Charles McDonald is joined by former NFL wide receiver Quincy Enunwa to cover the biggest stories to come out of NFL Week 15. After laughing about the Tommy Devito pizzeria story, the duo dive into more pressing matters, including the Atlanta Falcons' awful loss to the Panthers, the Buffalo Bills' potential playoff push, teams eliminated from playoff contention, Joe Flacco and the year of the backup quarterback, the Philadelphia Eagles and their three-game tumble and Dameco Ryans' candidacy for coach of the year.Later, Charles and Quincy discuss Quincy's former team, the New York Jets, and their future, as they determine what the ceiling is for the team next season with Aaron Rodgers returning. The Jets continued to make roster moves yesterday. The most prominent of these was the release of wide receiver Quincy Enunwa. A 2014 sixth round pick, Enunwa had been plagued by injuries. After suffering a second neck injury in two years in the 2019 opener, it isn't clear whether he will ever play again. Because of the poor structure of his contract, the deal gave the Jets maximum pain. The team will end up paying Enuwna over $20 million for -4 receiving yards. On today's podcast we talk about the Enunwa news. We also discuss the future of the franchise. The events of the last week have probably made success for the Jets in 2020, but the team is in position to make big improvements in the years ahead. Why the Jets suck. All of their 12 draft picks from 2014 are no longer with the team after they released Quincy Enunwa. But don't worry about Quincy, he's owed over $10M the next two years in salary and an injury settlement.Rockets beat the Bucks last night and shot a regulation game record 61 three pointers. They hit 21 and outscored the Bucks by THIRTY SIX from the three point line. Aaron Judge has homered in five straight games and now has 6HR's and 14 RBI's in EIGHT games! Going for Mattingly's record of eight straight games with a HR.Oh Yoenis leaving without telling the Mets management and having your agent inform the team. Classy move by a classy player. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

The Jets closed up shop yesterday. Players came in to clean out their lockers as the 2019 season has ended. Many of the players and Adam Gase spoke to the media. We will discuss what they said on today's podcast. Most of the attention from Adam Gase's media availability focused on cryptic comments he made regarding Le'Veon Bell's future. While Gase probably could have handled the question better, the reaction was also likely overblown. More noteworthy was Gase stating he is making no changes to the coaching staff. While he could change his mind, this is an interesting development. The coaches on special teams and defense acquitted themselves very well this season. The offense was a different story, although I don't think this news is necessarily awful. It depends on whether the coaches learn and make the necessary changes.Robby Anderson and Quincy Enunwa also spoke to the press. We will discuss what they said on today's show as well. The wide receiver agreed to terms with the Jets on a new contract late last week with an annual salary of $9 million. The Jets also wrapped up their 2018 season today with a 38-3 loss to the Patriots. There isn't a lot to say beyond pointing out the obvious, the team has far too little talent. The Jets also landed the third overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. The loss helped their positioning, but the rest of the league did not provide the necessary help to jump to a higher pick. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Feel free to ask it again in a future podcast. On this week's mailbag, we look at whether it will be easier for the Jets to work around their offensive line situation or their cornerback situation, how the offensive line has looked so far, whether the Jets will look internally or outside the organization for Quincy Enunwa's replacement, whether there was a difference between the way Todd Bowles and Kacy Rodgers calls a game, areas of improvement for Jamal Adams in year two, differences between the Sam Darnold of 2018 and the Mark Sanchez of 2009, how much blame Parry Nickerson deserves for touchdowns against the Colts, and more. Week 1 of the NFL season certainly answered some questions for superflex leagues; it also created a whole new set of questions, just in time for waiver runs in fantasy leagues. The SuperFlex SuperFriends sort through the waiver priorities with some adds (and droppable players to make room for those waiver adds) and some buys/sells in this week's “Superflex SOPs.” The gang also fast-forwards a week and forecasts the waiver runs in Week 3 in “Next Week This Week,” (in Episode 55A – going into Week 1 – the guys