Rojaki v Clevelandu bodo danes imeli pobožnost v čast Mariji Pomagaj z Brezij, zavetnici Slovenije in Slovencev po svetu, in sicer v svetišču Lurške Matere Božje v Euclidu. To bo vsakoletna majska pobožnost v čast Pomočnici kristjanov. Začela se bo z molitvijo rožnega venca, nadaljevala s sveto mašo, petimi litanijami Matere Božje in blagoslovom. Marijo bodo prosili za varstvo ameriške slovenske skupnosti in za slovenski narod. V nedeljo pa se bo na Slovenski Pristavi pri Clevelandu začela letošnja poletna sezona. Sveto mašo ob 12.30 bo daroval Janez Retar. Sledilo bo kosilo ter glasba za ples in zabavo. To nedeljo bo v župniji Svetega Vida tudi zaključek šolskega leta slovenske šole. Po maši bo kratek program in nato srečanje v župnijski dvorani. Pred ponedeljkovim ameriškim spominskim dnem, ko se bodo spomnili mož in žena, ki so dali svoje življenje za svobodo, bo župnik Janez Retar že v nedeljo na pokopališču Vernih duš molil za vse padle v vojnah in za vse pokojne farane.

V šmarničnem času smo v pogovoru s sestro Otelijo, šolsko sestro sv. Frančiška Kristusa Kralja, govorili o majniških pobožnostih na Brezjah, pri Mariji Pomagaj.
