On Wednesday, the Denver Broncos, Sean Payton and George Paton made a number of roster moves. The team did NOT pick up a single player on the waiver wire, not did a single Bronco get picked up on the wire. What does this say about the team? Additionally, the Broncos placed a few notable names on short-term IR and re-signed key players to their team. Denver also began to build their practice squad with many familiar faces, including Ben DiNucci and Lil'Jordan Humphrey, as well as former first-round receiver Phillip Dorsett. Will Dorsett become a valuable receiver to Russell Wilson when Jerry Jeudy is hurt? Will the Broncos make another significant move at receiver to go along with Mavin Mims and Courtland Sutton? What other moves do the Broncos need to make to their roster? The fellas break it all down. The Autumn Windbags: The Best Las Vegas Raiders Podcast Ever!
Episode 161 of The Autumn Windbags! What a great time of the year it is when the NFL calendar year begins. With Jimmy Garoppolo moving to Las Vegas now that he is signed to the Raiders, the question of the day asks which porn star should he start dating? After he was filmed dating a porn star years ago, you know he won't be able to resist now that he is in Sin City. Jimmy G to the Raiders is official. Now that the Windbags had a day to digest the news, they discuss what he brings to Josh McDaniels and the Raiders. With weapons like Davante Adams, Hunter Renfrow and Josh Jacobs, he is in a position to succeed. The Las Vegas Raiders traded Pro Bowl tight end Darren Waller to the New York Giants receiving a third round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Waller's salary, injury history and play all contributed to the need to move on. Another factor was his supposed beef with Maxx Crosby, Josh McDaniels and the rest of the team. The Raiders trade Waller means multiple things. The NFL is three days into free agency. So far the Raiders have signed Jakobi Meyers, Phillip Dorsett, Robert Spillane, Marcus Epps, Brandon Facyson, Brandon Parker, Jakob Johnson, Jerry Tillery and Roderic Teamer. Three days into free agency, we can start to see what Josh McDaniels and Dave Ziegler's strategy is with the roster. Marcus Johnson from @tapedontlie has a theory on what they are doing. Former Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr opened up about his decision to not accept a trade and to sign with the New Orleans Saints. In What Up, Windbags, the guys discuss drafting a quarterback, will Jimmy G be Jimmy Gag with the raiders and is Soto to sensitive or is RJ too negative? 0:00 Intro 2:19 Which Porn Star Should Jimmy Garoppolo Start Dating? 7:34 Jimmy G to the Raiders 15:37 Raiders Trade Darren Waller 23:27 Raiders Free Agency Signings 24:03 Jakobi Meyers 29:28 Phillip Dorsett 30:55 Robert Spillane 32:36 Marcus Epps 34:29 Brandon Facyson 35:17 Brandon Parker 37:13 Jakob Johnson 38:39 Jerry Tillery 39:29 Roderic Teamer 39:41 Roster Strategy 56:43 Derek Carr on the Saints Trade 1:00:34 What Up, Windbags You know you want more: https://linktr.ee/TheAutumnWindbags

Jerraud Powers remembers being in a game like this during the 'Suck For Luck' year. "Character, job security, and pride" are the things that come to Rodney McLeod's about this game. Davis Mills' inconsistency will probably cost him his job this offseason. Texans are competitive, they have had a lot of close games against good teams. The Houston Texans have 2 very fast receivers: Brandon Cooks and Phillip Dorsett. Jerry Hughes is still good, and Jerraud remembers playing with him on the Colts. The guys name their Defensive MVP for the year on the Colts. Rodney Thomas has gotten help from Rodney McLeod and others, and he has played well as a rookie, But still has things to learn. Michael Pittman is the unanimous Offensive MVP for the Colts this year. Chase McLaughlin is the unanimous Special teams player for the 2022 NFL season. Game Predictions.

