣṇa. The soul has been in the material world and transmigrates from one body to the next. We know from the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, from Kapila-deva to Devahūti, and also Caitanya Mahāprabhu speaking to Śacī-mātā, that the soul within the womb, at a particular time of the development of its material body, becomes aware: "I'm again enclosed in a womb." As Kapila-deva explains to his mother, the soul within the womb who is very fortunate becomes aware of his circumstance begins to pray: "Please, let me stay here, because as soon as I come out of the womb, I'll be captured again by Māyā." In the Eleventh Canto of the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, the Haṃsa-avatāra of Kṛṣṇa tells the four Kumāras that this is inevitable, because the senses of the living being in the material body are embedded within the sense objects, and the sense objects of the material world are embedded within the mind of every conditioned soul. Therefore, it's inevitable. Then, when the soul comes out of the womb, he is again captured and goes on as if in a dream, thinking, ‘This is my life,' and wanders like this endlessly from one body to the next. How will the soul be extricated from this endless suffering in the material world? So, he told me, ‘You should use another tune to indicate the sobriety of this moment of the soul calling out.' This is a tune that Prabhupāda used to sing beseechingly, as you can tell from his voice, calling out to Kṛṣṇa. And after this morning's class by Saccidānanda Mahārāja, we can remember the importance of the time we have. We all have an āyu (lifespan), only we don't know when it's going to end. We have to take advantage now and remember our time in the womb, promising Kṛṣṇa, "If You get me out of this one, I'll definitely worship You." So now's the time. Dr. Manish Patel, co-founder and CEO of Jiva.ai and Chair of the AI Subcommittee at the BIA, where he advises the UK Government on AI policy, data privacy and healthcare applications. With a PhD in Modelling of Complex Systems from UCL and nearly a decade building algorithmic trading systems in investment banking, Manish brings a rare depth of perspective to the most overhyped term in healthcare right now.In this episode, we cut through the noise on AI. Manish challenges the very language we use, explaining why most of what gets called "AI" is really machine learning, why large language models are fundamentally not intelligent and why that distinction has very real consequences when lives are on the line. We look at where AI genuinely adds value in healthcare, from radiology to NHS administrative workflows, and where it is being dangerously overhyped, including some very pointed thoughts on using consumer-grade LLMs to make clinical diagnoses. We also explore how clinicians should think about AI as an augmenter rather than a replacement, why the productivity gains are real and where Manish believes the biggest untapped opportunity in healthcare actually sits. He closes with a frank take on what impressive AI looks like in a real clinical environment versus a polished demo and why the world is heading toward a very small group of people who truly understand what is happening under the hood. Thanks for tuning in to Episode 99. Der Sänger von "Do You Really Want To Hurt Me" und "Karma Chameleon" wird nun ESC-Teilnehmer.

