Build a Solid Foundation to grow your Network Marketing Business   “When you are marketing to everyone, you are marketing to no one, you have no foundation.”   Brooke Elder   In podcast 147 Brooke dives into the topic of how do you build a business that has that solid foundation. Most people in network marketing build their foundation by thinking that their products are for everyone. When you market to everyone you have no way of really differentiating yourself from other people.    Usually on average, the results are for every hundred people you talk to, two will say yes. Those are  horrible odds! When you do this, you start to feel burned out and you start to feel like you're not good enough and you start to feel like everyone else out there can do it but me. So you end up quitting because you don't understand the foundational piece.    “If you didn't know this, the industry is changing.” - Brooke Elder   From October to December of 2020, the network marketing industry saw a  21% increase in people joining. That hasn't happened since 1982. There was a pivot in the industry. They changed all the strategies to hotel meetings and to having the three-way calls, like all the things that your upline is probably using now.   We're about to experience that again. And we're experiencing the pivot of how to build your business authentically in the net, the digital space. If you don't pivot with the industry, you're going to be left behind and your business is going to suffer.    Brooke talks about what this pivot looks like, especially when it comes to foundation. It's thinking through the, what experiences do you have to set yours yourself apart? You have to have a personal brand in this new age of network marketing. If you don't have a personal brand and you're relying on your company's name, it's not going to work.  You have to stand out.   You've got to know who you serve. You need to have a mission. You need to have a personal brand. If you don't have those, you will be left behind. It may take a year. It may take two, three years, but five years from now  you will not have a business. So what can you start doing right now in order to figure this out? How can you build this really solid foundation? Social Tenacity can help. Social Tenacity is different from a lot of the other people out there, from your uplines, from other people that are telling you, this is how you should do network marketing.   We want you to position yourself as a real business owner and that you have this personal brand, you have this way of how you want to help people as well as coming from that servant leader. Inside the academy we show you how to identify who your person is and understand the things that are unique about you and how you can marry that with the problem that your company solves or your product solves. This is really the new way of building that foundation of your business.   “It's all about having that personal brand and having people reach out to you for help.” - Brooke Elder.    If you're interested in learning more about the proven system that we teach inside the academy at www.authenticinfluenceracademy.com.    How to get involved If you are ready to take your business online and have the system to free up your time AND bring in the customers and recruits you want, check out www.socialtenacitytraining.com! Lean into Fear to Become the Best Version of Yourself   “Every time I do that one thing that terrifies me, I never regret it.”   Amber Dorton   In today’s Podcast Brooke interviews Amber Dorton who shares her inspirational journey of overcoming fear and becoming confident and successful.Amber hopes that by sharing her story she can help even one person realize they already possess a talent or strength within them to act on their dream.   Both Amber and her husband lost their jobs in the recession of 2009. Her husband found a job, but Amber struggled and finally decided to fall back on something she knew she was good at where she could work from home. She used her baking skills and took free classes at a local craft store and learned how to decorate wedding cakes. She discovered she had a natural talent that she could use to help make an income for her family.   “I want people to just believe in themselves, just try, just one step at a time.” - Amber Dorton   Amber took a job at a school where she was making money, had benefits and was able to raise their credit score. The downside to the job was she worked for someone who made her feel really bad about herself. She was just one of those people that was always going to find the negative. She would go to work everyday with a knot in her stomach and she felt horrible about herself. She became more and more insecure and hated the person she was turning into.   She started listening to podcasts during her commute to and from work.  That was the beginning of building her mindset and getting into a better place.  One of the things that turned things around for her was learning the importance of a morning routine and waking up a little earlier and doing some journaling. This change of mindset helped her become a more positive person.   In March of 2020 when COVID hit, the world as we knew it changed. Amber lost her job and joined a direct sales company so she could work from home. She felt that all the scripts and all the things that they were telling her to do made her feel disgusting. Then she discovered Social Tenacity and how to market authentically.   Amber stated that this program has changed her life and she wants people to just be brave, just be brave for that minute. Just do it because it does work.     “You got to get out of your own way and just let it happen.” - Brooke Elder   If you want to reach out to Amber and find more about her amazing journey, you can find her on Facebook and Instagram. https://www.facebook.com/amber.dorton.96 and https://www.instagram.com/joinedatheart/.   How to get involved If you are ready to take your business online and have the system to free up your time AND bring in the customers and recruits you want, check out www.socialtenacitytraining.com! Alyssa “Twist” Light is a professional speaker who helps businesses grow by utilizing the power of storytelling in every aspect of their operations, especially marketing. She does it on the spot. Right there. With business owners and sales people she's never met before, Twist asks a few questions and like magic comes up with marketing design, hashtags, positioning, value props, and branding. Her most recent success outside of her speaking work is Social Innovation Monthly, an offline subscription of social media “recipe cards” that help businesses engage in more powerful and consistent storytelling.   Twist has spoken at Landscape Ontario's Congress, Ontario Irrigation Conference, CreativFestival, Halton Police Service, Go Camp Pro, Social Tenacity, HortEast, and the Ontario Camp Association among others. A self proclaimed lover of conferences, Twist's mission is to make event planners look like superheroes and delegates feel like rockstars.   She has also been a guest on dozens of podcasts, including The 6 Figure Events Podcast, Authentic Influencer, Service Business Mastery, and Podcast Domination.   Here's what we covered on the episode: Why Client Love Is Important + How It Can Help Your Business (1:07) We originally met Twist on episode 122 of podcast, which was all about telling better stories ― today's follow up episode is about the client love journey Twist says loving on your clients all the way through their journey is a huge part of the story  If you have a small offer, maybe it's a workshop, Twist suggests getting addresses of those who attended and sending a card in the mail that says, “So glad you joined us” because little things like that build relationships  Twist shares an example of when she spoke for an organization called Landscape Ontario over a webinar where they couldn't see her and she couldn't see them, but they were all chatting about the things had sent them in the mail How Twist gave an in-person speech for the same organization a few years earlier where she collected business cards with mailing addresses and when she traveled to England that year she sent all those people she had collected business cards from a postcard  By sending postcards, it deepened Twist's relationship with them and also deepened their story with her and Landscape Ontario, who had her speak  When we appreciate clients in a way that matters to them, they start talking and that love turns into marketing  You should be sending cards, experiences or something to your clients regardless of your offer is a small or big  The time Twist received an experience gift for helping out at her friends mastermind retreat, which was not planned so her friend sent her an escape room game and she shares she'll never forget the experience of playing that game with her family  Why you should pay close attention to what your clients like to do, what's important to them and who's important to them because if you know these things, you'll be able to send them something meaningful  What Twist's Doing In Her Business + Examples of Client Love (11:13) Twist is currently doing virtual gigs and shares she just started with one of the best speaking agents in the business so she'll be doing more online speaking in the coming months  On the last episode, Twist talked about how her business created course enhancing assets but says now what they're doing is complete course builds for people and businesses that have an idea but don't have the people or time to make a finished product they can sell  How they build the entire