Assume responsibility We also need clarity on what we're looking for—alignment in faith, family values, and a shared vision for the future. The Bible gives us a framework for recognizing a godly spouse, especially through passages like John 29 and Proverbs 31. We were encouraged not to rush into dating. Take time to really get to know someone—talk to their friends, observe their character, and seek God's wisdom. And most importantly, stay open to what the Lord may bring.