We're diving deep into the high-energy vibes of Norway's Jonas Lovv with "Ya Ya Ya" and the heavy emotional weight behind Poland's Alicja with "Pray." The conversation also explores the traditional textures of Portugal's "Rosa" by Bandidos do Cante and the bold, unapologetic sound of Romania's Alexandra Căpitănescu in "Choke Me."The party continues as we look at the return of the ultimate Eurovision veteran for San Marino, Senhit, and her upbeat entry "Superstar," alongside the sleek, polished pop production of "My System" by Sweden's Felicia. We also spend some time with"Kraj mene" from Serbia's Lavina and the experimental but fun approach of the United Kingdom's Look Mum No Computer with "Eins, zwei, drei." And we cannot forget in our marathon coverage the French sounds of Monroe's "Regarde" and the recently unveiled Azerbaijani entry, "Just Go" by Jiva.Cookie points (in our hearts!) for subscribing on Spotify, Apple Podcasts or YouTube! Arda shares his remarkable journey from growing up in Istanbul, where a bombing near his high school prompted his family to send him to Canada at just 16 years old, to studying political science at the University of Toronto, and eventually finding his passion in the food industry. He talks about how his mentor Eyub at Red Crown Pomegranate Juice gave him the foundation to learn the business, how honest advice from distributor Ratan at Jiva led him to his current partnership with Star Marketing, and why doing your own demos and treating your distributor like a true partner — not just a service provider — is the key to building a brand the right way. We  also cover a wide range of futurist news, starting with the “Genius Act” and the government’s accumulation of a Bitcoin reserve through confiscation. We look at Elon Musk’s strategic pivot to building a city on the Moon before Mars, citing easier access and potential for orbital data centers, alongside a Chinese experiment that successfully hatched butterflies in microgravity. The big question is, can it fly with no gravity? Additional tech updates include Tesla’s Fremont plant switching to Optimus robot production, the viral “Claudebot” AI that autonomously phoned its user, and the integration of AI and fast drones for immersive Olympics coverage. The show concludes with scientific discoveries, such as a pulsar found near the Milky Way’s central black hole and the “Breakthrough Listen” project’s search for extraterrestrial intelligence. Enjoy!  A butterfly successfully flies in zero gravity

People have been noticing how polarized people are. For instance, in America, there's this abject polarization in ideologies, and one of the reasons that some thinkers are putting forward is because of the way we are being controlled by algorithms. When we go online and we make any moves, then immediately it adjusts to trying to catch our attention, to pull us in a certain way, and then it defines who we are according to our profile. You all know more about this than I do. And then, the more we look at it, the more we become isolated in a particular point of view, because we're being controlled by algorithms that are responding to our initial investment of our attention in a certain place that can be measured, and it is being measured at every second. Therefore whatever point of view, whatever rabbit hole we go down, that becomes augmented more and more. That's how Māyā works also. "Prakṛteḥ kriyamāṇāni guṇaiḥ karmāṇi sarvaśaḥ ahaṅkāra-vimūḍhātmā kartāham iti manyate." For many lifetimes, I've gone down the rabbit hole, and now I come out and I think, "This is who I am. This is how I think. This is my opinion." But it's not your opinion. It's just the algorithms that you've been subjected to. So we're caught in that, and life after life, we're dragged, dragged from one life to the next. "Sarīraṁ yad avāpnoti yac cāpy utkrāmatīśvaraḥ gṛhītvaitāni saṁyāti vāyur gandhān ivāśayāt." We are very subtle, we are being blown along into one next situation because we are locked into these algorithms. So to undo all algorithms: "bhidyate hṛdaya-granthiś chidyante sarva-saṁśayāḥ kṣīyante cāsya karmāṇi dṛṣṭa evātmanīśvare." We have to come to see the self as Master. We have to come to see Krishna as master and that we are His servant. We slash through all the algorithms and come to the only algorithm that actually matters, and that is, "I'm a servant of Krishna." The shastra gives us full permission. It says, "You know, break through! Get your algorithm right. You're really messed up, little Jiva. You know, everyone's telling you wrong stuff. Don't believe it. Go to one source, one news channel: Bhagavad-Gītā. Listen to the Bhāgavatam. Don't take in all this other stuff, because it just messes up your algorithms. If you want to fix them, you've got to sit down for a long time every day and really concentrate on these 16 words, 32 syllables. Let it rearrange everything, all the ceta, Ceto-Darpaṇa-Mārjanam. Fix it. And then you'll be happy and you'll have everything. You'll have victory." ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #makejapagreatagain #mantrameditation #chantharekrishnaandbehappy #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons

