BEST OF: A recent article form the New York Time compared AI to the shoggoth of H.P. Lovecraft - monstrous beings of black protoplasm, bred as slaves that eventually develop brains of their own. An article from 2017 in MIT Technology Review compared AI to the black cube of Saturn. AI is also really good at doing one specific thing and that is creating Lovecraftian monsters. In the Watchmen comicbook series, Adrian Veidt, also known as Ozymandias, attempts to unite the US and USSR against a common enemy to avoid nuclear war. As opposed to the movie version wherein Doctor Manhattan is scapegoated, in the comic Adriam Veldt used advanced genetic engineering technology to create a giant monster from outer space. The monster is a squid, and as the plan proceeds he teleports the monster through a gateway into New York City. A 2022 promotion for the show Stranger Things lit up the Empire State building, along with others around the world, with a portal to the Upside Down. The recent wildfires from Canada that dumped smoke and particulate on New York City create a background similar to the tv show promotion. In fact, the ad this time was for the game Diablo IV. It feature the Queen of Succubi, Lilith, with a caption and date that read “Welcome to Hell, New York” - 6/6/23. New York is also home to a Ruth Bader Ginsburg statue featuring Lilith's horns and tentacle arms. Lilith is the mother of all demons, the tempter of men, and aborter of children. It is therefore appropriate that NYC's One World Trade building was lit up pink to celebrate abortion rights in 2019. Lilith also wears a rainbow necklace, an outward projection of her disdain for God's promise to never flood the earth and kill innocence. In reliefs, Lilith is shown with the legs of a serpent, with two guardian owls that guard her dominion. She haunts in dreams and from the Upside Down. It is from this realm that Gordie Rose, founder of D-Wave, said that quantum computing will summon what he compared to the visions of H.P. Lovecraft: “And these things we're summoning into the world now, are not demons, they're not evil, they're more like the Lovecraftian great ‘old ones'. These entities are not necessarily going to be aligned with what we want.” The 1920 a movie ALGOL, about an alien giving advanced technology to humans, essentially became the base for modern algorithms starting with ALGOL 60 and 58. Technology that led to the atomic bomb also acts as a sort of trigger to open the gateway and summon the Old Ones. As we wax toward the Sagittarius Full Moon on June 11, we first experience the Mercury/Jupiter conjunction in Gemini June 8 which, as its been waxing has broadcast some interesting news about a major break up. Seems the public spat between President Donald Trump & billionaire Elon Musk made its way onto social media & we've been privy to the exaggerated claims & taunts of both men.The pending breakup of this bromance had long been forecast by astrologers, especially since transiting Uranus once again conjoined “off with his head” fixed star Algol circa May 4. This energy began when Mars & Uranus conjoined close to Algol July 15, 2024, & on July 13 an assassin tried to shoot Trump at his political rally in Butler, PA, on July 13. When we combine this Mercury/Jupiter in Gemini spat with the energies of the waxing first quarter “crisis in action” Mars/Uranus square (which perfects on June 15), we see their influence on this sudden, acrimonious, loudly conducted & widely publicized bromance breakup.This podcast explores how both Trump & Musk have Sun/Uranus aspects in their chart, yet neither of them seem to consciously notice their own erratic tendencies. Plus, how Musk's Cancer Sun/Libra Uranus cardinal square makes him futuristically progress-oriented, while Trump's SU/UR conjunction in Gemini seems to be about destroying conventional norms but then adapting by taking us back in time.Their recent public social media argument (it is Gemini season, after all, & this archetypal energy joined with Jupiter in Gemini likes to loudly exaggerate) has become the breakup fight heard ‘round the world. During their back & forth, Musk called for Trump's impeachment, Trump threatened to withhold billions of dollars of Musk's current government contracts, & Musk retaliated by saying his SpaceX company's Dragon Spacecraft would no longer resupply the international space station or ferry astronauts there & back. Their whole argument began when Musk suddenly objected to Trump's “big beautiful bill's” inclusion of the elimination of electric vehicle tax credits which are valuable to Musk's company, Tesla. The bill now sits in the Senate, which has not yet sent its version back to the House. Meanwhile, Trump would lose out on Musk's financial support for Republicans in future election battles, never mind that Musk funded Trump's presidential campaign to the tune of $230 million in 2024. Before long, however, Musk backed down from his last threat & is seeking “a conversation” with Trump, which makes