Do you feel the need to refresh your brand or do a rebrand? Does your brand still represent your brand vibe and who you serve? Rebranding can be both scary and exciting but more importantly, it is an opportunity to bring major growth to your business. There are different reasons you might want to rebrand. You may have outgrown your old branding and logo, or you may want to evolve to attract a new Ideal customer avatar. Whatever the reason, rebranding can give your business the boost it needs to create new growth. From a design perspective, it's important that your website and brand mark stay current. So some reasons to rebrand would include:Updating an outdated website, so that your potential customers get excited about your product or service when they land on your website.Updating your logo if it's outdated or not aligned with your current products or services. One of the benefits of rebranding is creating an overall more consistent look and feel for your brand. So maybe it's just taking a look at your social media profiles, and updating your imagery and graphics to create a more unified look so that your brand becomes more recognizable. For example, I recently updated my Pictonat Photography website by refreshing the theme and how the colour palette is used and it felt amazing, more aligned to how I want to show upRebranding really breathes new life into your business. Something as simple as updating your logo and website can get you excited about your business again and when you're excited your customers will feel your excitement and want to engage with your brand. They will also feel part of your journey and more connected with your brand. You can even start small by updating the images on your website and improving your content strategy . Even this can help your business feel fresh and new.If you are going to rebrand you should also go deep into your ideal client avatar. Who gets you excited about your business and serving? How do you differentiate yourself from the competition? And also your why , why do you do what you do? What difference are you trying to make in the lives of others.Tune into the full episode to learn more about the strategies for successfully rebranding along with examples of entrepreneurs who have successfully refreshed and rebranded their business.Links mentioned in the episode:Sunrise Brand Collective courses on-demand: https://sunrise-brand-studio.mykajabi.com/store?preview_theme_id=3112015Follow the team at Sunrise Brand Studio on Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/sunrisebrandstudio/https://www.instagram.com/pictonatbrandingcreative/https://www.instagram.com/erindeanwilliams/Join our free private Sunrise Brand Collective Facebook group:https://www.facebook.com/groups/sunrisebrandcollective

Welcome to another episode of the Sunrise Brand Collective, we are so excited to have our guest Emily Milling, Founder of The Ultimate Creative to talk about how you can Evolve Your Brand and Business with a Podcast.Emily has produced, hosted, and taught others how to podcast, focusing on strategic brand and content. A comedy podcast junkie herself, she has helped multiple brands earn over $20k annually with their podcasts.Leveraging a Podcast to Evolve your BrandPeople can connect on a deeper level and share more information than a social media post. A podcast is a good addition to marketing mix to amplify sales funnel to get more people who would love working with you. A podcast helps to build trust, and it is another touch-point. With a podcast, you can do so much more and connect to people on a deeper level because you can adjust to their learning stylesGetting started with a podcastOne of the biggest barriers to starting a podcast is knowing where to begin! The key is just to start! A great way to start getting comfortable with audio is to grab your phone and record a 10 minute audio. Get used to the sound of your voice! You hear your own voice differently than other people. Tech is a common hurdle - all you need is a microphone and a computer to record your audio… OR… sign up for Emily's free mini course, how to start a podcast.Advice for business ownersThere's a misconception that you need a sponsor to start a podcast. It used to be 1000 downloads minimums to make $10… now it's thousands! What you have to understand is that the shift is away from having a sponsor. Instead, I recommend using your podcast to promote your own products and services. Put a promo at the beginning or the end about your offer. Drive them through your sales funnel and get them to where you want them to go.Listen to the full episode for more insight and tips on how a podcast can help your business and how to generate a list of podcast topics to start with.Links mentioned in the episode:Free Mini Course - How to Start a Podcast - https://theultimatecreative.com/startapodcastThe Podcast Rocket Course: https://theultimatecreative.com/podcast-rocketGet in touch with Emily at:Website: https://theultimatecreative.com/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/the_ultimatecreative/Follow us on Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/sunrisebrandstudio/https://www.instagram.com/pictonatbrandingcreative/https://www.instagram.com/erindeanwilliams/Join our free private Facebook group:https://www.facebook.com/groups/sunrisebrandcollective/

