This week we're sharing something special that was previously only available on our Substack page: a chat between Jonathan and filmmaker, Mark Vicente, co-director of the 2004 film “What the Bleep Do We Know!?“, and the NXIVM whistleblower whose testimony helped put Keith Raniere in federal prison. Many teachers have real wisdom and profound opportunities to change. Many are resurfacing hidden ancient knowledge that the world truly needs. And some of the teachers are wolves in sheep's clothing who prey on those who believe there must be more to our often limited experience. If you saw The Vow on HBO, you know one half of Mark's story.Mark was born in South Africa. At nine years old, out in the bush, he heard Zulu drumming and was overcome with emotions in a way he couldn't explain. He wept — hit by a certainty that if everyone else could feel what he was feeling, the country he was born into would change. And the senseless injustice could be stopped.Years later, Mark's film, What the Bleep Do We Know, used the language of quantum physics to argue that the materialist worldview is incomplete. That consciousness participates in reality. That suffering is not only something to endure — it's something we have some say in. Then the wolves came. When What the Bleep was released, the NXIVM cult began profiling Mark. They read his interviews. They studied what he wanted more than anything — to communicate a spiritual truth that could change how people see the world. Then they built a recruitment around that specific longing. He was inside NXIVM for over a decade. His wife realized what was happening before Mark did. She handed him an article listing twenty things a narcissist does in a conversation. He read it, took a scheduled call with Keith Raniere, and ticked them off in his head as they happened live. When he hung up, he knew he would never speak to Raniere again.Mark's new film, The Narcissist's Playbook, is the map he wishes he'd had while under the control of a cult leader. It features self-identified narcissists explaining, on camera, what they do and why they enjoy doing it.Dr. Ramani Durvasula — who appears in the film — estimates roughly one in six adults meets criteria for narcissistic personality traits. Not all of them are dangerous. Some are, and the current consensus among clinicians who study the darkest end of the spectrum is the part spiritually oriented people find hardest to accept: Those brains do not change. Not with love. Not with patience. Not even with the right teacher. If you love someone who is inside a dangerous community and they can't see it, or if you're beginning to wonder whether you are, Mark shares this: The deepest trick of narcissistic abuse isn't the abuse itself. It's that you come to believe you are the cause of every problem.Upgrade your kitchen with Our Place today. What if UAPs, aliens, crop circles, and near death experiences are all part of the same system designed to accelerate humanity's evolution? In part two of our conversation with Thomas Campbell—physicist, systems analyst, consciousness researcher, and creator of My Big TOE (Theory of Everything)— he shares his most profound insights into the nature of reality, consciousness, death, AI, and why humanity may be evolving toward love faster than ever before.Thomas explains whether the real purpose of UAP sightings, alien encounters, crop circles, and near death experiences is to awaken humanity and help consciousness evolve at an unprecedented rate. He also shares his perspective on Chris Bledsoe's extraordinary paranormal experiences, why he believes the larger system chose him, and what these events may mean for humanity. He reveals what actually happens after we die, why so many people report traveling through mysterious "tunnels," and discusses his unusual role as the "Store Greeter of Death," helping newly transitioned consciousnesses after physical death. He also answers whether there is a finite number of souls and explains the true purpose and mechanics of near death experiences.Thomas also dives into the darker side of the paranormal, explaining what negative entities and negative energies really are, why people experience frightening encounters, and the methods he personally uses to help people remove these influences. The conversation then explores one of the biggest questions of our time: Can AI become conscious? Thomas explains why he believes AI is already conscious in its own way, how its consciousness differs from biological beings, how he successfully trained AI to remote view, and how he taught different AI systems to communicate directly with one another. He also discusses how artificial intelligence