It's a time when day and night are equal length, symbolizing balance and harmony. Referred to as the "Witches' Thanksgiving," it's a time to give thanks for the harvest and the abundance in our lives. As the days grow shorter, we reflect on the year so far and prepare for the coming winter months.Did you know? Mabon celebrates the story of Demeter, goddess of grain, agriculture, and fertility, and her daughter Persephone. When Hades abducts Persephone and forces her to marry him in the underworld, Demeter causes the Earth to go barren. Zeus negotiates with Hades to allow Persephone to be free for half the year, so Demeter only allows abundance on Earth half the year.Even though the exact date of the equinox is September 22, we can celebrate this whole season. Do you? And if you do, does it feel compelling to you?I've found that when Money knows where it's going, that's often when it comes.Money likes direction. It likes purpose. It likes to know what it's being invited into.In this episode, I'm sharing the reason I find most compelling and True for me, and I'm helping you think through yours. We'll explore:• My old belief that I needed a big, charitable, world-saving vision to justify wanting more money• The years I spent going to Bible college, working as a pastor, evangelizing door-to-door, tithing, volunteering, and giving everything I had to a cause I believed was the only one that truly mattered• What it means for me to now pray to a force of Love that wants Life not merely to survive, but to Flourish• Why I believe talking to the ancestors can expand our access to Intuition, God, Love, and the Wisdom already within us• What happened when I asked my ancestors how much Money they wanted me to make—and what they wanted me to do with itNow, whenever I make a plan to earn more Money, I pray blessings over it and tell it exactly where I'm going to put it.Earning more no longer feels like chasing an arbitrary number. It feels like participating in the ancient movement of Life pouring itself forward. So I want to ask you:Do you know exactly why you want more Money? Not why you're supposed to want it.Not the answer that sounds the most generous, responsible, spiritual, or impressive. What's the answer that brings your whole body alive?Maybe Money is waiting to hear where you'd like it to go.***More Ways We Can Walk Together This Season:One-On-One GuidanceWild Wellness Women's CircleInstagramFacebookFree ResourcesFree Curiosity Call

“What if we're not actually pursuing Intuition? What if Intuition has been pursuing us all along?”In this episode, we're exploring Hazel in the Celtic Lunar Tree Calendar, the tree of Knowledge, Wisdom, Intuition, and inspiration. We'll follow Hazel into old Irish stories of sacred wells, 9 Hazel trees, and the Salmon of Knowledge, where wisdom isn't something that's chased or achieved. It's received. We'll also explore what that might mean for our own relationship with Intuition. Maybe our Intuition isn't blocked. Maybe there's just a lot of static. Maybe the signal is already broadcasting, and our work is learning how our particular receiver works. And because Hazel doesn't only ask us to listen, we'll explore the other half of Intuition too: trusting what we hear enough to act on it.What the Celtic Lunar Tree Calendar is and why I follow the Moon through 13 treesThe Celtic story Fionn mac Cumhaill and the Salmon of KnowledgeWhat might actually be happening when we think our Intuition is “blocked”The subconscious, superconscious, and the idea of our bodies as intuitive radio receiversWater, memory, and wisdom that is metabolized through the bodyHazel's fascinating connection with dowsing and finding something real that we can't seeWhy our attention and devotion matter in our relationship with IntuitionHazel as the Celtic Birth Essence known as The KnowerReflection questions and a simple practice for learning how your own Intuition speaks to you

What if she just needs a promotion? In the last episode, I introduced you to my client Kiki and shared some of the story behind a coaching conversation we had about receiving money for the spiritual work she's already been doing for years. In this episode, with Kiki's permission, I'm sharing that full coaching call.We talk about the part of us I've come to affectionately call the Inner Accountant: the part who keeps track of what's coming in, what's going out, what could go wrong, how much we need, and whether there'll be Enough. And we love her—she makes some really good points. We don't want to shame her, silence her, or exile her. Her job has been to help us survive. But maybe it's time to upgrade her job description from merely surviving to Flourishing. In this coaching conversation, we explore:• Why it can feel easier to charge for work that drains us than for the work that brings us alive• The belief that spiritual, healing, creative, nurturing, or purposeful work shouldn't cost money• How receiving money can expand our capacity to serve• The poverty, martyrdom, and self-sacrifice stories many of us inherited through religion• Why money can feel “icky” or gross when it enters the same room as our spiritual gifts• The difference between surviving, Sufficiency, and Flourishing• Why there's no shame in having a contingency plan• What changes when we let practicality support our spirituality instead of treating them as opposites• The possibility that we don't need to heal every Money Story before we start living differentlyThe living-it-out is part of the healing.Sometimes we gotta look at the numbers. Make the plan. Let someone pay us. Allow ourselves to receive before every part of us feels completely ready. And that lived experience is what changes our relationship with money. As you listen, I invite you to get curious:What job have you given your Inner Accountant? Is she only allowed to help you avoid disaster—or can she help you imagine what it might take for your Life to Flourish?Where might you be waiting to feel completely healed before you let yourself do something differently? And what would it look like to start right now?***More Ways We Can Walk Together This Season:One-On-One GuidanceWild Wellness Women's CircleInstagramFacebookFree ResourcesFree Curiosity Call

