Broadway star, TV host, and entrepreneur Amanda Kloots was already a public figure, but when she began sharing her husband Nick Cordero's battle with COVID-19 in the early days of the pandemic, her openness struck a deep chord. Through daily social media updates, she gave the world a raw, real-time look at love, loss, and resilience—bringing the often private and painful experience of grief into the open to help others process their own. Since then, she has continued to be a beacon of hope and healing, using her platform to spark important conversations about moving forward after tragedy. But in this episode, we go beyond the story many already know. Amanda shares how losing the love of her life has changed her idea of love itself, and what it's like to seek new connections while carrying the weight of that experience. She opens up about the complexities of dating after loss, how it affects potential partners, and what she truly wants moving forward. She also reflects on the ways her faith carried her through unimaginable loss, how her relationship with spirituality has evolved, and what it means to surrender when life takes an unexpected turn.Zac, Jay, and Amanda dive deep into resilience, healing, and learning to embrace the next chapter while honoring the past--a conversation about faith, hope, and finding light in the darkest moments. To learn more about Amanda's new wellness supplement brand: https://properhealth.com/pages/about-properConnect with Zachttps://www.instagram.com/zwclark/https://www.linkedin.com/in/zac-c-746b96254/https://www.tiktok.com/@zacwclarkhttps://www.strava.com/athletes/55697553https://twitter.com/zacwclarkIf you or anyone you know is struggling, please do not hesitate to contact Release:(914) 588-6564releaserecovery.com@releaserecovery

In this edition of the Now You Know Akron podcast, reporter Kerry Clawson shares her exclusive interview with Canton native and Broadway dancer Amanda Kloots. Kloots talks about her journey of healing on ABC's “Dancing with the Stars” following the death of her husband, Broadway star Nick Cordero, to COVID in 2020.
When the problems of our life are pressing in from all sides, we can be blinded to the beautiful moments that are also happening. Through our grief and pain, our sorrow and our confusion, it's really tough to turn our eyes away from the wreck that's happening in front of us to focus on those little moments of joy that are inevitably sprinkled into the tough times. Romans 5:3 tells us to “rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” Our guests this week were able to find rays of hope through times of adversity and change—we're speaking to talk show host Amanda Kloots, who lost her young husband Nick Cordero to Covid-19 in 2020, and managing editor of Catholic Women's ministry Blessed Is She Nell O' Leary. It never doesn't help. That's how I can best describe it.” - Amanda Kloots “Finding comfort came from my family, from Nick's family—definitely from God and from prayer and believing and having faith.” - Amanda Kloots, after losing her husband Nick to COVID-19 “Grief is a journey that you really can only go on on your own. I think that you have to look beyond that anger. You can't say what if or it should have been a certain way or because that'll just tear you down. You can't change what's happened.” - Amanda Kloots “We're just so humbled by what the Lord is doing with our meager offering.” - Nell O'Leary on her ministry Blessed Is She “To think if I had known that seven years ago, Oh, someday you'll do something that you'll really love, I wouldn't have learned the important lesson of just being trusting and satisfied with what God had in front of me.” - Nell O'Leary ________________________ Enjoy watching these additional videos from Jesus Calling YouTube channel: Audio Playlist: https://bit.ly/2PrbuwH Video Playlist: https://bit.ly/2PsmEkJ What's Good? While we all looked forward to saying good bye to 2020 we didn't look forward to saying goodbye to all of the wonderful artists that we lost this past year. From our elder statesmen like Terrence McNally to our youngest stars like Nick Cordero. The beautiful voice of Rebecca Luker to the brilliant dancing of Ann Reinking. We say goodbye to so many of these legends in our annual In Memoriam episode with Broadway's greatest legend, and resident wit, Lee Roy Reams. Lee Roy and the boys joyously look back on these incredible artists who left us with gushing memories, bawdy gossip, and a sense of gratitude that we got to live in the same era as the brilliant geniuses who have shaped the face of Broadway. There was tons of relationship speculation: Jay Cutler/Tomi Lahren, Kaia Gerber/Jacob Elordi, Halsey/Cara Delevingne and Ashley Benson/G-Eazy 'swap,' Rumer Willis/Armie Hammer, and Minka Kelly/Trevor Noah. They also touch on Finneas' song inspired by Nick Cordero and Amanda Kloots. In the award ceremony, Demi Lovato takes home the gold for "funniest comment" of the week. Kardashian recap dives into Sofia Richie and Jaden Smith spotted at the beach, and Kendall and Devin Booker's trip with the Bieber's. On this episode of To a T there's a small introduction, with the rest of the episode dedicated to Amanda Kloots, Nick Cordero, and their baby Elvis. I wanted to bring this up because it's been something laying very deep on my heart and mind and I think it needs to be shared. Nick Cordero is currently fighting for his life as a result of the coronavirus. Amanda has started using the hashtag #WakeUpNick and has asked that at 3pm PST/6pm EST everyone blast and sing/dance to a specific song for him - the other day it was "Got a Lot o' Livin to Do!" by Elvis Presley, and now it's Nick's single "Live Your Life". The response has been enormous and inspirational and there's no doubt in my mind that Nick can feel and hear all of that love and energy from this gesture. Amanda has shared she feels as though there's an army behind all of them and that all of this energy from the singing/dancing/blasting the music to everyone who has been praying and sending love and healing thoughts and energy is without a doubt reaching Nick and will help to wake him up. Please blast these songs, sing and dance to them with all your might, and keep Amanda, Nick, and Elvis in your thoughts, prayers, and heart.
