Welcome to the Monday Breakfast show for the 7th of October 2024, dedicated entirely to speaking about Palestine, Palestinian resistance, and contextualising October 7th 2023 within a larger history of Israel's apartheid and genocide against Palestine. In this show you'll hear: First up today, we will be listening to the first article from Issue Three of The Sunday Paper, and about the events of October 7th and the Palestinian Resistance doctrine. These topics are of particular importance to Issue Three, in which the editorial statement states “While outwardly supportive of Palestinian rights, and perhaps even self described as radically anti-colonial, many progressive publishers, platforms and organisations will quietly erase words like ‘martyr' or ‘intifada' and will quickly withdraw their support at the mention of armed liberation struggle”.You can go back and listen to the full editorial statement in the introductory episode, for a complete explanation of Issue Three's conceptual basis here. The piece we are featuring today, titled 'Tarakum' was written by a Palestinian PhD candidate in political science who wrote this analysis on the events of October 7 2023, under the pseudonym ‘Nabil Mustafa'. Read by Jeanine Mohanned, and with theme music from DOBBY, and includes the track the track ‘Liberation of Palestine', performed by Bilal and Khader Al-Ahmad. This episode was produced on Wurundjeri land, which was invaded, stolen and remains under occupation. Colonial violence continues as does Indigenous Resistance. Support the project by subscribing to their substack and gaining full access to their podcasts.Following that, Rob had an extended interview with Mai Saif, local Palestinian organiser who has been campaigning and fighting for justice for over a decade. They spoke about the Free Palestine movement here in Naarm, how life has changed for Palestinian activists over the past year, and what it has been like to organise a year of consistent rallies advocating for a free Palestine. We then hear speeches from the Sunday Free Palestine Rally on the 6th of October: Senator Lidia Thorpe spoke on the parallels between Palestinian and Australia Aboriginal genocide, before giving the floor to her uncle, Uncle Robbie Thorpe for an unexpected speech after spending 3 weeks in hospital. After, fellow Aboriginal activist and academic Professor Gary Foley took to the stage with a scathing rebuke of Australian Government hypocrisy. Finally, Rob spoke with Esther from the Flood The Post Campaign, which is a push to send as many physical postcards to MPs around this continent in order to pressure them to take meaningful action on Palestine. You can find out more about their campaign here and pick up a Flood The Post postcard at the reception desk of 3CR at 21 Smith Street in 'Fitzroy' during business hours. The show ends with a list of community announcements, mostly based around October 7th: Monday night from 6pm: Vigil for Gaza to commemorate the first anniversary of the first bombs dropped on Gaza in Israel's current genocidal campaign against the Palestinian people. October 7 2023 also marks the first day Israel transformed Gaza from an 'open-air prison' into a 'graveyard for children'. No ministers, no Victorian Premier, no Prime Minister will join this multifaith, multicultural vigil. Wear your kufiya, wear black and respect the silent procession which starts at the Marquis of Linlithgow monument, corner of Anzac Avenue, and St Kilda Rd from 6pm sharp. There will also be a vigil this Friday the 11th of October at Federation Square from 6:30pm. The event organised by Free Palestine Melbourne is an event to grieve the many thousands of victims at the hands of Israel's violence. On Palestine National Day, the 1st of November, at 6pm Fed Square will see an event recognising Palestinian identity as a form of resistance. On Thursday evening the Migrant Workers Coalition hosts a public forum speaking about what's going on with the CFMEU. The forum will cover what the Labor Party's attacks on the CFMEU means for workers rights everywhere, how it will impact the real working and living conditions of tens of thousands of people and what we can do about it. Speakers include Ralph Edwards, Former presidentt of the Victoria CFMEU Construction and General Division and former BLF member; Sanja Markoska, CFMEU Construction worker and delegate; Guy Rundle, co-ordinating editor at Arena Quarterly and correspondent at large for Crikey. The forum will take place at 583 High St Thornbury from 6:30pm.
