To get us ready for dinner, we have a private room in Louis XVs cellars with our very own sommelier. In this stunning private room we will learn about wine, while sampling a selection of delicious wines (and food). Can you think of a better apéritif? Keeping the theme of privacy, we will end the day in our own private restaurant. With its open kitchen, we will be able to see the chef create, possibly learn a few tips and definitely some cooking inspiration. Day 7: Eiffel Tower, Art and Food Finale! Today we will meet and eat at the Eiffel Tower. We saved the best for last as we will be treated to chef Frédéric Anton, awarded Meilleur Ouvrier de France, he has said he has just one wish: to run a luxurious Jules Verne with an expert hand offering an unbeatable gastronomic experience and so fill the heart of the mythical Iron Lady. After taking in the sites from the top of the tower, we will immerse ourselves in art at Atelier Lumière. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5beaf96012b13fc706ceaaf2/1581952319324-69FPF3UB3Q5VDAG7PU42/ke17ZwdGBToddI8pDm48kEh7ITbM-vCwc1BZu6ssEPFZw-zPPgdn4jUwVcJE1ZvWQUxwkmyExglNqGp0IvTJZamWLI2zvYWH8K3-s_4yszcp2ryTI0HqTOaaUohrI8PI_Kopnc7afHugqTGv5bee5VIijSdyIGEpctAKY2D-k9cKMshLAGzx4R3EDFOm1kBS/Jules%2BVerne.jpg?format=1500w This is an art experience you will never forget. In this special episode, Chef Alain Passard (***) is sharing with us main topics about French gastronomy and the eating style of Parisian women. Passard became famous thanks to the extraordinarily artistic way he works with raw ingredients, which has led him to create his menus according to the seasons and his "gardens" located in three different climatic regions of France. One of his greatest accomplishments of Alain Passard was the creation restaurant, Arpege, in Paris in 1986. This, established him as a modern chef that earned one star in the Michelin Guide in its first year, and two stars soon thereafter. He earned his Actual three Michelin stars in 1996. Alain Passard greatest breakthrough was when he invented vegetables as the centrepiece of the menu and no longer as an accompaniment to fish or meat. Like in fashion the vegetables as an accessory became, in fact the signature garment. I think you should now hear what Alain Passard has to say about the French gastronomy and the modern cooking art.

However, how is one to determine what brands/items are quality without having to spend a fortune playing trial and error... Thanks so much in advance! Keep up the awesome work, I look forward to every post and podcast! —Jennifer Follow these tips: Check the label While not in every scenario is paying more money equivalent to a quality item, often it is. However, do your due diligence, and following the below four steps as well to ease your mind if you are new to a particular designer. Try it on, feel the fabric, check seams, and see how it has been made. Natural fabrics such as cotton, silk, linen and wool will last longer than synthetic fabrics; however, even natural products can be diluted - check the fiber quality and density - feel it. The more fiber, the longer it will last. Look at the buttons and buttonholes: is the stitching tight? This is a good thing. If there are loose threads, this is a bad sign. Clothing with lining is normally a very good sign, just make sure to check the seams. Interfacing in collars and cuffs is a good sign as well as it creates the intended structure, but also takes more time and money to construct. Look to experts in the field you trust - stylists, designers, bloggers, fashion columnists, critics Have patience. You may have to try on more than a few different brands to find one that not only is top quality but works well on your body type and is to your taste. Don't be afraid to return the item if it just doesn't feel right for you. ~How to Find Your Signature Style ~The Perfect Trench is Personal Simple Seasonal Eating for a Busy Schedule Hi Shannon! I have to be at work by 7:30 am every day and don't get home until 5:30 pm or later. So there's not much energy left to get up early to cook breakfast or spend a couple of hours in the kitchen cooking dinner. I don't mind spending maybe an hour cooking dinner and cooking enough so I could eat it for lunch or supper another time during the week. I love the idea of eating with the seasons like you've mentioned. Can you recommend any books, cookbooks, etc. that might have sample menus and simple recipes so you can eat whatever is in season at the moment but use easily found ingredients and the recipes don't require you to be a trained chef spending most of the day in the kitchen? I've tried to come up with my own menus but haven't had much success and found it exhausting. Any recommendations you can give me is greatly appreciated. Thanks for all you do! Bestselling author and Paris resident Lindsey Tramuta says that for a time, Paris had become prisoner to its own grand history. While chefs and artists in other countries innovated, Paris rested on its laurels, serving up mediocre food and experiences to tourists seeking a cliche. In this episode of the Postcard Academy, I talk to Lindsey about her book, ‘The New Paris.’