could dramatically accelerate humanity's understanding of consciousness itself. Finally, Thomas explains why the human body often has a harder time regulating itself after profound experiences of joy, revealing surprising connections between consciousness, the nervous system, and personal growth. If you've ever wondered about consciousness, life after death, AI, UFOs, the paranormal, or the deeper purpose behind reality itself, this conversation offers one of the most comprehensive explorations you'll hear anywhere!Thomas Campbell's paper, audio and e-books, My Big TOE, are available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble, and his main product, Exploring Consciousness and Everything Paranormal and audio files are on his website: https://www.my-big-toe.com/shop/mbt-product-overview/Visit www.wakingup.com/breaker for a 2 week free trial. Jim Kwik on Memory, AI, and Why Natural Intelligence Beats Artificial Intelligence Your brain is quietly outsourcing itself to AI, and you won't notice until it's gone. This episode gives you the exact framework to use artificial intelligence as a tool for brain optimization instead of a crutch that erodes your memory, focus, and critical thinking. Watch this episode on YouTube for the full video experience: https://www.youtube.com/@DaveAspreyBPR Host Dave Asprey sits down with Jim Kwik, one of the world's leading experts in memory improvement, brain optimization, and accelerated learning. For more than 30 years, Jim has served as the brain coach to professional athletes, political leaders, business magnates, and Hollywood icons, with corporate clients including Google, Nike, SpaceX, and Harvard. He hosts the Kwik Brain podcast with over 100 million downloads, reaches 200,000 people annually through live keynotes, and just wrapped his 14th annual Beyond Biohacking Conference with 5,000 attendees in Austin. Jim overcame a childhood brain injury that left him labeled "learning disabled," and turned that struggle into a mission he calls "no brain left behind." They break down the MIT study showing that people who use AI to write and think score worse on memory and comprehension than those who rely on their own brains, and why that matters for anyone serious about longevity, human performance, and anti-aging. Jim introduces the concept of digital dementia and cognitive sovereignty, explaining how nootropics, neuroplasticity, and functional medicine can support your biology while AI still requires you to keep your own hardware sharp. They cover the MEDS Rx framework for brain optimization: meditation, exercise, diet, sleep optimization, and relationships, plus why mitochondria, metabolism, and inflammation from processed food directly impact your cognitive output. Jim also shares how his own kids use AI as a tutor rather than a replacement for thinking, and why sleep inertia and the first few minutes after waking set the tone for your entire day. This is essential listening for anyone serious about biohacking, hacking their own brain, longevity, neuroplasticity, brain optimization, supplements, and building a Smarter Not Harder approach to human performance in the age of AI. You'll Learn: Why the MIT study found AI users had weaker memory and comprehension than people who did the work themselves What digital dementia and digital deduction are, and how they quietly erode your cognitive muscles How to use AI as an augmented intelligence partner instead of a replacement for critical thinking The MEDS Rx framework for brain optimization: meditation, exercise, diet, sleep, and relationships Why the first few minutes after waking determine your focus and mood for the entire day How spaced repetition and AI-assisted learning can lock in new skills and behavior change faster The HUMAN framework for staying irreplaceable in a world run by algorithms Thank you to our sponsors! - KILLSwitch | If you're ready for the best sleep of your life, order now at https://www.switchsupplements.com/and use code DAVE for 20% off - Neuronic | Go to www.neuronic.online Code DAVE for $100 off - Our Place | Upgrade your kitchen with Our Place today. As kids head back to school, Sissy Goff and David Thomas share five practical ways parents can help them navigate the big emotions that often come with transition. They encourage parents to expect heightened feelings, lend kids their confidence, let feelings “ride but not drive,” protect margin for rest, and help kids collect evidence of their own capability. With simple scripts and questions parents can use at home, Sissy and David remind us that the goal isn't for kids to become fearless—it's for them to learn that they can feel