Last week, we celebrated artists who returned to Eurovision to greater glory, but this week, we look at artists who came back to sadly a worse result (sometimes more than once). Let this be a lesson to any ESC artist who's considering a return in 2025: it's not always worth it. Jeremy's had it up to here with the scatting, Oscar goes to bat for the double-double, and Dimitry's hungry for some Fud.Support our listener William's 5K at Perkins School for the Blind: https://www.perkins.org/event/everybody-in/Watch the performances from this week's episode on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMLx7Isyfvc&list=PLd2EbKTi9fyU5o9btI-kwKs8c2epKADB9This week's companion playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2wl4MFGzX45f9NbqI9yltl?si=541U1dYDR9qq3eTA7cDVpw The Eurovangelists are Jeremy Bent, Oscar Montoya and Dimitry Pompee. The theme was arranged and recorded by Cody McCorry and Faye Fadem, and the logo was designed by Tom Deja.Production support for this show was provided by the Maximum Fun network. The show is edited by Jeremy Bent with audio mixing help was courtesy of Shane O'Connell.Find Eurovangelists on social media as @eurovangelists on Twitter and Instagram, or send us an email at eurovangelists@gmail.com. Programleder: Sivert MoeSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/anger.

ENTREVISTA SUBTITULADA EN ESPAÑOL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_X_1-mPfKYk&t=10s BIO:Alexander Rybak is an all-around musical talent a singer, songwriter, composer, violinist, pianist, and arranger from Norway who rose to international chart-topping success in 2009 after winning the Eurovision Song Contest with "Fairytale." Born on May 13, 1986, in Minsk, Belarus, he is the son of a classical pianist and a classical violinist. When he was four years old, his family left what was then the Soviet Union and moved to Norway. At age ten he began studies at the Barratt Due Institute of Music in Oslo. In 2009, after winning several awards, among them the 2004 Anders Jahre Culture Prize and the 2009 Melodi Grand Prix, he represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest with his song "Fairytale." Written and composed by Rybak, "Fairytale" not only won the contest; it also set a new record with 387 points, the most ever garnered in Eurovision history. Shortly after winning the Eurovision Song Contest, "Fairytale" was released as a single and hit number one in numerous countries, among them Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Russia, and Greece. In addition, the song hit the Top Ten in the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Netherlands, Austria, and Germany. Several months later, Rybak made his full-length solo album debut with Fairytale (2009) on EMI. Released in over 25 different countries around the world, Fairytale was a commercial blockbuster, topping the Norwegian charts and going three times platinum in terms of sales; moreover, it reached number one in Russia and the Top Five in Sweden and Finland. Written largely by Rybak and sung in English, the album includes the follow-up singles "Funny Little World," a Norwegian chart-topper, and "Roll with the Wind," a Top Ten hit. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/cristhian-navarrete/message
In this episode, our first double doctor, your well-cooked but still runny team take Eurovision into the crook of their arm to gives its hair a good-natured ruffling. Our official European correspondent Jon Rasmus Nyquist drops by to offer his local perspective, and together we insult Swedish people, compare meal sizes, and set our watches to DIARRHEA. Along the way, we swim in the deep end of Eurovision, discussing Alexander Rybak's "Fairytale", Dschinghis Khan's "Dschinghis Khan", Buranovskiye Babushki's "Party For Everybody", Herrey's' "Diggi-Loo Diggi-Ley", Sylvia Night's "Congratulations", and Lordi's "Hard Rock Hallelujah" and maybe some more i can't remember. The presence of our official European correspondent compels us to introduce ourselves and the show in a more substantial way than normal, though we fight valiantly against it. This episode is not brought to you by Smithfield Hams, which, despite our vocal and unsolicited support, is not even fit for dogs. Instead, this episode is brought to you by Hillshire Hams, the Lamborghini of ham.

An marco@mercicherie.at - aber Achtung: You cannot vote for your own country! Jede Menge Ersatz-ESCs: Die EBU veranstaltet am 16. Mai die offizielle Ersatz-Show "Europe Shine A Light". Neue Rubrik: "If I Were Sorry - Das Merci, Chérie Erratum: Alf Poier nahm natürlich 2003 beim ESC teil. 1976 gewannen sie in Den Haag mit "Save Your Kisses For Me" Weitere Hits: Kiss Me, Kiss Your Baby Oh Boy Angelo Figaro Und was sind die Lieblingssongs vom Eurovision Song Contest?