What did you believe about money before you realized you had other options? In this episode, I'm sharing my own Money Story—and some of the experiences that shaped it long before I realized I was creating one.My dad's gambling addiction and my parents' divorce took my family from upper middle class to below the poverty line when I was around 12–13 years old. At the same time, I was growing up in a conservative, fundamentalist, high-control church where I absorbed complicated messages about money and faith.Somewhere along the way, those stories became tangled together.I came to believe that having money was the opposite of having faith—and that maybe God didn't give me money because He knew I couldn't be trusted with it.Nobody ever explicitly taught me that. But that's the thing about our Money Stories: we don't only inherit what people tell us. We make meaning from what happens to us.In this episode, we explore:• How childhood, family, religion, culture, and painful experiences shape our relationship with money• The difference between blame and recognizing how we co-created our own stories• Why a Money Story doesn't feel like a story and simply feels like reality• Becoming curious about our beliefs instead of immediately trying to “fix” them• Why I no longer believe healing means arriving at a final, perfected relationship with money• My movement from Scarcity → Abundance → Sufficiency• What the book The Soul of Money helped me understand about money as God in action• Jesus' teaching, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also”—and what might happen when we intentionally move our treasure• What it might mean to create a more shame-free, Natural relationship with Money

What is enough?Enough money. Enough food. Enough time. Enough work and rest. Enough security for the future—and enough pleasure in the now.We talk a lot about scarcity and abundance, but in this episode, I'm exploring a third possibility: Sufficiency. Not “technically enough to survive.” Not settling or convincing ourselves we shouldn't want more. But enough to flourish in this Season of our Lives. As we move toward Autumn and Harvest Season, I'm looking to Nature and our ancestors for a different way of relating to resources. The Harvest wasn't the same every year. Nature didn't demand maximum output in every Season. There were times to receive, produce, gather, distribute, release—and rest. What might happen if we let Nature teach us something about our relationship with money, too?I'm also sharing about one of the most transformative books I've ever read, Lynne Twist's The Soul of Money, and inviting you into my new fully asynchronous Voice-Note Book Club: The Soul of Money, happening September 16–October 23.And no—you don't even have to read the book. ❤️Each week, I'll share one of my favorite excerpts in a private Voxer group, along with a voice-note and questions to explore together. You can participate for as little as 15 minutes a week, share deeply, quietly listen, journal on your own, read the entire book, or never open it.You cannot get behind. Everything is invitation, not obligation.Because I don't want to invite you into a conversation about Sufficiency while creating another place in your Life where you feel like you're not doing enough.Registration is $222, with an interest-free four-month payment option, and you'll receive immediate lifetime access to additional resources, including my Healing Your Money Story self-reflection inventory. We begin September 16.Join us here:https://jess-reid.cohere.live/moneyAnd until then, carry this question with you:What would “enough” actually feel like in your Life right now?Not the smallest amount you could survive on.Not the largest amount you can imagine receiving.Enough.For this Season.More Ways We Can Walk Together This Season:One-On-One GuidanceWild Wellness Women's CircleInstagram FacebookFree ResourcesFree Curiosity Call

As women, there are SO MANY things we're supposed to care about:Every notification wants our attention.Every problem wants our concern.Every opportunity wants a yes.Every algorithm has something new for us to be outraged about.Every industry has another thing we should be learning, creating, posting, optimizing, or improving. And sometimes we confuse being a Loving, caring, spiritually awake person with being available to all of it.This month, in the Celtic Lunar Tree Calendar, the Holly tree has been teaching me about what happens when we STOP scattering our energy. And with eclipse season and Virgo season bringing their own flavors to the mix right now, this feels like an especially aligned moment for what I'm calling a Devotion Audit.Sometimes growth looks like becoming more devoted. But also sometimes it looks like realizing:I don't actually care about this anymore.I don't believe this anymore.I don't want to spend my Life force here anymore. This isn't mine to carry. If this is vibing, make sure you press play on this episode, and share it with another sister who needs it!

