In den News unterhalten sich Marco und Alkis über die geplante U.S.-amerikanische Ausgabe des Eurovision Song Contests und über mögliche Austragungsmöglichkeiten des Song Contests  im Zeichen von Covid19. Zu Gast sind Iryna und Natallia, beide stammen aus Belarus und leben mittlerweile in Österreich.Sie erzählen von der wechselvollen Geschichte dieses für viele unbekannten Landes, das in der Vergangenheit ein Spielball zwischen Litauen, Polen und Russlands.Obwohl Belarus seit 2004 beim Eurovision Song Contest teilnimmt, hat es bis 2017 gedauert, bis die belarusische Sprache Eingang fand. Die Gruppe NaviBand trat mit "Historyja Majho Zyccia" auf, der Titel wurde für den Auftritt in "Story of My Life" umbenannt, die Sprache blieb. NaviBand sind Teil der aktuellen Protestbewegung.Seit der Unabhängigkeit des Landes 1991  gab es ab 1994 nur einen Präsidenten, Aljaksandr Lukaschenka. Mit undemokratischen Mitteln weitete er im Laufe der Jahre seine Macht aus, entmachtete das Parlament und es verschwanden Oppositionelle, von denen vermutet wird, dass sie ermordet wurden.Natallia und Iryna erzählen aber auch von der jüngeren Vergangenheit, der Corona-Krise und der Ignoranz des Präsidenten. Es wurde offensichtlich, dass die Menschen in der Krise sich selbst organisiert haben, was jetzt auch die Proteste widerspiegeln.Im Vorschaubild ist die Protest-Fahne von Belarus zu sehen, die erste Flagge des unabhängigen Landes, die durch Lukaschenko 1995 ersetzt wurde.Natürlich sprechen wir auch über den einzigen gebürtigen Belarusen, der den Eurovision Song Contest je gewonnen hat: Alexander Rybak hat mit "Fairytale" in Moskau 2009 groß abgeräumt. Er trat aber für Norwegen an, dem Land, in dem er seit seinem vierten Lebensjahr lebte.Trotz aller Geschichte und Tagespolitik haben wir auch über die Eurovisions-Beiträge des jungen Landes gesprochen. Eine vollständige Playlist findet ihr auf Youtube.Bei den drei Fragen am Schluss gibt es recht überraschende Antworten:Natallias Lieblingsbeitrag aus dem Jahr 2020 ist der Song aus Estland: "What Love Is" von Uku Suviste. Iryna hat keinen Lieblingssong aus dem heurigen Jahr.Irynas Lieblingsgeschichte zum Song Contest ist der Sieg von Rybak, Natallia erinnerte sich an den Sturz von Dana International, als sie 1999 in Jerusalem die Trophäe an Charlotte Nilsson überreichen sollte und vom Gewicht überrascht wurde.Die absoluten Lieblingssongs von Iryna und Natallia sind "Fairytale" und "Story Of My Life".In der Kleinen Song Contest Geschichte am Schluss erzählt von dem Moment, als die Niederlande im Jahr 2000 auf Grund einer nationalen Tragödie die Übertragung abbrach. Am Nachmittag vor der Übertragung des Song Contests expoldierte in der Stadt Enschede eine Feuerwerksfabrik, viele Tote waren zu beklagen. Marlayne, die Vorjahresteilnehmerin verkündigte deswegen keine Televoting-Ergebnisse, sondern die der Jury.

In Estonia's Eurovision 2020 song, Uku Suviste asks "What Love Is". The sweet — some might say sickly — ballad captures the transformative power of love with lyrics like: “I couldn’t have told you what blue is till I looked into your eyes...or how soft the feel of a cloud is till I was touching your skin.” The song has a throwback quality that reminds many of Philipp Kirkorov earworms of yesteryear. We review the song — to many, a surprise winner of Eesti Laul 2020.

Eesti Laulu võitja Uku Suviste rääkis nii finaalimuljeid kui ka natukene sellest, kas laval midagi enne Eruovisionit muudetakse. Läbi käidi ka olulised etapid tema elus ja nendest saadud õppetunnid – alates Berklee kolledžis õppimisest kuni Filipp Kirkoroviga kohtumiseni.

Eesti Laul 2020 on saanud võitja! Palju õnne Uku Suviste! Aga mida arvasid finaali laule kuulates Elina Born ja Jüri Pootsmann – seda kuuled podcasti uues osas. Kui laulud analüüsitud, ei tahtnud jutt kuidagi otsa lõppeda ja nii tuli Jüril aru anda ka oma euroetteastest.

Ta on osalenud veel ka sellistes saadetes nagu "Eesti talent", "Laulukarussell" ja "Laulupealinn". 2014. aastal käis ta koos Uku Suviste ja Kristjan Kasearuga kontserditurneel “Kaks ja pool meest”.Jaagup loob enda lauludele täiesti CRAZY'sid muusikavideoid! Ta mõtleb suurelt, tegutseb julgelt ja on õppinud teiste arvamusest mitte välja tegema. Rääkisime Jaagupiga sellest, kuidas luua suuri asju, kuidas inimesi endaga kaasa haarata, kuidas oma hirmudest üle olla, superstaarisaatest ja paljust muust, mida ta on 18 eluaasta jooksul korda on saatnud :)