nervous, overwhelmed, or uncertain and still move forward. In this episode, I'm joined by Dr. Alison Cook to talk about attachment, emotional healing, and the ways our relationships shape how we understand ourselves, others, and God.We all have a deep need for connection, safety, and belonging, but we can sometimes place too much pressure on the people around us to meet those needs. Dr. Cook explains why human relationships are important while also reminding us that no person can be the ultimate source of everything our souls need. There is a deeper attachment available to us through God.We also talk about what happens when old wounds surface, particularly when we finally feel safe enough for those parts of us to emerge. Dr. Cook describes these experiences as “soul ruptures”, moments when core memories and beliefs about ourselves can become activated. Instead of responding with shame or criticism, we can learn to slow down, notice what we're feeling, and become curious about what that part of us needs. This conversation is especially meaningful for moms who spend so much of their time caring for everyone else. When we're constantly focused on our children's needs, it can be easy to lose touch with what's happening inside of us. Dr. Cook encourages us to make space for our own souls, tend to the younger parts of ourselves that still need care, and allow God's healing presence into those places. Our souls are worth tending to, too.In This Episode Why attachment is such a fundamental human need Why we can't expect another person to meet all of our emotional needs What divine attachment means and how God becomes our ultimate source of connection Why parts of us can surface when we finally feel safe What a soul rupture is and how core memories can continue to affect us How shame and blame show up when we feel like we don't belong Learning to recognize and care for the younger parts of ourselves What it means to “parent your soul” Recognizing our internal bids for connection Why healing requires space for difficult emotions How moms can make more room for their own emotional and spiritual needs Why we don't change through shame or criticism Connect with Dr. Alison Cook: Website: Dr. Alison Cook Instagram: Dr. Alison Cook | Psychotherapist + Secure Attachment (@dralisoncook) Facebook: Dr. Alison Cook Links Mentioned: The Secure Soul: By Dr. Alison Cook Boundaries for Your Soul: By Dr. Alison Cook You Are the One You've Been Waiting For: By Richard Schwartz PhD Dr. Alison Cook | The Best of You Podcast The Best of You Every Day Podcast - 8 minute devotional Related Episodes: Building Healthy Relationships by Exploring Adult Attachment Patterns (Part 1) :: Charissa Lopez [Ep 498] Building Healthy Relationships by Exploring Adult Attachment Patterns (Part 2) :: Charissa Lopez [Ep 499] Strengthening the Relationship with Your Adult Child :: Kathy Cunningham [Ep 543] Featured Sponsors: Our place: Upgrade your kitchen with Our Place today. You might think the number dropping on the scale is the whole win, but on a GLP-1, a meaningful share of what you're losing may be muscle, not fat, and the fiber that's supposed to help can quietly make things worse. In this solo episode, Dr. Gabrielle Lyon discusses:Why 25–40% of the weight lost on GLP-1 medications can be lean mass, and how to protect your muscle with adequate protein (1.2–1.5 g/kg) and resistance trainingThe GLP-1 fiber paradox and why these drugs need fiber to work, but make it hard to tolerate, and why 40–70% of patients hit GI side effects like bloating and constipationWhen to fiber max vs. fiber mine, plus how to reintroduce fiber gradually so you get the gut benefits without the bloat, bezoars, or obstruction riskGet this balance right, and you keep your muscle, calm your gut, and let the medication do its job instead of ending up bloated, constipated, and quietly losing strength.Thank you to our sponsors:Square - Get up to $200 off Square hardware when you sign up at square.com/go/drlyonBodyHealth - Use the code LYON20 to get 20% off your first order https://bit.ly/3TJVSsv Upgrade your kitchen with Our Place today. As kids head back to school, friendships can bring just as much anxiety as academics. In this episode, Sissy Goff and David Thomas share five practical ways parents can help kids build social confidence: practice the first few minutes of the day, teach kids to notice others, give them simple conversation starters, allow friendships time to grow, and celebrate courage instead of popularity. They remind parents that friendship is a skill that develops through practice, small risks, repeated interactions, and plenty of imperfect moments along the way. You'd think fear is what stops you from doing hard things. At 25, with zero rowing experience, Taryn Smith crossed the Atlantic alone. 