For women especially, there are endless things we supposedly have to be doing. But I believe resistance isn't laziness or procrastination. It's intuitive useful information about the strategy, timing, environment, expectation, or our motivating force.Changing the environment instead of changing yourself. Rather than trying to change yourself, what could you change in your environment to work with your motivational wiring? It's way more loving, not to mention easier, to remove what's obstructing our Nature rather than endlessly improving ourselves.“What are you motivated to do?” Instead of Why can't I make myself work?, we ask where the energy is naturally trying to go.Fear, force, and shame versus Love. Sometimes we're resisting not the thing itself but the way we're trying to make ourselves do it.Expanding your permission field.Maybe the answer is not to do the thing at all. The goal isn't to manufacture motivation. It's to understand what the lack of motivation is communicating, and then decide what to do.Remember to get the free guide here:[What to Do When You're Not Motivated]

At one of our women's circles celebrating Lammas in the Wheel of the Year, we each reflected on the path from Imbolc (6 months ago) to now. From seeds to fruit, from hope to harvest. We asked: What has bloomed in our lives? What are we harvesting? As we shared our reflections, something unexpected stood out to me.Most women didn't talk about business goals, creative projects, or personal accomplishments. They talked about their children. For just a moment, I noticed the quiet whisper of an old story inside myself:"That doesn't count.""That's not your fruit.""You should have something of your own to show."But when I imagined my grandmothers answering the same question, I realized they almost certainly would have spoken about their families, their communities, and the people they had helped nurture into fuller Life.In this episode, I explore why I believe the fruit of our fruit is still our fruit, what modern culture often gets wrong about success and fulfillment, and why witnessing another person's flourishing may be one of the deepest forms of harvest we experience. In this episode, we'll explore:Why Lammas invites us to reflect on what has ripened since ImbolcThe old story that says only individual achievement countsWhat our grandmothers might have considered a successful harvestThe difference between rooted devotion and unhealthy enmeshmentWhy another person's blooming can become part of our ownA more relational understanding of success, purpose, and the Seasons of Life

"Holly doesn't teach me to become prickly everywhere. She teaches me to become discerning about where I need thorns."In this episode, we're exploring Holly in the Celtic Tree Calendar—its ecology, symbolism, Celtic folklore, and spiritual teachings.Holly is often associated with Winter because of her bright red berries and evergreen leaves, but in the Celtic Tree Calendar she appears in the heart of Summer. She invites us to explore a different kind of strength—not force or control, but devotion, discernment, and the courage to protect what is truly sacred.Together we'll explore:Why Holly is known as the Sacred DefenderWhy Holly appears in the Celtic Tree Calendar during Summer instead of WinterWhat Holly's prickly leaves can teach us about healthy boundariesThe surprising way Holly creates both protection and sanctuaryReflection questions for this lunar cycleHow Nature becomes a mirror for your own inner LifeRelated EpisodesEpisode 276: What Is the Celtic Lunar Tree Calendar? Most of us live inside linear, scheduled time. Our culture measures every minute and asks us to manage time as if it were money. But our ancestors lived by different rhythms. They knew time as cyclical, sacred, and alive.I've been on a journey of rewilding my own relationship with time. The Celtic Wheel of the Year and the Celtic Lunar Tree have helped me honor seasonal and lunar rhythms. In 2024, my mentor introduced me to the Mayan calendar, which deepened this path even further by giving me not just a seasonal or lunar energy to attune to, but a daily one.Unlike astrology, which can feel overwhelming with so many moving parts, the Mayan calendar offers a simple yet profound way to attune to the quality of time every single day.The Mayan Sacred Calendar repeats in predictable cycles through twenty nawales, or archetypal energies. These patterns invite us to notice synchronicities, shift our awareness, and experience life through Kairos time, mythic time that stretches and breathes, rather than only Kronos time, the linear time of calendars and clocks. In this replay of a gathering of the Wild Wellness Women's Circle, guest expert Diana Paez walks us through:The Mayan calendar as a living system: how cyclical time repeats in archetypal patternsAn introduction to the nawales: the twenty archetypes you will meet again and again as companions on your pathYour Mayan birth chart: how to begin exploring your unique essence through the quality of time you were born intoA rewilding of your relationship to time: moving from productivity-driven Kronos time into the spacious, sacred experience of Kairos timeThis is not just a lecture. We can get so caught up in cycles of doubt, insecurity, overthinking, overanalyzing, analysis paralysis, second guessing, getting stuck, procrastinating, and all of these obstacles in our decision-making.And beginning to use a pendulum to ask anything—from the most simple and basic low-risk type of question, to making some of the biggest decisions of my life—has really freed me from all of those monkey mind games that used to set me back. And I'm on a mission to share that kind of freedom with others. In this episode, I'll be teaching us how divination was once a universal folk practice, why it's actually normal to consult your intuition (and quite abnormal not to), and how to use a pendulum (or any weighted necklace) to access clear yes/no guidance from your body, intuition, ancestors, or divine support team. We'll explore the science-backed connection between pendulum work and muscle testing, discuss who or what we might be channeling, and have hands-on practice together in real time. By the end, you'll have a grounded process for using a pendulum to make aligned decisions rooted in love, clarity, and intuition.Mentioned in this episode: ep 206 How To Use Intuitive ToolsAmelia Hruby and her podcast Off The GridSign up for my free Celtic Lunar Tree Calendar GuideSign up for a free curiosity call to get to know each other better before doing a reading or reiki togetherOr if you're ready, sign up for a pendulum & oracle card reading hereOr sign up for a reiki session hereHow we can walk together