In this episode we chat with special guest Jennifer Singh, a TV reporter turned PR Strategist, Media Coach and entrepreneur. Jennifer's StoryShe was taking a look at what's happening in the world and found an ongoing trend where the majority of experts were older white males, and if these are the only experts being represented in the media, then that's only one one side of the story that we're hearing. So it was a real epiphany to see that the female voice wasn't being represented. She launched 'She's Newsworthy Media' and was determined to figure out how to work from home, as the commute was sucking the life out of her.How Media Exposure Can help Elevate Your BrandReal media exposure can set you apart from others in your industry. So putting yourself on a media platform almost gives your brand a stamp of approval, it gives you authority. How do you know if you have a story worth pitching? This is the number one issue or challenge that business owners have. She would honestly say you won't believe what the answer is for this, she would say the first thing is mindset. So many women she works with don't believe that their voice matters and that translates into their brand and their business. What media formats does she recommend? She personally recommends TV because that's where she has the most experience. When you are doing a print interview or a magazine interview, you don't actually have final say on what the final published product is going to look like. Tell us more about inclusive marketing how it relates to your businessThere are two pandemics, COVID19 and the one against black lives. There is more attention being placed on police brutality. The death of George Floyd shifted the conversation online, to not only the fight for justice and equality but also unleashed something on social media for BIPOC to speak out against other discrimination. The inclusive marketing track she went off on is really part of the fabric of who she is and what she stands for. So she started speaking up about BIPOC not being included and being marginalized. For the BIPOC community, this is how some people live everyday of their lives.Tips for inclusive marketingEducation on diversity and inclusion training. If you are being asked by someone to sit on a panel, for example, you need to ask who else is on the panel, so you don't end up agreeing to be part of something that's not inclusive. Education is key not only around the content you push out but also what you participate in and associate your brand with. Ask questions around inclusivity and compensation. Statistically BIPOC are not compensated financially as much as their white counterparts.Last Piece of AdviceShe just recently celebrated five years in business and she thinks the reason that she got this far and stabilized is because she sees everything as an exciting opportunity, and if she makes a mistake and she fails, there's always tomorrow and there's always a chance to redo something. Get rid of the fear and intimidation of failing, because failing is not a bad thing. She has two small kids and her husband is currently unemployed, so it's not to say that she doesn't have the family stress that everyone else has, but she chooses to see 2020 as an opportunity.Get in touch with Jennifer at:Website - www.shesnewsworthy.com/Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/shesnewsworthyInstagram- https://www.instagram.com/shesnewsworthy/Follow us on Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/sunrisebrandstudio/https://www.instagram.com/pictonatbrandingcreative/https://www.instagram.com/erindeanwilliams/Join our free private Facebook group:https://www.facebook.com/groups/sunrisebrandcollective/