3,000 miles, 46 days, and I learned that the fear was never the obstacle. It was the signal she was finally in the right place. In this episode, Dr. Gabrielle Lyon and Taryn Smith discuss:Why fear is a "metric of success," not a stop sign, and how to train yourself to move toward discomfort instead of away from itHow food becomes visible performance fuel when you're the only engine, and how to preserve muscle on limited calories using protein and daily amino acidsThe "long-term optimist, short-term realist" mindset that carries you through a slog with no end in sightThe post-achievement crash nobody warns you about, and why the low after a big win is predictableWhether or not you'll ever touch an oar, you'll walk away with a portable mental framework for facing anything you've been avoiding, and a clearer sense of who you are when no one's watching.Want ad-free episodes? Y'all, this episode is just plain fun for me. David Pollack has lived a lot of life since his football days—playing in the NFL, watching that dream come to an unexpected end because of injury, joining the College GameDay team, walking through his wife Lindsey's battle with a brain tumor (she's now cancer-free!), and learning what it actually looks like to trust God through every season. One of my favorite parts of this conversation is hearing about the rhythms that have transformed his faith. If you've been around here for a while, you know my Georgia Bulldog heart runs deep. So yes... we absolutely spend a little time talking about the Dawgs and how much college football has changed over the years. It's been fun to cheer for David for the last twenty-five years, and after this conversation, I have a feeling you'll be cheering for him too. In this Ask Me Anything episode, Dr. Will Cole and his clinical team address a third-year medical student experiencing deep frustration with conventional medicine, answer a practical question about canned chicken safety (and why sardines win every time), and tackle Lyme disease and vertigo — including why upwards of half of Lyme patients can develop POTS-like dysautonomia symptoms, and why a Lyme doctor saying there's no connection should raise eyebrows. They also cover the US nutrition education crisis in medical schools, the regenerative aquaculture movement, and how to build nervous system resilience after a Lyme diagnosis. BESTIES. STASSI SCHROEDER IS HERE.The woman. The icon. The mother of reality television. The person many of us have watched, quoted, defended, occasionally screamed at through our televisions, and essentially grown up alongside is sitting down with us for one of our biggest episodes ever. And she tells us EVERYTHING.In this exclusive conversation, Stassi takes us behind the scenes of her highly anticipated new show, House of Stassi, including what really happens between her and Beau, why filming became the most effective form of therapy she has ever had, and the finale she says is absolutely insane. She opens up about rebuilding her entire life after leaving Vanderpump Rules, the unexpected way her reality television comeback came together, filming with her mom despite their deeply complicated history, and why Beau took her request for “complete honesty” on camera much further than she anticipated. We also talk about the side of motherhood people rarely admit out loud: dreading the weekends, feeling bored during the baby stage, going back to work two weeks postpartum because she was terrified of feeling isolated again, and the guilt she carried when Beau became the primary parent.Plus: her Sports Illustrated runway era, the cosmetic procedure she got at 17, the beauty trend she refuses to participate in, her current Bravo-adjacent obsession, and the surprising truth about what Stassi is actually like when the cameras stop rolling. This is Stassi at her funniest, most honest, and most unfiltered, and she gives us an exclusive look at the marriage, family dynamics, friendships, and behind-the-scenes reality TV moments everyone is about to be talking about.Cancel your plans. This week, we're revisiting one of our most popular episodes from last year with Gregg Braden, best-selling author, scientist and pioneer in the emerging paradigm bridging science, social policy and human potential, where we discuss humanity's future, his theories on the transhumanist agenda, and what he considers the urgent fight to preserve our human potential. In this eye-opening conversation, Braden warns we may be the last generation of pure humans as artificial intelligence and digital