framework for the course in 24 hours, come back to the client ask for their input and then they create the whole course for them ― they do everything, right down to putting it into their software system   Twist clarifies that they are not selling the course for clients, they will do the messaging, marketing, positioning, start building out their social and design sales pages, etc. but the client needs to be the front piece when it comes to selling Twist shares that everything they've done up until this point has been from referrals or rebooking and shares she doesn't put out any organic content, but that may change because they're working on putting out some great workshops One of the biggest things we need to consider is how people want to be treated and we can answer that by thinking about how we want to be treated, this goes for your clients and team because how you treat your team is how they're going to treat your clients  Why Twist starts her weekly team meetings by asking her team what their win of the week was  There is a lot of simple ways to love up on people that cost no money, like sending an email when something great happens for them, when someone has a milestone in their family, if someone had a baby, or someone passed away ― doing something small to let them know you're thinking about them goes a long way  Twist shares an example of when she purchased a magazine for the Landscape Ontario's event planner's kid based on a conversation they had about a topic her kid liked and says she was touched by the gift ― when Twist later asked her to be a reference for another speaking inquiry she was more than happy to tell them how Twist treated her and everyone else Why Twist keeps in touch with participants from events she's spoken at because when they are thinking about bringing in a speaker, they'll most likely want the one who cares about their people and are more likely to refer her to other people  How Twist doesn't do these things to get referrals, she does them because it's the right thing to do because that's how she shows people she cares, which is what they remember about and then she gets referrals and rebooked  If you give someone something that matters to you and not them, it means it's not about them, it's about you and it should never be about you  Connect with Twist on Facebook   Links mentioned:   Social Innovation Monthly   The Why you're really not succeeding in network marketing - hype   “If you want to build a real sustainable business, you’ve got to get skills, you have to get help, it’s not the hype.”   Brooke Elder   In Podcast Episode 123 Brooke delves into the reasons why you may not be succeeding in your network marketing business. The one thing that kills a business faster than anything else is hype.    Companies want to build up this hype because when there’s hype, then people get excited. When they're excited, they push themselves out of their comfort zone. So of course, people know, companies know that if we can push people out of their comfort zone, it's going to be way easier for them to hit their goals and everything. And for them as a company to make more money, right? So that's why they build all the hype around everything.    “It takes dedication, anything worth doing does, because if it didn’t, everyone would be doing it.” - Brooke Elder.   Network marketing is an amazing vehicle. It takes care of all your customer service, product development, all of the legal issues. It takes care of all the “hard.” Your job as a consultant is to learn and get skills to  know sales and marketing, because if you are just relying on hype, there is nothing really tangible behind it.   It’s all about the user experience that you are actually providing people, whether it be through your products or through your opportunity. You need to talk about things in a way that will set the expectations the right way or it’s not going to work because you build up the hype and people have the wrong expectations.    When expectations are set the right way customers will stay customers and team members will stay on the team long- term. The industry average for a consultant to join a network marketing company is to stay  for three months, that’s it! The turnover is so high because most people join because of hype.   Why would anyone have a nine to five job if you could just sign up for a network marketing company and just sit back and make money. Posts that promise a work from home job that’s easy, just sign up and make money. That’s selling based on hype. Everyone knows that’s too good to be true.   Inside Social Tenacity’s Academy we teach how to recruit and build your business on a solid foundation with the tools and skills you need. You will learn how to talk to a recruit or potential customer and how to find out what their pain points are and the things they are struggling with and how to connect them back to what you are trying to sell them or with your opportunity. And we do it all in a way that is serving them, because Social Tenacity is all about service.   “We have a new financial partner that will approve everyone for financing.” - Brooke Elder.    At Social Tenacity we have low monthly programs, year long programs and other tools that we offer to help your business grow authentically to build connections, all without hype. Finding Your Inner Beauty   “I had to learn about me, what makes me work and find my beauty, because if God is perfect and He gives us all beauty, I have it.”   Kirstin Baxter     In today’s podcast we talk with Kirstin Baxter who has been in the Social Tenacity program for four years. She is the best example of having tenacity and stepping out of your comfort zone and doing hard things time and time again. She is an empath and growing up as she would try to connect with people and serve them she was told that she took things too seriously.    She felt that in some way she was flawed because she had a sensitive side. Her goal became to try and to be strong and serve other people and help them feel good in a way that wouldn’t make her feel like that flaw was taking over. She became a teacher for a few years and then took a sabbatical from teaching when she became a mom. She tried to find something that helped her feel more like herself and not only the mom of a child. “When you don’t love yourself already and don’t have self-confidence, it makes it really hard to step out of your comfort zone.” - Kirstin Baxter.   Something that we forget or push aside is that when we seek to be a new mom and want to be with our kids, we set up so many obligations and expectations for ourselves. We assume that this is what we're supposed to be. We're supposed to be amazing at breastfeeding. We're supposed to love to clean the house all day. We're supposed to want to make beautiful bows, to put on our kids' heads and all of that, and just enjoy staying at home. When we aren't finding all that joy, we feel like we're failing.   It is important to set a relationship with yourself and be authentic to who you are. Start keeping commitments that you made to yourself, like setting work hours or family time. Then find ways to celebrate little things that you do for yourself  and ways to love where you are at and who you are.   The way you can get over fear and doubt is courage and confidence. The way that we build confidence is by creating a space where we can keep promises to ourselves. When we are true to ourselves and true to our commitments, that’s also going to build confidence.   Sometimes you may have self negative thoughts, but you should never give up on yourself. Everyone has their own individual strengths. Once you discover what your strength is, you learn a lot about who you are and how your strength can help you in your own authentic way to serve the world.    When you recognize your inner beauty you will be able to influence the world in your own way. When you allow yourself to be your authentic self, you can serve others and help them even more to see their greatness. We all have our own light, but we all need each other.   “As we recognize the needs and the ways that we can give and work together, we can truly lift the world and be stronger together.” - Kirstin Baxter   We should stand like elephant moms. Instead of running away with fear, when a predator comes, they stand side by side with their back toward their young, toward the predator. And they stand in solidarity saying, go away predator, you have no place here. And the lion or whoever it is will give up and walk away. And these elephant moms don't look at each other and be like “her size, my goodness”, or “who am I to stand next to these ones? They're so much taller than me.” They don't do any of that. They say, no, we're strong because we're together. And because we're together, we will continue to be stronger.    How to get involved If you are ready to take your business online and have the system to free up your time AND bring in the customers and recruits you want, check out www.socialtenacitytraining.com! Is your Leader REALLY Navigating you to the right destination?   “Most leaders in network marketing don’t have a clear path”   Brooke Elder   In episode 119 Brooke tells the story of two men who lead individual teams to be the first ones to reach the South Pole in 1911.  Both teams reached the South Pole, but one team was successful and the other had tragic results.    The difference between the two groups was the leadership skills of their leaders. One leader had studied and done research on how to survive and navigate the harsh environment and conditions in the South Pole. He came up with a strategic plan and followed that plan without variations. The other leader thought he had everything planned and in place, but there were a lot of things that he missed and he was not prepared.   “We have to be the leaders in order to support our team and show them that we know the way.” - Brooke Elder.   Look at the kind of leaders that you have in your life. They say, ‘this is how I got to the top. Message friends you already have influenced.’’ But they already had a big network of people to talk to. When you have that big network of people to talk to it’s really, really easy to grow a network marketing business. On the other hand, you may not have that network built yet. So for your leader it is easy to say, look, just do what I do, but that’s not very strategic.   Most leaders in network marketing do not have a step-by-step plan. They think that it’s making lists of a hundred and reaching out to 20 people a day. You don’t have to be spammy in order to reach your goals!!!   You have to have a very set strategy, something that is researched, something that is tested, and apply that to your goal of success. That is what Social Tenacity provides.   Social Tenacity has so many different markets that they can test things in. So it doesn’t matter if you’re with jewelry or health or wellness or you’re with candles or in finance. It doesn’t matter. They take what works and put it into a very step-by-step strategic system to show you, this is what you can get as your outcome. That’s their whole goal, to look at the things that will help you in order to build your business.   At the beginning of 2020, before everything closed down, there was a big push for getting back to the basics - get back to face-to-face interaction. Then the world closed down and it was a huge pivot to go from face-to-face to how can we now do this online? This whole year, Social Tenacity is coming out with so many ways that you can take the things that they teach and you can help your team be successful.   “The way we do business, the way we do our network marketing company has changed forever.” - Brooke Elder.    You have to be the leader that has the plan. Social Tenacity has launched the Academy. It’s a brand new step-by-step game plan that walks you through, do this, do this, do this and this is the outcome. It will teach you exactly the things that you need to do to be successful and how to lead your team strategically. Here's what we covered on the episode: How Twist and I met at Sage and Tarzan's Legendary Life Event in the fall of 2019 The story behind why Twist stopped using her first name (Alyssa) and now goes by her nickname and why it's important to get names right on work From her stage work to her design work, Twist is continuously thinking about how the work she's doing will be received and how it will help somebody experience belonging and also create it for other people Why Twist feels so strongly about creating a sense of belonging and why she wants to put that into business, marketing, and everything she creates so the community she builds is strong and powerful Twist shares a couple stories from her childhood highlighting her entrepreneur skills from a very young age and shares that she's had a couple of jobs, but they didn't work out because she has really big ideas and sees things differently than other people do When Twist first started, she had to figure out her way through trial and error and explains what that process looked like, she also explains how she fell into speaking Why speaking made Twist want to have a portfolio because of one her biggest challenges with speakers are those who get on stage and say a lot, but don't have experience to back it up or don't have a willingness to go out and make those things happen for themselves Twist shares what she's doing now since the speaking industry is on hold due to the coronavirus such as, Social Innovation Monthly, which is a deck of storytelling recipe cards she sends out; each have a prompt, instructions on how to create your own post, why you're doing it and a sample, organic post Another thing Twist does is creates course enhancing assets for people with digital or in person courses and walks us through how she does that Twist talks about how she works with people to go through their client journey process and looks at different aspects of it so they can create a client love process, which is onboarding and offboarding, but also acknowledging the milestones in between to enhance the relationship Twist shares her love for quilting and explains how she got experience by wanting to make the industry she loves even better, so she started by helping a quilting business redesign everything start to finish for their business How Twist prepared herself for the speaking industry and stresses that every speaker's process is different and in order to get clients, you need to make sure what you're saying makes sense and communicate that to an event planner Even if you aren't being paid to speak, Twist says there is plenty of opportunity to get clients afterwards Twist shares that finding a local networking event that is looking for speakers can help you practice new content and says to have a strong point that the audience can do something with and then find out what they did with that information As you grow your business, Twist suggests looking for paid event opportunities that are within associations because they often have funds to pay speakers Twist suggests putting on your own event, such as a live video on Facebook and says to record it so you can watch yourself after and learn the language, body language, tone of voice, volume of your voice, etc. that you are using Why Twist started offering course enhancing assets for course creators because she became frustrated with courses she would take that offered no documents or interactive activity to reinforce what was being taught Twist gives real examples so we can see how not having documents or interactive activities can hinder your audience from actually learning Twist explains gamification, which can be very simple - the main goal is to make our audience feel like they achieved something and give them quick wins, whether that's checking off boxes, receiving stickers, or formatting your copy a certain way How Twist came up with the idea for Social Innovation Monthly through her passion of helping people express information and by realizing people needed an easy analogy to understand, which is how she picked recipe cards Social Innovation Monthly was originally thought of for just social media at the time with the idea of helping people tell better stories and tell stories better Twist shares that she started funnel hacking other people that were giving away or selling prompts and was not impressed with what she was given and thought about what was missing The thought process Twist went through to create Social Innovation Monthly and how it is completely unique and goes above and beyond for the subscribers by offering prompts, questions and templates The story of how Twist drove 40 minutes to print her sample recipe cards and glued them together by hand and took her idea to social media to see if there was an interest and how at the time of the launch Twist was doing everything herself What Twist had to learn and overcome while working on Social Innovation Monthly and how they made the decision to make it a membership and only do 12 months of content Check out Social Innovation Monthly to find out more information- Twist talks about their new system of doing open cart only through affiliates and asks if I would like to be a partner so my listeners can get access Twist suggests having another episode where we talk about the client love piece, so stay tuned for another episode with her Connect with Twist on Facebook   Links mentioned: Social Innovation Monthly (affiliate link) Connect with Twist on Facebook    Like what you heard? EP: 112 Why People Don't Set Goals

Why People Don't Set Goals   “You just have to learn to love failure because when things don’t work out, it actually gives you data.”   Brooke Elder   Today’s episode is something that has never been done before. Social Tenacity has just launched a brand new community called the Academy. Today’s podcast will share one of the courses all about Goal Setting from inside the Academy.     Most of the time people set their goals wrong.  They put limitations on themselves because they feel like they have to reach the goal right now. One of the lies or myths that is sold in the network marketing business is the idea that it is easy, if you just work hard enough you’ll be successful in three months. That’s not always true. When we set goals they need to be clear, written, and measurable.   “People don’t realize how important goals really are.” - Brooke Elder.   One of the reasons why people don’t set goals is because they think they aren’t important. If they weren’t raised in an environment where goals were discussed and emphasized, then it would be a little bit harder to set goals because they weren’t exposed to that process.   That is another reason why people don’t set goals,  they don’t know how to set them in the first place. Most people think they have goals, but in reality, it’s just a series of wishes or dreams. A goal is different than a wish, it’s clear, it’s written, it’s specific and it can be measured.   One of the biggest reasons people don’t set goals is the fear of failure. Our brains don’t want us to fail, so if we don’t set goals then we can’t fail. Many people make the mistake of unconsciously sabotaging themselves by not setting goals, that way they can’t fail. If we don’t ever set goals so we can’t fail, we’re always going to stay at a lower level, we are never going to become that best version of ourselves to see what we are really made of.   