us wonder how long it will be before both money-obsessed characters (& yes, you can be a billionaire & still be obsessed about money, lol) might kiss & make up. And whether or not breaking up is actually hard to do, lol...Thus far, Trump has refused, so whether Trump's natal wounds around partnership, plus his current transits--such as the fact that Uranus in his 10th is now squaring his Leo Ascendant/Aquarius Descendant, denoting sudden changes in partnership—will last, who knows? We also see he's approaching a Mars return as transiting Mars approaches a conjunction to his natal Mars in Leo on his Ascendant—the latter a recipe for having a chip on his shoulder--& has a few other interesting transits & progressions, so tune in to find out more!Meanwhile, Venus is now in Taurus since June 5/6 as Mercury & Jupiter both enter Moon-ruled Cancer on June 8 & 9, respectively, & we wax toward the June 11 Sagittarius Full Moon which forms a mutable square to the transiting nodal axis. Hard on the heels of the recent transit of Jupiter square to the Virgo South Node & Pisces North Node, there will likely be much legal news as a result, especially out of the Supreme Court now that it's term has ended & we know decisions are forthcoming. A couple of things seem certain, too, the first being that our emotional sensitivity—especially around our financial stability or lack thereof (Venus in Taurus)—will be heightened now. Along with this, however, we may begin to expand our intuitive capabilities (Jupiter in Cancer) to see beyond the boundaries of our local scenario into wider, longer-term implications for the future. (Perhaps Musk's 5'53” Cancer Sun will benefit from the pending conjunction by Jupiter between now & July 5, & reunited with Trump—hey, you never know, if not, they both have a lot to lose…)  Meanwhile, by the time we reach this week's Sagittarius Full Moon which occurs at 20'39” of Sagittarius at 12:44 am PT & 3:44 a.m. ET on June 11, we may experience the height of changed perspectives because we now know that we may have been tricked into believing things we were told were in our best interest are actually far from that. As always, this full Moon reflects the light of the Sun back onto itself, revealing its shadow side. So, this particular lunation—in the U.S., at least--has the Sagittarius Moon highlighting the trickster nature of the Gemini's Sun's attempts to bamboozle us through his sleight of hand “if we take from the poor to give to the rich, it's to benefit YOU.” Hence, we are asked at this Sagittarius Full Moon to release our old perceptions—based on the Geminian tendency to collect & pass misinformation, disinformation, propaganda, & conspiracy theories without analyzing any of it. This may prove hard to do, however, since Venus forms a fixed square to Pluto & Mercury squares Neptune still at this lunation—both recipes for financial coercion & obfuscation about, or distortion of, facts. This becomes relevant, in the U.S. at least, to continued attempts by the U.S. Congress to come up with an acceptable budget reconciliation bill which it's trying to do by July 4 to avoid having the U.S. fall off a fiscal cliff. All of this as we approach the exact Leo Mars/Taurus Uranus opening square in its synodic cycle, and the same when Jupiter in Cancer forms an exact first quarter cardinal square to Saturn in Aries, all on June 15. STARTING TODAY TUNE IN TO https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking WITH SHERI HORN HASAN as we look back at all the mind-boggling Astro News You Can Use this past week & what's coming next!We start with the Pisces New Moon monthly lunar cycle which squared Jupiter in Gemini back on February 27 & led to the overly enthusiastic yet expansively arrogant dramatic reception by President Donald Trump & vice president J.D. Vance in the White House on February 28.It seemed back then like things were only going downhill from there-- what with unelected billionaire Elon Musk in charge of gutting federal governmental services that U.S. citizens rely on under the guise of eliminating waste & fraud. Moving fast and breaking things his specialty, Musk didn't take long to fall out of favor with Americans suffering from his financial cuts by the time we reached the March 6 first quarter lunar crisis in action mutable square of the Gemini Moon to the Pisces Sun. Musk's reply?