identified Brandon Marshall, Quincy Enunwa, John Ross and Phillip Dorsett, among others). But before they can work through the waiver claims du jour, the SuperFriends confess and repent for their incorrect takes in “This Week I Learned…,” featuring Andrew Luck, Jarvis Landry and Tyreek Hill, among others. All that and more in the first of two Week 2 prep episodes this week! Today is the official beginning of summer. We will celebrate with a podcast mailbag. Thanks as always to those who submitted questions for our mailbag. They are always appreciated. Apologies if I was unable to get to your question. There were a lot of good ones.Today we look at the ways in which Chad Hansen might resemble or not resemble Quincy Enunwa, what Devin Smith's current status is, which 2018 Jets Draft pick is the biggest sentimental favorite, what type of base defense best suits the personnel the Jets have, what the Jets will be targeting in the Draft if this season goes poorly, and how the loss of Chandler Catanzaro will impact the kicking game in 2018. The Jets began their veteran minicamp yesterday. It is the final part of the offseason program. We have gotten through the first three phases and the rookie minicamp. This week is the last time Jets players will set foot on a practice field before training camp.Tuesday was a fairly eventful first day. There were a number of developments worth discussing so discuss them we will on today's podcast. One of the most relevant events took place on the opposite coast as the Raiders waived former Jets quarterback Christian Hackenberg. The Jets traded Hackenberg to Oakland weeks ago, but the waiving of the former Penn State quarterback made an impact as it guaranteed New York will receive no compensation from the trade. There were also happy developments involving Teddy Bridgewater and Quincy Enunwa and a less than stellar development involving Terrelle Pryor. We will discuss them all on today's show. I had a few other ideas for today's podcast, but I kept coming back to the quality of questions we got in this week's mailbag call. We had enough for two mailbags, and I enjoy doing those shows so I decided to have a second mailbag show this week. Thanks once again to those of you who sent in those questions.Today we take a look at when Sam Darnold will hit the field, whether the Jets should wait until the offensive line is improved to put him out there, which historical Jets uniforms are the best, what we should look forward to at OTAs, whether Robby Anderson or Quincy Enunwa will have a more productive year, whom the starters will be on the defensive line, and what the Jets might do in next year's Draft. Truth be told, we probably had enough good questions for a third mailbag. We ran out of days this week so I apologize if your question was not answered. Feel free to send it in next week. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

We are just one week from the start of the 2018 NFL Draft. In seven days, the Jets will chart their course for at least the next few years and perhaps the next decade plus by drafting their next quarterback of the future. On today's podcast we will do a mailbag. Thanks to those of you who submitted questions. If your question did not get answered, do not fret. I think we will do another mailbag tomorrow. Next week will be dominated by the Draft so we probably will not get to a mailbag. Thus we will do two this week barring unforseen events.Today we look at whether any of the consensus top four quarterback prospects is a sure thing or a sure bust, the recently retired Nick Mangold's finest moment in a Jets uniform, whether Sam Darnold or Baker Mayfield ran a more complex offensive system in college, whether Quincy Enunwa's role may change, who the Jets should pick at 3 if they don't choose a quarterback, and whether Saquon Barkley should be considered a viable option with that selection. Draft season is a time where teams focus on their needs. When we take stock of needs, we tend to focus only on positional needs. That certainly is an important part of the process. There are needs that go beyond positions, though. Sometimes these get lost in the mix. Some needs are based on roles. A team might need a player who fills a role, and that role could be filled by players at multiple positions. Back in 2015 the Jets had a comedic lack of production from their tight end position, but Brandon Marshall, Eric Decker, and Quincy Enunwa gave the Jets a large amount of the productivity a team usually gets from its tight end.On today's podcast we take a look at some of the roles the Jets need to fill. There is a possibility some could be filled internally by players improving. Others might need to be filled externally. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