People don’t set goals because they have a fear of rejection. They are afraid that if they set a goal and they are not successful, people are going to criticize or ridicule them.    When you set your goals it’s best not to tell the whole world, because there will be naysayers and haters that will make it harder for you to achieve them. It is important however to share your goals with the people who are very close to you so they can support and encourage you.   “Happiness requires goals.” - Brooke Elder.    Happiness is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal or goal. When you are progressing and trying to achieve something, that’s when you will find true happiness. Goals give you a sense of meaning and purpose. Authenticity is KEY to Facebook Party Success   “The thing that is really important is you’ve just got to be your authentic self.”   Lilleth  Reed   Lilleth Reed has been in the tech field as a Network Engineer for about 25 years. The tech industry is very grueling and there are a lot of off-hours research, work,  and time investments. She began to realize that she needed to make a change in her life and step away from spending so much of her time working.   Lilleth ended up joining a network marketing company and she loved their product. She had started doing the whole “spammy” thing on Facebook when a friend of hers told her that there was a better way to do that and introduced her to Social Tenacity.   “Meeting you guys (Social Tenacity) was a turning point in my life.” - Lilleth Reed   Lilleth joined the Secret Society and from there went to Summit where she met the amazing women who were also in the Social Tenacity programs. From there she became an IPOR (In Pursuit of Recruits) graduate.   When she first started her business it was hit-and-miss and she wasn’t doing well at all. But when she started implementing the things that she learned, in just a few months, her business practically went through the roof with sales.   One of the things that Lilleth learned from Social Tenacity that she brought into her Facebook parties is, “it’s never about you, it’s always about them.”   Nobody cares if you make any sales. Everything is all about the hostess and how they can help her have a successful party. The friends and guests that show up are coming for the hostess, not for you!   Creating a partnership with the hostess and creating posts before the party to create interest and support will ensure a fun and successful event. Giving gifts and giveaways are also a great way to create engagement and excitement.   “The key to getting someone to buy is when you can take a product, show how it solves a problem, how to use it, or how it’s going to make their lives better.” - Lilleth Reed.    When Lilleth started she was doing the typical selling the “product”, but nobody cared about that. But as soon as she incorporated her personality into the “show” and showed how her product actually solved a problem, her sales have taken off. You can connect with Lilleth on Facebook where she shares her tips and tricks (and sometimes fun). Arrows Out Marketing You are Here to Serve   “We are over “me-centered” marketing.”   Brooke Elder   Today is episode 107, and we’re talking about arrows out marketing. I’ve discussed this topic on many different platforms because it’s so important. The arrows out approach is one way authentic influencers can create an amazing, personal, profitable, heart-centered business. So, how do you really do that? Well, it all comes down to arrows out marketing.    Network marketing hasn’t changed much over the last 50 years, and unfortunately, many companies are still using the same tactics, which are very authority-driven. The idea behind this marketing strategy includes building authority in your industry, so people come to you if they want your products or services. Yet, sadly, attraction marketing just isn’t working anymore.   “It’s horrible to jump on the tail end of a trend.” - Brooke Elder   Do you want to be stuck using old strategies that aren’t as effective? Or do you want to transition into a new way of marketing? Using attraction marketing will not get you the results you desire. In fact, this approach is kind of like finally adopting skinny jeans after high waisted jeans become the new popular trend.    Marketing strategies today are switching from an authority driven scenario to a conversation and connection marketing approach.    Network marketing is all about creating a connection.   So how do you create a connection? The answer is simple. Your marketing efforts should change to fit what other people need, and people crave social relationships and community. Creating a marketing connection is softer and less in your face than many conventional authority strategies.    An arrows out approach to marketing means you want to make those unique connections with people. Alternatively, an arrows in approach directs people to you because everything is already about you. Sadly, an arrows in approach is very selfish and self-serving.    To establish an arrows out marketing strategy, you want to serve and build connections by focusing your efforts outward. What can you do to help others? For example, instead of posting on Facebook stating you need $500 and could use some additional customers, consider how you can earn $500 by helping or serving someone else and providing a solution to their problem. That’s the service business, not the product business.    “This may be mindblowing...but you are not in the product business...you are in the service business. You are here to serve others.” - Brooke Elder   When you bring in the connection, it’s a whole new way of marketing, and it’s all service-based. People begin relating with you on a personal level, and your individual accolades don’t matter.   “The world is changing, and if we don’t change with it, we’ll be out like bell-bottom jeans.” - Brooke Elder   Instead of sitting down and creating a post that revolves around you and your needs, ask yourself the question mentioned above, ideas and thoughts will come to mind. Maybe you’ll remember a personal story to share or a random person to tag.    When you approach your marketing efforts with a different mindset, imagine how different the world could be. When you start using your personal experiences to connect with others, you can help them through a similar experience. Remember, network marketing is changing and shifting. Arrows out marketing is all about how you can look to serve someone else.   Social Tenacity’s new program is all about turning from a me-focus to creating a connection with others and finding ways to serve them. Authenticity is Key  to  Network Marketing Success   “There are people looking for solutions, and you can show them [solutions] in the right way by leading with your heart and adding value first.”   Sarah Cole   Sarah Cole is a trained and licensed nurse anesthetist, and despite earning a 6 figure income, was living paycheck to paycheck due to student loans and other personal circumstances. Her goal of becoming debt-free seemed unattainable. However, Sarah began her Social Tenacity journey about a year ago and since has seen some significant changes in her business and income.   Sarah got into network marketing, not thinking it was something she would be interested in or do in the long-term. Although she was successful, she still felt stuck in the industry because she lacked passion and personal investment. Yet, once Sarah switched companies, she realized network marketing was her true calling and mission.  With a skyrocketing business, Sarah's finally realizing her potential and meeting the goals she's always dreamt of.   One of the main things Sarah attributes her success to is identifying her avatar.   “You have to figure out who it is you want to serve and get really crystal clear.” - Sarah Cole    Sarah also believes in writing down your mission and reviewing it every day. When it’s at the forefront of your mind, you are more likely to be successful at adhering to that mission.    A take-action mindset is also crucial to obtaining your business goals. If you can change your belief from how much you can sell or how much money you can make, to how many people you can help, then you’ll feel more fulfilled and confident in your business decisions.   Facebook groups are also an essential tool for finding the right people looking for your solution as long as you’re authentic. Sarah bypasses all the spammy Facebook content and searches for people suited to the solution her company provides. These people match her avatar, so when she speaks to them, it’s in ways authentic to them.   You’ve got to keep working at it. Success is not going to be instant, so it’s important to take things to the next level and give people the tools needed to succeed. Let your team use their brain so they can make their business into something they’re proud of.   When Sarah posts on Facebook, she thinks about the one person she’s helping. By doing this, her message is more relatable and connected to her audience.    Additionally, she helps her team see quicker results and build confidence by encouraging them to share personal success stories in Facebook posts and comments. This way, she is planting the seeds of authenticity through various Facebook groups and allowing potential clients and recruits to come to her through replies and friend requests.   “Putting [your] solutions in [your] content [allows] people to see it and be enlightened to what is possible for them.” - Sarah Cole   If you don’t have a forward-thinking mindset, your business will be harder to sell and stand by. When you realize you are in the industry to help people find solutions to their problems, you will attract other like-minded individuals.  This will also help you grow your team with people who resonate with you and your mission.    Many network marketers struggle with creating a positive mindset. It can be difficult for them to build self-worth and the belief that they are deserving of more in their life. For Sarah, helping her team establish and grow a healthy mindset is one of her number one priorities.   “The people who are successful are those who think; I can do this and take action.” - Brooke Elder   To learn more about Sarah, you can find her on Facebook and Instagram or through her Balanced Brillance Facebook group.   How to get involved If you are ready to take your business online and have the system to free up your time AND bring in the customers and recruits you want, check out www.socialtenacitytraining.com! Be You, Everyone Else is Taken   “We’re far beyond just  being told what to do.”   Roseanne Dawes     Today, we're excited to review how to be unique and authentic within your business. Rosanne Dawes is one of our mindset coaches here at Social Tenacity. Today she shares some helpful ways you can practice connecting with your heart by acting on first impressions. In this podcast, we also talk about how you can be the best version of yourself rather than mimic someone else.   Who am I? That is a huge question. What makes you special and unique?  To help you understand your mission and purpose, think about a coin. There are two sides to every coin. On the first side of the coin, discovering your divinity and connecting with your higher power is crucial.    The first side also involves understanding that you are much more than just your current existence. The second side of the coin includes your individual purpose within your existence. It encompasses the thing that only you can offer the world. What makes you come alive? What are you passionate about?   “Drop down into your heart and just start listening.” - Roseanne Dawes    Pretend that you’re in the middle of your heart because this connects you back to your body.  If your heart could speak,  what would it tell you? How would it prompt you to act? As you ponder this question, trust whatever your first thought is. As long as it’s a good thought, then it’s probably a good concept. Practice dropping into the middle of your heart every day by asking yourself a question. This is step one in the process of learning to trust yourself and to become authentic. As you build your business,  think about what makes you come alive. Your upline does things that make them feel alive, but that may not always resonate with you. It's essential to review your passions and figure out what really drives you.   As you go throughout your day, what things help you come alive? It’s a discovery, and that’s what is cool about building a business. It’s understanding and uncovering who you, as well as unveiling your life purpose.   Every experience you have, good or bad,  leads you to your purpose. When you act on your inspirations, you start to learn to trust yourself. With every action, saying yes to the next prompting becomes that much easier.     If you have a good thought, act on it. When you are inspired to do something outside of your comfort zone, realize that the outcome will be far better than if you chose not to act. You may never know why you get individual impressions, but it’s essential to trust them, and then great things will happen.   “When you act on [inspiration] you have no idea what amazingness is on the other side” - Brooke Elder   Will you act on the impressions you receive?  Even if they seem small and weird, it's crucial to respond. As long as the idea is good, just act. You'll be able to move forward faster when you've practiced exercising that muscle daily.   Listen to your intuition every morning. What is the one thing you can do today for your family, business, or self? As you repeat this exercise, you'll be amazed at where your life and business will be within a month.   “Give yourself grace along the way and keep following those bread crumbs.” - Roseanne Dawes    How to get involved If you are ready to take your business online and have the system to free up your time AND bring in the customers and recruits you want, check out www.socialtenacitytraining.com! Using Subscriptions to  Grow Your Customer Base   “Don’t overcomplicate it,  just put it out there.”   Debbie Stewart   Debbie Stewart is a direct sales consultant for the nationally recognized company, Scentsy, and has created a unique way of growing her business with Social Tenacity's guidance. We helped her unlock her potential to create an amazing personal brand. Now, Debbie has a thriving business and a successful monthly subscription she can stand behind.   Before she found Social Tenacity, Debbit felt stuck in the marketing strategies her company's upline recommended. She didn't feel as inspired and wanted something more. She needed to set herself apart from everyone else.     Then, a friend introduced her to one of our podcasts, and she was intrigued by the things we teach. Over the last year, Debbie has grown in some spectacular ways and shares her insight on how she developed her monthly subscription boxes.   “When you start, it might be pretty basic,  but as you keep going, you’re going to start to figure it out and it’s going to get better and better.” - Debbie Stewart   If doing a monthly subscription box could work for your business, here are a few tips.    First, have a theme and pick a price point. When you select a price point for your box, think about what you would be willing to pay. Let's face it; if you wouldn't be willing to pay the big bucks for the box, your customers won't either. Debbie settled on $20 and her subscription has been a huge success.    Debbie's brand is more than the product. It's also her personal touches that create joy and happiness. So, every month she chooses a theme for the boxes she sends to each client. She includes her product and little extras that generate excitement and joy. Debbie believes that attention to detail makes all the difference for people.   You will find ways of making things work for you in your business.   If the typical marketing strategies aren’t working for you, there are always different ways to grow your business. There are so many things you can do to become successful. However, it takes effort and willingness to think outside the box, no pun intended.   A monthly subscription box is more than the products inside; it’s the reorders too. While each box puts the product into customers’ hands, it also introduces them to things they may not have otherwise bought themselves.    “Sometimes we get so stuck as network marketers...but there are a hundred and million one-ways to [market your product].” - Debbie Stewart   For example, in July, Debbie was inspired by Katy Perry's song, Firework. She created a box that fit the theme, but that also added purpose. She chose several products that met the theme and also added a personal touch by putting the lyrics to Katy's song with each product. Debbie also uses Pinterest for ideas to create a unique feel that inspires others while also making them happy.   To subscribe to Debbie’s boxes, you can visit her VIP group on Facebook or find her on other social media platforms by clicking here.   How to get involved If you are ready to take your business online and have the system to free up your time AND bring in the customers and recruits you want, check out www.socialtenacitytraining.com! Finding Success in Just 6 Weeks   “It’s all about focus...and what will move the needle the most while giving us the time freedom we want.”   Brooke Elder     Welcome back, Authentic Influencers! Today is all about time management, which is one of the best strategies and skills you can learn,  to see results in your business quicker. One way to manage your time more efficiently is by creating a six-week sprint. Many network marketers struggle with managing time, and enacting a six-week sprint is one way to help you be more productive.   Why six weeks? I like to set goals in time frames of six weeks because, in 30 days, you usually know if something is working or not. The two extra weeks surpass the one-month threshold. This is helpful, so the last ten days of the month aren’t as stressful or crunched for time.   “To get out of that [self-destructive] pattern, it’s more important that we create habits and systems that will start working for us all the time.” - Brooke Elder   How do you create a six-week sprint? Well, start with a goal. What is something that you want to accomplish within the month or 45 days? Write the goal down. Next, establish milestones. Milestones are baby goals that help you achieve your big goal. They should be achievable within one week. Developing benchmarks help you create systems that allow you to hit targets all of the time instead of just at month-end.   For a six-month sprint, you will need to select six milestones. Then, each day, write down three things you are going to do to achieve that goal. Use your planner, calendar, or phone. I have an extra fancy planner I use to write down my daily goals and take notes. Use whatever works best for you.   Three should be your magic number. If you plan any more than that, your brain may start to feel overwhelmed, and you'll be less likely to achieve success. However, if you end up accomplishing more than three things in a day, that's all just a bonus, and you become an overachiever.   