The Prophet And The Prince Part 21 - Road Work Ahead
In this special episode of the Seasoned With Salt Podcast titled "Road Work Ahead," I share a personal story about a pivotal lesson from Pastor Dr. Bennie L. Toliver. Early in my ministry, Pastor Toliver taught me the importance of seeing God in everyday occurrences. By using a simple road sign as a metaphor, he showed me how life's ordinary moments can reveal profound spiritual truths that inform our preaching and guide our journey of faith. TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ HATEWAX Hatewax is a multi-genre project of a Kazan producer/DJ. Hatewax managed to visit the walls of Mutabor and Stackenschneider with the music of the author's composition. The project was marked by releases on such labels as: Planet Rhythm, A R T S, Nervous Records NY and Frequency. Hatewax is one half of the Road Work Ahead duo and an integral part of it. The releases that were recorded as part of this duet take pride of place in his discography. On March 2023, Sergey released his author's vinyl on the Dutch label Planet Rhythm, which was noted by the brightest techno representatives of our vast planet. He prefers to play music of the author's composition only, relying completely on his own ideas. The basis of Hatewax's sound is hypnotic, industrial music with a straight/broken rhythm and a wide range of synthesis, which is felt from the first seconds of listening to his tracks. Producer/Host: Jim Campbell Heading out to hit the road for the holiday weekend? In addition to three word signs drivers never want to see, e.g., “Road Work Ahead” or “One Lane Road”, there’s another one increasingly visible these days: “No Cash Accepted.” This one deserves a bit of pondering for not only its obvious meaning but also for some its perhaps not so obvious implications for personal privacy and autonomy. About the host: Jim Campbell has a longstanding interest in the intersection of digital technology, law, and public policy and how they affect our daily lives in our increasingly digital world. He has banged around non-commercial radio for decades and, in the little known facts department (that should probably stay that way), he was one of the readers voicing Richard Nixon's words when NPR broadcast the entire transcript of the Watergate tapes. Like several other current WERU volunteers, he was at the station's sign-on party on May 1, 1988 and has been a volunteer ever since doing an early stint as a Morning Maine host, and later producing WERU program series including Northern Lights, Conversations on Science and Society, Sound Portrait of the Artist, Selections from the Camden Conference, others that will probably come to him after this is is posted, and, of course, Notes from the Electronic Cottage. We often here people say "I am a work in progress" There is much truth in that we are all a work in progress. For the Christian we are working to be more like Christ. The one pothole many of us encounter on the path is sin. It can cause our road trip to be bumpy. It is repentance that fills in those potholes. True repentance, is more than remorse it is a change in direction. It is achieved by developing a true love for God.
When you drive, you see signs on the side of the road indicating dangers up ahead. "Road Work Ahead" "Slippery When Wet" "Railroad Crossing" When you fundraise, you should also see signs of dangers ahead. These signs usually come in the form of hunches, advice, and experience. Today, I want to share three warning signs for fundraising. You could say these signs indicate the pitfalls to avoid. Each is extremely important and should not be overlooked: https://catholicfundraiser.net/3-pitfalls-catholics-should-avoid-when-fundraising/

We are on a spiritual journey, and the enemy of our soul often plants things in our path to detour us from the Work that God has for us. Today’s message is about our Road Work. What can we do for Jesus/Kingdom as we travel toward eternal life. We must overcome the detours, have patience while waiting, and “work!”
In part 2, we dig into the impact of the current crisis in terms of wasted time, economic loss, and lost lives.
In this section we take a look at how we avoid the mess we are currently in and how will the future of our transportation needs be served.
In part 4 of the series, we take a look at communities that are finding success in fixing roads and planning for the future.
Part 3 of "The Break Down - Road Work Ahead" series takes on how much will it cost to fix the roads we use every day and how are we going to pay for it.
In the first part of this series, our reporters lay out how America is in an infrastructure crisis and present the problems it has created in our communities.
Here's the entire 5-part series of "The Break Down: Road Work Ahead," in which reporters Al Jones and Steve Burns take a deep dive into America's infrastructure crisis.
Reporter Al Jones visits a local business that lives on flat tires, Rapid Tire Service in Brooklyn. The shop doesn't see many customers during rush hour because traffic doesn't move.