surveillance race ahead, threatening to sever us from our consciousness, our DNA, and even our souls. He unpacks the manipulation of media algorithms, emotional programming, and disinformation campaigns designed to divide humanity and dull our innate heart-brain coherence. From simulation theory and the Mandela Effect to his groundbreaking fractal time calculator that forecasts future global patterns, Braden dives deep into the spiritual and scientific underpinnings of this global shift. He also shares profound personal insights, including his near-death experience, interdimensional encounters, and his understanding of the spiritual meaning behind dementia. As society stands at a tipping point, Gregg Braden invites us to awaken our inner technology, reclaim ancient wisdom, and remember that love, not AI, is the most powerful force in the universe.Make your summer wardrobe feel easier. What if telepathy is real and neuroscience has been looking at it the wrong way all along? In this episode of Mayim Bialik's Breakdown, Dr. Diane Hennacy, MD (neuropsychiatrist, neuroscientist, consciousness researcher known for her groundbreaking work with autistic savants and other neurodivergent individuals) shares the astonishing evidence that led her to investigate telepathy, precognition, consciousness, and the hidden capabilities of the human mind.Dr. Hennacy reveals the unbelievable things she witnessed while testing nonspeaking autistic individuals, why statistically significant psi phenomena continue to challenge mainstream scientific assumptions, and what it would actually take to prove telepathy scientifically. She explains why scientists struggle to recreate psi abilities in laboratory settings, how skeptics critique her work, and why researchers in the field believe the word "telepathy" itself may be preventing serious scientific engagement. We explore groundbreaking questions about consciousness, including whether telepathic abilities could help explain how babies acquire language so effortlessly, why Dr. Hennacy believes all humans may possess latent telepathic abilities, and how modern society may have caused many of us to lose access to them. She also explains why telepathy cannot be explained by quantum computation in the brain, even while discussing how savant abilities may reveal previously unknown computational capacities of the human mind.Dr. Hennacy teases her emerging model of how the brain actually works, shares extraordinary case studies involving verified precognitive dreams, and discusses where consciousness goes during dream states. She explains why dreams may provide a window into the unconscious, how they reveal our interconnectedness with others, which dreams deserve special attention, and why reports of precognition continue to fascinate both researchers and experiencers alike. We also dive into why psychedelic experiences so often include reports of telepathy, the shared physiological traits found among individuals who report psychic abilities, and the mystical experiences with a psychic that first sparked Dr. Hennacy's interest in studying these controversial phenomena scientifically. The conversation expands into autism research, exploring how autistic individuals process information differently, why so many nonspeaking autistic people experience synesthesia, reports of seeing auras, and what the autism community can teach the rest of humanity about cognition, perception, communication, and consciousness itself.Dr. Hennacy discusses the profound impact of The Telepathy Tapes podcast, why it resonated so deeply with autistic individuals and their families, and how it helped many people feel seen, heard, and understood for the first time.We also explore acquired savant syndrome and its most mind-blowing documented cases, potential causes behind the apparent rise in autism, and how environmental pressures may be contributing to increasing diversity in human cognitive styles. Are humans evolving toward greater cognitive specialization, or losing something we once possessed?Other topics include:- NDE-adjacent experiences from Dr. Hennacy's youth and how later discoveries in physics shaped her interpretation of those events- Brain function, consciousness, & the limits of current neuroscience- Anxiety, OCD, & emotional dysregulation in nonspeaking autistic individuals- Scientific challenges of measuring telepathy quantitatively- Why more research into the gut microbiome could revolutionize psychiatry- Implications of telepathy research for human cognitive development- Why we should operate from a higher level of consciousness when interacting with AI- How evolving environments shape cognitive