“Everybody's talkin' at me, I don't hear a word they're saying…”Things were in flux all right, and by the time of the March 7/8 Pisces Sun trined Mars—by then direct in Cancer since February 23—it was clear that everything was not going to be ok. It slowly began to dawn on larger numbers of people that America's current situation was not sustainable and that a radical change would be necessary for the future, as Erin Sullivan defines this aspect in her book “Retrograde Planets.” By March 8, U.S. green card holders—legally allowed to live and work here--were being arrested without being charged with a crime or the right to an attorney & sent to harsh ICE prisons. By March 9, both Americans and Canadians were fed up—the former with Musk's federal job & funding cuts beginning to reverberate negatively throughout society & the latter as the U.S. president refused to shut up about making Canada America's 51st state--& began attacking Tesla dealerships.Meanwhile, lawsuits against the Trump administration's actions began to deluge the courts and now total 146. Approximately one-third of these are now under judicial restraints via various judges' rulings against federal employee firings, the defunding of Congressionally approved programs, veterans' healthcare and other benefits, and so much more.With Venus already retrograde in Aries since March 1 & Mercury having stationed retrograde in Aries 14/15--just after the first Virgo Full Moon lunar eclipse on March 13/14—it seemed inevitable that the truth was beginning to dawn even on those who'd voted for this current administration of billionaires. Not to mention their GOP Congressional sidekicks who'd by then become too afraid to hold public town halls with their angry constituents.However, since the Sun/Neptune conjunction in Pisces March 19 & the Sun's entrance into Aries at the spring equinox March 20, a shift began to take place. Such an obvious lack of compassion of the “let them eat cake” kind, combined with a callous inattention to detail, began to give way by the time the Sun's entrance into Aries called us all into the fight.Since they, we've been morphing away from delusional Piscean energy & toward the higher Piscean manifestation of empathy, & into a more proactive “fight for the right to have rights!” Aries battle cry. And with Venus retrograde have reached her inferior conjunction with the Sun in Aries March 22, we're now, by March 29, at the heliacal rising at time when global leaders tend to lose their heads, so to speak…At the Sun joined Mercury in Aries on March 24—usually an important announcement of some kind from or about leaders, as I noted in last week's podcast—we learned about how top secret U.S. military classified information was disseminated via the unprotected Signal chat app. As we move closer to early May's conjunction between transiting Uranus and “off with his head” fixed star Algol, no surprise that calls for the resignation of our current Pisces Moon Defense Secretary are, in true Aries fashion, getting louder by the day. My March 26's Mars square to wounded healer Chiron, it was obvious how this incident “wounded” our military by weakening its defenses through allowing those listening (are you listening Russia? How about you China? Oh, and what about Iran?) as one of the participants on that chat was actually IN Moscow on an unsecured line at the time. Are ya wakin' up yet, folks?Now as we approach tomorrow's Aries New Moon solar eclipse--& this eclipse series is a physically themed one which has already been filled with accidents, fires, military attacks, etc.—it also brings both luminaries together in alignment—both heart and mind. And Saturn sextiles Uranus now, telling us we have the opportunity to bring revolutionary forces together to try to heal some of the current wounds sustained through the Mars/Chiron square. Remember, this is all under the guise of the current U.S. Pluto return, which ain't gonna be over til it's over, and that's a long way off. JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN for this week's review of what the heck it all means as we head toward next week's Aries New Moon solar eclipse March 29!This podcast looks at how we are reevaluating relationships thanks to Venus retrograde & how we can find the inspiration to create our future, thanks to Mercury retrograde, both in Aries. We review also, as we're in the middle of two eclipses, the theme of this set of eclipses. Hint: this eclipse series is a very physically expressive one that may involve accidents, great physical effort, violence, or any sudden physical events, as per traditional astrologer Bernadette Brady in her book “Predictive Astrology.”Though some may experience these eclipses positively, we've already seen how they've manifested thus far in the collective in terms of both “sudden physical events” & violence,” given recent news reports.We have the recent storms which swept through the American south & southwest beginning March 14, the day of the Virgo Full Moon lunar eclipse that sparked tornadoes, wildfires, high winds and dust storms across eight states over. The result? At least 42 people dead and dozens injured.In addition, the Trump Administration authorized an attack on the Houthis in Yemen on March 15, in which at least 53 people were killed, including five children and two women, and 98 others were wounded, according to the Houthi-run health ministry. He is now setting the stage to be able to do exactly that—next time protestors take to the streets.Then there's Venus stationing retrograde March 1 through April 12, when Venus will move back from Aries into Pisces. This is a period during