Nintendo in the 2000's was a period of transition. Moving to the world of more "adult gaming" while keeping their core "fun over all" values led to strange experiments and commercial triumphs. Both The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword are examples of this shift in philosophy. Going from Wind Waker cute to Twilight dark and back to Skyward bright not only shines light on Nintendo as a company but gaming culture as a whole. Join myself and a team of Zelda fans as we compare, contrast, and give context to a decade of change and discovery.Starring (all handles from Twitter): Jodi aka @bakeuielIan aka @teacherbloke85@gameswithcoffeeRedAuxPDXLord Rev D (@Knightfall247) from Rule Books Anonymous PodcastSong CoversZelda: Twilight Princess - Faron Woods - Guitar/English Horn Cover ft. It's time once again for one of our Patreon-supported bonus episodes! Our favorite Aussies Elliot Jay O'Neill and BT Calloway are back, and this time they had us play the Wild West/Samurai shooter RED STEEL 2! The original RED STEEL was a launch game for the Wii which failed to deliver on it's promise of high-octane katana/pistol action, but for it's sequel, the developers went back to the drawing board, creating a whole new universe with Wii Motion Plus-enhanced controls that finally let you feel like a sword-swinging badass! We take a look at the new Wii MotionPlus addition for the WiiMote which allegedly ads true 1:1 motion control and increases the accuracy of the 3D positioning and it's musical possibilities - it's demonstrated by the new WiiMusic titles with people "playing" various instruments at the recent E3 demo. Then we talk about virtuoso drummers - with plenty of drummer jokes, then on to famous sounds, green technology and finally David Beckham in the Sharpies ad.