Plan out your week ahead of time. I like to time batch, and I batch as much time as I can. This helps me focus on my priorities and accomplish my milestones more effectively. Did you know that the fewer decisions you have to make during the week, the more time you will focus on what you want to get done? You’ll be able to maintain excellent decision-making skills throughout the week, rather than come down with a bad case of decision fatigue later on.    Planning your week ahead of time is a crucial aspect of the six-week sprints we do at Social Tenacity. Not only do we examine the upcoming week, but we also look at the previous week and evaluate it. Ask yourself, what went well? What didn’t work so well? What could we do better?  When you review the previous week, you are more likely to be that much more successful the following week.   “It’s ok to change and to pivot...it’s something I do every week.”  -Brooke Elder   Final recap:   First, set your primary goal, then set 6 milestones. Next, what are your daily action steps? Pick 3, then when the sprint is over, evaluate the sprint as a whole. What things were successful, and what things weren’t? Finally, adjust and start again   If you’re interested in learning more visit our website at socialtenacitytraining.com   If you’re worried about time or training. We can help! “When you’re trying to save time, especially during the summer, it all starts with planning.” Brooke Elder (15:02 - 15:10) How to manage your business when the season proves crazy. Are you ready for summer madness? Whether you are a mom with kids ready to get out in the sun, or a school teacher with nothing but a desire to drink a (well-deserved) margarita, summer can be a really hard season for productivity. The eight to nine-week period has the potential to stall the growth of your network marketing business. Stay on track by implementing these three systems and maintaining momentum all year long! “Being a couple of months ahead of the curve is ideal… a lot of people try to wait until the last minute to take advantage of holiday promotions.”  - Chelsea Lewis (16:08 - 16:41) Here are some systems that will help keep you on track through the summer. Customer Relationship Management for Customer Follow-Up. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is a business strategy to manage the relationship between you and your customer. The goal is to track purchases, customers’ buying preferences, and send automated emails when they run out of a product. This could be as simple as keeping a record in your address book next to their name or using an online outline like Social Tenacity’s free one here! CRM is such an easy way for you to retain existing clientele and increase profitability for your business. Automated Team Training. This is not as hard as you think! With the availability of Facebook Live, you can host live trainings once a week through your Facebook group. There is also a new feature for Facebook groups called “Units.” It allows you to organize content into courses or posts by topic. Not big into Facebook? Then consider email sequencing training. Whatever you choose, make sure to manage your entire team in one place. Find what works best for you! A Yearly Plan. We understand the amount of work a network marketer has. A well-constructed plan for the entire year will ease the load. Sit down and brainstorm a theme for each month. Then put together three-months worth of content to stay ahead of the curve. It’s best to batch and schedule posts to keep you within one frame of mind. Not sure what to say or push? Think about what would be most helpful for your customers? Focus on their needs to plot valuable topics of discussion and relevant products. “Plan what you’re going to do. Everything is so much easier when you have direction.” - Brooke Elder (17:16 - 17:21) If you’re reading this and already pulling your hair out mid-July, then it’s time to start planning at least for the coming fall. Summer doesn’t have to be so worry filled. It’s possible to enjoy the season and stay productive in your network marketing business. This week, aim to choose just one system you can implement or teach your team for business clarity and mental sanity. It’ll make your life easier and the coming months smoother. Then you can relax in the sun with the confidence your business is right on track no matter the season! “The moment that you take ownership of you and your goals, the sky is the limit.” Krystan Samaniego (22:25 - 22:30) The power of a clear vision. Do you feel confused about who you are and where your business is headed? Or do you have the clarity you want and need? Heather Flores, Krystan Samaniego, and Hayley Zeidman were desperate for guidance. They were unsure about their messaging, audience, and overall purpose in life. But fate brought them together at the Authentic Influencer workshop I hosted in January. After meeting, these rockstars banded together and formed an unstoppable team in health and wellness. The online marketing tools provided through Social Tenacity helped them gain clarity to achieve their desired social prestige and success. If they can do it, then so can you! “There is so much freedom that comes with embracing the opportunity that you have to build yourself in network marketing.” - Heather Flores (18:11 - 18:22) Network marketing has the ability to not only impact lives around you but your own as well. It’s not just a career but a journey of self-discovery. Clarity is the foundation for beginning this rewarding journey. It’s the essence that establishes your mission and the direction of your business. Heather Flores was in a dark place before joining the Social Tenacity program. She felt her identity had almost completely slipped away after a traumatic pregnancy and birth. A career in network marketing presented a way for Heather to regain what she felt she had lost. However, she was repulsed by the culture of inauthenticity, spammy approaches, and still struggled to find herself. The workshop in January was her turning point. “Everything aligned that weekend,” Heather recounts. In some deep soul searching, Heather realized that her message had evolved. She was in the wrong industry! Once she switched, everything felt right. Just two months later, Heather savored an auto-bonus and rejoiced in her newfound confidence! Clarity helps you take decisive actions to get the results you want. Krystan Samaniego admits she had been doing network marketing the wrong way for almost 5 years. “I wasn’t getting the results that I wanted,” Krystan remembers. She was barely making ends meet. As she worked more hours away from home, the cost of therapy sessions and daycare for her autistic son and two daughters grew unbearable. Krystan knew there had to be a better way. Krystan found her saving grace through Social Tenacity. At first, Krystan, and her hesitant husband, were fearful of the risk and cost in such a personal investment. But she almost immediately started seeing results. Krystan realized her true passion was in helping driven mothers build the life of their dreams. It was with this clear vision that Krystan was able to devise and execute a plan that not only fulfilled her mission but allowed her more family time and a greater income. Clarity helps you fulfill your potential. Hayley Zeidman was really frustrated after joining a new business. Initially, everything was going smoothly with a successful downline. But then her team started dying down. “I felt in my heart that I had a lot to offer people,” Hayley describes, “but I just couldn’t.” The information Hayley needed to unlock her full potential wasn’t readily available through her company. She was hungry for more. Everything Hayley was in search of was found through Social Tenacity. Instead of solely focusing on the “how” in marketing strategies, Hayley started working on her mindset and behavior. My program motivated Hayley to fix everything that felt off in her life so she could thrive on a higher level of authenticity. Now Hayley is blossoming into her full potential and attracting other women to do the same. “Now, not only am I able to make an impact on my family, but I’m able to influence others and change the world as I’ve always wanted to.” - Hayley Zeidman (25:54 - 26:04) You have so much to offer. Your business has the potential to be life-changing. But you need a firm grasp on the basics of who you are, who you serve, and where you want to go. Don’t be afraid to explore your full potential and invest in yourself! If you work hard to declutter your thoughts and rid yourself of any toxins, then you can remove everything that is clouding your vision and holding you back. If you’re ready to reach the top and monetize your passion in an authentic manner, Social Tenacity may be the next step for you. It’s up to you to claim your power and gain clarity for your success! “Most of the time, doing the things that seem to be the most difficult will be what propels our business forward the most.” Brooke Elder (21:41 - 21:50) Alice is a coach at Social Tenacity, and she is an expert at helping consultants create momentum in all aspects of their businesses. Why you need momentum in your business. Having momentum can help you push through obstacles both in life and in business. When you're on a roll, things seem to move along smoothly. Tasks get accomplished, new members join your team, existing members are happy and productive, and goals get accomplished. In any business, it's natural that growth