It's the fifth and final installment of our Player Prediction Series, and we're wrapping things up with perhaps the biggest mystery on the Pacers roster: Ivica Zubac. After last season's blockbuster trade, Pacers fans only got a brief glimpse of the team's new center before a rib injury ended his season after just five games in a blue and gold uniform. We never got to see him share the floor with Tyrese Haliburton or Pascal Siakam, leaving plenty of questions heading into next season. How will Zubac's numbers translate in Indiana? What impact can he have as the defensive anchor of this team? Will the Pacers finally solve their rebounding issues? And how does the offense evolve with a traditional center occupying the paint instead of the spacing provided by previous lineups? Ryan and Brad break down their statistical projections, expectations, and concerns for Indiana's new man in the middle while discussing what success would look like in Year 1 of the Zubac era. Plus, we close out the show with a look ahead to Game 3 of the NBA Finals as the series shifts to Madison Square Garden. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Indiana football's national title glow keeps getting stranger — and bigger — as Curt Cignetti becomes the face of EA Sports College Football. But behind the celebration is a bigger question: how long can NIL donor funding and college sports' current business model really last?On this episode of CrimsonCast, Galen Clavio and Scott Caulfield dig into NIL donor fatigue, why schools keep asking fans for more money, and how college athletics is still trying to operate like something other than the business it has become. Then they shift to Cignetti's video game cover moment, why it matters for Indiana football recruiting and perception, and the surreal experience of seeing IU football treated like a national power. The show wraps with Pacers roster questions, the Zubac trade, the lost draft pick, the Knicks' rise, Jalen Brunson, and what team-building in modern sports might tell us about Indiana football's championship model.Subscribe and follow CrimsonCast for smart, direct conversation on Indiana Hoosiers football, IU basketball, the Pacers, NIL, and the changing world of college sports.

The lottery reaction was one thing… the fallout afterward somehow got even crazier. Brad and Ryan regroup to break down the discourse surrounding the Pacers officially conveying the No. 5 pick to the Clippers as part of the Ivica Zubac trade. The guys explain why this was still the correct “win-now” move for Indiana, why Zubac remains one of the best values at the center position in the league, and why context matters when evaluating aggressive front office decisions. They also discuss Kevin Pritchard's transparency and accountability in the aftermath of the lottery, while reacting to some of the wildly over-the-top national takes calling the trade a disaster or suggesting KP should be fired. A passionate conversation about risk, roster building, and why the Pacers are still positioned to make another serious run next season. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. It's the fifth installment of Sunday State of the Pacers, and the losses continue to pile up. Indiana drops three more games this week to the Knicks, Trail Blazers, and Spurs, extending their franchise-record losing streak to 16 straight. It's been a difficult stretch, and this week brought another tough blow with Ivica Zubac ruled out for the remainder of the season due to a fractured rib. As challenging as this run has been, we do our best to find the silver linings — highlighting individual performances, moments of growth, and what can still be learned during this final stretch of the season. We also look ahead to a busy four-game week that features some intriguing storylines, including the potential return of Benn Mathurin and Isaiah Jackson to Gainbridge Fieldhouse, along with matchups against the Magic, Lakers, and Heat. The results haven't been there, but the evaluation continues — and we break it all down on this week's Sunday State of the Pacers. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. On this edition of The Sideline Guys Powered by Gainbridge, Pat Boylan and Jeremiah Johnson delve into Ivica Zubac's first games as a Pacer. They discuss his current fit, future fit when the Pacers are healthy, and the importance of getting minutes this season. They'll also discuss Aaron Nesmith heating up, continued defensive struggles, and more opportunity for young players.
It's the fourth installment of Sunday State of the Pacers, and this week featured a busy stretch with four games as Indiana faced the Kings, Suns, Knicks, and Bucks. The Pacers went 0–4 on the week, but several of those games were competitive well into the final minutes. Ultimately, late-game defensive breakdowns and a lack of timely shot making proved to be the difference as Indiana struggled to close games out. There were still some bright spots. Aaron Nesmith continued his strong run of play, delivering another productive week, and fans got their first look at Ivica Zubac in a Pacers uniform, adding an intriguing new element to the lineup as he works his way into the rotation. We break down the key performances from the week, discuss the defensive issues that continue to surface late in games, and examine where the roster stands as the season enters its final stretch. We also look ahead to the week to come, with Indiana heading back on the road to Madison Square Garden, returning home to face Portland, and wrapping up the week in San Antonio. For the first time since the blockbuster deadline deal, the Pacers faced the Clippers after sending Benn Mathurin and Isaiah Jackson to Los Angeles in exchange for Ivica Zubac and Kobe Brown. Zubac still hasn't suited up for Indiana, but the former Pacers made their presence felt immediately. Mathurin delivered a vintage scoring performance, attacking the rim, living at the free throw line, and finishing +32 in just 22 minutes. Jackson added his best game yet in a Clippers uniform, bringing energy and production against his former team. Meanwhile, Indiana's defensive struggles continued as they allowed 130+ points for the fifth time since the All-Star break. We break down the emotional return for the former Pacers, what Mathurin's night says about the trade, why Indiana once again looked overmatched, and how injuries and lineup instability continue to make wins hard to come by. With the Pacers still searching for their first win after the All-Star break, the slide toward the bottom of the standings continues. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. On today's Kevin O'Connor show, we've got a trade-deadline special! Kevin O'Connor is joined by Tom Haberstroh to dissect any and all movement in the league before the 3 PM ET buzzer, going through the biggest winners and losers in what may be the weirdest trade deadline in NBA history.First, the pair discuss the Milwaukee Bucks' decision to retain Giannis Antetokounmpo, and what that means for the landscape of the NBA–and for the future outlook of the Golden State Warriors, especially after the anticlimactic end of the Jonathan Kuminga saga. Were the Warriors the biggest losers of the trade deadline? Will another team arise in the summer to win the Antetokounmpo sweepstakes?Next, they discuss the James Harden trade to the Cleveland Cavaliers, and if this move can bring the city of Cleveland to the Finals once again. Then, they muse on what exactly made this deadline so weird: multiple All-Stars being traded to bad NBA teams. They ask: why are bad teams trading for good players? Why are the Utah Jazz putting their top-8 protected first round pick in jeopardy? Why such a paltry return for Anthony Davis, who was traded for Luka Doncic just last year?Plus, they cover all the bases with the more local trades made, from the Chicago Bulls picking up 9 second round picks to the Boston Celtics acquiring their long-coveted big man in Nikola Vucevic. Plus more questions: why didn't the Sacramento Kings trade for Ja Morant? Why did the Philadelphia 76ers let go of Jared McCain? All that and much, much more on today's KOC Show!(0:16) Trade deadline instant reactions(4:33) Giannis not traded by Bucks(10:39) Warriors trade Kuminga to Hawks(25:49) Cavs get James Harden(43:34) Wizards acquire Anthony Davis(48:22) Clippers trade Zubac to Pacers(55:57) Jazz trade for Jaren Jackson Jr.(1:02:18) Ja Morant stays in Memphis(1:07:45) Timberwolves trade recap(01:10:18) What are the Chicago Bulls up to?(01:13:05) Celtics trade Simons for Vucevic(01:19:04) 76ers trade Jared McCain to OKC
