The Mystery Finally Cracked—And You Won't Believe Who Solved It!What happens when a week-long on-air mystery finally gets cracked… by the one person no one expected? This episode of The JB and Sandy Show delivers everything fans love—laugh-out-loud moments, local pride, unexpected twists, and that signature chemistry between JB, Sandy, and Tricia that keeps Austin tuning in. We kick things off with Tricia's first laugh of the day—an awkwardly hilarious social experiment that sparks a relatable conversation about feeling completely out of place. Sandy admits, “There's nothing hip about me at all,” setting the tone for a candid (and funny) deep dive into imposter syndrome at “cool” hangouts. From there, the crew jumps into a fast-paced round of Care Don't Care, where they weigh in on everything from celebrity honors to major shopping events. One standout moment? The reaction to Idris Elba being knighted, leading to the unforgettable line: “In your country you're ‘sir,' over here… you're Brad.” But the real heart of the episode builds around the Mystery Oldie—a song that had listeners stumped for an entire week. Just when it seems like no one can solve it, the answer comes out of nowhere… and completely flips expectations. The reveal is as surprising as it is satisfying, with one of the hosts admitting, “I thought for sure that was someone else.” Along the way, there's plenty of Austin flavor—from excitement around a brand-new downtown walkway opening to celebrating the University of Texas softball team on the brink of another national championship. It's a perfect blend of community, culture, and conversation. And don't miss the high-energy Minute to Win It game, where a local caller races against the clock in a hilariously simple (but nerve-wracking) trivia challenge. As JB puts it, “Ten ridiculously easy questions”—but somehow, the pressure makes it anything but! This episode is a reminder of why mornings with JB, Sandy, and Tricia feel like catching up with friends—unfiltered, unpredictable, and always entertaining.
Are Robot Dogs Taking Over… and Why Are Adults Fighting Over Pokémon Cards?” That's just the beginning of this wildly entertaining episode of The JB and Sandy Show, where everyday moments spiral into unforgettable conversations, laugh-out-loud confessions, and a few “wait… what just happened?” headlines. The crew kicks things off with relatable family chaos as JB and Sandy joke about parenting wins, competitive credit-taking, and the reality of raising teenagers. Tricia delivers the first laugh of the day with a line that hits home for every parent: “You're a good mom… those kids don't listen—they probably get it from their dad.” In “Care or Don't Care,” the team dives into some of the strangest and funniest trending stories—including a near-brawl at a grocery store Pokémon vending machine… and yes, adults were the problem. As Sandy puts it, “Adult collectors ruin it for kids,” sparking a conversation about nostalgia, obsession, and how far is too far. Then, they break down the upcoming global soccer tournament in a way that even casual fans can follow—highlighting favorites, underdogs, and the surprising introduction of robot dogs patrolling event security. JB's reaction says it all: “Even the dogs are losing their jobs to AI.” The energy ramps up with Minute to Win It, where listener Teresa keeps her cool under pressure and scores big—proving that sometimes all it takes is quick thinking and a little confidence to walk away a winner. But one of the most memorable segments? The return of Free Phones, where listeners call in about anything—and everything. From long commutes and early-morning routines to behind-the-scenes glimpses into everyday jobs, the conversations remind you why live radio still matters. As one caller shares their hour-long commute, the hosts keep it real, relatable, and genuinely engaging. There are also unexpected gems throughout the episode—stories about forgotten Uber items (including some truly bizarre ones), music nostalgia that instantly transports you to another time, and the simple joy of hearing a surprise song you didn't know you missed. By the end, the show feels less like a broadcast and more like hanging out with friends—laughing, venting, reminiscing, and discovering something new together. Memorable Moments & Quotes: “You're a good mom… those kids don't listen—they probably get it from their dad.” “Adult collectors ruin it for kids.” “Even the dogs are losing their jobs to AI.” “Sometimes you just want something thrown at you you didn't expect.” Why You Should Listen: This episode blends humor, headlines, and heartfelt connection into one seamless ride. Whether it's the absurdity of modern trends, nostalgic music moments, or real conversations with listeners, there's something here that will make you laugh, think, and maybe even call in yourself next time. If you laughed, related, or learned something new, don't keep it to yourself—subscribe, leave a review, and share this episode with a friend who needs a good laugh today. And next time, be part of the conversation—you never know where it might go.