Resentment is a silent killer of peace—and it's one of the biggest obstacles on the spiritual path. In this powerful episode of Wisdom of the Sages, Raghunath and special guest Jiva G dive deep into the spiritual and psychological mechanics of forgiveness. With decades of experience in both Bhakti yoga and 12-step recovery, Jiva brings clarity, compassion, and hard-earned wisdom to one of the most difficult practices in human life: letting go. Drawing from the story of King Ambarīṣa in the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam and real-life experiences of transformation, this conversation explores why forgiveness is not about excusing bad behavior, but about reclaiming your own power and serenity. Key Takeaways: •  How resentment blocks spiritual growth and poisons our inner world •  Why self-reflection—not blame—is the first step to emotional freedom •  How Bhakti and 12-step principles work together to heal deep wounds •  The difference between forgiveness and reconciliation •  Why forgiving others is often the key to forgiving ourselves •  How spiritual community and loving support can help us do what seems impossible •  Tools and mindsets that can transform lifelong patterns of hurt and shame If you're carrying pain from the past—or struggling to release judgment toward yourself or others—this episode offers both inspiration and real-world practices to help you move forward with strength, clarity, and grace.

Shivaratri is made up of two words – Shiva & Ratri.  The word Shiva means – “Shete tishthati sarvam jagat Yasmin sah shivah shambhuh vikararahitah”  Shiva is the One in whom the entire universe rests, who is changeless and brings auspiciousness to everyone.  Shiva is Pure Consciousness or the very life-spark in our heart.  Consciousness is Sat-Chit-Ananda or Satyam Shivam and Sundaram.  Shiva means auspicious, beautiful. Consciousness alone is truly beautiful because true beauty never fades, is eternal and changeless. Our Body, Mind & Intellect are inert. They appear to be sentient and beautiful only because of reflection of Consciousness.   Ratri is formed of the samskrit root – Raa, which means to give. That which provides happiness and bliss is one meaning of Ratri.  Parvati is one who is born to Parvatraj Himalaya. She signifies Prakriti or Shakti. She is the source of all matter, energy and diversity. In Samskrit, Shiva is masculine gender word. Ratri is feminine gender, is symbolic of Prakriti or Shakti. Maha-Shivaratri is the union of Shiva & Shakti(Parvati).  It is also the night which provides illumination and bliss when Jiva unites with Shiva.   May we do tapasya like Mother Parvati, with single-pointedness, subtlety, purity and persistence to discover our oneness with Bhagawan Shiva and truly celebrate Mahashivaratri.  #shiva #shivaratri #shivarathri #hindu #hindufestival#parvati[marriage, shiva, festival, celebration, fasting, penance, union, wedding]

Creation and destruction, cosmic order and divine justice—these may seem like the primary reasons God engages with the world, but the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam reveals something much deeper. Krishna's true purpose in manifesting within the material realm isn't merely to uphold dharma or to punish the wicked—it's to reciprocate the love of His devotees. And within that love, a happiness is found that far surpasses the impersonal peace of liberation. In this episode, Kaustubha, along with guest hosts Jiva and Chapu, explores these profound truths as Wisdom of the Sages enters the Ninth Canto. Through the story of King Ambarish and the powerful mystic Durvasa Muni, we witness how devotion (bhakti) eclipses all other forms of spiritual attainment. The episode also unpacks a crucial philosophical hierarchy: how Brahman realization—the understanding that one is beyond the material world—is contained within Paramatma realization, which not only perceives the Divine within the heart but also recognizes the Supreme Intelligence orchestrating the workings of the entire material realm. Yet both are ultimately encompassed within Bhagavan realization, where God is understood not merely as an impersonal force or an all-pervading presence, but as the Supreme Person—Krishna—who loves, reciprocates, and reveals Himself fully to His devotees. Key Highlights: ✨ Why Krishna's primary concern isn't universal order—it's love. ✨ The joy of bhakti vs. the impersonal peace of liberation. ✨ How Brahman and Paramatma realizations are included within Bhagavan realization. ✨ Paramatma realization as the recognition of divine intelligence behind the cosmos. ✨ King Ambarish vs. Durvasa Muni: The power of devotion over mystic perfection. ✨ The Ninth Canto as the gateway to Krishna's most intimate pastimes.
