Back then he had no idea what quantitative finance is, but being good with numbers always came natural. Alexei is a serial entrepreneur. Attended Hunter College in NYC studying economics for two years. Went on to start a couple of startups in the early 2000s. Continued on to 10 years of algorithmic trading on various markets. Quantitative finance quickly became his obsession. In his early days of algorithmic trading, he was chasing the holy grail, just like all beginners. But over the years he has learned what a good strategy is when it comes to investing. It was ten long years of trial and error and continuous education, learning from the greats like Wyckoff and Markowitz. Creating models, simulations, testing algorithms - then wiping the board clean and starting over from a clean slate. After receiving an Artificial Intelligence with Python nano degree from Udacity, he decided to augment his purely mathematical approach and let ML do some of the heavy lifting. Alexei decided to combine the classical theory with ML. The results came out better than he could have dreamed then he decided to go ahead with another startup. In 2016 Anthony Rose co-founded SeedLegals, a revolutionary new legal tech platform that lets startups and investors complete the legals needed to build, grow and fund their business, at a fraction of the cost of using a law firm. Known as “The man behind BBC iPlayer”, Anthony ran the iPlayer and other BBC services from 2007 to 2010, taking the iPlayer from pre-launch to major success story. SeedLegals was founded by serial entrepreneur Anthony and serial angel investor Laurent Laffy who met at a party in Rome. They'd both had enough of paying insane amounts of money to lawyers for the same legal documents at every funding round, and funding rounds taking months to negotiate and close. They decided to change it. Founders365 is hosted by business coach Steven Haggerty and shares 365 insights from 365 founders during 2020.