One day after coach Pete Carroll indicated Phillip Dorsett was "not doing well," the speedy receiver underwent foot surgery, further clouding his chances of playing for the Seahawks in 2020. [arve url="https://youtu.be/azO9MLBTaB4" /] FOXBORO -- The New England Patriots loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday was arguably the worst officiated game in the NFL this season (actually, it's not even that arguable). Despite many wrong calls throughout the game, there were three glaring mistakes made by the officials that all went against the Patriots' favor. Sierra Goodwill, Alex Barth and Evan Lazar discuss the Chiefs fumble that was blown dead despite Stephon Gilmore's recovery that was likely going to be a touchdown, the blatant wrong call on the N'Keal Harry touchdown, and missed defensive pass interference call on Phillip Dorsett. EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ -- No Josh Gordon, no problem for the Patriots. With their second leading receiver out, Tom Brady and the Pats offense still managed their third straight 30+ point game Monday night against the Jets. Phillip Dorsett led the way with the Patriots only touchdown catch of the game, while new tight ends Ben Watson and Eric Tomlinson played a role as well. Hour 3: Marc, Fitzy and Wiggy discuss Brady's contract and why he should hire Sam Bradford's agent. Fitzy has a plot for Jimmy G to return to New England, and Wiggy ends the hour firing off Patriots takes.
Josh Gordon was a rare talent for the Patriots. He was their most productive wide receiver--mainly becasue Julian Edelman missed four games--but still. The offense clearly will have to adjust in the final two weeks, particularly as they look to bounce back from a disappointing week in Pittsburgh. So we look to the game tape to sort through the common perceptions of what Josh was doing in the Patriots offense that will need to be either replaced or reconfigured. Was he actually regularly receiving extra coverage attention? Were defenses playing him as a "deep threat"? Are the coverages and approaches to playing the Pats likely to change with Gordon gone? Will Brady's progressions fundamentally change without #10 out there running routes? Was Gordon actually drawing attention away from other players? And who can fill the production void at the WR postion...or is that how it will work at all? This show is dedicated to separating perception from tape reality on all these subjects and more. Let's dig in...
Week 1 of the NFL season certainly answered some questions for superflex leagues; it also created a whole new set of questions, just in time for waiver runs in fantasy leagues. The SuperFlex SuperFriends sort through the waiver priorities with some adds (and droppable players to make room for those waiver adds) and some buys/sells in this week's “Superflex SOPs.” The gang also fast-forwards a week and forecasts the waiver runs in Week 3 in “Next Week This Week,” (in Episode 55A – going into Week 1 – the guys identified Brandon Marshall, Quincy Enunwa, John Ross and Phillip Dorsett, among others). But before they can work through the waiver claims du jour, the SuperFriends confess and repent for their incorrect takes in “This Week I Learned…,” featuring Andrew Luck, Jarvis Landry and Tyreek Hill, among others. All that and more in the first of two Week 2 prep episodes this week! On Monday's podcast, we reacted to all of Week 1 in the NFL, including the Green Bay Packers' improbable comeback against the Chicago Bears on Sunday Night Football, Tom Brady enjoying his new connection with Phillip Dorsett, and the New Orleans Saints ruining what would've been a perfect week of picks for me with a terrible loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in New Orleans. I also looked back and reacted to the results of "Pic's Picks" for Week 1. And we debuted a new weekly segment on Mondays with Producer Pete, called "Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda."

Former NFL players Brady Quinn and Matt Chatham go around the NFL for a roster status check on the all-important injury front, exploring both fantasy and real football implications. The guys look at (relatively) healthy rosters like the Oakland Raiders and discuss the advantages of playing September football with a near-whole roster. They then dig into teams like the New England Patriots, the Dallas Cowboys, the New Orleans Saints, the Indianapolis Colts, the Chicago Bears, and the New York Giants -- discussing the issues of health that each face and what the uncertainties likely mean for their early-season onfield product. Finally, the guys share some behind the scenes injury maintenance talk (that only players would know) to lend some insight into what those rehabbing players are dealing with -- like Arian Foster, Victor Cruz, Phillip Dorsett, CJ Spiller, and Brandon Lafell. Enjoy!
