Gerardo Davila was born in Zacatecas, Mexico and grew up in Garland, TX. He's 1st generation, the oldest of five children and the first of his family to become an actor in the United States. In his late teens he applied his music background and formed a rap group called Latin Royalty that performed in and around the Dallas scene. After the group broke up, he later went solo as Master G. He later attended the University of North Texas studying Radio-TV-Film, subsequently giving up his musical aspirations as a young adult and began his acting career at the age of 29 jumping right into theatre at Teatro Dallas working with his first mentor and friend Cora Cardona. In 2004 he joined acting group Class Act Dallas, he trained there weekly for 16 years under the tutelage of his late mentor Daniel Foster. He attributes his success to being bilingual, consistent training, persistence, patience and dedication. In 2015 he met another great mentor, the late Marta Dubois in Los Angeles. In the Fall of 2019, he was accepted and attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London where he trained with Brigit Panet, Andrew Tidmarsh and Salvatore Sorce. He continues to return and train at RADA. Over the last 18 years he consistently books film and television roles, national and regional commercials, spokeperson, print and voiceover for video games and anime. Gerardo has also been a mentor and private acting coach for over 10 years. He has appeared in many television shows such as Chicago Fire, Better Call Saul, Cobra Kai and The Vampire Diaries. In 2021 he landed his first recurring role in Paramount's TV drama Long Slow Exhale. Among recent feature films he's starred in include Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 & The Suicide Squad by director James Gunn, Root Letter, Adam The First and Ghoster. In this overstuffed episode Mike, Rich and Steve tackle six new releases... ROOT LETTER is an independent mystery movie in which a young man tries to find out what happened to a pen-friend after she sends him a disturbing letter... Today on the show we have writer, actor and director Sonja O'Hara. You might recognize here from my feature film On the Corner of Ego and Desire where she played an insane director at Sundance.Sonja O'Hara is an Emmy-nominated queer writer, director and actor represented by WME and Management 360. She was chosen as one of the “10 Filmmakers To Watch” by Independent Magazine, selected by a jury from MovieMaker Magazine, the Sundance Institute and Austin Film Festival. (Past recipients include Barry Jenkins of MOONLIGHT.)Sonja just directed two back to back features which are currently completing post-production: MID-CENTURY, a provocative thriller starring Stephan Lang (DON'T BREATHE) and two time Academy Award® nominee Bruce Dern, produced by Jeremy Walton (THE INVENTOR with Marion Cotillard), and ROOT LETTER, an adaptation of the popular Japanese PlayStation game, written by Tribeca Film Festival Narrative Prize winner David Ebeltoft and starring Danny Ramirez of THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER.Sonja also created and directed the Webby award winning series DOOMSDAY which was nominated for the 2021 Daytime Emmy Awards. For DOOMSDAY, she was awarded the “Best Director” prize out of 4000 submissions at The New York Television Festival. Sonja sold her original series ASTRAL to Adaptive Studios.I wanted to have her on the show to discuss not only her directing career but also wanted to discuss her remarkable story on how she financed DOOMSDAY...she sold her eggs! This is easily the most unique film financing method I'd ever heard of. She made a film about her experience called Ovum.An offbeat young actress who will do anything for a part, ends up giving up a part of herself when her method acting exercise goes too far and she ends up selling her eggs.Enjoy my conversation with the remarkable filmmaker Sonja O'Hara.

Elisabeth har spelat Iron Chef-tolkningen Battle Chef Brigade och svenskutvecklade nazistskjutaren Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. Niklas försöker stoppa tragedin från att hända i Last Day of June, medan Tommy lajvar mobbare i visual novel-spelet Root Letter. Spel som avhandlas: Hidden Agenda, Destiny 2, Battle Chef Brigade, Last Day of June, Root Letter, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus

We apologize for the very long time off. The Holidays, moving, and oversleeping, work, and other things have made it hard to get together and do the podcast. At least the double whammy of The Game Awards 2016 and Playstation Experience 2016 gives us two big events to discuss. Sean and Marc talk about all the announcements, surprises, and other things that happened at Sony’s Playstation Experience 2016. The announcement of a new MechWarrior game and SEGA getting their franchises into movies. The guys also give their thoughts on The Game Awards 2016. Did they agree with the winners? Has Geoff Keighley finally nailed the event? Or are there still a few things to iron out? The guys discuss this and more. Finally, both Sean and Marc have played lots of games since the last time they’ve had a show. Marc has his thoughts on Watch Dogs 2, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Titanfall 2, Planet Coaster, and Assassin’s Creed: Ezio Trilogy. Sean talks Pokemon Sun, Root Letter, Senran Kagura: Bon Apetit, and a little game called Final Fantasy XV as well. So, be sure to join the guys for a big episode of Video Games 2 the MAX.

It's time to catch up and talk about games that Jared and Anne Ladyem have played over the past month. World of Final Fantasy, Root Letter, and Final Fantasy XV Judgment Disc are on the table ready to be discussed. We also talk about the recent Persona 5 delay for English speaking audiences and why that is a bummer.