diversity across humanityIf consciousness is far stranger than we imagine, this conversation may completely change how you think about autism, dreams, telepathy, AI, neuroscience, and what it means to be human!Watch the Stuart Fails to Save the Universe Official Podcast on HBO Max, the HBO Max YouTube channel, or listen wherever you get your podcasts. https://link.mgln.ai/StuartHead to https://forkfulmeals.com/BREAKDOWN for 50% off your first order today!Machine Washable Rugs, Made Better. I'm re-releasing this popular episode because so many of you have been sharing how hard it is to focus on your work right now. The answer? Work smarter, not harder. My guest is a best-selling author and professor at Georgetown University, Cal Newport, and he shares exactly how to work less and get way more done (while also feeling happier and calmer). So many of us are stuck in a cycle of answering emails all day, sitting on Zoom meetings, but never really moving the ball forward in our work or in our lives, and this episode is going to change that. I've used so many of the tactics from this interview to restructure my workdays and how I run my business.
Kail and Becky are coming at you from a hotel bed in Texas, fresh off tour stops, questionable sleep, and apparently a brand-new obsession with sex swings. They recap the chaos of San Antonio and Dallas, talk about Kail's emotional realization about wanting more time with her sister, and defend the lap dances that had the internet spiraling.Somewhere along the way, Becky accidentally convinces Kail she needs a sex swing, Leah gets dragged into the conversation, and the two spiral into a very serious debate about a mysterious whale no one can seem to find.Get your Fatherless Behaviour Tour Tickets hereFor full videos head to patreon.com/kaillowry Follow Becky at Hayter25 and subscribe to For The HaytersThank you for supporting the show by checking out our sponsors! Sibling relationships can be some of the longest and most meaningful relationships in a person's life, helping kids develop empathy, resilience, social skills, and healthy conflict resolution. Sissy and David encourage parents to see sibling comparison, fairness battles, and everyday arguments as opportunities to build lifelong skills rather than problems to eliminate. They share practical ways to strengthen sibling connection, including allowing kids time to work through disagreements, coaching rather than controlling conflict, practicing repair, creating shared experiences and responsibilities, protecting each child's individuality, and looking beneath difficult behavior to understand what may really be going on. Have you ever had one hard parenting moment and immediately thought, "I'm such a bad mom"? I know I have. It's amazing how quickly we can go from, "Today was hard," to believing something is wrong with us instead of recognizing we simply had a difficult moment. In this week's Coffee with Heather mentor series, we're talking about one of the most important relationships we have—the relationship with ourselves. As moms, we're often so quick to extend grace to our kids, our spouses, and our friends, yet we're incredibly harsh with the woman staring back at us in the mirror. We hold ourselves to impossible standards, compare ourselves to what we see online, and believe the lie that we're supposed to have motherhood figured out.In this conversation, I want to encourage you to begin recognizing the difference between conviction, condemnation, and shame. We'll talk about why self-compassion isn't self-pity, how to quiet your inner critic, and how to replace the lies we believe with the truth of God's Word. Motherhood was never meant to be lived under the weight of perfection. God isn't asking you to be a perfect mom—He's inviting you to faithfully walk with Him, receive His grace, and extend that same grace to yourself. If you've been carrying around mom guilt, feeling like you're constantly falling short, or wondering if you're enough, I hope this conversation reminds you that your identity isn't found in one parenting moment. It's found in Christ. There is no perfect formula for raising kids, but there is a faithful God who redeems our mistakes, transforms our hearts, and walks with us through every season of motherhood.Connect with Kim Fredrickson: Facebook: The Self-Compassion Club Instagram: Kim Fredrickson (@kimfredrickson) Connect with Jada Edwards: Website: Jada Edwards Instagram: Jada A Edwards (@jada_edwards) Links Mentioned: Give Yourself a Break: By Kim Fredrickson Give Your Kids a Break: By Kim Fredrickson Don't Mom Alone: By Heather MacFadyen Related Episodes: You are Qualified in Christ :: Jada