In the Taoist 5 Element System, the element of the Spring Season is called Nature (sometimes called Wood.) Our Nature is really about our gifts. We all have inherent gifts that we are born with that are meant for our own benefit (to enjoy!) and meant for others' benefit too (to serve.) I have a free Discover Your Spiritual Gifts class that complements this episode really well for you. Grab it here. Most of our problems in Life really do come down to not knowing ourselves, not loving ourselves, and not BEING ourselves. Why is it like that for so many of us?! It's definitely not your own fault. It's because of the culture and systems that we are born into, that are so disconnected now from this kind of truth. But I do believe we are coming Home, with so many more people individually awakening, but also a collective shift back into this. I think it's inevitable with the rise of AI that we will have a reawakening of what sets us apart as humans and spirits—our spiritual gifts. Today's episode is a recording of a client coaching call that I just know you're gonna relate to!If you feel disconnected from your gifts or like Fear (which btw ultimately does come from Love!) is getting in the way of you fully stepping into them, you're going to love this episode. If the Earth were a Person, how would you describe what they are like, and how would you describe your relationship with them?I was brought up in a religion that taught me that nature is something separate from us and subservient to us.It's alive in a sense, but definitely not conscious. I was taught that it's impersonal, and it definitely didn't have a soul or spirit. It's beautiful, sure, but it's mainly a utility that exists to resource humans. It's here to be the support system and backdrop to the most important existence of humans.Basically, it's inanimate. But in the last couple of years, especially after my first psychedelic experience, I see things completely differently.Throughout most of human history, human beings believed in animism, and it doesn't contradict religion (or, it doesn't have to.)Animism is the belief that everything in Nature is alive and has a spirit or consciousness—not just humans and animals, but also trees, rivers, rocks, mountains, and even weather systems. It's one of the oldest belief systems in the world and is found in many Indigenous and earth-based traditions.Animism teaches that the world is made up of relationships - that we're in constant dialogue with the more-than-human world, and that everything is interconnected and deserving of respect.Press play to learn: myths and creation stories about the Earth being personal and relationalpractical and magical ways to be more connected with Nature - to receive physical and mental health benefits and also to receive messages from your Intuitionhow to see Nature as a mirror for what's happening in our inner world through its cycles of growth and restHow we can walk together:Join the next gathering of the Wild Wellness Women's Circle. I've been thinking a lot about how quickly we're taught to leave something the moment it feels off.Burn it down. Pivot. Start over.In the Celtic Lunar Tree Calendar, we're in the Connection Full Moon this Wednesday, April 1. It's about how alignment doesn't always come from making a big move. Sometimes it comes from staying long enough to understand what's actually out of alignment, and letting it come back into right relationship. That doesn't mean you stay forever. It means you don't let fear, force, or shame make the decision for you.For anyone navigating tension, transition, or "something's shifting but I can't name it yet," I made a free moon guide for you.