and excitement stalls a bit after the initial launch phase. It is during this period when momentum is especially critical. If you build a solid foundation and have the tools and techniques to manage time efficiently, you and your team will continue to flourish even if the company is in a plateau phase. “To build team momentum, give them goals, a system of how to get there, and accountability. People tend to fall off when there is no accountability.” - Alice (14:51 - 15:08) Building and sustaining momentum in all aspects of business. Let’s take a look at how to build and sustain momentum in your personal routine, your company, and in your team. Personal - Personal momentum is all about making the most of the time that you have available. To maximize your productivity, especially if you’re busy, try setting up rituals and creating a structure for your day. Set up your day in 30-minute blocks, and fill them up with tasks the night before. Schedule the most difficult tasks earlier in the day. Getting those out of the way will boost your confidence as you go through the rest of the day. Also, having rituals like a morning routine can get you in the right mindset so that you can accomplish more. One of the best things you can do each morning is to meditate. Insight Timer is an app that can help you get started in your meditation practice. Company - When your company launches, there is typically a lot of buzz. However, after a while, the excitement inevitably subdues, and growth seems to plateau. It is during this time that you need momentum to keep yourself motivated around your company. One of the best ways to remain enthusiastic is to explore the “why” behind what you’re trying to accomplish. Maybe you’re doing it to give your family a special trip, or it could be that you want to retire your husband. Whatever the reason might be, being clear about it will help you sustain momentum even if others in your company are stalling. Team - It’s not just you, but also your team that needs momentum to get through the plateau phases. Build momentum by giving your team goals, instructions to accomplish those goals, and by having systems in place for accountability. If they have a feeling that they are working together with others towards the same mission, they’ll remain enthusiastic. A couple of tools to help them minimize time wasted on social media, and to increase productivity are RescueTime, and Toggl. “There are no proven rituals that work for everyone. You have to find what works for you, and then do it consistently.” - Alice (5:21 - 5:29) Momentum is a critical aspect of growing your business, especially when your company or organization hits a plateau. “As long as you are staying true to who you are, there are plenty of fish in the sea for you to help.” Brooke Elder (21:53 - 22:00) Why you don’t have to worry about what others think as an Authentic Influencer.   The mission of Social Tenacity is to change the way network marketing is perceived. So you can imagine our fury when we stumbled upon a fellow network marketer’s (who shall remain nameless) Facebook page. A post read, “The catch to network marketing is you must accept a temporary loss of social esteem from ignorant people.” Excuse us? That’s just plain rude! Also, entirely incorrect. It’s actually not okay for you to be spammy, make your friends hate you, and assume everyone is dumb. It’s this kind of limiting mindset that got us podcasting in the first place. The career of a network marketer doesn’t have to be loathed or cringeworthy. It can actually be esteemed and enjoyable. When you become an Authentic Influencer you don’t have to worry about what others think. You can keep respect and gain success just by being YOU! “You don’t need to lose the respect and esteem of others in order to have success. Will some people not get it? Yes. But if they don’t get it, it’s better if they don’t get it on account of you being you and not someone else!” - NiCole Easton (5:53 - 6:11) True network marketing is about taking what you are awesome at and sharing it with the world in an authentic way through a product or opportunity. Here are the ways to become an Authentic Influencer and stand firm in who you are. Treat others as you would like to be treated. If you don’t like spammy weirdos, then don’t be one! Successful network marketing is built upon relationships. There should always be a two-way road of trust and respect. Work to keep it that way!   Recognize your offer isn’t for everyone. A handful of people will not resonate with what you’re selling. That’s okay! There’s plenty of other people who will! Try not to take this so personally. Acknowledge that the people who just don’t get it are not your people. Search for your true avatars to influence massive change.   Get over the shame in being an MLM. It’s most likely that any shame you currently feel as a network marketer is stemming from your embarrassment from what your upline is doing. Thankfully, you don’t have to be like them or follow their inauthentic methods to gain success. Accept that you are more than an MLM, find the method that feels authentic and let the magic happen!   Don’t pretend to be an outgoing person if you’re not. Ever heard of Russell Brunson? He is an introvert who became a widely successful online marketer and built a $360 million dollar software company. You don’t have to change who you are to be successful.   Step out of your comfort zone only to give your audience what they need. Again, you don’t have to force anything! Ask yourself if stepping out feels inauthentic or like personal growth? Recognize the massive difference between the two. Then do what feels right in order to bring value to your audience.   “It comes down to this. Are you going to own who you are, and what you want to do? Or are you going to apologize for it?” - NiCole Easton (10:23 - 10:31) It’s easy to get sucked into the stigmatized attitude and belief of what a career as a network marketer entails - harassment, spamming, and brainwashing. While some people sadly participate in such methods (with an army of minions), it’s comforting to know there is a better, more authentic way. All you have to do is be yourself! No one can argue or take offense to that. Even if they do, when you decide that other people’s opinions and thoughts are not going to change who you authentically are, you stand in a place of abundance. You embrace who you are and set your sights on those who you can help while letting go of those you can’t. So go ahead and cast your line out! There are plenty of fish in the sea who want and need your help. This week, test out this theory. Head to your social media page and tell your story. Ask whether anyone resonates and see who responds! Use that inspiration to push forward. Become an Authentic Influencer and own who you are to make your greatest impact! “There is a person inside of every woman, wife, and mother that is meant to shine for the rest of the world outside of the home.” NiCole Easton (16:32 - 16:39) You deserve to be supported. What you’ve got going on, is more than a “cute business.” Network marketing has the ability to transform lives and generate a sustainable income. But it can be difficult to assure your husband of all the returns in light of first investments. Even our own husbands, Josh Easton, and Ben Elder, were both reluctant to climb on board our Social Tenacity bus. They were fearful of accruing debt, sacrificing their own dreams, and the unknowns of starting our own business. However, by eliminating one fear at a time, our husbands were able to change their mindset, offer their support, and eventually hand us the batons as breadwinners. “My mindset changed… I realized my wife could support our family, and my dream could come true because I would be at home doing what I wanted to do.” - Josh Easton (13:01 - 13:18) “To other guys who may be listening… maybe you ought to be the one staying at home? It’s possible that your wives may be better at making money than you… just saying.” - Ben Elder (14:20 - 14:30) There are so many “what if” questions surrounding the creation of a new business that may be the culprit to  your husband’s reservations. What if we accrue debt? What if I can’t fulfill my own dream? What if nothing good comes out of this? Well, what if this new endeavor will change both of your lives for the better? Breakthrough these fears to reassure your husband and gain his support. Accruing Debt. The first steps in a new business will feel like leaps. Sometimes a large investment is necessary right at the beginning. This can feel overwhelming to your husband if he is a penny pincher like Josh Easton was, or already in debt like Ben Elder was. However, you need to invest in order to see a return. It’s all part of the process. Speaking from experience, we’d strongly encourage you to first consult your husband before spending away. Show them your passion and commitment to making this new business work. A husband is more likely to take on debt in the beginning if you are confident in the end results. Sacrificing His Dream. You are not the only one with a dream. Your husband has a purpose he would like to fulfill. Josh Easton loved fatherhood. So much, that he desired to be a stay at home dad. Ben Elder hated his job at an online retail business and was searching for something better. Both our husbands were able to reach their dreams by embracing ours! Your dream may actually coincide and not require a great sacrifice on your husband’s part. Sit down and have an open conversation about each of your wants and needs. It’s possible for everyone to win. The Unknown. We would never