*** This was recorded in February.*** In today's episode, a couple of very important bubble pros have joined me to go back in time to talk about the final season of the show that started this podcast. Erin from It's a Fandom Thing and my first tolerable Laura are here to talk about Stranger Things. From character growth, or lack there of, Dungeons and Dragons, the power of the smirk, missing the squelching, and S.O.R.A.S the three of us cover it all. Thanks for listening and keep streaming! Are You ‘Not Friendly'… or Just Done With People? THave you ever wanted to yell “not friendly!” just to avoid an awkward interaction? That question sets the tone for a wildly entertaining episode of The JB and Sandy Show, where everyday life gets hilariously dissected—and nothing is off limits. From unexpected dog encounters to viral food obsessions and the quirks of Austin living, this episode is packed with laugh-out-loud moments and relatable truths. Tricia kicks things off with a story that instantly resonates—borrowing a trick from dog owners by shouting “not friendly!” to keep people at bay. What starts as a funny workaround quickly turns into a bigger conversation about personal boundaries, public behavior, and those little moments that can flip your mood in seconds. The show dives into a mix of “care or don't care” topics that spark strong opinions. Ferrari's attempt to embrace electric vehicles raises eyebrows—“Where's the noise?”—while a discussion about relationship habits offers blunt, no-nonsense advice. Then comes a surprising confession from across America: people are obsessed with cheese. And honestly, who can blame them? Listeners also get a dose of Austin culture, as the crew reacts to a local controversy over changes at a beloved movie theater. The debate over nostalgia vs. modernization hits home, highlighting just how passionate people can be about their traditions. As one moment suggests, sometimes progress isn't always welcome—especially when it interrupts a good experience. The fun continues with one of the show's signature games, Minute to Win It, where a contestant proves that even the simplest questions can get intense under pressure. And in a segment that's become a fan favorite, “Cheeseburger Brock” returns with a mouthwatering recommendation that has everyone debating the ultimate burger experience. There are also unforgettable side moments—from a uniquely Austin-style dog-naming debate to a surprisingly addictive snack discovery that leads to the bold declaration: “It tastes exactly like a hamburger patty… but it's a chip.” It's these offbeat, spontaneous moments that make the show feel like you're hanging out with friends who always have something unexpected to say. Whether it's playful arguments, relatable frustrations, or just pure comedic timing, this episode captures the essence of what makes The JB and Sandy Show so addictive—real conversations, big laughs, and a little chaos along the way. If you laughed, cringed, or found yourself saying “that's so me,” don't miss what's next—subscribe now, leave a review, and share this episode with someone who needs a good laugh today.
Would You Survive This Marriage… or Run for the Hills? “If love looks like sarcasm, separate bedrooms, and zero sappy moments… is that still a happy marriage?” That's the question that kicks off one of the most hilariously honest episodes of The JB and Sandy Show—and it only gets better from there. From the very first laugh, JB, Sandy, and Tricia pull you into a morning packed with relatable moments, unexpected confessions, and the kind of humor you don't hear anywhere else. It starts simple enough: why do we all pretend to do math in our heads while secretly hoping someone else answers first? One standout moment dives into the idea of “kidult playtime”—yes, adults reconnecting with childhood hobbies to relieve stress. While the idea sounds wholesome, the reactions are anything but. “I hated those things when I was a kid—I don't want to do them now,” becomes an instant classic line, sparking a conversation about what actually helps us unwind. Then there's the high-energy Minute to Win It game, where contestant Parker races against the clock to answer “ridiculously easy” questions—and nearly loses it all on the final one. The tension, the simplicity, and the payoff make it one of the most fun segments of the episode. But the real heart (and comedy gold) comes from Sandy and Tricia's marriage—a relationship that completely flips the script on what you'd expect. After 18 years together, romance isn't exactly their thing. They don't exchange sweet goodnights… they “shoot each other the finger.” They don't share a bedroom… and they wouldn't have it any other way. When Sandy tells Tricia, “You look so beautiful with the sunlight bouncing off your face,” her reaction? “Oh my God, what made you think of that? It just makes me want to turn it inside out.” It's brutally honest. It's wildly funny. And it raises a surprisingly thoughtful question: what does a successful relationship really look like? The episode wraps with an open call to listeners—are there other couples out there like this? Because if there are, JB and Tricia want to hear from you. Why You'll Want to Listen: Laugh out loud at painfully relatable everyday moments Hear one of the most unconventional (and entertaining) takes on marriage Play along with the easiest trivia game that somehow still feels stressful Get a dose of real, unfiltered morning radio chemistry Memorable Moments & Quotes: “If we're both doing math in our heads, I'm just pretending—it's all on you.” “I hated those things when I was a kid. I don't want to do them now.” “We did not marry our best friend.” “It just makes me want to turn it inside out.” If this episode made you laugh, cringe, or nod in agreement, don't keep it to yourself—subscribe, leave a review, and share it with someone who needs a good laugh today. Your support helps more listeners find the chaos and comedy of JB and Sandy!