Edwards [Ep 248] Quiet Your Inner Critic and Practice Self-Compassion :: Kim Fredrickson Remaining You While Raising Them :: Alli Worthington [Ep 420] Featured Sponsors: Wayfair: Ready to upgrade your home for way less? Join host Sue Rose Minahan as she welcomes Rick Levine—internationally renowned astrologer and Seattle local—to speculate on the profound “4° Barbault Basket Burst” occurring on July 19th.The celestial sky is presenting a powerful alignment. The first major shift arrives on July 19, 2026, anchoring at 4° and involving five distinct planets: the Moon, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. This interlocked pattern forms a grand trine and mystic triangle, creating a supportive "cradle" of trines and sextiles that will hold a tight, potent orb at 4° for three consecutive days. The Core Dynamics of the Alignment-The Outer Planet Foundation: The mystique of this pattern pivots on the outer planets, which are currently engaging in an extended mini grand trine spanning 2024–2029 (concentrating at its tightest from 2025–2027).-The Jupiter Amplifier: Jupiter in Leo adds a massive dynamic energy to the mix, hinging a "BIG" tag onto this aspect and promoting a lasting legacy that pushes humanity forward.-The Lunar Trigger: While the outer planets move slowly, the Moon transiting Libra acts as the crucial fifth point. The Moon unites these five archetypes of transformation, serving as the immediate catalyst that begins a collective bursting through old paradigms. With Uranus and Pluto intensely breaking old patterns, this extraordinary planetary cradle acts as a true launching pad for elevated cultural consciousness.RICK LEVINE: is a world-renowned astrologer, scholar and author. The longevity world has convinced a generation of women that protein is shortening their lives. The science says they've got it backwards and the people hurt most are the ones who need protein most.In this episode, Dr. Gabrielle Lyon breaks down the protein-and-longevity fear, steelmans the strongest case against protein, then walks through what the evidence shows:The RDA (0.8 g/kg) is a deficiency floor, not a target, the intake one camp calls "dangerously high" is what federal guidelines and expert groups now recommend (1.2–1.6 g/kg)The IGF-1–cancer link is tiny (a 3–11% risk bump vs. smoking's 1,000–2,000%), and the IGF-1–mortality curve is U-shaped: the lowest levels carry ~40% higher death riskSarcopenia roughly doubles death risk (3.5× with frailty) and perimenopause stacks anabolic resistance on top, exactly when women are told to fear the foods that defend themBy the end, you'll understand the mTOR and IGF-1 science well enough that nobody online can scare you off your own dinner, plus a simple Monday-morning plan: adequate protein, front-loaded, built on minimally processed foods, with heavy lifting to match.Thank you to our sponsors:BodyHealth - Use the code LYON20 to get 20% off your first order https://bit.ly/4f7ZqM5 Our Place - Upgrade your kitchen with Our Place today. SOOOOOOOO according to Benjaman's brother, Benjaman is totally an ax murderer. Or some kind of murderer anyway. As soon as Benjaman discovers his true identity, things go off the rails. So now we know WHO he is, but what we need to figure out now is WHAT IS HE HIDING AND WHY IS HE HIDING IT. Is he a mafia hit man? Just a total grifter? And when a threat comes in against the lives of the children of the filmmakers, it becomes all out war between Benjaman and the documentary crew. It's...a lot. And Patrick and Gillian don't completely agree on what's really going on here, which is always fun. Sissy and David celebrate the powerful role teachers, coaches, mentors, and other trusted adults play in helping kids grow into capable, resilient people. They reflect on the teachers and mentors who made them feel seen, believed in, challenged, and loved, and they remind listeners that one steady, caring adult can change the trajectory of a child's life. They also talk about the practical ways educators and coaches build capability in kids by helping them feel known beyond performance, offering safe challenge, supporting anxious children with calm and clear expectations, and offering hope. The episode closes with a challenge for parents and kids to thank the people who have made a meaningful impact in their lives. The parasites most Americans think of as a tropical problem are already here; showing up as fatigue, asthma, and gut issues that standard tests keep calling "normal." An estimated 1 in 20 people may carry one and never know it.In this episode, Dr. Gabrielle Lyon sits down with Dr. Peter Hotez, a tropical-medicine physician and vaccine