Do you ever wonder what branding photography is and what it can do for your business? In today's episode, Nathalie talks about how personal brand photography helps a business grow.I'm sure you've heard the saying that a picture is worth a thousand words, and that's especially true when it comes to branding. The quickest way to get your brand identity across is through the images you use on your website and on social media channels. That's why branding photography is essential for any business owner. Let's take a deeper look into what personal brand photography can do for your business.Professional images for your brandBranding photography is a collection of high-quality, professional images created to visually represent your business and demonstrate your brand identity. These photos can include images of you and your team members, your workspace, your products, and any part of your process or daily activities.Humanize your companyOne of the greatest things about branding photography is that it gives potential and current customers a look at the faces behind your business. You may be intimidated by the idea of putting your face out there, but consumers are more likely to interact with and trust a company more if they can see the people behind the brand. Branding photos not only show customers who you and your team are, but they also give interested consumers a peek behind the curtain, so to speak, allowing them to see your process, your products, and what you do every day.Create a stunning first impressionDid you know that when someone visits your website or social media for the first time, you only have five seconds to make a first impression? You don't want them to be put off by low-quality images. Professional branding photos create visual interest in your business and give visitors to your website a positive first impression of your brand. The better you present your company, the more likely people will be to get and stay interested in what you offer!Increase engagement with your brandWhile strong content is essential to creating a solid brand identity, visuals are even more important, especially since quality images encourage more people to engage with your business online. Facebook posts with images receive 2.3x more engagement than those without images, according to Hubspot. That's why images are so essential, especially high-quality, professional branding photos. You can use your photos everywhereBranding photos are an investment, but one that's well worth it! You'll keep finding places where these photos come in handy, from your website and social profiles, to paid advertising,  email newsletters, and even as your podcast cover image. Having these photos on hand makes it easier to properly promote your business and show potential and current clients just how professional you are.Listen to the full episode to learn more about personal brand photography, the photoshoot process and how investing in branding photography can help your business grow.Links mentioned in this episode:https://pictonat.com/Follow us on Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/sunrisebrandstudio/ https://www.instagram.com/pictonatbrandingcreative/https://www.instagram.com/erindeanwilliams/Join our free private Facebook group:https://www.facebook.com/groups/sunrisebrandcollective/

In this episode we chat with special guest Jessica De Castro, an Experiential Marketing and Event Production Extraordinaire, about her story of developing a brand, launching an idea and moving past the fears and limiting beliefs. The Entrepreneurial JourneyJessica has been in the business development world for a decade, working with brands like Christian Dior, Mac Cosmetics, Holt Renfrew, and Aveda. She loves working in sales, marketing, and event production and wanted to bring that to life in her own business and take the entrepreneurial route. While in quarantine, the idea was birthed and executed quickly.Experiential marketingJessica's idea to birth a business on experiential marketing was born in August. With experiential marketing, she helps businesses create exceptional experiences that make a brand stand out. Thinking outside of the box ideas to engage with people in a way that hasn't been done before or is desired. It's so important to make impressions that are memorable and lasting. It's all about the unexpected and how you can WOW them.Brand Development and Launch ProcessIt was important to Jessica that who she is, is represented in her branding. For example, the handwriting font in her branding is the most similar to her own actual handwriting font. The launch process will be done in phases. What was important for the first phase of launch is to give a taste of what to expect - showcasing her brand vibe. The brand assets in place for phase one was her logo and professional branding photography. It was important to her that the photos represented her energy and self to shine.Limiting Beliefs and Overcoming FearsListen to the full episode to learn more about Jessica's inspiring brand journey, the limiting beliefs and how she overcame the fears that crept up.“Being liberated from your fears and limiting beliefs inspires people around them to do the same.” ~ Jessica DeCastroGet in touch with Jessica at:Email - Jessica@jessicadecastro.comFacebook - https://www.facebook.com/jessicadecastro8LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/-jessicadecastro/Follow us on Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/sunrisebrandstudio/https://www.instagram.com/pictonatbrandingcreative/https://www.instagram.com/erindeanwilliams/Join our free private Facebook group:https://www.facebook.com/groups/sunrisebrandcollective/