Hey, it's Alex. Ok, so mind is officially blown. I was sure this week was going to be wild, but I didn't expect everyone else besides OpenAI to pile on, exactly on ThursdAI. Coming back from Dev Day (number 2) and am still processing, and wanted to actually do a recap by humans, not just the NotebookLM one I posted during the keynote itself (which was awesome and scary in a "will AI replace me as a podcaster" kind of way), and was incredible to have Simon Willison who was sitting just behind me most of Dev Day, join me for the recap! But then the news kept coming, OpenAI released Canvas, which is a whole new way of interacting with chatGPT, BFL released a new Flux version that's 8x faster, Rev released a Whisper killer ASR that does diarizaiton and Google released Gemini 1.5 Flash 8B, and said that with prompt caching (which OpenAI now also has, yay) this will cost a whopping 0.01 / Mtok. That's 1 cent per million tokens, for a multimodal model with 1 million context window.
Did you know that although the Scriptures describe Jesus as a man of sorrows, it also describes Him as being anointed with the oil of joy? It is possible to maintain supernatural peace and joy even in the midst of life's pains and disappointments. BLF elder Brent Denney expounds.
In one of Pastor Andy's longer teachings, this message is a departure from the usual method of teaching about a single concept. In doing so, there are numerous takeaways and nuggets of truth shared that help to refine the vision of BLF that can also be of personal benefit to those who hear.

You will no doubt have caught up with the crisis in the CFMEU, starting in Victoria, but impacting the entirety of the union. The CFMEU has long been targeted by governments, media, business and some parts of the general population. While Stick Together does not have a position statement about the CFMEU, we absolutely defend the right of workers of a union to determine their own leadership and their own affairs. And the reality is, the successive Australian governments have systematically introduced anti-union laws making it impossible to effectively fight for workers right – significant ant-worker reforms introduced by the Australian Labor Party.Like the Builders Labourers Federation before it, the CFMEU is now facing the prospect of deregistration. Today's show is the story of the BLF's deregistration. Union activist John Tognolini produced the audio for today's show, it's narrated by Lisa Cruikshank, former presenter of Stick Together over 20 years ago.

Snom D865, Snom D862 game changing router phone that matches small site challenges, Podcast, Telin says demand already high “Now the phone can act as that router,” says Antoine Karachekhlian, Channel Director, North America for Snom. In this podcast Antoine joins Spencer Lee, CEO of Telin, as we report on the release of the Snom D865 and Snom D862 in Canada and the United States, specifically geared towards the 3CX market. As Antoine explains, the ability of the phone to act as a router, radically changes the footprint of equipment needed on-prem for a business and reduces the number of items to be installed when a channel partner does a refresh for the small business clients. In this case the phone itself can act as a gateway. Antoine also tells us about how these new Snom, phones leverage 3CX features. “This is a fantastic news coming out of Snom, says Spencer Lee of Telin. Spencer tells us how the router phone makes a common challenge much easier to match. Many even larger firms, consist of small stores. Each store is like a small business, and it not well suited for the complexity of an installation involving SBCs and more. The router phone delivers the security needed, the technology refresh required, all in a robust package which the actual end user customer will experience. Spencer says there's already high dealer interest because they can easily scale and match this solution to many already existing customers The Snom D865 is designed to be versatile to meet many tasks and applications. The phone is equipped with WiFi, Bluetooth and 2 USB ports as well as 10 freely programmable function keys. In addition, it comes with a high-quality, 40° continuously adjustable 5" LCD screen, which always ensures an optimal display, regardless of the lighting situation at the workplace. The end point also comes with HD audio, works with advanced noise reduction. It is also hearing aid compatible. The Snom D862 offers an entry-level device for the Snom D8xx series and is ideally suited for any desk with its elegant design. Equipped with a high-quality, 40° continuously adjustable 5" LCD screen, it always offers a very good overview, regardless of the lighting situation at the workplace.
Table des matières : 00:00 - Intro 02:41 - Qu'est-ce que la persécution n'est pas?
Table des matières : 00:00 - Intro 01:27 - La Bible cite-t-elle des oeuvres païennes?
The Symbolic World (https://www.youtube.com/c/JonathanPageau)…