lie to you. There is a chance your business could tank. But there is also a chance it could take flight! The question is, are you willing to take the risk? If you’re unsure, reflect on the cost of not doing it versus doing it. Forget the cash flow for a moment! Both of our husbands attest to the amazing transformation we have undergone since starting Social Tenacity. Entrepreneurship provides an opportunity for you to increase confidence in the pursuit of your passion. Remember, on the other side of big decisions await possibilities beyond your imagination. You won’t know for sure until you try. “It’s not about the big house, the Lamborghini, or whatever it is. It’s about all the people you get to help and the lives you get to change because you’re doing what you’re doing.” - Brooke Elder (19:45 - 19:59) Starting your own business is a risk and can be downright terrifying. We were fortunate enough to gain the support of our husbands when we first started our entrepreneurial endeavors. They have encouraged our growth, provided perspective, and kept us grounded in our journey. Now, we are the breadwinners and sole providers for our families! However, not every husband is as willing. Even after discussing any fears surrounding your new business, your husband may not climb on board. If this is the case, don’t proceed alone. Let us come alongside you. We believe you have something truly remarkable and unique to offer the world that deserves support. Do you? This week dig in and reflect on what you really want. Find the person who can best support you and sit down with them to write out your six-month goals. Then jump right in! Take a leap of faith to become the entrepreneur and person you are meant to be. We’re ready to hold your hand if no one else will. You got this! EP33: Having Success With or Without Support from the Ones You Love

“You may not have the support of the very person that you care the most about, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t have success.” NiCole Easton (4:55 - 5:03) You are capable of success with or without support from the ones you love. Watch your step! You’ve pulled into your first stop in your new network marketing journey beaming with excitement. The timing is right and you’re sure this is the best route. But when you open your big bus doors, not even your family and friends step on board in support! What gives? We can understand your disappointment. Resistance from people you admire, treasure, and respect usually stem from either a place of envy or true love. Neither are easy to swallow when all you want is for one person whom you greatly trust to confirm you are making a good decision. Sadly, you might not get this confirmation. When you’re confident in your decisions, it’s important to push forward regardless of unsupportive uplines and family to reach success. “When you don’t have the support of your family or husband, it’s okay, if deep down you know this is the route that you need to take… to just push forward and do it.” -Brooke Elder (20:05 - 20:17) No matter who does or doesn’t step on your bus, you are capable of success. Gain the confidence to keep the wheels rolling by overcoming lack of support from uplines and family. Uplines. There are two types of unsupportive uplines. The first type is the upline who thinks you’re invisible if you don’t make money right away. A business bestie should be supportive along your entire journey - highs and lows included. Listen back to Episode 15 of our Authentic Influencers podcast for more insight on a proper business bestie and the importance they carry as a support to your business. If your upline is self-centered and only focused on the results, ditch them and find someone else to look up to. The second type is the upline who looks down on you if you’re not following her or his exact system in network marketing. Here at Social Tenacity, and on our Authentic Influencers podcast, we love a good rebellion. In fact, we encourage it! We teach female entrepreneurs how to gain success by going against the grain every single day. Just be mindful that our tactics may ruffle some feathers. In that case, consider going your own way especially if what you’re doing is working! Any upline who is unsupportive of doing things in an unorthodox, authentic, true-to-yourself way, doesn’t deserve to be on your bus. Kick them off and make room for the people who actually care! Family. Of course, you want to fill your bus with the ones you love. But this doesn’t always happen. If there is resistance, initiate a candid conversation. Communicate with your husband and family and explain why network marketing is the best route. When you know exactly what you want, people are more likely to get on board. Be confident with a plan of action, especially if your husband is a businessman. Lay it all out on the table and see what happens. There is a chance that even after you do this, no one will step on board. Don’t translate this as disbelief in your abilities. Your husband and family want to protect and keep you safe. Their hesitation is only due to their fear of the unknown in your new endeavors. With or without their support, you still got this! Don’t give up! If you honestly believe that what you’re doing is the best for you and your family, then push ahead. Be confident that you know what is best, and just do it! “Where the greatest risk is, there is the greatest reward on the other side.”  -NiCole Easton (20:22 - 20:27) Let’s be realistic. The first couple of months in network marketing may feel less like a party bus and more like you are a lone rider on a horse. It’s incredibly lonely to move forward without the support of uplines, your family, and husband. Thankfully, we have a community of women ready to travel alongside you! This week your aim is to join our Facebook group. Let us support your ambition and encourage you to become the network marketer you were meant to be! We understand the risk in trailblazing ahead without support, but we are living proof of the immense reward waiting on the other side if you push on. Keep those wheels going round and round with or without the support of your loved ones. Open up your big bus doors to our Authentic Influencer community and let us step right in. Next stop, success! EP22: Unleash Your Super Power

“You are not the hero of your story.” - Brooke (3:03) In every great story, there is a hero who rises up to change the world with their unique set of superpowers. While the superhero takes the spotlight, behind the scenes you will almost always find a mentor or guide. The mentor is the one who helps shape the superhero, giving them sage wisdom and helping them find the tools necessary to save the day. Do you have someone in your life to help you get to the next level of your business? Many network marketers would name their upline as their mentor. However, your behavior directly affects their income, and there can be a tendency to offer a formulaic process that worked for the upline but may leave you exhausted and fighting burnout. Finding a mentor outside of your business is a crucial step in ensuring that you find business strategies that fit your unique set of gifts and skills.   “Finding a mentor is about more than getting to the top. It is about impacting, empowering, and changing the lives of the people who chose to be under your leadership.” - NiCole (22:48)   Ideally, a mentor will make a great deal of effort to invest into you as an individual and an entrepreneur. However, in the world of mentors, not every service is equal. It’s vital to vet the mentor and make sure that it will be a worthwhile investment.   There are a few markers to help you establish whether or not a mentor will be a valuable asset to your marketing journey. It is important that your mentor is at least a few steps ahead of you. In order for them to be a guide, they need to have a good view of where you should be headed. What results are they achieving with their other clients? While monetary results and other metrics are important, are they helping their mentees develop in a way that will give them long-lasting success apart from the mentor? With recent technological developments, the business world has evolved rapidly. Thus, it is also important to make sure they have recently achieved results in the digital world. Are they relatable? Is this individual someone you feel drawn to? A good fit will be an individual that you really want to follow. Finally, are they promising massive results in a short amount of time? If so, there’s a good chance their marketing tactics are spammy, and a not a good long-term solution for sustainable growth and success. “Inauthenticity is exhausting, no matter the task. When you are authentic, you unleash your superpowers to the world to bring value and help people. It’s not exhausting pouring into people and seeing their lives change. That’s what authentic influencers do.” - Brooke (21:17)   Your challenge for this week is to find the best mentor for the current stage of your business. Finding a mentor is an investment, we know. However, you aren’t the only one who will be impacted by this investment. Everyone you work with - upline, recruits, and customers - will reap the benefits. When you are able to find someone to support you in your authentic way of doing business, you will have the ability to release your superpowers to the world, bring value, and help people. When you act authentically, you will find yourself empowered and energized. Our goal is not to get you to invest in Social Tenacity, but for you to tap into your superpowers and find the right guide to help you get there.