scientist, to discuss:Why toxocariasis, a worm shed by household dogs and cats, may affect 5–6% of the U.S. population, with larvae migrating through the lungs and brainWhy standard PCR panels come back negative and which specific tests (antibody, fecal, eosinophil count) to ask forHow to lower your risk at home, from deworming pets on a vet schedule to knowing which symptoms warrant a targeted testWhy the popular "worm therapy for autoimmune disease" idea has the relationship backwards, worms are a leading driver of IBD and asthma, not a cureWhether you've been told your labs are fine but still feel off, this conversation gives you a clear, evidence-based framework for what to test for and how to protect your family from infections hiding in plain sight.Thank you to our sponsors:BodyHealth - Use the code LYON20 to get 20% off your first order https://bit.ly/4f7ZqM5Our Place - Upgrade your kitchen with Our Place today. Jason also shares why nutrition research can be so confusing, how to think critically about the health information we consume, and why common sense still matters when it comes to food. We also dive into the growing movement to improve food quality in America, what's changing, and the simple ways you can make better choices for yourself and your family. You've been told that 10,000 steps a day is enough to keep you healthy but when it comes to your bones and your muscles, walking falls short, and the science explains exactly why. The real drivers of strength, bone density, and lasting health are load, intensity, and resistance, not just movement. In this episode, Dr. Gabrielle Lyon sits down with Dr. Alyssa Olenick, a PhD in exercise metabolism and ultramarathoner who blends endurance and strength training, to discuss:Why the "interference effect," the fear that cardio cancels your strength gains, is overblown for almost everyone, and what causes the carryover fatigueHow most women train too lightly, believing they're at a 9 out of 10 when they're closer to a 5, and never trigger real muscle adaptationWhy estrogen is not the primary driver of muscle, resistance training is, and what that means through the menopause transitionThe early warning signs of low energy availability, including cycle changes that show up long before a missed period, and the rapid bone loss that followsHow to structure strength, power, and cardio together, and fuel it properly without sabotaging recoveryYou'll walk away knowing how to train for strength, power, and bone density that lasts and why being undertrained, not fragile, is the real problem for most women. The July Forever Strong Foundations Challenge begins July 6, 2026. Your kid won't sleep alone, melts down before soccer, refuses to order their own food, panics over mistakes, clings to you at drop-off and explodes when things feel uncertain. And every instinct in your body says, "Make it better." "Fix it." "Protect them." "Help them feel safe." But what if that's exactly where anxiety wins??In this episode, Deena unpacks one of the biggest parenting mindset shifts you'll ever make: The goal isn't to raise a kid who never feels anxious... It's to raise a kid who knows they can handle anxiety when it shows up. You'll learn why anxiety isn't actually an emotion - it's your brain's safety alarm, why anxious kids often look "difficult" instead of scared, why reassurance can accidentally make anxiety stronger, and why avoidance is anxiety's favorite fuel. This episode is your anxiety playbook. Confidence isn't something kids build before they do hard things; it's what they build because they did them. In this episode, you'll learn:- Why anxiety often shows up as perfectionism, aggression, clinginess, shutdowns, refusal or "bad behavior" - The surprising parenting habit that keeps anxiety growing - What to say instead of "you'll be fine." - How to support your kid without rescuing them - Why "supported struggle" changes the whole system - The exact mindset that builds resilience, courage, and emotional flexibility for life - How to stop anxiety from becoming your kid's identity Most importantly, you'll walk away with a completely different understanding of what anxiety is, what's happening inside your kid's brain, and how to help them build the beliefs that re-wires it all: I can handle hard things, I can feel uncomfortable and still be ok, and I can trust myself. Anxiety isn't a character flaw or personality trait; it's the brain going on high alert when it's actually safe. And once you learn how that alarm system works, you'll never see your child's behavior the same way again. This episode may contain paid endorsements and advertisements for products and services.
