Yorkshire born musician Guy Connor originally came to Manchester as guitarist of rock band The Paris Riots, which enjoyed much success in the UK & Europe. After the band's eventual demise, Guy then went on to form the Post Punk duo 'Giant Boys' with Paris Riots drummer Scottie Mcknight in 2017. Since then Giant Boys have released numerous singles & Eps to high acclaim, including that of BBC 6's Tom Robinson. After releasing their last EP 'Click & Collect' in early 2020, Giant Boys went on hiatus and Guy released his first solo album 'Someone You'd Leave Me For' that same year. This was a clear departure from the heavy & raw sound of Giant Boys, with a set of songs influenced by Alt country, Americana & Soul. He has since continued to put out new solo material in the form of live films throughout 2021, and is now set to release an Ep of unheard tracks from his debut entitled ‘Off-cuts' next month. Produced by Rec Rooms, The Kicking Back Podcast is an audio and video podcast hosted by video producer and musician Brad Ingham and co hosted by guitarist and musician Matthew Campbell. In May 1968 student demonstrations spread across France and when workers joined the protests the whole country was brought to a standstill. Jean-Claude Pruvost was a young policeman who had to face the violent protests on the streets of Paris as the authorities tried to restore control.