which--according to Jungian astrologer Erin Sullivan in her book “Retrograde Planets”--we begin a time of global review. Between now and the inferior conjunction of the Aries Sun with Venus retrograde on March 22, & its heliacal rising March 28/29, is when “the reconsideration of what is diplomatic, & what is necessary to maintain a balanced world view & sense of integrity, is precisely what happens” to us both individually & collectively, Sullivan says. The Scorpio First Quarter Moon (Aug. 12, 8:19 am PDT, 20º24' Scorpio-Leo) is on the Sabian symbol 21 Scorpio, A soldier derelict in his duty, and the Sun is on 21 Leo, Chickens intoxicated. Take a stripped-down, focused action on those Leo New Moon intentions. [3:25] This is the First Quarter in a lunar phase family cycle (LPFC) that began on Nov. 13, 2023, at the New Moon at 20º43' Scorpio. The Full Moon in this LPFC comes on May 12, 2025, the Last Quarter on Feb. 9, 2026. [4:50] Void-of-Course (VOC) Moon periods. On Aug. 13 (2:01 am PDT), the Moon in Scorpio trines Neptune. It's VOC for one hour and then enters Sagittarius (3:01 am PDT). If you are recognizing deception or trouble as it comes your way, that is a reward in and of itself. [5:59] On Aug. 15 (9:52 am PDT), the Moon in Sagittarius trines Mercury in Leo. The Moon will be VOC for about an hour, then enters Capricorn (10:51 am PDT). [7:03] On Aug. 17 (1:43 pm PDT), the Moon in Capricorn sextiles Neptune. It's VOC for about an hour, then enters Aquarius (2:44 pm PDT). Review habits and instigate new habits related to creating practical structures that guide intuition, creativity, and vision. [7:45] Mars conjuncts Jupiter on Aug. 14 (8:21 am PDT, 16º40' Gemini). Go ahead and multi-task but don't give in to scattered thinking and actions. [9:17] Mars squares Saturn at 17º42' Gemini and Pisces on Aug. 15 (10:30 pm PDT). The Sabian symbol for Mars is 18 Gemini, Two Chinese men converse in their native tongue, while Saturn is on 18 Pisces, A gigantic tent. Making progress could be slow and full of obstacles but in the end, integrity and inclusivity are achieved. [11:41] Mercury retrograde reenters Leo on Aug. 14 (5:15 pm PDT) and during this time it will be recovering the territory that it covered July 17-25. On Sep. 8, 2024, Mercury recovers this same territory again. Now is the time to get clarity on some projects that were dropped previously. [12:29] Mercury retrograde squares Uranus (Aug. 18, 2:47 am PDT) at 27º10' Leo and Taurus. Mercury is on Sabian symbol, Many little birds on a limb of a large tree. Think back to around July 21; if any technical or communicative issues were unresolved then, use this aspect to find a solution. [13:58] Mercury conjuncts the Sun on Aug. 18 (6:58 pm PDT, 26º35' Leo) on the Sabian symbol 27 Leo, Daybreak. When Mercury is about 17' of arc within conjunction with the Sun, it's in a powerful condition called “cazimi.” At this conjunction, that's between about 3:30 pm and 10:45 pm PDT. If any communications or technical projects fell off the radar around July 22, use this cazimi period to tackle them. [16:13] Venus squares Jupiter (Aug. 18, 10:53 pm PDT) at 17º21' Virgo and Gemini. This week begins with the energetic resonance of the Full Moon at 29 Capricorn which just happened on July 21st. Now this was part of an Alpha Omega portal that began on June 21st with the first full moon at one degree of Capricorn.Why is Capricorn so important now? Because we have had the Capricorn influence since 2008 and within that period the historic US and global Pluto return occurred in 2022. Even though Pluto entered Aquarius in January 2024 it will retrograde into Capricorn in September through mid-November, hitting just that final 29 degree mark, the same degree of this full moon, and then move into Aquarius for good, not to return to Capricorn for 250 years. This is a monumental time.We are seeing the transition and transformation of the Capricorn paradigm, the corporatocracy, the 3D paradigm of power, control, corruption, competition, deceit, and deception which was brought to our attention in extreme detail since Pluto has been in Capricorn. This is the final countdown of ascension, the final revelation of the true nature of 3D which we need to see so we can do the work of dis-integrating it for a new 5D paradigm, which is what ascension provides.Since 3D is our paradigm this integration work is not done for us, it is done in partnership with us, we must do the dis-integration work of 3D so we can integrate 5D energy and we are doing this on both the individual and collective levels. It's a lot of work, I know. It's tiring and can be depressing, it's hard to stare evil in the face and bring in the light. Dear ones,Welcome back to another episode! We hope everyone enjoyed the new moon in Cancer last weekend and had a great start to the summer. We are in a bit of an ominous astrological window. Below are some brief words to frame my thinking about the next couple of weeks + DEATH MEDITATION & T i b e t a n  C h