In this episode we chat with special guest Sabrina Greer, a Clarity Coach, best selling author, and Speaker + Podcast Host about her evolution in developing her brand, the importance of brand consistency, and how to balance it all.Sabrina's Journey - What brought her to where she is todaySabrina has a growth mindset and knows how to follow her inner guide, or what is in her heart. Her human design is to follow her sacral intuition and if it's not a hell ya then it's a no. It's taken a lot of time to learn this about herself and push the fears aside that we all experience as entrepreneurs. An abundance mindsetAlong with her growth mindset Sabrina has an abundance mindset which is essentially the belief that there is enough. So there is enough money, enough clients, enough space, enough energy. Whatever it is that is blocking you. It's easy to compare ourselves to others and think there is not enough for me.Her journey started with writing a small chapter in a book and she realized it didn't need to stop there. She could write her own book, she could start a publishing house of her own and support over 200 authors on their journey to writing their story and sharing their truth, she could start a podcast, she could do it all! Understanding that you can and following through.Consistent BrandingIt took a lot of failing forward and trial and error, she would throw herself out there and sometimes there were crickets. But what she found worked the best was when she was authentic and herself, speaking from her heart. Her core ethos is about supporting women on a mission and achieving their goals. She helps women start podcasts, create events, all the things that she's done showing them that it's possible. It takes bravery to put yourself out there but consistency comes when you are truly in alignment. The Fear of Being SeenThe fear of being exposed especially during these times is tough. When you build a brand and you are leading with your heart and your truest self, you are making it about them and not about you. Having a strong, unshakable, unwavering belief in what you are offering, because people will see through the fakes. It's hard work, but it doesn't feel like a hustle, it doesn't feel forced or hard because she loves her work so passionately. She's in flow and harmony. How to Balance it allLook at your business the same way you do motherhood. Love your business, nurture it and breathe air into it. A lot of people stop nurturing their business when it gets too hard, they don't allow it to evolve the way it wants to evolve. We guide our children and show them the way it's the same as our business. Allow feedback, and don't take it as an insult, because it gives you important tools on how to move forward from the stage you are at. Sometimes we need to walk away from things that aren't working. Don't force anything, just let it unfold, it's all going to be ok. Don't quit, the only way to fail is to stop! Keep going even if it's hard, and give yourself grace in the moment when you need a break. Schedule time for self care, take care of yourself first.“There's really no such thing as balance per se, it's really about forward motion, momentum, keeping going.” ~ Sabrina GreerGet in touch with Sabrina at:Website- www.ygtmama.comInstagram - @ygtmamaFacebook - https://www.facebook.com/ygtmamaFollow us on Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/sunrisebrandstudio/https://www.instagram.com/pictonatbrandingcreative/https://www.instagram.com/erindeanwilliams/Join our free private Facebook group:https://www.facebook.com/groups/sunrisebrandcollective/

002: Five Reasons Why a Website is Essential For Business with Erin Dean Williams

Today we dive into website strategy and why a website is one of the most effective ways for a small business to stand out in a busy online space - and where to begin. These key insights are gathered from co-host Erin Dean Williams, a Creative Director and User Experience Designer with over 10 years of experience designing websites and brands for both large corporations and smaller start ups.Erin shares the top five reasons why a website helps businesses stand out in a busy online space:1. Social Media Platforms Own Your Content.I'm not saying don't leverage your social media properties but we must remember that these platforms own your content and decide when and how to share it. You are ultimately creating content for them, helping their bottom lines and platforms shine. The exposure can be great but I would argue it should not take priority over your own website.2. Your Website Gives you Control. You decide the user experience, narrative, and messaging your potential customers see. Your website content, such as blogs and other resources, bring people to your website by increasing your SEO (helping you get found through Google searches) and building your authority and credibility. You can create offers, discounts, and content that bring value to your audience and drive sales.3. Your Website Builds Your Mailing List. They say people have to come in contact with a brand at least 7x before buying or engaging with their services. Having a great lead magnet or newsletter opt-in offer will help you build your email list, and by leveraging email marketing, you can share valuable content and offers through email keeping you and your brand top of mind.4. A Good Website Works for You.Creating a website with a strong content strategy will answer basic questions about your service offerings, brand and business ethos, and products 24 hours a day! Structuring your content properly will help deflect unnecessary calls and emails by helping people independently find the answers they are looking for online.5. A Website Is Expected.People expect you to have a website and when you don't they will most likely do business with your competitor who does.Listen to the full episode to learn more about website strategy and how to get started with building a website that is best for your business goals. Your online presence is your digital ID and we believe that it is the foundation that must be set up properly in order for a business to grow.Learn more about creating your own website by joining the Sunrise Online Brand Booster Mastermind that kicks off on September 15th.
