June 14 - 20: Create PeaceThis week begins with a new Moon at the very last degree of Taurus late in the day of Sunday, June 14th. Just after the Moon and Sun conjoin, both spill over into the sign of Gemini, where they join Mercury. The Sun and Mercury remain active and alert in Gemini through the week, giving the energy to move, travel, and organize new educational opportunities or business trajectories.The Moon continues to visit with the helpful, benefic planets through the week, passing through its own sign of Cancer and creating a beautiful spectacle in the evening sky with Venus and Jupiter.By Friday, the waxing Moon gains momentum, entering Leo and moving past Ketu, breaking the final pulse of Kala Amrita Yoga, where all planets are hemmed on one side of the nodal axis. A case that saw the political activist being charged with, and eventually proven innocent of, a racially aggravated public order offence for showcasing a satirical placard labelling Rishi Sunak and Suella Braverman as “coconuts” prompting the fundamental question “Who has the right to police your language”? In November 2023, Marieha was arrested for displaying a placard labelling prominent exponents of the then-Tory government as “coconuts” during a pro-Palestine protest. According to the charges put on her, the term coconut was equivalent to a racist slur. Yet, Black and Brown activists have historically used it to call out members of their communities who aligned with colonial powers and white supremacists.
