It's time for one of those huge episodes. Well, it's a three parter anyways. 2012 was for me, a little bit of a slacker for horror movies, some would say that not enough time has elapsed to make this assessment, I say, shnozwaddle! The highs are really high & the lows can be quite messy. But, what do I think was the very greatest horror movie that came out during 2012? Well, here we have the top 10. The worst 10. A slew of also rans. Some awesome mates. Some special guests. Several pints of beer and a 5 hours of running time split over 3 episodes. Meet Jack Perez! Jack is an Independent Film Writer/Director. He's a member of both the DGA & the WGA and has over a dozen feature films under his belt including the indie genre hit Some Guy Who Kills People, La Cucaracha, which won best feature at the Austin Film Festival, and The Big Empty which won Best New Writer at the AFI Film Fest. Jack also teaches and is the head of the directing track at Academy of Art in San Francisco. Jack and I have known each other for over 20 years and it was super fun to catch up with him and share where I'm at with Alone Girl. Our conversation spanned things like not getting caught up in festival placement, how important it is to go into the principal photography phase of your film as prepared as you can as a director, and of course, that age-old question - is a blank page a scary dark hole of nothingness or an exciting open sea of adventure and possibility? The Grindhouse Ghoulies microcast is back (fucking finally!) with two tales of reprisal: one, a mid-80s sexploitation sequel that has no idea what it wants to be; the other, an early 2010s John Landis-produced slasher-comedy with some surprising heart. Award-winning actor Barry Bostwick discusses The Rocky Horror Picture Show in a Movie Addict Headquarters vintage tribute to that bizarre cult classic. He also talks with Alan Levy, co-founder and CEO of BlogTalkRadio, concerning the popular midnight shows connected with this outrageous movie. Bostwick, who played the key role of “Brad Majors” (Susan Sarandon’s naïve boyfriend), speaks candidly about his experiences connected with the film -- including weather problems, what it was like working with Sarandon, his favorite scene in the movie, and much more. Bostwick has appeared in over 100 films and television productions. Although best-known as the clueless mayor on Spin City, he’s a triple-threat entertainer -- singer, dancer, actor -- who created the role of Danny Zuko in Grease on Broadway and won a Tony for his work in The Robber Bridegroom. He’s appeared in such TV programs as Cougar Town, Glee, Scrubs, Law & Order Special Victims Unit, Las Vegas, George Washington, and War and Remembrance (for which he earned a Golden Globe). Among Bostwick’s numerous movies are: Movie Movie; 101 Dalmatians II; Spy Hard; Some Guy Who Kills People; and FDR: American Badass. Let's do The Time Warp again!

Movie Addict Headquarters celebrates the 40th Anniversary of The Rocky Horror Picture Showin this special tribute to that bizarre cult classic. The episode features cast member Barry Bostwick reminiscing about his experiences connected with the film -- including weather problems, what it was like working with Susan Sarandon, his favorite scene in the movie, and much more. Surprisingly, Rocky Horror bombed when it first opened in 1975, but those entertaining midnight showings soon catapulted the film into cult status. And the film got a big boost when TV’s Glee featured its own version of the musical numbers. That episode became the most popular one of the series. Bostwick has appeared in over 100 films and television productions. He may be best-known as the clueless mayor on Spin City. However, he’s a triple-threat entertainer -- singer, dancer, actor -- who created the role of Danny Zuko in Grease on Broadway and won a Tony for his work in The Robber Bridegroom. He’s appeared in such TV programs as CougarTown, Glee, Scrubs, Law & Order Special Victims Unit, Las Vegas, George Washington, and War and Remembrance (for which he earned a Golden Globe). Among Bostwick’s numerousmovies are: Movie Movie; 101 Dalmatians II; Spy Hard; Some Guy Who Kills People; and FDR: American Badass.

Gill and Roscoe are back, rested, recuperated and ready to usher in another year of horror-hipsterisms for the frighteningly unfashionable. Join your hapless hosts as they once again brave the racks of Europe's Number One Single Price Retailer to bring you two more Poundland pulse-racers, "KFZ: Kentucky Fried Zombies" AKA "Die-Ner (Get It)" (2009) and "Some Guy Who Kills People" (2012). As if that wasn't enough, we're once again delighted to be joined by our dear friend and disrespected colleague, Bodacious Horror's Genuine Nerd, Thomas Hughes. Like the Ghost of Christmas Past, Thomas brings with him "Santa's Slay" (2005), starring WCW legend Bill Goldberg, and like old Ebeneezer, Gill and Roscoe vow to change their ways for good. One for the ages? Probably not, but there's plenty of good stuff to come in 2014. Thanks for sticking with us. Janie Haddad (@janiehaddad on Twitter) is an actress, vlogger (that's video blogger!), and self-professed comedy nerd. She has appeared on episodes of "Desperate Housewives," "Criminal Minds," "Monk," ""The Minor Accomplishments of Jackie Woodman," "Root Of All Evil," and appears in the upcoming film release "Some Guy Who Kills People", "a horror-comedy about a small town loser fresh out of the loony bin who seeks revenge on those he deems responsible for ruining his life," directed by Jack Perez ("Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus"). We talk about pursuing work in the entertainment business and dealing with rejection. She has also appeared on "Badge Ladies", a web series about the Lady Cop Division of the NYPD, which she wrote and produced with Samantha McIntyre. She'll be in a new web series called "Cupidity." We talk about giving yourself creative opportunities, such as when Haddad and friends founded the Meadows Basement theatre company. She's also a voice on the new Cartoon Network series "Regular Show", and we talk about life in the voiceover booth. We talk about national parks, Guys who freak out on "Last Comic Standing," and rest and relaxation at the spa (where fish nibble on your feet, though Brodie operates under the misapprehension that bugs are utilized instead). This episode also features music by I See Hawks In L.A.