ö SIGN UP INFORMATION!In the ongoing story of 2024, July represents a critical juncture.On July 20th, Mars enters Gemini, kicking off a busy six-week period that activates one of the most significant transits of the year: the Saturn/Jupiter square. As Mars forces the conversation between these two heavyweights to the forefront, we can expect to encounter a surge of activity and circumstances weighted with importance and urgency, activating a deeper story about who we are in the world and our core values.In preparation for this significant period, the heavens have mounted a gauntlet of underworld challengers. Mercury, Venus, and the Sun all pass through the orb of Pluto as they move through the final degrees of Cancer into Leo. On July 15, Mars conjoins Uranus on the fixed star Algol, or as she is known in many Western traditions, the blinking eye of the slain Medusa. For most of us, it may be easy enough to numb out during this intense window and avoid the unease and pain of the underworld. It is a relatively quick, rapid-fire series of transits. But the discomfort is full of rich, fertile soil for growing new efforts. This combination of transits cracks open portals to the dark crevices of our lives and imaginations. What tools do we need to recover from the basement of our unconscious? What crucial parts of ourselves must we resuscitate and bring into consciousness to meet with agency this critical time ahead? Pluto is the Lord of the Underworld, and he always reminds us that death is never as far away as we'd like to believe. Resisting the inevitability of death increases our pain, but surrender brings clarity and the vitality of presence.For many eons, human beings have looked upon the blinking light of Algol with dread and unease. As Mars and Uranus touch that ominous light early next week, they will unleash the volatile rage of the Gorgon, the unbounded pain and profound anger of those unjustly cut off from their power too soon.This moment asks: What will you do with your power while you have it? How will you thread it through your numbered days? And the June 21 Capricorn Full Moon called us to release any tendencies toward infantile behavior of clinging to the past--purely out of habit—rather than entertaining a more serious point of view.However, since the Cancer New Moon July 5--teamed again with Venus but in mutable T-square to Virgo Juno, the goddess asteroid of partnership opposite Saturn in Pisces—asked us to plant seeds that might allow us to decide whether to break, or stay, with current partnerships.Now, the first quarter monthly lunar square of the Libra Moon to the Cancer Sun July 13 urges us to decide where we stand on this issue. In other words, the challenge now is to decide (and we know that the Libra archetype often can be extremely indecisive) whether to align with the emotional past or look forward more realistically to the future.Since the Libra Moon opposes wounded healer Chiron & Eris (the dwarf planet of chaos, discord, & strife) in Aries, while the Cancer Sun squares them both—forming a cardinal T-square--we may find an awful lot of, well, chaos surrounding our partnership decisions right now.Our challenge is to push through this energy with a realistic eye toward the future. This is especially true since we're headed for Mercury's quincunx to Saturn (mental adjustment to reality), an exact Cancer Sun's cardinal square to Chiron in Aries (the wounded leader?), & the Mars/Uranus exact conjunction at 26-degrees 19-minutes of Taurus--all on July 15!As we already know, Uranus in Taurus for the past six years has taught us that the more we resist change, the more sudden & shocking change will be when it arrives, seemingly out of the blue. Mid July has been predicted as a time when something extraordinary could happen affecting the sky, earth or finances with Mars, Uranus & the fixed star Algol meeting in Taurus. For us, this meeting signals its time to reveal the extraordinary universal being you were born to be. 

Heightened tensions, intensity, and sensitivities are all in the mix this week with high impact transits moving through the cosmos. Venus enters Leo on July 11 and immediately opposes Pluto RX in Aquarius, picking up themes that started on Feb 16 and 17 when Venus was conjunct Pluto. The other side of love, friendship, beauty, creativity, and Venusian themes are deeply challenged, and a permanent ending is likely. Yet the Universe is inviting new creative potentials to arrive, too. The Sun in Cancer squares Chiron in Aries on July 15, which could involve emotionally reacting from a wounded place, that may reveal where your needs are not being honored or heard. Then Mars makes the last conjunction to Uranus transiting through Taurus at 26 degrees on July 15, which unleashes what has been stored up or held back for too long. Unexpected aggression, shocks, awakenings, and surprises stir up this typically patient and calm Mars, which is also breaking  you out of a timeline that you're ready to move on from.
